Can we PLEASE get a standard modern era steel cage set to go around the ESR?? I am dying to get this. Nothing seems to work for this purpose. We need one!! I can't be alone... Couldn't we get 4 cage walls packaged alone at maybe a $35 price point? I don't need the ring, just the cage! Sell walls on Mattel.com... Something!!!

I agree, if we were to only get one accessory for the ESR, it should be a regular Steel Cage!
Hell-in-a-Cell, Elimination Chamber, or Money-in-the-Bank structures would be awesome but too much work for a limited release. Looking at the Kmart Steel Cage playset as reference, though, it's a pretty simple setup: 3 cage walls, 1 wall with swinging door, 4 upper corner clips, and 4 bottom corner clips with special attachments that clasp onto the corner ring posts. The whole kit would only be 12 pieces and could be packaged in a flat box, similar to the steel cage add-on for the Rumblers' ring. Make it a Matty's exclusive and you'd have a great collector's item!
Thinking about this always makes me wonder, just how bad were the ESR sales? Every store I saw that had them sold out within a few months. I think I only saw it on sale once, so it's not like it lingered around forever. Jakks' RSR's spent more time on the shelves. If the ESR sold out everywhere, wouldn't this mean that the initial production run of it actually did well? Or does Mattel have unsold cases of ESR's in their warehouses?
In my perfect world, a renewed interest in the ESR would encourage Mattel to make a Steel Cage add-on, a Smackdown Ring Skirt/Ropes kit, and the revival of the cancelled Legends ESR!

As a Legends only fan.....I would LOVE this.....Before the big blue cage (and in other companies other then WWF) they used the standard mesh fencing cage. I would love for them to make this then Id have a reason to buy the ESR and get new ring skirts.

This would actually be great to have, I really need one. So many ideas floating around me from a HIAS and I can't put them to work because there isn't a cage for it.

Ever since I bought a ESR all I've wanted for it was accessories. I would LOVE a ESR Cage, or HITC. I don't get why Mattel hasn't made some for RSC or Mattel Shop to sell.
I'm pretty sure Mattel has said the poor ESR sales are why they haven't made any accessories, but I'd like a more detailed answer why they can't make a web-exclusive for those who do want a Cage or HITC, etc. I'd just like Mattel to say how many hundreds/thousands they'd need to sell in order for them to justify production.

Should have a Cage with SmackDown Ropes and Skirts.
a HiTC with HiTC stuff
Same for all Gimmick PPVs
And a combo pack of all non-gimmick PPVs Ropes and Skirts
