One thing I find annoying about Christmas time is the Salvation Army Bell Ringers. When you work as a cart pusher at a major big box retailer, they tend to get on your nerves. Especially when the one on the one side of the store sings Christmas Carols and the other one plays a tuba. Anyone Else hate them? I Applaud Target for not letting them on their property.

I don't hate them, but I can see why you do. I've never heard any of them sing carols or play a tuba.

Another reason why people suck Christmas is poop. (Because of this thread, not the bell ringers) Wow, really? They're volunteering their time to stand out in the cold to collect money for the poor and you hate them just because you think they're annoying. Proof positive of the kind of ed up world we live in. And no, I don't hate them I admire them for the things they do for the less fortunate.

Used to be one. It's a good thing to do. Some get a little money for it and some just volunteer, either way its something charitable. Does a bell get annoying if you're hearing it too long? Sure. But, they're doing it for a good cause. So basically deal with it.

We hardly have any of those down here but I wouldn't mind either way. It's not a big deal.

I actually was a bell ringer for the first time last year. I had a good time doing it. I dressed appropriately since it was freezing out at night. I ended up running into quite a few people from work or people I haven't seen for awhile so that was cool. I eventually signed on to do more shifts and starting next week I'll be ringing again.
So no I don't hate bell ringers. I also don't sing songs or play any instruments while I'm doing it.

I do find them kind of annoying. But I completely understand that it's for a good cause, so it's not that bad.

Depends. I admire them and donate however last year there was a group that were annoying. There was like 6 of them at one spot all ringing extremely loud bells. I'd have donated but I had my ears covered cause it hurt them.

But, sorry, you were talking about proof positive of a f*cked up world?

Well, they do also have Salvation Army christian churches so it kind of makes sense if you think of about it. Not saying I approve or anything, but it makes sense why they don't.

To be fair, not every Christian (or otherwise) church or organization is anti-gay.

They get paid. They arent there for free. Still I feel bad for them. It is a bad job and they have to stand outside in freezing cold, snow, ice, cold rain, so I cant say I hate them. I hate the A hole that stands at intersections and runs to your car as soon as there is a red light to spray dirty water on the windshield thinking youll pay them.

I thought it was weird when the other bell ringer was talking to me about putting in his 40 hours for the week and getting overtime. I guess some people get paid. I thought it was all volunteer work
