its hard to believe it but ol Sid is a two time WWF champion....and when I look back I can hardly remember the guy.
I remember his run as Sid Justice better than I remember his 95 through 97 stint.....which is of course very odd.I had to read up on his 95 time in WWF although I did hear he legit injured HBK in the attack post WM11 that turned Michaels face.
also didnt realise he was meant to face HBK at SS95.when I tuned back intop WWF in feb 96 I had no idea he was on the roster.......I realise now he was out injured.
thoughts on Sids WWF time?Im gonna go watch some of his stuff from this time.

i first started watching WWF in 1992 (the Rumble was my first event)
i really loved the whole build up to WM8 at the time. i remember all his matches with jobbers, where the majority would leave on a stretcher, only for Sid to further attack them. i really bought into it!
other things that stand out from that time period is breaking Virgils nose and pinning Hercules in record time.
just as a side note i was really pee'd off that Hogan pulled Sid over the top rope at the RR92, even though the Hulkster had been eliminated (cheating in my book) yet Sid came off looking like the bad guy? don't want to sound too much like a mark but never got my head around that one!

Honestly, I feel Sid gets cheated sometimes because people bury him about his lack of charisma and ring work.
HOWEVER, I encourage everyone that has ANY opinion of all about Sid to watch Summerslam 1996 and more importantly Survivor Series 1996.
Sid was OVER. Madison Square Garden basically booed Shawn Michaels out of the building at Survivor Series 1996 in favor of Sid.
His time on top may not have lasted long but there's no denying that in late '96 the guy was popular.

I just watched all of Sids late 96 work vs Bulldog,Vader,HBK and Bret and yes he was over like rover. it was crazy in MSG when he belted Lothario with the camera and the crowd cheered like crazy.

I liked Sid's 1995 run. He did exactly what he was supposed to do, he was a huge monster heel. Problem was he was getting bigger pops than HBK and other faces. He also played crazy very well, i'd be afraid around him.
My favorite moment was him belting Jose Lothario and the fans going batcrapcrazy. The NY smarks werent buying putting an old veteran with Michaels to make him seem wholesome and sympthatic.

I remember watching his Taker match at WM on Vintage Collection I think it was, it was pretty good. I wish he had stayed for the attitude era, he felt at the tip end of the new generation. He was only in the original "Thorn in your eye" vid with Austin, Taker, Bret and a few others.

Vince was ready to hand him the keys to the kingdom, but there was a disagreement over his heel turn. Sid reportedly didn't want the program with Hogan at WM8 because it broke his momentum.

My first live match with Sid in it was great. It was 92 I was 6 years old and my uncle and grandfather both who dislike wrestling took me to this event for my birthday here is the card WWF @ Nashville, TN - Municipal Auditorium - January 20, 1992 Jim Duggan defeated Jerry Saggs Randy Savage defeated Jake Roberts IRS defeated the Big Bossman Chris Walker defeated Hercules The Undertaker defeated Sid Justice via disqualification Tatanka defeated the Warlord WWF IC Champion Roddy Piper defeated the Mountie
To watch not only Sid who was huge come out but my favorite wrestler The Undertaker come out and he just seemed larger then life was insane. I think Sid had a great run in the mid 90's feuding Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. But I liked his feud with Hogan "I hate Hogan" and with Taker "My Fav". I remember a match between Bret Hart and Sid that sticks out. It was a cage match on Raw and while they tore down the cage Bret and McMahon had words and Bret spit on McMahon. Great show.
