The mask is back on, which according to the impression I got from people around here, instantly makes him a better wrestler. I've been outspoken on this before, but the mask is truly unnesscesary. His character has no mystery anymore, we all know what he looks like. 2010 proved he could still be successful and relevant in what he did. His rivalries with Edge and Undertaker were great. [/b] The bold parts I really agree with. I'm divided here, in that, I do love the look, and think it makes Kane come across as more of a monster... But it doesn't automatically make him amazing again. Kane without the mask was interesting at times. It all comes down to how he's booked. Nobody wants to see a 300+ pound monster losing to everyone, nobody wants to see a him switch between evil maniac and likes-to-do-the-trombone-with-Santino. |

It's not difficult, It's Kane "Resurrected" ..last thing he said while unmasked, he's becoming less of a monster, gives them something to work with = better booking.
As for going back to an old look, I don't think that would be a good idea.. I like the plain, creepy mask to give element of a monster/maniac as opposed to hiding the face due to burns. Also read some complaints of not being a full mask, i'm sure thats for his comfort as it looked pretty hard to breathe through that small gap for his mouth.
And for the attire, it should probably be a plain leathery type of attire instead, its just the flame really, its too bright.
But I'm psyched no matter how they do it.

I honestly have no real problem with it. Kane has always been a great "character"
The mask just adds that bit of fear and monster-like gimmick to him.
The guy is in the twilight of his career, so let it ride out for awhile. I doubt he'll be wearing the mask forever. Kane was floating in midcard boring purgatory about 3 years ago, then they started pushing him...gave him the World Title he deserved....and instantly made him bigger and better than just about ever before.
I'm glad he's back and I'm loving the gimmick look. The attire is a little weird, but it's a hybrid so whatever.
Also the theme is amazing. It's a "beefed" up version of his old theme. FINALLY. I've been waiting for him to go back to using that theme forever.

I dig it. I didn't see the episode, but by the pics and clips I'm all for it. Obviously, the mask doesn't make him a better wrestler, but I saw Kane's debut in 97 and thought it was amazing (of course I was 9 years old so ....).
Either way, before this he basically had the same plain look for awhile and it got boring. This is at the very least a cool idea to atleast switch up his image and beef up his character to get some more mileage out of him. I like it.

Eh I know the photoshops are just rough, but the strips across the mask have to be thicker.. Otherwise it makes the mask look worse, IMO.

Maybe, but most of his early masks had the thinner stripes. Especially in 1997.

When the stripes jusy squiggled straight down his Mask. I hated that mask. The space in between is just too much... I'm biased anyway. Because my favorite mask was one that was destroyed. SummerSlam 2000. That was the one with the thickest. |

When I first saw the first Mask I didn't really know what to think. It looked like something from Slipknot. But I think the whole point in it was that when he took it off and revealed that he had his Mask back on it initiated that he was back to the Mask. He could of just had his face underneath, but instead revealed that he'd gone back to the Mask for good.
I hope he becomes World Champion and faces Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Man I love it! I'm stoked. That's Kane to me! So have we decided whether his hair is real or not? I'm solidly sure it's a wig. If you look at the top of his mask it seems to be stitched to the mask. And there's a small chin strap. (Not the masks.. But a string or elastic band) Others have suggested extensions but that seems a little unlikely. |

Love it, Kane actually looks scary, imagine what all the little kiddies think of him. Love the hair and he loooks like the Undertaker with the beard and such, totally could pass as brothers now.
Like they changed his theme up as his last one was too upbeat? for Kane.
Attire looked a bit odd but the lighting didn't help, hope he got in a bit better shape cos he can go in the ring when he wants to.

"Spring Cleaning" - aka the firing of many superstars, should just be segments where Kane drags them to unknown places and we never hear from them again. Just their final screams. LMFAO! Can the first person to get taken away by Kane and never to be heard of again be Hornswoggle? ;D |
