I'm a little confused, are Sony linking with a company and only having one 3G service or is there gonna to be multiple ones?
And then after i get the Vita do i have to go on a 3G plan which i have to pay for each month/year?
Just curious, i'm not sure which one to get, if i don't get the 3G one i guess i can just spend the extra money on a memory card.

If you have a smart phone, the 3G is useless. Your phone will be superior in that regard. There is a 20MB download lit for 3G, so it's not like you could download Uncharted on the go, anyway.
I'm a day one buyer, and I'll be getting the WiFi. With a few games and a healthy memory card.
Hope I helped.

I know my phone can download podcasts over 3G that are over 100 MB, but I have to specifically flip a setting in the OS telling it I'm OK with that. I think OS manufacturers put that 20MB limit in there because it makes the carrier's happy that we're not trying to download huge files and because 3G isn't very fast, so anything much larger than 20 MB is not a fast download. As far as I know, no one has announced the 3G carrier deal for Australia. However, the Amazon notes for the Vita make it seem that the purchase of a data plan *will* be required, though I was under the impression the AT&T deal in the US at least made it work like the Amazon Kindle where it was free. In any event, I agree with Valo's comment that if you have a smartphone, the 3G functionality doesn't have much value. This is doubly true if you have an Android phone or have an iPhone with a carrier plan that would allow tethering/wireless hotspot. Even if you're technically able to download Uncharted on the go, it will be a pretty awful experience and will be an even larger battery drain.

Uncharted, Touch my Katamari and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I'll probably get Rayman Origins after i get some good comparisons of the 3DS and PS Vita versions. :3

Your phrasing made it seem like it was a limitation of 3G in general vs. a limitation that is being arbitrarily placed on the 3G Vita.

I'm kidding. But yea, I think the WiFi is the best model if you already have a smartphone with 3G. Why pay monthly. Also, the plans were revealed yesterday. It's month by month, no contract.
