The team needs to remember, you aren't going to score goals by losing races to the puck. I'm gonna watch the replay later tonight, but from the very little I saw (last 5 of the third) and read... seems their lack of hustle truly killed them.

Oh wow, that game was eerily similar to game six of the 1999 Stanley Cup finals, especially since Gaborik scored at almost the same time as Hull.

Finishing first in the East and only missing the Presidents Trophy by ONE game is "the hard way"? Leading the series over the Washington Capitals 2-1 is "the hard way"? Once again, you make a comment that has no truth to it whatsoever... just to make a comment. Please, just read your posts to yourself before you hit that "Reply" button. Make sure it at least makes sense. I don't understand everyone's (Flyers fans) beef with the Flyers defense in Game 3. I was at The Avengers marathon and missed the game, but I read nothing but "Bryz is the only one that showed up" and "Bryz can't carry the team to a win". I then watched the OT GWG and all it was was Ponikarovsky getting his own juicy rebound and putting it behind Bryz. From what I saw, the Flyers played much better than they did in Game 2. The offense had MANY great chances in the end of the third and in OT. Especially Schenner's deflection off of Yak's shot. That just missed the net and it's one of those "That really could've been the end of the game" scenarios. Briere was playing hard and had some close shots. All in all Marty and Ilya both looked good and the Devils got the OT goal... someone was going to get it. It just wasn't a Flyer, this time. Hoping the Flyers continue this trend and come out even stronger for Game 4. Solid, hard hitting 60 minutes. Not sure how they were on Thursday, but compared to Tuesday... they need to win the races to the puck! No excuse on why they weren't/aren't hustling to get those pucks. Maybe let them score the first goal?  I'M KIDDING! |
