Jim Ross was asked on Twitter about the possibility of a match pitting Brock Lesnar against Bill Goldberg at next year’s WrestleMania.
“@goldberg vs Lesnar at WM29 would be miraculous ie HIGHLY UNLIKELY,” he tweeted.
Goldberg, despite his displeasure for WWE and company head Vince McMahon over the years, says he’s interested in the bout. He wrote Friday, “……I’d do it.”
Goldberg last competed for WWE at WrestleMania XX in a match against Lesnar with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin serving as special guest referee. The match garnered a hostile reaction from the audience due to knowledge that both competitors were leaving the promotion. After Goldberg defeated Lesnar, both wrestlers were met with a Stone Cold Stunner.
Meanwhile, Goldberg still apparently views Chris Jericho in a negative light nine years after the two last worked together. A fan wrote to the former wrestling champion Monday, “Y2J sucks u should have came out there & speared him.” He responded, “Would have been my pleasure.”

Saw this on Twitter earlier, figured someone would post it eventually. This match will never happen again, its bad enough we had to see it the first time. As far as his dislike of Jericho is concerned, I'm sure Jericho doesn't give two s. I'm pretty sure 99% of wrestling fans would rather have had Jericho return than Goldberg. Then again, would have been funny to see that dumbass knock himself out by spearing the ring post again...

That match had so much potential, at least for me.

I wouldn't mind Goldberg back, but not against Lesnar. Cena VS Goldberg would be cool.
But I'm quite certain Jericho really did beat Goldberds a$$ way back when.

That match had so much potential, at least for me. It wasn't the greatest in-ring matchup but I felt like the match could have been great if it was booked perfectly. It needed to be a No DQ match with back and forth finisher kickouts to end the match, IMO.

I agree on that, Both men were built so powerfully that it wouldve been great seeing them kick out of the F5's, spears, jackhammers, etc

their match was quite possibly the WORST wrestling match in the history of wrestling. with all the hype all the build up
then those 2 just going out there locking up for 10 minutes, hitting a few moves and cashing it in was an insult and a spit in the face to everyone who paid good money to see it. i would never want to see those 2 in a ring vs. each other again
