Wrestling Challenge 9/20/86
Hart Foundation vs Islanders - Fun while it lasted, with a double DQ finish when everyone brawled on the outside.
Randy Savage vs Tony Garea- Crowd pops pretty big for heel Savage.
Something familiar about this Giant Machine guy.
Killer Bees vs Gibbs & Jack Foley - Our future Hardcore Legend pays his dues as a job guy.

In Your House 6. Bret and Diesel are the perfect opponents. Just another incredible match between the two. Undertaker dragging Diesel down was a great visual, but wish Diesel had stayed down. Razor and Kid wrap up nicely. Babyface Yoko just doesn’t have the same appeal. Vader in WWF sucks. Owen and Shawn have insane chemistry. Piper rambles too much in his promos for my taste. Honestly was a great show.

Honestly was a great show. That HBK vs Owen match is an absolute belter. It really is....puts HBK in a very strong position heading to WM. Bret however? Looks weak as piss after both of his (very good) matches against UT & Diesel due to the finishes. Bret & Nash had such great matches...brilliant stuff.

Yeah, Bret has mentioned this a few times, he did feel that they booked him to look very week during this run. He barely beats Diesel and Davey Boy, then basically gets beat by the Undertaker and was supposed to look like he was going to get beat by Diesel again at the IYH before WM, no wonder he got a little upset about the finish. In a way, this didn't really help Shawn either, Bret wasn't coming into the match at Mania looking very strong, then it took Shawn over an hour to actually beat Bret, I don't think it really helped either of them. It seems like it would have been better to have Bret look really strong so when Shawn beat him he was beating Bret at the top of his game, kind of like the Hogan/Warrior situation at WM6.

When you look at both runs ins to WM? HBK should have won the Iron Man 5-0 LOL

Stone Cold vs Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship, Summerslam 2001. Hadn't really seen a finish like this before at the time, and it epitomised where they both were with their characters during this feud, with Austin knowing that he just couldn't beat Kurt Angle and would do anything to retain the Title. This really made Angle as a babyface.

Wrestlemania 12. I’ll start off by saying I haven’t watched the Iron Man match since I was a teen and remember being bored as hell by it. Upon rewatching, I love the hell out of it. I understand why it might not be for everyone, but the story it tells is so good. Match flew by for me. Undertaker and Diesel give us a great big man match too. Austin vs Savio was good for what it was. Shame they got over shadowed. The Piper/Goldust stuff did nothing for me until they got to the ring. Using OJ footage was some of the lamest sh** I’ve witnessed Vince do. The six man tag match was fine but it didn’t make Vader look like the monster it should. Jake felt out of place too. Ahmed was booked the best in the whole match honestly. The Ultimate Warrior return was straight garbage. I get it, they needed better rating and for some reason I’ll never understand that human stain was a draw. It just did nothing for anyone except Warrior who wouldn’t even be around long because he was who he was.
Overall, two fantastic matches give this a thumbs up from me. So far 1996 is off to a real good start.

Good Friends, Better Enemies. Shawn vs Diesel was ing fantastic. Great way for Diesel to leave the territory. Razor vs Vader was surprisingly good, though again, Vader just doesn’t look like a monster. Two tag matches were fine. Goldust vs Warrior was useless garbage. Decent show.

PTW 11-16-92 - The ''Perfect'' face turn!

PTW 11-16-92 - The ''Perfect'' face turn! Even though I would have preferred a slow turn over the course a few months, with Heenan and Flair and Razor, giving Perfect backhanded compliments, this was well done. Fr the amount of time they had, they did well. I liked the backhanded compliments from Heenan and Flair and Razor, I liked Heenan getting all flustered. Perfect getting upset. It was good.

They teased a split earlier in the year on this show. It was during Rumble time and Gorilla mentions how Perfect will never get a crack at the WWF Title now that he's Flairs Executive Consultant. Bobby was like how he was here all nervous and trying to reassure em and all.Perfect going into deep thought was good stuff.Good stuff and good foreshadowing to what we would see here. And like you said they did a good job in the little time they had to the PPV.

I kind of think, they should have done all of this but in the end have Flair or Heenan say that Perfect couldn't team with Macho. Then have, for one night only, the Mega Powers return with Hogan showing up for one night. Have the match go over pretty much the same way but have Perfect cost Flair and Razor the match. Then over the next few weeks they could slowly turn Perfect, in the end have him say that he did cost them the match on purpose. Then they could have the Perfect/Flair feud through the rumble, then after the loser leaves town match, Perfect and Razor could start feuding, ending it with a match at WM9.

Beware Of Dog 1 and 2. They had their work cut out for them without Bret, Diesel, and Razor but they deliver here. Weakest match is Hunter and Mero but it’s fine. Hilarious to hear Lawler continue to call Sable ugly. Guess she’s a little too old for the Kiddie King. Vader vs Yoko is a strong big man match. HBK vs Bulldog was good but underwhelming. Goldust looks fantastic against Taker. This version of Mankind is alway my favorite Foley persona. The best match on the card belongs to Austin and Savio. Hard hitting match with a satisfying end. You can see Austin is on the rise. Sad Savio didn’t have a bigger run. Real good show.

King Of The Ring 96. One of the biggest moments in wrestling history. Austin had a great tournament. The match vs Mero was a banger. Vader vs Jake did what it needed. The finale made Austin look like a real piece of sh**. The promo is art. Ahmed put over as a next big star. Mankind vs Taker was so good. Mankind is my favorite Undertaker opponent. Warrior vs King was garbage. Tag match was fine. Main event was good. Owen was sooooooo good on commentary. Good event.
