I fully understand why they don't have blood anymore and I respect that, but a lot of the matches they hype up as BRUTAL and CAREER THREATENING just seem way too tame now a days. Hell In A Cell matches seem less like the brutal matches and more like regular matches that happen to have a cell around the ring. I'm not saying have everyone bleed every week like Ric Flair but I think a little blood once in a blue moon would go a long way in enhancing the experience, especially now since how rare it is.

I actually agree here. I was watching Foley vs Edge last night and that final image of Edge soaked in his own blood twitching said so much about the match itself. Given the right circumstances, blood can make a match so much more believable. A perfect example is Orton vs Triple H from Wrestlemania 25. We all know that they went out there and tried to put on an old school wrestling match. But the build up itself was about two men that literally wnted to tear each other apart. It should have been a balls to the wall throwdown with both men barely able to walk out at the end. It really should have been a bloodbath. The match would have gone in a completely different direction.

Why don't they have blood anymore? It's not very PG Risks of infection, i believe Bob Orton caused a scare once. It's not humane to ask people to cut themselves It isn't essential to the product They have cut down on blows to the head which would usualy be the cause of blood. Oh so many reasons...

I sort of do, but I'm positive that the wrestlers don't. The thought out using a razor blade on my head makes me cringe.

Shows how much some gave, and give to the business just for entertainment. As for the HIAC, it should never of had become a PPV. Shoulda staye how it was and at least once a year to fuel or finish a feud.

Triple H/Orton didn't need blood, it needed No DQ.

I always felt that the ppv Hell in a Cell was a joke, being for that simple reason that you know there won't be any blood shed in the matches.
I can see not having blood on Raw or Smackdown, but on a pay per view I think it should be allowed, if for the right cause.
Someone said about Orton vs. Triple H at WM 25 being a match that should have had blood. I agree totally about that. To me, that match stunk as a main event match. Every fan was exhausted from HBK vs. Taker, and then to top it off, having Cena vs. Edge vs. Show right after. The only way I think Orton vs. Triple H would have been interesting would have been to have had a real bloody brawl.

I think blood is a very useful thing if used in the right spots i.e. WM13 Hart vs. Austin, Austin being locked in the Sharpshooter with blood running down his face made that so much more intense and meaningful.
Of course bleeding just to bleed doesn't help anything but if used in the right spots and at the right moment can make a match great.

Blood is not needed in Hell In A Cell matches to be honest. Example. One of my favorite Hell In A Cell matches.

I don't think blood makes or breaks a match so I don't miss it much at all. There was only two instances where I think the excessive use of blood added to the feel of the match. Eddie Guerrero Vs JBL where Eddie apparently almost blacked out from the bloodloss. and Cena/JBL from Judgement Day.

I used to miss it alot but now i hardly notice it being gone. However I am so thankful that they gave up the EMTs rushing down if someone got busted open hard way. That would completely ruin matches for me seeing the EMTs cleaning them up when we've seen guys gushing like Eddie at the GAB and Cena at Judgement Day 05.

Actually I believe Eddie went into shock after the match for losing a pint of blood.
