11 penalties so far in Kings-Canucks. 8 of them on Vancouver. 5 "violent" penalties(Delay of Game and 10 minute that I'm not counting). All 3 LA penalties are "violent" penalties.
I say "violent" because I don't know a better word for it. It's really just one that involves contact.

I didn't see the first few, but that boarding call was completely justified. I guess those Canadians are ALREADY drunk .

Honestly, when I first saw the Bitz hit, I thought he missed Clifford. After seeing the replay, I agree with the call and Bitz will more than likely be suspended. In other news, thoughts on the OFFICIAL LA Kings twitter comment? "To everyone in Canada outside of B.C., you're welcome."

that game pissed me off on so many levels, lots of deserved penalties but lots of bullcrappenalties. it's hard to play a game if you don't know what you're allowed to do. refs inconsistency is embarassing

I thought that it was common knowledge that everyone in Canada hates the Canucks except for the Canucks. Haha.

Dustin Penner is my hero.
In other news I'm happy the Predators won as they're my bandwagon team right now. And talk about your all time collapses by the Penguins.

I have no real problem with the comment, mostly the source.

Well let's face reality here Pepsi...if anyone seriously believes that the Canucks weren't, in the back of their minds, banking on a sweep, they're nuts. That's part of the reason that a lot of people dislike the Canucks, because of their cocky attitude. Crush the Kings and move onto the Blackhawks if they don't choke to the Coyotes, and the Sharks collapse against the Blues.
The Canucks went into game one expecting to run over the Kings and instead they got steamrolled by the team they were supposed to manhandle. I think it's a little soon to be celebrating on the Kings part, but I see why they did it. Same reason people will be saying similar things about the Pens/Flyers tomorrow. Haha.

Eh, i wouldn't say they went in expecting a sweep. They know what the Kings can do, and the kings are in reality not an 8th place team. They underachieved all year.

I was really dissapointed with the Canucks, especially Kesler with some of the oversell's he tried to pull off during the game tonight, same with Henrik. A few instances showed both of them trying to sell some calls. I wish they would just play. Kesler is way too good of a hockey player to be falling everywhere. Dissapointing loss for sure, Kings got a nice break with the third goal. I'm sure they can get back on track come Game 2. Interesting first night of the Playoff's for sure. Cant wait for tomorrow night

Johnny Ace chimed in: "Thinking Shea Weber might make good addition to wwe #Raw roster with moves like this: wwe.me/aeIlz #PeoplePower #StanleyCup #NHL" the link is a gif of what Weber did, in case you didn't see it.

Weber getting fined and not suspended is laughable.

Bitz should of just turnbuckled Clifford. Will cost him less. In all serious though, Weber should of got at least 1 game.

I think Bettman just said, "Detroit will try to kill him anyway. That'll be his punishment."

I think Bettman just said, "Detroit will try to kill him anyway. That'll be his punishment." Yeah that'll happen Apparently since you can get away with anything in the Playoff's maybe Kronwall should step up on Radulov or Erat... It's sad that in today's NHL you can get fined $20,000 for calling out officiating/badmouthing the Pens/cussing but you only get $2,500 for trying to ram another human being's head into the glass after the games over. Good job NHL. (Holy run-on Batman!)
