I'll admit.. I actually fell asleep on Raw and Kane's music woke me up. I am so glad I didn't miss him coming back. That was so awesome, I almost can't believe it.

Loving it. Who cares if it doesnt make sense. Taker went from Undead, to Biker, and back to Undead. Kane is looks cool and is a monster again.

I guess it looked cool, but I just don't think there's any need for Kane to go back to the mask. He's been wrestling for years without it. I mean, he tears his ACL and then comes back with his mask? It just doesn't make sense, they should've had him be out for so long with an "injury" to that scarred his face or something at least.
The new theme music was very cool, though, and I loved the shock of having him return the same night they aired a new promo for him. When I first saw him my first reaction was: "Look, it's Kane wearing hair extensions and a gas mask" lol.

At first I thought the metal mask looked badass.... I literally said aloud to myself " ing Sick!!". But yeah when the lights came on, it didn't look so good. I thought the metal mask was going to be more red and skin-tight. But yeah now we see the real, more old school mask. It looks good. Wicked. I do think something like how the metal mask looked under the dark red-lighting could have worked, but meh. I just saw this craplike 5 minutes ago and suddenly I have an urge to buy a masked Kane figure.... totally brought back memories of what a freak monster machine he used to be. Gave me the complete emotional vibe. |

I did notice something in the new promo that might have given the return away. Right before Kane punched the mirror it seemed like it only showed John Cena and as soon as Cena appeared Kane punched the mirror out.

I know I said before that it would suck if he had the half mask, but that's because if he had used the old one, it would be associated with a time when his character was becoming more human.
Instead they went with a completely new look, and I think it works a hell of a lot better than either of his old looks would have. It doesn't feel like a step back at all. It's a step forward.
He looked friggin scary.

When he first came out with the metal mask, I thought it was cool but rolled my eyes, as to me it wasn't Kane-ish and isn't wat I wanted in a mask return for him. After he took that mask off i kind of marked, I was afraid he would just be unmasked and be normal kane, but the second mask was AWESOME. It is SO wat KANE is. Not big on the red shoelace stitched together gear. Maybe they decided to have him return early or something. I thought something was up as well when no RESURRECTED promo aired but I still had no clue. One of the best surprises of the year and things like this is what makes wrestling exciting, this is what i miss about the product. They just took a guy who basically became irrelevant without the mask, and reinvented him and he will and should be one of the hottest things in WWE now. Not a fan of him being heel, but being heel is what it takes for him to be badass in todays wrestling so I'm all for it.

This man was a true terror machine when he debuted.
From before and after Katie Vick, WWE accomplished a ton of things to make Kane look stupid, that should have killed off his character years ago. I thought his WHC reign last year was overstayed, but completely understandable and deserving.
That promo last summer was about wanting to find his inner monster. Far more rewarding, than say.... just bringing back the mask for no reason.
I say, let him loose, this may be his final chance at redemption for all we know.

Is this metal mask with the regular mask underneath going to be used all the time?
I get the feeling it's only a one-time thing.
So get used to it.... the metal mask might not be used again.
