I've had a couple of problems with my Kindle and Amazon immediately outright replaced the device free of charge both times. I was surprised, because I could have been making up the problem. In fact, any encounter I've ever had with Amazon has been amazing. They've never let me down.

RSC and Highspots are really good with customer service. A few times, both have sold out of something and offered a more-expensive product to replace it. A guy I dealt with on Amazon was nice too; he sold me the three-disc edition of (Bana) Hulk...but the main disc was missing. He then refunded me the price of half of it, which I then used to buy the one-disc version to replace it.

Highspots has only messed up my order once. They sent me 2 of the same thing, I e-mailed them, & they were more than happy to exchange it. I only live 30 minutes from their office, so I actually just stopped by to switch it out. Since they don't have a showroom, I'm not sure how many people can honestly say that they've seen their inner workings.

I too have had a good experience with Highspots before. I ordered a La Parka mask from their site and not even ten minutes later they called informing me that the version I ordered was out of stock and they kindly offered some alternatives. Great customer service, I must say.

Amazon is easily the go-to for stories of customer service excellence. I bought my mom a DS Lite for Mother's Day and it got lost in the mail. They sent a second one for free. No questions asked.
Not completely related, but Microsoft's customer support staff on Twitter has been pretty amazing. They give the impression that they actually give a crap, which for customer service is really half the battle.
