What will happen to all the Vince figs that are left over after the US TRU mailaway promotion ends, surely Mattel will be left with a large batch of figures to shift.
Will they end up with online retailers such as Mattycollector or RSC, or will some find their way to retail?
I want to size up my chances of getting one in the UK, do I pay an extortionate price now (which I dont really want to do at all) - or hold on in the hope they become available cheaper later?

I think the reason it took so long for them to ship them out in the first place is because they wanted to see exactly how many people were submitting them. Then, based on that, they could get rough estimate on how many they needed to make. Also, I feel like they went a bit over their initial count, hence them pushing back the date another month. The extra month would give buyers a bit more time to get their UPCs in and get a Vince.
They may end up online, but I highly doubt they will have a huge number left over.

Well I believe they said they'll be releasing a McMahon figure someday in a regular mass release line (Elite, Basic, Flashback, or whatever route they decide to go). It'll surely differ from the TRU version, but it's still a Vince figure.
I personally wonder if we'll see leftover Vince figures from the promotion tossed up on actual TRU shelves months from now. There's gonna have to be something left over, so it's bound to find its way to some store, online or retail.

I hope no one on here takes this the wrong way but I really hope they DON'T sell any after the promotion ends. I hate it when companies do a store or online exclusive then just end up selling it when the promotion is done. It makes everyone who actually did participate in the promotion feel everything they went through to get the figure was for nothing. Now I understand that those that participated in the promotion basically got the figure free instead of having to buy one but if you really wanted it you should have followed the rules of the promotion and got the figure that way. Selling it after the promotion ends just takes away the fun of owning a true "exclusive" figure. Just think of how many people on here wanted the Jakks Flair exclusive that came with I think it was new DirecTV customers but were never got their hands on one. The people who were actually fortunate to get one have something that a lot of people will never have, which is a nice feeling. I want those that own the Vince to feel the same way.
Now I do feel sorry for those who weren't allowed to take place in the promotion, like those in other countries, so I would have no problem with Mattel selling them off to all of our international collectors online or as a store exclusive for those countries. But to the US collectors that didn't get one I just want to say sorry, but you had your chance. If you wanted one that bad then you should have just bought the figures at TRU and got one through the promotion.

I'm not sure about you, but many who wanted the figure couldn't get it due to their TRUs having horrible stock. Putting the Vince figure out after the promotion ends would hardly be a slap in the face as the people who did follow through with it got the figure for basically free and likely before everyone else.

It was not free...people put effort in to get certain figures they wanted. I had to drive to a couple different areas to get figures i didn't have or figures i actually wanted. I hope they don't release any to the mass public.

It would most definitely be a slap in the face to the majority of people who participated in the promotion if they just put the Vince out on TRU pegs for $19.99 a few months down the road. If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell you. I've never seen 1 post about someone not being able to find the right figures at their store. Not saying they don't exist, my point is that it would be the minority. That said I highly doubt the "leftover" figures will end up at stores. If they do, I'll be pissed off that's for sure.

Never said there weren't eligible figures at TRU. Said that the stocking of figures that people actually wanted to buy was low. With prices being as high as they are there, not necessarily worth it to buy unwanted figures and sell them at a loss just to obtain their UPC.

Bill said that they aren't releasing another Vince for a while.
Plus if this ends up on Toys R Us' shelves later, a lot of people would probably not do mail-away figures anymore.
