We've seen so many big things happen this year in WWE, The Rock returning, 2/21/11, Edge Retiring, End of Celeb Guests Hosts, The Ryder Revolution, Mark Henry and Christian finally getting the WHC, Alberto Del Rio's Destiny. The rise of the new blood Rhodes, Ziggler, Barrett, Bryan all stepping up. Kevin Nash. John Lauraniatis, Vince being relieved of his duties, HHH becoming the boss. The Summer Of Punk.
Seeing as Masked Kane returning is probably going to be the last big thing to happen this year I thought it would be a good time to ask,.....
What your personal highlight of the year is?
I'll start.
The Rock returning. Simple as. I grew up in the Attitude Era where The Rock made his name, so i was obviously going to be a fan of his, I was pretty much set on The Rock never coming back to the WWE ever again like so many of you guys on here, I thought he'd never come back, but February 14th, he FINALLY came back and ripped John Cena to shreds setting up the biggest match of this generation.

My personal highlight this year (other than meeting Cody Rhodes at Axxess) is, in general, Rhodes' push. He's legit, being accepted and proving he belongs in his spot.

It's an extremely tough choice between The Rock's return and CM Punk's WWE title win at MITB. If you really made me pick, I'd have to say Rock returning.
Punk's win was huge, but the culmination of a 7 year absence from the WWE, and a huge return that shook the WWE for 2011 in the Rock's return was amazing. Just sitting there, waiting for that moment... and then hearing IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLL, WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN'!! That was such a mark out moment because I never believed we'd ever see Rock in the WWE again. Unreal.

As much as I liked The Rock's return (at first), nothing tops CM Punk's win at MITB and those few weeks where he changed the landscape of WWE and the general public's perception of/level of interest in what was happening in the world of pro wrestling.
I was genuinely excited for what was coming next with Punk's character and WWE programming which hasn't happened very often for me since I was a kid.

CM Punk defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank. It was such an awesome moment to see. I've also enjoyed the rise of Zack Ryder this year

Kane returning masked is my highlight of the year, hands down. CM punk coming in second with this MITB win and that kick ass shoot he had on Raw. But Kane has always been my favorite and I never thought for a second that it was possible for him to come back with a mask. When he did I marked out like I've never marked out before.

For me it's Punk winning at MITB, followed by Christian winning the WHC, then the Rock returning, and finally Masked Kane returning.
