Every time somebody asks Mattel about Diva figures or why newer characters are shortpacked they always give us the same song and dance of "weeeell we tried it with Mickie James and she didn't sell". So that's it? Mattel has made up their mind that due to the fact that Mickie James didn't sell that we now get jerked around with ALL Diva figures and newer characters being shortpacked or even worse, the ridiculous way Vickie Guerrero is 1 per every OTHER case. First of all, Mickie James got fired from the company right as her figure was being put out, and the company had been doing their best to squash her in her last few weeks/months on WWE TV. Maybe that had something to do with it? I realize kids are the target audience and they need to keep the shelves packed with Cena's, Orton's, Undertaker's and Rey's that will never sell......BUT Vickie is a huge part of WWE too. So are the Divas....and you know, Mattel, not all WWE fans are BOYS. Maybe the girls out there in the "WWE Universe" would like some more Divas to play with as well? I just think it's stupid that Vickie is every OTHER case....why do that? All you're doing is making it easy for internet scalpers to charge $50 for a Vickie.....how does Vickie being one per every other case benefit Mattel? It doesn't.....it just makes it a big huge God damn pain in the ass for people trying to find the figure. *edit*And why can't Mattel meet us collector's halfway.....sell Vickie, and Ryder and all the other characters that they THINK won't sell on Mattelshop? Mattycollector is one big cluster , but if Mattelshop put up a Vickie Guerrero right now at the retail price of $10.99 +tax/shipping I bet they would sell a ton of them.

if it was a smaller babyface diva, i could understand since kelly & aj are def not selling arenas... but VICKIE.. VICKIE the escuse me yelling, weight loss wonder herself, Vickie Guerrerro gets more heat than swagger and almost every heel on the roster...shes been a major part of main event storylines for YEARSS now... i truly think it would have been good 2 go to slide Vickster in every Box...

At least one in every box. Hate being at the mercy of scalpers.

Divas just simply dont sell well. Ive had the chance to pick up ever diva in the store at least 3 times. I actually broke down and bought a Natalya today just out of boredom.

Mattel prolly has hidden pools at their offices of how high a their products/figures like vicki will go for on ebay or ringside...I will go without one if I cant find it at retail cost or just a couple bucks over retail cost

Mattel prolly has hidden pools at their offices of how high a their products/figures like vicki will go for on ebay or ringside...I will go without one if I cant find it at retail cost or just a couple bucks over retail cost I agree....so why don't they make that money for THEMSELVES instead of scalpers on eBay? If Mattel is afraid that Divas or characters like Michael Cole won't sell and it will hurt their reputations with stores....then shortpack them to the stores if they want, but they should be made available online on a Mattel run site like Mattelshop. Like I said, if Mattelshop started selling figures of Vickie and Michael Cole for $10.99 +tax/shipping they would sell a ton, and that would be money in the pocket of MATTEL and not some eBay low life scalper.

I think the same way, but do you think mattel really cares, as long as they make their money

I agree it's a pain in the ass. I have spent close to $100 in gas money in the last couple days looking for that figure. I already lost. lol. I give up on those KMart cubes.
But think about this... Elite 11 Christian.. who has a large fanbase, was also 0.5/case. and his figure is shelfwarming like crazy around here. He is a former 2-time World Heavyweight Champion.
I bet she will be easier to find once she shows up at Target, Toys R Us, etc.
(Don't give in to scalper prices, you will regret it)

The vast majority of the market for wrestling toys is boys. It would be idiocy on Mattel's part to pretend otherwise. This is a good idea. I can't buy from Mattelshop, but it's a great idea regardless (and it's not too difficult to track down any figure in the UK except Eve, which was never released here).

I'm sure once the line hits retail in fuill force she'll be easy to find just like the Elite Regal who was one per every other case and is everywhere that sells WWE figures now.

The more I rant and rave about how Mattel handles the divas the more I realize that its not Mattek's fault, its WWEs fault. They don't give their women a chance to develop any kind of character that is interesting or three dimensional. The divas show their personality through costumes and ring entrances and not through storylines like they should. Its no wonder a young boy would not want to play with any of the divas of today, they are barbie dolls. When I was a kid I wanted Sable, Jacqueline, Chyna, Ivory, Lita, etc. because I liked the characters. Now as an adult I want Maryse, Kelly, Alicia Fox, etc. because I think they are hot, like what they wear and are doing their best to not suck as bad as they did last week. Something is wrong with that.
Mickie didn't screw Mattel, WWE screwed Mattel. And Mickie.

Mattel shd just release the divas figures in equal amount or close to the amount of the male superstars figures made available to the public...

Mattel shd just release the divas figures in equal amount or close to the amount of the male superstars figures made available to the public... And that would kill the line. If people are on these boards saying that their stores are filled with the kid friendly Rey/Cena/Orton wrestlers, because they aren't selling...if the diva's were released in the same amount as those wrestlers there'd be twice as many Divas warming the pegs and the line would be dropped by mass retailers. They did that with Mickie. And at the TRU's around here her figures sat on the pegs (at least 3 pegs worth at each TRU) for over a year before they were finally removed from the pegs.

all of you had better get used to this.if Mattel arent satisfied with something STRAIGHT AWAY its blackened with them forever.
as a fan of their numerous DC lines they will repeatedly spew the same shiite ad nauseum.
also the Rockers not being a "sale day sell out" will yield some interesting responses too.......brace yourselves.

Mickie James was NOT easily found in this area. I found her once. Then, never saw her again. I guess some areas get more figures in general. I do understand Mattel's stance here, but I do like the idea of them selling the "less popular" figures on Mattel Shop. That would be great!

I actually do believe that it was the Mickie James figure's fault because I feel if she didn't get released she would have not sat on shelves
