RAW- May 27th 2002
I actually wanted to see RVD Vs. Eddie. One of my favorite matches and possibly my favorite ladder match. I know that's an unpopular opinion when we have matches like Shawn Vs. Razor WM 10 to compare it to (which it is a phenomenal match of course)
When it comes down to it I guess the way I explain this match is that it's a good, regular match that just so happens to include a ladder. I've loved it for years.

Having watched the Dark Side of the Ring episode on Owen that made me want to go back and rewatch Bret vs Owen from Wrestlemania 10. Seeing Owen celebrate for no reason whatsoever after that initial lock-up gets a laugh out of me every single time.

I revisited PTW 1990 a little while back so gonna dig into 1991 now. 1-7-91 being the first episode.
This one had Greg Valentine's face turn. Damn near 30 years later and still this was a bad move.

I've loved it for years. It's a great ladder match, just like RVD vs Christian was a year later. This was the main event of Raw, went 20 mins and no adverts if i remember correctly. This is when the IC title felt important and we got this type of main event on Raw and Smackdown regularly. Eddie vs Edge was a great non ladder match (no DQ) which involved a ladder.

PTW 1-14-91. Great build to the Rumble. We're also closing in on the end of the Bobby/Gorilla era of this show

PTW 1-28-91.
I liked how they foreshadowed the Mountie/Boss Man feud here with Gorilla asking what would happen if these two crossed paths.
We also get the first tease of new changes to the show.

Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage - 6/2/92 - Firstly I'm going to compliment the Gorilla & JR broadcast team. Shame they didn't get to work with each other more. As for the match, I don't think these 2 could have a bad match together. Very solid outing. The only flaws were Earl Hebner hamming it up way too much for a referee at this time and the cheap finish. Flair kicks out of the flying elbow drop and Savage gets the win moments later when Perfect is shown swinging the belt to get the DQ.
Being the main event of one of the old marathon TV tapings and the fact it only saw the light of day on the UK Fan Favorites VHS over a year later, why not just let Savage go over?

PTW 2-18-91 - the debut of the new format with the audience. 2-25-91. Heenan was still gold here with the ''pick the brain'' segments being the highlights.Always cracks me up when you see Vince and the audience bust out laughing at Heenan's antics.
And who could forget that Vince fashion....

My favorite episode of that version of Prime Time is when they have Paul Bearer as the in studio guest. Heenan is hilarious when they "embalm" Alfred Hayes.

So happy to dig out these old shows from my collection after many years. Takes me back to the good times.
