Was Ibushis injury not that serious? It didn’t cross my mind at all that it was real? I absolutely felt like it was a work! No? I honestly can't say, I just read about it through results

Wrestle Kingdom didn't need three days. Two days felt more of a chore than a longer one night show

3!?!
Oh no, that's just too much..
Two was fine, outside of the first night being better it was a good idea. Three is no good. You can't get enough meaningful matches over 3 nights

Just watched the full scene from the Ibushi injury, after watching Shibata & ZSJ make my heart smile for 5 minutes. I love great mat wrestling, and seeing Shibata and ZSJ in that scenario was fantastic.
Anyways, not for one 1000th of a second did it occur to me during that entire Ibushi injury that it could be a work. If that's a work, Ibushi is the single greatest performer of all time. That landing looked painful. The young lions etc did a great job of giving Ibushi privacy, but in the moment where he was kneeling and Okada was patting him on the back and reassuring him, you could clearly see what looked like a protruding clavicle. It's possible it was a lighting effect since I was looking for it I suppose. Kota also has a history of shoulder injuries, and the risk for subsequent dislocations is quite high after an initial one. Combine that with the way NJPW regards athlete health and works them into the ground, especially during the G1, and it seems like a pretty plausible injury.

Wrestle Kingdom didn't need three days. Two days felt more of a chore than a longer one night show I agree with this. It felt less special to me across two nights.

Just got around to watching the G1 Final and Ibushi's arm dislocation is such a sad way to end the G1, especially after Naito's injury at the start of the tournament. Just read that it wasn't as bad of a dislocation as Balor's 2016 and no surgery is needed. Should be back in about 2 months or so.
Also a 3 night Wrestle Kingdom? Uh, sure I guess. Don't see why it needed 3 nights, but I'm sure there will be good matches

Buddy Murphy going to NJPW instead of AEW was a wise choice. Lots of WWE talent in AEW at the moment so although I think he would be utilised would not be a pick above Bryan etc.

Japan has once again closed its borders to non citizens and residents. Depending how long they are closed could have impact on wrestle Kingdom plans. Not just ticket sales but guys like buddy probably can't get into Japan right now. Jay white/etc should be safe since they've been there long enough to have residency but newer guys are not gonna get in.

Before I started working mornings, I preferred watching live. Now I watch right after I get off work

Absolutely devastated they way they did The Last Dragon. Takagi should have gone over on Okada and then pulled it out vs Ospreay. What a huge missed opportunity to create the next superstar versus going back to Okada. Terrible. Just terrible.

I didn’t want him to lose the belt, but I also assumed that Okada was walking out with the belt to basically celebrate New Japan’s 50th anniversary and be the champion most if not all of the year.
