Well now it's three. Rabble rabble Bryz can't stop a puck in the shootout, rabble rabble no one can score, rabble rabble WHY DOES LAVI KEEP GOING TO SIMMONDS IN THE SHOOTOUT?!?
Am I missing something? I mean I don't even think Simmonds has scored in a shootout in his career. Christ, I guess he's saving Rinaldo, Sestito, and Bourdon for the next one.

Canucks go to extra time. Again. This is getting ridiculous. Guess I can't complain much, were doing pretty damn good despite a lack of effort. Tonight seemed like a better effort from the highlights/listening to the radio.

I'm actually seeing this as a positive. At some point in every season, most teams slump for a bit. Vancouver is in a slump right now and they've take 11 out of the last 12 points. Just a couple of bad bounces got in for Nashville, cause Luongo is on his game right now. He's playing like the elite goalie that he is, and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the team does.

Weren't people saying that he should be on the trading block at the beginning of the season and I was all like "that's dumb"... I distinctly remember that.

Everybody wanted Luo gone, and that Schneider was our saviour. Now it's hard to find a Luo hater on CDC (Canucks forum). That's Canucks fans for you.

That Alumni game is going to be insane No disrespect, just at first glance it wasn't the Winter Classic I was expecting to see announced. I'm sure it'll be a fun game. Awful game tonight. How refs can be so lopsided and obviously cater to a certain team is disgusting and quite frankly, shocking. The first goal was clean, I don't see how anyone can argue it wasn't. And for it to be called off? Unbelievable. It was all downhill from there.

...It says that the current slump they're in is because of the suspensions, and it's 100% true. They haven't had their whole roster together, and it's effected their overall game. I don't see what so outlandish about that?

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the choices for the Winter Classic. I was mulling it over with fattic yesterday and after running through the teams, honestly, I would have loved to have seen the Canucks and the Bruins, the Senators and the Maple Leafs, the Habs and the Bruins or even the Red Wings and the Penguins. I mean...just some kind of rivalry game would have been good to see.

Canucks and Bruins in the Winter Classic would be better held in the parking lot so they can just brawl eachother and maybe eventually a hockey game would break out inside the arena. Bruins/Montreal would've been cool but I don't see Canadian teams hosting a winter classic because the NHL hates Canada. Pretty sure the one between Edmonton and Montreal will be the only real outdoor game played in Canada that gets any real league attention. I couldn't possibly care less about a Senators/Maple Leafs game.
What I would really want to see for the Winter Classic would be an Edmonton/Calgary game.

I'm pleased with the WC. Two teams with a bunch of history in the Big House = awesome. Plus it should be competitive considering both teams are pretty good.
For 2014 it would be cool to see Boston/Montreal.

The atmosphere at the Big House is going to be insane. I dont know if people understand how much of a rivalry we still have with Toronto. Its not like a Colorado/Pittsburgh rivalry where we despise everything about them. But whenever they come to Detroit its always 50/50 and the crowd is always into it, same with when Detroit plays in Toronto. And the events leading up to it in downtown Detroit will be great too. Alumni game, AHL game, OHL game, and a couple college and high school games. I'm gonna be broke

I'm mostly interested in seeing the Knights at comerica park. I'm really like Bitz playing with the sedins, lets see how this plays out.

I almost like drooled at that picture of the Big House with the rink set up in the middle. That atmosphere is going to be incredible. Should be an awesome time for those in Detroit, especially with the stuff in downtown Detroit.
Anyway, YAY FOR TWO POINTS!
