So, you're saying it hasn't destroyed anyone's life? Those facts? Lol. I'm saying it's only mentally unstable people. It's only rarely it happens. The only instance I can think of is when that American woman judge person was talking to someone who's husband was completely ignoring their child. Like I said before, it's all down to the individual. Don't hate the game, hate the people playing it, because it's all down to them. I'm not trying to take a side, but this doesn't make sense. What you're saying is, only mentally unstable people can become addicted to something? It doesn't even take an addictive personality to become addicted to any one thing. WoW offers rewarded game play at its finest, and that alone is very addicting. Should you play WoW? Give it a shot, it's a lot of fun. Just remember it is extremely time consuming if you want to experience the best that the game has to offer.

Yeah, I understand how it comes across as me saying that, but what I'm saying is that everyone can choose to become too addicted that it consumes their life, or just have it as a minor addiction that doesn't wreck anything.

i've played the game for two years and i'm not addicted to it. i unsubscribed three months ago. i think it's a case of a player that's normally easily addicted anything that lets this game take over their life.
as for playing, if i were you i'd play the demo first because right now there are 4 expansions now which can be expensive. as for the gameplay and everything else, they've made everything a lot easier and faster now, so playing won't be too difficult to pick up.

I think I'm gonna try the Star Wars game.
Actually, earlier I tried preordering it. You're supposed to be able to play it earlier if you preorder and install it.
But... I can only pay with Paypal and that option is not available for the preorder. Apparently Paypal has a problem with the $5 preorder fee they're charging, so they will not allow anybody to purchase the preorder.
I've also opened an account with Origin and EA but I cannot figure out where to add money to my account. I was thinking they'd have an option to add money with Paypal, and then I could pay with the money I have in my Origin balance. But I searched all over... I cannot find where to add money.
I guess I'll have to wait for my mom to let me use her credit card. I want to play the game ASAP.
The Star Wars game sounds really cool, but EA, Paypal, and Origin seem really intellectually- disabled.

I can see how you might think that, but that's not how addictions work. Typically people that are addicted to something think that they have everything under control. One minute you're doing something in moderation, and then the next minute you're spending most of your time with it. Unfortunately you can't control how addicted you are to something. I'm saying this from personal experience, I was addicted to WoW. It might seem funny, but it's true. I started playing WoW around the time it launched. I played here and there, nothing serious. Then eventually it came to the point where I would come home from college, get on WoW for 10+ hours, go to sleep, go to school, rinse and repeat. I did this daily for almost two years and thought nothing of it.

I tried to download the demo, but it disconnected repeatedly half way. Couldn't get it to work and deleted it.
