Think about it...who keeps lobbying for a match with Cody at WM 28...his brother Goldust.
Who was Booker T's longtime tag partner....Goldust
It would make a lot of sense for Goldust to come back and come to Booker's "rescue" vs. Cody, which would then set up the match.
Right?

I would be pleasantly surprised if they did this. Would be a great way for Goldust to go, and I know its a feud a few people want to see.

This would make a fun Road To Wrestlemania scenario leading to either:
Goldust w/ Booker T vs Cody Rhodes
Goldust & Booker T vs Cody Rhodes & An Undecided Partner
Regarding the undecided partner, I can't think of an appropriate fitting there but I was looking towards someone with history with all/one of the 3 somehow, not sure. Just a way to get Booker and Goldust both on the card.

Goldust is so obscure and strange, and cody being so straight laced, nothing weird about him I think would list him as the most dishonourable person to hold the Intercontinental championship, I doubt they'd bring in the fact they're brothers but yeah. I think it'd be a good fued.

Nice idea. I think Booker vs. Rhodes is a part of a bigger story that will end with a match at WM28. Goldust's career vs. Rhodes' IC Title would be a good way to get rid of Goldust.

Goldust vs Cody at Mania - Career vs Title match (Goldust more then deserves 1 last mania match)
Ref gets knocked down, Cody grabs the title and goes to hit Goldust with it, Dusty comes down, begs him not to do it, Cody reluctantly hands the title to his dad, Dusty turns and nails Goldust with it, Cody gets the pin

This could make sense..but I hpe it doesn't happen. Cody deserves a better opponent for a WM match. Last time I checked Goldust was still able to go better than some of the other guys. With a good story behind it I think it would make a great Mania match. |
