WWE road agents Gerry Brisco, Michael Hayes and Arn Anderson are in hot water with management for letting things get out of control. Hayes is in particular trouble for being the cause of some of the trouble, as he reportedly was cutting promos on people on the plane and provoked the fight with Bradshaw. Apparently no one will give up the name of the person who cut his hair, because they don't want that person punished, as most wrestlers felt Hayes had it coming. Undertaker is said to have played a part in settling Bradshaw down, much as Fit Finlay and Paul Heyman did with Brock Lesnar after Curt Hennig provoked the fight with him. Hennig also was squirting shaving cream at people, and put some in Big Show's hair whil he was asleep.
Finlay and fellow agents Johnny Ace and Dave Hebner are not in trouble with management, who are reportedly curious as to why Jim Ross didn't make more of an effort to settle thing down. Ross did ask Goldust to discontinue an impromptu serenade of Terri, who was embarrassed and upset by her ex husband singing love songs to her over the plane's microphone. Goldust is in hot water, but is not expected to be fired at this time.
Steve Austin and Debra were seated near the front of the plane, and kept to themselves during the flight, although Austin is said to want no further involvement with Hayes.
As for Scott Hall, his fate was already sealed before the trip back, as he was in poor condition, and behaving badly on several occasions during the trip, and during the Insurrextion PPV. He remained "asleep" during most of the trip, but was also in poor condition when he showed up for Raw. Hall is said to be quite unpopular backstage, and most of the crew is said to be happy that he's gone.
The Raw script had to be heavily reworked on Monday, due to dealing with the fallout from the trip, including wrestlers who were in trouble. Vince McMahon was on hand for the rewrites, and to deal with the guilty parties.

--May 9, 2002: Jim Ross was on Bubba the Love Sponge trying to play down the airplane incident, just saying it was four guys and not the whole crew, and gave the impression that on these overseas charter flights they aren't going to serve liquor anymore.

Wrestling has come a long way from being a traditional sport to then developing their own blend of sports and entertainment. These days in wrestling, the lines between reality and fiction are beginning to blur. Sometimes, the reality of wrestling becomes a little more entertaining than the product they are presenting.
In May of 2002, the WWE had finished a rather successful tour of Europe and it was now time to come back home to the States. SportsJet, a Phoenix-based charter flight service for sports teams, was transporting a good portion of the WWE roster home from Europe. Apparently, the wrestlers on the flight had gotten so out of hand that SportsJet decided almost two years later to file a lawsuit against the WWE.
So let’s get a brief rundown of the flight itinerary. Well let’s see here. We had road agent Michael Hayes getting his mullet cut off while he was sleeping. That’s not too bad, right? It’s actually kind of cheesy. Dustin Runnels (aka Goldust) got drunk and began to sing to his ex-wife Terri Runnels, a commentator for the WWE. Uncomfortable, but still nothing that threatened the well being of SportsJet’s employees. Oh, well how about Ric Flair groping all the flight attendants and wearing nothing but a studded cape and a smile? Are you
ing kidding me?
Five or six years ago, when wrestling was at it’s peak in popularity, I remember sitting down on a Monday night watching WCW and seeing a very emotional and honored Ric Flair return to WCW television after a nasty lawsuit he was engaged in with the company. At that moment, I thought Ric Flair was everything wrestling was supposed to be. He was traditional, technical, professional, and charismatic. Not to mention, it is pretty impressive for a man of his age to still be able to compete in the ring. But for a man of his age, he probably shouldn’t have been parading around an airplane making circular motions with his penis and hitting on all the flight attendants half his age. Besides the obvious legal reasons, let’s talk about gravity for a second. Let’s talk about how gravity hasn’t been Flair’s best friend lately and treats his breasts like shit. That automatically triples the inappropriate nature of the situation.
Other accusations were made in the lawsuit as well. Scott Hall demanded oral sex from one flight attendant. Shortly after the incident, Hall was fired. Dustin Runnels (also no longer employed by the WWE), a homosexual wrestler on television, ironically assured all the flight attendants he would be having sex with them all.
Jim Ross, RAW announcer and talent relations for the WWE, was all but pleased with the flight and was quoted calling the wrestlers “children” for their behavior. That kind of surprised me. I thought people from Oklahoma just wore cowboy hats, got drunk, and went out to knock down some road signs or something. Regardless, he knew enough to keep his slobber-knocker in his pants.
Will this lawsuit hurt the WWE? Probably not. Most of the wrestlers that caused major problems on the flight no longer work for the WWE. Not to mention, SportsJet is going up against Vincent Kennedy McMahon. And with that in my mind, I give it two years before SportsJet is owned by the WWE and the CEO receives a stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania.
