Lilja took a puck to the throat...luckily it wasn't from Chara. That would have killed him. Still trying to figure out how Talbot got hurt. Was going to watch the footage again, but I could only take so much of that douche Jack Edwards calling it.

If you're playing the Crosby NBC drinking game today....
You're probably dead after 5 minutes into the first period.
And also to add that the Flyers are just getting manhandled right now....and NBC seriously has a camera dedicated to Crosby's reaction anytime the Pens score......*sigh*

Hartnell, Giroux and Kunitz need ejected for that. Hartnell and Kunitz for breaking away from the refs twice to fight, not respecting their authority, and Giroux (I'm pretty sure it was Giroux, anyways) for purposely shooting the puck at a downed Malkin. Disgusting.

...and the Pens lose after giving up a 2 goal lead and a terrible goal with .09 left in OT.
Only the Penguins.

I love how everyone is pissed that Sidney Crosby's getting so much coverage. The best hockey player in the world just came back for the second time from what was at one point considered a career ending injury, and people are surprised/pissed that he's getting media coverage.
Hell, I was watching the game today and I only heard Crosby's name mentioned a handful of times when he didn't have the puck. If people want to get pissy about that, then they need to throw fits when Sedin, Stamkos, Ovie, Malkin, Giroux, Jagr, Thomas and Chara's names are mentioned...because very rarely do I hear an NHL telecast without their names being mentioned also.
And no, I'm not this peeved because I'm a Pens fan. I've had this argument with Rated R, Pepsi and fattic over the years. He's the best player in the league right now. I'm sure it was this bad when Lemieux and Gretzky were playing a long while back. So he's the posterboy. The NHL has had a few of them over the years. Sure he dives sometimes. I can't watch a Canucks game without seeing the twins purposely eat ice. Sure he complains to the refs when sh*t goes south. I've seen Ovie want to literally strangle refs every game because of bad calls.
Sheesh...the Sid hate pisses me off so much. If you're going to hate on Sid, hate on the other big names that are shoved down our throats.

Pavel Datsyuk came back, Giroux came back, St. Louis came back.
Almost nobody cared.
Sid comes back.
OMG 50 STORIES ON NHL.COM AND SID CAM AND LETS SHOW HIS EVERY SHIFT OMGGZZZ.
Its like I said last time, most people are used to the attention he's getting. He's been getting it for a better part of his career. Its the constant mindset that he's the ONLY player that has ever returned from something serious that annoys people.

You honestly think that guys like Giroux, Jagr, Malkin, Thomas, etc. are shoved down our throats as much as Crosby? As Tebow mentioned, several players have returned from concussions yet that's no big deal. I understand it's a career threatening injury...it's a concussion, which is no joke. Not to mention it's not hating on Crosby (at least not to me), he has no control over it.

Yes I do. I can't watch any hockey game without their names coming up as frequently, if not more than Crosby's.

I'm just shocked NHL.com's front page headline didn't read...
"The greatest eighteen minutes and thirty seven seconds on the ice we've ever seen." "Video: Watch Sid's three shots."

Was going to watch the footage again, but I could only take so much of that douche Jack Edwards calling it. Bite your tongue, I'd give my life if it meant Jack Edwards could call games for the rest of eternity.

Bite your tongue, I'd give my life if it meant Jack Edwards could call games for the rest of eternity. I think that could be arranged. Unfortunately, life will cease to exist so if things go smoothly maybe I can time travel and solve the cause of the non existence of earth and Jack Edwards and prevent it.

Yeah, like that's the first time ESPN has ever put any athlete up on a pedestal like that.
Where have I seen that recently...
Eli vs. The Patriots Tebow vs. The Bears Tebow vs. The Steelers Jagr vs. The Penguins Jagr vs. The Rangers James vs. The Lakers James vs. The Celtics Lin vs. The Lakers Drogba vs. United Pujols vs. The Rangers
You see? It happens on ESPN in every sport...even hockey...even on the Flyers. Come on now, you're normally a pretty chill guy on here. If you hate Crosby that much...that's your problem. But I don't know who you're trying to get your point across to, as I'm the only daily Penguins frequenter in here. Haha.
