Since its too early to do a prediction thread i thought this could be fun. Pick those you think that would be the best 11 to play for your nation next summer.
If your nation did not qualify then do it with the nation you think that is going to win next year Here is my own Portuguese best 11:
4-3-3
GK Eduardo (Genoa) RD Bosingwa (Chelsea) CD Ricardo Carvalho (Real Madrid) CD Pepe (Real Madrid) LD Coentrao (Real Madrid) DM Miguel Veloso (Genoa) CM Moutinho (Porto) CM Meireles (Chelsea) AMR Nani (Man Utd) AML Ronaldo (Real Madrid) ST Postiga (Zaragoza)
I dont think Paulo Bento is playing this team but i think its the best. The only flaw may be Postiga but the man seems to be a different one when he plays for the national team.

It's impossible to predict the England Line Up. Was having a discussion with my mate the other day, and we came to the conclusion that by the time every Tournament comes around, there's always one random player that the whole Country suddenly relies upon, and without this player we've got no chance. World Cup 2010 out of no where was Heskey, and even Carragher. It's happened from around 2002 onwards, and will probably continue to next years Tournament, where it wouldn't surprise me if Downing or Zamora were the ones that we 'simply would have no chance without'.
But for the hell of it, here's the 11 that I would play, without Rooney for obvious reasons.
GK: Joe Hart
LB: A Cole CB: J Terry CB: G Cahill RB: Micah Richards (Added height in the area for Set plays than Glen Johnson)
CM: S Parker CM: F Lampard
LW: A Young CAM: J Wilshere RW: A Johnson (Better final ball than Walcott)
ST: B Zamora (Can always come up with something special, although Bent's more clinical in the box)

Right, well Rooney is suspended so I won't include him.
GK: Hart
LB: A. Cole CB: Terry (C) CB. Lescott RB: G. Johnson
CM: Barry CM: Milner CM: Parker
Interchangeable wingers : Walcott and Young.
ST: Bent
That's kind of a combination of what I'd like to see and what I think Capello will actually do.

RW: A Johnson (Better final ball than Walcott) Putting it lightly. Walcott is absolute garbage. I don't understand how people rate him so highly. All he has is pace.

Realistically Eng will look like this:
Hart Johnson, Cahill, Terry, Cole Wilshere, Parker, Lampard/Gerrard Johnson, Rooney, Young
Walcott, Jones and Rodwell will all be involved too. I see Bent being a lone striker for when Rooney doesn't play with Welback back up. Although I feel Sturridge should get more time, since he's better than both.

Yeh we were having a discussion about this tonight, and none of us could agree but the general feeling seemed to be:
Hart
Cole Richards Cahill Walker
Young Parker Gerrard Downing/Lennon/Walcott
Bent Defoe (Rooney)
Tbh even some of those you think meh at. Plus you have possibles in Wilshere, Jones, Barry. We seem weak up front as the only other one seems Zamora to cover the first 2 games. As long as he don't pick Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole its all good.
