Seems like everytime we get news from Mattel its bad news. Legends and Defining moments were my favorite lines. Glad I never sold my Jakks collection. Mattel really is dropping the ball on the WWE line. Agreed

Thanks for the reply MattelDesignTeam, I hope you understand that we really wanted you to succeed...It's just, I dunno....I'm losing interest and you guys haven't done anything in the past 6 months to make me want to continue collecting...other than Bret Hart. But what's next, really? Can you guys not even give us an idea on what the future holds for the Mattel WWE line? It seems at this point it may not be worth investing even more of our hard earned money into...

No DM CM Punk?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! FML. Seriously??? The DM line is ending and that's ALL you're concerned about? British Bulldog from '92 McMahon when he won the Rumble There are plenty of other true Legends who deserve a DM figure before he does. Don't get me wrong, he's great, but I think he hasn't really had a "Defining Moment" yet. Where in that post did I say that's the only thing I cared about, huh? I'm just dissapointed that we won't be getting a DM Punk, so chill. Lately, I've been feeling you're trying to start arguing with me again for the millionth time, but I'm not saying anything.

To continue the line a the same level of quality we would have to produce and sell through a certain number of each figure produced. This did not happen, and so as a business we need to walk away from this line for 2013. As the designer that worked on this line, and could not believe the good fortune that I got to design figures of Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior from my favorite match of theirs ever, Bret Hart from the awesome 1997 run, and Stone Cold from the beer bash on Raw I am probably more upset than all of you that the line is done. This is a business, and the market for wrestling action figures that appeal to an adult collector only is small and only getting smaller. A reality I do not like but one I am forced to accept as I do my job. yea its getting smaller and smaller cuz u guys are charging $30 a pop for figures. We'll c how long be4 the Flashbacks fail too.

Sucks. We got some amazing figures out of this line. But hey, I'm just happy it lasted a year. At least we got a bunch of DM's, rather than none.

If they make Elite Flashbacks a regular thing and continue to give us classic attires for some of the prominent old school guys (Hart, HBK, Taker, Macho, Warrior), then I'd be fine with it. I just don't want them to do away with the classic guys altogether. I'm not a fan of the current product and will not purchase those figures. And yes, I would absolutely buy a Papa Shango figure! He may not have been much of a wrestler, but the figure is pretty cool looking.

What could Mattel do? These things just wouldn't move. Target didn't even carry them for the Fall reset. Even at $10, EGs (essentially a basic DM) are still hanging around places like Marshalls and Family Dollar.

You know what, OTW, I'm not even gonna get into it with you. I have more important things to worry about then how some teenager thinks CM Punk is the second coming. Not worth my stress right now.

They're way overpriced. They can do the same level of quality for a cheaper $15 pricepoint, IMO. What you you base that opinion on?

once again we just get an answer from mattel that basically says Sales were poor and offers no hope for the future or any explanation of how they will try to save things going forward....
we'll prob get an answer later that says wait till toy fair for an answer of how we'll save the legends figures , but instead after waiting 6 months they'll just say, ya we cancelled everything because the consumer shows no interest in the product... Shame how our defining moments brian pillman sold so poorly after we worked so hard on him ... lol jk jk

they should cancel the stupid flexforce series!!! I hate you mattel, i haaaaateeeeeeeee yoooooouuuuuuuu!!!!! The hate is hardly necessary. Besides, Mattel stated that FlexForce sells with the kids, so why cancel it. Kid's love "action" figures tat do moves. Defining Moments are unappealing to kids, and especially their parents, who would rather spend $30 on 3 figures instead of one figure.

That's perfectly fine with me, do what you need to do. I just said that because you're starting something with me AGAIN and then later, you'll blame me for starting it. But whatever, do what you need to do. I don't want anyone to get in trouble, not again. If it wasn't worth your stress, you wouldn't have said anything to me, knowing I like to talk back, so clearly, it was worth your stress. Let's see who's mature now..

I don't really care about the DMs, but Legends online will likely be more after everything. I guarantee that it will fail. I am pissed that I have to pay out the ass for Andre. At least that's the only one. By the time Hogan is done at Impact, Legends will be cancelled for good. Ridiculous prices kill lines, as evidenced by DM and EG. Elites are damn near 20 bucks.its only a matter of time before those go to 19.99 and people stop buying those. I would much rather pay for gas.....or maybe even not...to find them rather than paying all sorts of phantom fees for a piece of plastic that should really be no more than 10 bucks. That's why I don't deal with Ringside and that's why I won't deal with Mattycollector. If you want to waste money on nothing, that's your defect.

A big shame... I used to blame Mattel but I think intreast in the other eras of wrestling is dying.
With the: New era PG WWE's lack of programs showing the great history they have The loss of many older fans Jakks been so popular thus people not wanting to start over
Maybe the lines were doomed to start with. I have them all apart from DM5 (which I will get) there great and even though I'll be paying crazy price's online due to been int Im just happy we will still be getting some. It would be nice if they could release more though say 2 every 2 month but I guess there just seeing how Andre does 1st.
We all have to live with the fact that we wont be getting as big as a collection as we all wanted, some of your favorites will be missed, not every era will be as represented as much as we want and some of the Legends choices you wont like.
I for one will: continue Hope the Legends continue and grows over time resulting in more per year Hope WWE promotes and celebrates its vast history!!!!!!! WWE programs mature and get better resulting in older fans coming back
Note: I think Papa Shango is a great choice and can't wait for his figure!
3-4 years ago A mate had kids who got loads of Jakks figures and I remember looking through (before I collected) and seeing people like Shango, Doink and guys like that because kids love that stuff. Look at Sin Cara kids loved him before he stepped in the ring. He looks different and cool....like a ninja.......(oh god I struggled with the cool ninja thing but thays all I could think of)
