We recently reported that talks between Chris Jericho and WWE, concerning a return to the company, broke down due to a stale mate on both sides. WZ originally reported that Jericho was interested in returning to WWE on a part-time basis, that would see him work limited dates, and allow him to work on other projects outside of WWE.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the talks cooled off when both Jericho and WWE couldn't come to terms on a money agreement, as Vince McMahon feels WWE made Jericho a star, and should be given a cut of his side project income.
There are also said to be creative differences between Jericho and WWE, as NBC feels that WWE superstars are part of the network talent roster as they pay WWE well to air both Raw and Smackdown, and eyebrows were said to be raised when Jericho decided to participate in "Downfall" and "Dancing With The Stars," which do not air on NBC

I love Jericho, but unless he's coming back full time and putting all his focus on wrestling then I don't care. I'd rather he stay away if his heart isn't completely in it.

Bunch of dirt sheet bs, Punk, Cena, and others have been on jimmy kimmel and what not on abc, nbc would not be upset over jericho doing that, plus when he does go and do things like that, they always mention he's a wwe superstar, and therefore the product gets a plug. I call bs.

It's barely been a year since he left, he took a two and a half year break almost last time, give it time people.

Well whatever the reason why they cant get on the same page,I don't care WWE and Chris Jericho need to come to terms and get this deal done.I thought that when he did return it would be on a semi-regular bases and not a full time return.I am still hopping its not something like The Rock were he just wrestles and shows up a few times a year but more of and HBK/Taker type work load that those two had in their last few year.
In which I mean that he works the TV tapings,PPV's and a few house shows a month.Something like 6 to 8 dates a month.The only way I wouldn't take Chris Jericho back if I was the WWE is if he was asking for and extreme amount of money,something like what The Rock is probably getting payed right now.

I only want him to come back if he goes back to being Y2J, if he comes back and continues babbling about hypocrites and sycophants, then I can honestly do without him.

I think it'd be cool to see him back, but it's all good if he doesn't want to. I'm sure at some point we'll see Jericho back in WWE. |

Part of me thinks that Jericho is returning in the new year on the 2nd, kinda fits in to the original Y2J gimmick he debuted with. Plus that video seems to have a Chris Jericho feel to it, in addition when questioned on it Jericho's been seemingly getting more pissy with fans and trying to blow it off, which he is known for. And finally there seems to be an extra push of stories involving negativity with WWE and Chris Jericho, which I think is full of BS and made up, plus if it's reported by Wrestlezone, that's almost a guarantee.
