It's been a long time since I've posted some real product-photography pics, but that's par for the course when you're a Legends collector in this toy line. I just got my RSC Exclusive Macho King and of course did my usual knee pads fix-up from those god-awful/inaccurate extra large knee pads Mattel insists on using. Quick thoughts: love the clear globe on the scepter and jewel in the crown! Had to toss my scepter in a cup of hot water to straighten it out since it was twisted in the packaging, and I had to soften the crown in the hot water so it would fit properly on his head.   Guess what!? Rick Martel's purple knee pads are an exact match. I pretty much wasted time getting Survivor Series Miz purple pads, but hey - live and learn. If I'm feeling up to it, I might look for another cheap Orndorff to do the upper thigh switch like I did with my other Machos.   And while I'm late to the game, I did get DM5 Hart a long time ago, just never posted pics. Fix-ups include: trimming his sleeves (at least it was too long on my jacket), switching for an open left-hand for his famous "hey paisano c'mon" pose, medium black knee pads which were blatantly missed in production, and of course Decal Dean's hot pink vinyl shades!   |

How did you address the white tape on all stars two pack and legends Macho man ? I think this makes them look 100% better. Was it a thigh swap or paint removal? I would like to do the same regardless.

But I also switch the the knee joint and upper peg from the white ones (Macho) to the flesh-toned ones (Paul) - I know the knee pads hide that junction, but it looks better if I'm posing them with a bent/bended knee. |
