I look back at JBL's reign as the last meaningful heel WWE Title reign. He held the belt for 9 or 10 months and by the time he lost it, the audience REALLY wanted him to lose it. Now belts are tossed around like a bag of Oreos. I'm really hoping that Mark Henry's reign lasts until Wrestlemania. Same with Del Rio in fact.

JBL had the best WWE title run of the last decade. It never got boring or dull like Cena's year long reign

The Age of Orton 07-08. Seriously he was a great heel at the time and he went through all the top faces. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Cena, Cena and Triple H at the same time!

I am really enjoying Cody's IC title reign now. With the throwback belt, his push, and the addition of another Rhodes family member added tot he IC title history, its a breath of fresh air.
Past reigns:
- Bret Hart's 2nd WWF title run in 1994
- Mr. Perfect's 2nd IC title run
- Demolition's 2nd Tag Team title run (1988 - 1989)
- Ultimate Warrior's 2nd IC title reign
- Rock's 2nd (?) IC title reign in 1998
- Austin's 2nd WWF title run in 1998

Cody's current IC Reign is looking good.
London and Kendrick's Tag Title reign was one of the best in WWE's modern day history.
I'd also put JeriShow's reign up there.

This times a thousand. Amazing run, pretty much rebooted Orton and is the only reign in recent memory where a heel was getting clean win over faces on a constant basis. Great time. |
