it was from?  We all know that Andre never held the IC title(If he did he would of been a triple crown) But I just wanted to know if anyone knows the match where he randomly started holding up the title, but you never know this image could show that he actually held the title but I would this that would be true. |

my guess would be that it came at some point during his feud in fall 1989 vs The Ultimate Warrior,who just won the title back from Rick Rude... Andre never did beat the Warrior for the belt (nor did ever hold the IC Title) ,but i imagine he probably grabbed it during one of those matches to taunt the crowd,or thought he had a 3 count when it was really a 2 count and grabbed the belt believing he had "won",or something like that...

That is what I was going to say. He probably did some sort of run in and beat down Ultimate Warrior and held up the title.

Cool image as I've never seen that one before. I think the theory of sometime during the feud witht he Warrior post-SummerSlam'89 sounds about right.
