Royal Rumble 1998 Great card IMO....and I always enjoy this RR match because of Austin winning it. HBK vs UT was a belter too...… Love that event...Vader vs. Goldie is another forgotten gem. Crowd was hot for that one.

Randy Savage Collection (7/20/1992) - Randy Savage & Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair
Undertaker Collection (9/2/1992) - The Undertaker vs. Ric Flair
RAW 45 (12/27/1993) - Marty Jannetty vs. Johnny Polo
WCW Nitro 12 (11/20/1995) - Hulk Hogan vs. Sting - Main Event
So, all 4 of these matches are good stuff. The first two, I never really knew happened until the Network became a thing. Jannetty vs. Polo is excellent if you enjoy the "work" more than the moves. The Hogan vs. Sting is great because Hogan tries to chain wrestle.. and it's a must see.

Royal Rumble 1999
Rock vs Mankind....still so brutal. great match.
The Rumble match...one of my favourites still to this day. Crowd loses it when Austin returns in the Ambulance.

HBK vs Bulldog @ One Night Only.
great match but man oh man....The Hart Foundation look like complete tools here. The interference was rampant for 6/7 minutes in the match....then what happens after the match and the HF doesn't show......Jesus. No wonder Bret was pissed over the booking.
The Harts look genuinely pissed too IMO....

watching a 99 nitro on the network atm. it’s the episode Scott Steiner announces his retirement and nwo (Jarrett, Hart, Nash) are trashing the building...
it’s no surprise that wcw was already going into the dumps at this point - the segment lengths are bizarre and the direction lacks any type of tempo. when nWo interrupt scott’s speech it goes absolutely nowhere and drags..even having a commercial break in the middle.
complete shame considering Bret was in top condition at this point.

complete shame considering Bret was in top condition at this point. As good as Bret had been in the late 80s and thru the nineties, arguably 1997 vs. Austin, Sid, Vader, HBK, Taker, etc.. he was just hitting his peak. It's a shame everything went down the way it did. 2 years later Bret is stuck in a company riddled with problems from the corporate side to the wrestling side, and he gets a career ending injury. Had he remained with WWF, I believe he'd be spoken about in the same regard as Shawn Michaels is. Whereas Michaels attitude issues and transgression might not get quite as overlooked as they do in the current day.

Just rewatched the first Money in the Bank that took place at Wrestlemania 21. Still my favorite one above all the MITB ladder matches.

In an effort to get hyped for Sunday I watched the first elimination chamber. One of my favorites.

Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker - Badd Blood 1997 Great match, still my favorite hell in the cell match of all-time. Also liked HHH vs Mankind in 2000.

yep, the first hell in a cell is by far the best.
Sabu vs Scorpio, Cactus Jack vs Douglas, and Sandman/Raven from Cyberslam 96. all very hard hitting matches. sabu takes an insane dive to the crowd through a table. Douglas even jumps from the top rope to the audience with a cross body! good stuff.

Steiner vs Goldberg @ Fall Brawl 2000. love it...insane, super heated, stiff brawl that the crowd absolutely loved.
Will be making the trek through Undertakers WM matches.....
Undertaker vs Superfly @ WM VII.
Undertaker vs Jake The Snake @ WM VIII
not too easy on the eye....

How did ECW get away with it, they were only a small company did they really pay out for the music? I remember someone saying they didn't but can't remember how they'd have gotten away with it

How did ECW get away with it, they were only a small company did they really pay out for the music? I remember someone saying they didn't but can't remember how they'd have gotten away with it heyman claims he did it without license because he knew by the time lawsuits came around they’d be out of business... ...in reality, they had a bit of a legal loophole. you can have music without licenses for live events if you aren’t profiting from it’s involvement - and since RF Video distributed ECW’s live event tapes which is where their major profit was, they managed to hide behind that as a way of using that music. pretty awesome really and another reason ECW was a wild promotion.
