Does your family support your figure collecting?

My gf hates them cuz it we live together and she sees them as an eye sore in my computer room... my grandma thinks it's cool, my grandpa asks how much i can sell them for and my mom calls me crazy.... lol

One side of my family doesn't care if i collect them but the other side thinks its childish and a big waste of money and people will make fun of me for it.

my wife gets to keep her "sexual devices"
and i get to keep my figs. we dont give a damn about each others hobbies.

My parents are very supportive of my collecting. They always check every store they are in. However my sister thinks i should get a new hobby.

Quick story: When Elite 10 first came out my parents bought me Big Show from Wal-Mart. When i got home from work i went in my room and i saw the figure on my pillow. My parents reply was "Well we did not see him in your room. So we thought you diden't have him."

At first my wife didn't even notice I was collecting but when you buy over 60 in under 10 months it's hard to stay a secret.Now she looks for me and even went to Kmart at 7 in the morning to get me masked Kane and papa before one of my friends got them. As for my friends 3 of them also collect and I say between the 4 of us we have around 400 figs so they all understand and the ones who don't think it's cool because they all like wrestling.

I collect Action Figures, Video Games, and dvds' and I personally dont see anything wrong with it. Lots of people collect things of different nature. Some people collect cars, baseball cards, autographs and all sorts of things and Im very careful and stick to a tight budget when it comes to these things and try to find them for the best price possible. I buy all my figures, video games and dvd's online and I figure I get like 3 times or more the stuff for my money so Im careful.

My parents are cool with it. But im still in middle school so maybe only for now, but my dad collects lots of anime stuff so he understands.

Of course! My parents like that they bring me joy. And they like wrestling too, which helps. My dad just told me today, that he goes to Walmart and Target all the time during work, and every time he goes, he looks for elite 11 Punk for me .

The money isn't an issue, because I'm cheep/frugal.

i only have 23 Legends on display in my home office which i work 3 out of the 6 days a week that i have to work... i'm single ( 4 now!) but i have taken a few different dates back home and if they are lucky enough to see my bedroom,.. then the mini office set up with WWF action figures set up around bills & calculators & highlighters & calendars makes them laugh!!.. they are just gettin to know me and they obviously know by now how much i loved wrestling growing up.. SO stonecold or hulk hogan or macho man are the HEROES of my CHILDHOOD...its understandable... but hundreds of wwf figures would be a totally different story..

most girls i know would look at the collection, and Ponder how many pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes they could have instead
