Survivor Series 89
Few questions
Do anyone know why Bobby Heenan was put in the match? what happen to Tully Blanchard? also the same Bret Hart why another match not in The Ultimate Warriors vs The Heenan Family match and why was Andre the Giant elimination so fast in this match?

1)Heenan was put in the match to replace Blanchard and keep the numbers up.
2)Blanchard was fired for failing a drug test...also Anderson departed straight after S.Series 89
3)the virtually immobile Andre was in tremendous pain around this time and spared standing on the apron for an extended period.its worth noting that despite holding the tag titles in 1990 he did zero during this time and retired after WM6.Andre was pretty much finished in 89.
Im confused regarding Bret Hart.he was part of Duggans 4X4s team and was eliminated cleanly by Randy Savage......

Bret Hart should be put in the The Ultimate Warriors and The Rockers should been in Duggans 4X4s and one of others should been taken out of that team in my opinion it stupid having bret hart when was still part a tag team with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
What happen Akeem in Big Boss Mans team as he was replaced by Bad New Brown why?
I still in enjoy this Survivor Series to this day but it had few screw ups in my opinion

I think the Hart Foundation were actually inactive as a team at this time and were being tried in singles runs, which is why Bret and Neidhart are on different teams. They were then put back together in 1990 and had a strong run, winning the titles before eventually splitting for good after WM7.

i'm not sure about Akeem. I've tried to find out for ages but to no avail! i can only assume he was injured.

Yeah, like koreygunz said, the Hart Foundation weren't teaming that much then. They split up as a team after WM 4 and tried out as singles, then were put back together, and then in 89 after Mania they were split again, and Bret was supposed to be given an IC Title push. There is even an episode of Prime Time Wrestling where he is challenging Rick Rude for the IC Title during a promo. But then they put them back together the odd time (like at SummerSlam 89 against the Brain Busters) but Bret and Jim were doing singles all through Spring - Fall of 89.
They got put back together at around early 1990 I wanna say. I am not even sure if they were tagging during the Royal Rumble that year. But I know they got back together before Mania 6.

Akeem was also schedule for Survivor Series 1990 (strange as it was the Boris Zhukov slot who had a backstory with Nikolai Volkoff). Rude was replaced by Haku. They had pictures in one of the WWF magazines but I think that Survivor Series doesn't get as much coverage of replacements as the others.
Akeem was injured, I think that's the rumor, for SS 89. It was weird he wasn't mentioned even as being replaced since he was a Twin Tower but maybe the gimmick was so bad no one cared anymore. The 89 roster was so think I can only think of Koko B. Ware and Boris (Nikolai was gone for a while in 89) as possible replacements if a face or heel couldn't make it. Bad News was strange as it was the same old thing from 88 but again, very few replacements.
Hart was feuding with Mr. Perfect and Anvil with the Barbarian IIRC from old magazines or the Hart DVD.
Earthquake for a replacement of Barry Windham was perfect as it lead to Jimmy Hart managing Earthquake and that probably helped him a lot as a mouthpiece. Plus Dino was usually cool as a hang around guy.
Heenan was a perfect replacement!!!! No where else could you get a manager to replace a wrestler and it be as awesome as Heenan. It would be a total let down. They didn't even mention Blanchard (though his image was on the PPV list) but used a Heenan Family issue as a reason for the replacement. Heenan didn't even come out with Rude and Jesse alluded to backstage problems. It's awesome to hear Fink announce "and Bobbbbbbby the Brain Heenannnnnn" while Gorilla wonders aloud "what is Heenan doing in his wrestling gear?!"
The first few Survivor Series are so cool with almost all stars being on the show but they were spread so thin with that they had to have some strange replacements. By 1991 the roster just couldn't sustain a complete 4 on 4 team PPV.
