What do you think tge chances are of Mattel releasing an L.O.D repaint? They always seem to avoid giving an answer in the Q & A. I've seen that Animal and Hawk are getting harder to find new or loose these days and I don't want to miss out by waiting for repaint if it never comes.

I don't think they will ever release them again in another colorway.

I don't see a repaint anytime soon. The early Legends, LOD included, did NOT sell well.

I don't know how it was elsewhere, but from what I saw, LOD (and sometimes Austin) were just about the only ones that did fly off the shelves. I wouldn't mind seeing them released as Flashback figures, but then again, that would take up a couple of spots from all-new figures.

Think I best get hunting then. Can get an Animal here in the UK but I'll have to eBay from the states for Hawk

For some reason my Kmart had a new case of L1 the day before Thanksgiving. I bought a third pair of Warriors and left the others. I regretted not getting the last two, went back the next day and they were the only figs missing.

I'd love it if they did, but because Mattel chose odd outfits rather than their most recognizable ones the figures didn't do well. I bought them of course cause I love collecting, but they screwed up...

I think they will there is a lot of demand for the Legion Of Doom in Red and Black and Mattel's been asked it numberous times, i'm pretty sure there gonna do it. I mean a smart toy company would do it anyways.

I think it's really hard to say, or even give a good answer.
They could be at retail as Flashback figures, but there are so many other figures I'd like as Flashbacks I'd hate for the LOD to take up two slots. Made worse if we only get 10-12 Flashbacks a year.
They could be released as a Battlepack, but I then they'd look off on a shelf full of Elites.
They could be done like the Rockers as a Mattycollector.com exclusive, but I get the feeling the Rockers might have soured Mattel on that idea.
They could even be a mail away like the Vince.
Eitherway. I think the safest thing to say would be if Legends 2packs series 1 had been red LOD, Rockers, and Demolition than we might have got a second wave.
Also I'm just outside of Charlotte NC and all the legends moved well at first. It wasn't until the second or third recievings of Legends 2/3 that things started to stall, and by series 4 it looked like the line wasn't moving at all.

Bit the bullet just now and won them both off eBay. So probably get the news from Mattel that the repaint is on the way

I could maybe see a red L.O.D. set being a Ringside Exclusive at some point. It'd be a great way to debut the classic tag titles also.

I'd say if you see them at a decent price now, pick them up. I really doubt they'll be made again, especially since they said they are discontinuing the Heritage line. If the Heritage line were still being produced after b16, then I could've seen them doing Hawk & Animal form that WM where they re-debuted with Sunny. But there's no chance now because the Heritage line is done.

Whereas they categorically said no to repaints of the likes of Sgt. Slaughter in the last Q&A they always swerve round answering about LOD
