What do you think would've happened to The Undertaker Wrestlemania wise?
Because the streak is the only thing he keeps coming back for and if Orton broke it at 21, do you think Undertaker would be retired by now, Would HBK be retired now because there would be no streak to put his career against

I'm not certain about Undertaker, but I think HBK would still be retired. He would have probably just faced Triple H instead.

Seriously Orton would have BLOWN UP had he ended the streak that night. The match was great and honestly it's the only mania in my opinion other then 26 where I thought he might lose. As others have said Shawn would have most likely still retired.

I actually thought Edge was going to end it more than Orton.
but yeah it would have been a big deal for sure.

If anybody were to beat Taker at Wrestlemania it should have been Orton at 21.

That was the one WrestleMania where I thought The Undertaker might actually get beat. The match was pretty good. Undertaker will go 20-0 and retire.

I think Taker would be retired by now. the only reason that he keeps coming back is because ofthe streak.

No way man, Orton needed it.....his face run was a disaster so he needed something to solidify him as a top heel. Ending the streak would have done that. Edge didnt need it, he was already a top heel and a huge name for about a year at that point so he wouldnt have gained anything from it. When Orton countered that chokeslam into the RKO I legitimately thought that was it. And at no point in any Mania match since then have I felt like that again.

Yeah I thought for sure they were going to end it with Orton because of his great Legend Killer gimmick at the time.

I realise Edge didnt need it but I thought it was played out as a "closer ran" thing

I agree that both Edge and Orton were the closest, but my heart literally sunk when Edge hit the spear on Taker.

I was more worried about Mark Henry ending the streak and it was a real possibility. Vince actually entertained the idea of letting Henry go over.

speaking of ending the streak, Undertaker actually wanted to lose cleanly against Kurt Angle at WM20 or WM21 ( i dont remember which one) but Vince didnt want it to happen.

Lol the only entertainging part about that match was the finish, I still cant believe that Taker was able to Tombstone a guy as big as Henry, and that wasnt even the first time he did it

I also didnt know what way the first HBK match was gonna go.....those 3 matches were the closest ran things I had ever seen.
Vs Edge vs HBK(part I) vs Orton
