I have never played Saints Row but I love GTA and from what I hear Saints Row is just like or better. So my question is do you guys think they will ever put the first one on PS3 and make the series into a bundle? Kinda like GTA did with the stories version of games. Or am I going to have to borrow an Xbox to play the first one and then buy the other two on PS3?

Honestly, the only Saints Row game you need to play is 3. The game's stories are standalone enough in that you don't really lose much of anything by having not played the previous games in the series. Saints Row 2 is a pretty good sandbox game, but Saints Row 3 is a legitimately great game.

The first one is mediocre at best. The second is great, especially co op.
The third is the pinnacle of the series. I'd play 2 though, it's worth it.

I think most people give the original Saints Row a tough time because they played it after Saints Row 2. I've always liked the first one because it isn't as easy as the others and felt more rewarding to beat. I also have fond memories of the online. It's just a shame you can't find a game on it anymore.
But anyway I don't agree with the third one being the best. IMO it's the second one that's still the best of the three. Saints Row games seemed to have gotten wackier as they've gone along and by the third one they went overboard and made it as cartoony as possible. The second game is the perfect balance.
Another thing I didn't particularly like was how they took the story they had been building from the past two games and just threw it out the window.

I mean all the craziness is going to eventually get boring after awhile. A good realistic storyline is way better than a crapty story. SPOILER: The fact that Johnny died so early on is so intellectually- disabled.

I loved the insurance fraud mode in Saint's Row. "Oh all I have to do is get hit by a car?"

SPOILER: The fact that Johnny died so early on is so intellectually- disabled. I don't agree with that at all. If you want a more simulated experience, Grand Theft Auto is right there. I LOVE that they've taken Saint's Row and made it so over the top. I think it was the only way to go with the series to make the 3rd game feel fresh without another "rise from the ashes with your gang" story. It's also done a great job at separating itself from GTA. If people are still comparing the games after this, they have problems.
