A big shame... I used to blame Mattel but I think intreast in the other eras of wrestling is dying. With the: New era PG WWE's lack of programs showing the great history they have The loss of many older fans Jakks been so popular thus people not wanting to start over Maybe the lines were doomed to start with. I have them all apart from DM5 (which I will get) there great and even though I'll be paying crazy price's online due to been int Im just happy we will still be getting some. It would be nice if they could release more though say 2 every 2 month but I guess there just seeing how Andre does 1st. We all have to live with the fact that we wont be getting as big as a collection as we all wanted, some of your favorites will be missed, not every era will be as represented as much as we want and some of the Legends choices you wont like. I for one will: continue Hope the Legends continue and grows over time resulting in more per year Hope WWE promotes and celebrates its vast history!!!!!!! WWE programs mature and get better resulting in older fans coming back Note: I think Papa Shango is a great choice and can't wait for his figure! 3-4 years ago A mate had kids who got loads of Jakks figures and I remember looking through (before I collected) and seeing people like Shango, Doink and guys like that because kids love that stuff. Look at Sin Cara kids loved him before he stepped in the ring. He looks different and cool....like a ninja.......(oh god I struggled with the cool ninja thing but thays all I could think of) Why did you post this in poem format? lol I read it like it was supposed to rhyme or something FOOL!!! (only joking) They were buttet points without the.....bullets....our something. Yes I know how to do it but........ just didnt. ;D

I hope when WWE Network launches, they show more history of WWE and ramps up interest in Legends.
Mattel has to have some ads for WWE right?

Last week in TRU I overheard a mother refuse to buy her son a Sonic figure because it "didn't do anything". The kid was practically begging. Those figures are cool, but considering they don't offer much in the way of articulation, I wouldn't pay for them either.

To continue the line a the same level of quality we would have to produce and sell through a certain number of each figure produced. This did not happen, and so as a business we need to walk away from this line for 2013. As the designer that worked on this line, and could not believe the good fortune that I got to design figures of Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior from my favorite match of theirs ever, Bret Hart from the awesome 1997 run, and Stone Cold from the beer bash on Raw I am probably more upset than all of you that the line is done. This is a business, and the market for wrestling action figures that appeal to an adult collector only is small and only getting smaller. A reality I do not like but one I am forced to accept as I do my job. Yeah, it's sad that such a cool line didn't do better. Thanks, Bill, for giving us the Defining Moments figures! I'm glad that I was able to get them all, they stand proudly on my top display shelf among the Legends. I consider them to be the best achievement in what you can do with a WWE figure. If the current trend continues over the years, the Defining Moments series may remain as the best set of wrestling figures ever made! They're way overpriced. They can do the same level of quality for a cheaper $15 pricepoint, IMO. Based on what, though...TNA figures? They're hardly the same quality. Almost every comparable 7" line that I see is closer to the $19.99 range. Real Steel, Thundercats, DCU, Video Game, and Movie figures are not cheaper than $15. The only line I can think of is the recent Pirates of the Caribbean one that was around $14 each before it went on clearance for $6. Walk around the other toy sections and the prices are all pretty scary. I remember when you could buy Star Wars figures for $3.99...They look the same today but I'd hate to see how much they cost now! WWE prices really aren't so bad when you compare them to everything else around them. I'd rather get Debut Kane and Papa Shango than an a barely-articulated, and more expensive, Tony Montoya and Marcus Fenix...Even though I kinda wanted them for my crowd, heheh!

The Clone Wars figures and Saga Legends are around $8 each, the Vintage Collection are $9 to $10 each. G.I. Joes are around $8 each as are Marvel Universe figures. The idea that the 3 3/4 inch scale was the best way to keep figure prices low and gain the chance to sell accessories and play sets has fallen through a bit. That we can get a 6 inch figure for $10 is amazing. Sucks that anytime a figures series seems to inch over the $16 to $17 line it struggles.

One more time so that everyone finally understands this: Mattel are NOT to blame for the lack of big name guys in the Legends line. WWE explicitly told them NOT to include ANYONE who was active on their roster. That ruled out guys like: HBK, Undertaker, HHH etc. Flashbacks was their way of dodging the Legends branding which was stopping them from using those guys. Of course, HBK retired, and that's why you're seeing him in his Rockers gear.
I'm just as sad as everyone else to see DM go, but please do the research before you bash them for things out of their control.
As for Legends. I think the NYCC reveals have made it clear that they are trying to include Legends any way they can. You're more likely to see the obscure guys as chase figures in the more popular lines, and this makes more sense from a business standpoint because it's less of a risk for Mattel.
I was just as upset as everyone else earlier, but honestly, this could end up being more beneficial for Legends collectors than we first thought.

Buy basic figures then. Limited detail, very little articulation, little to no accessories and cheap packaging all for the "affordable" price of $9.99. Some of you kids dont realize you pay for what you get.

Mattel are taking away another line that we can only get legends at retail. Oh well, no legends equals no cash from me Mattel!

Hopefully they choose the flashback assortments wisely (95-98 HBK,HHH, Debut-Phenom era Taker, Bret Hart, As much as we'd all hate it, Thuganomics Cena, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, and guys of that ilk) so we don't lose those as well.

im a flexforce hater. i find them pointless. but then again, im sure kids eat them up which is whats most important lol They are actually perfect for Little Jimmys who like to bend arms and legs in all directions, but if Basics have arms and legs that move and are the same price as Flexforce, then of course Basics are going to sell more once Little Jimmy finds out the difference.
