According to a new report published by The Wrestling Observer, a member of the WWE creative team has inquired as to whether or not Brock Lesnar has had talks with officials about returning to the company following his MMA retirement announcement.
Furthermore, it's being reported that the creative team member asked whether or not Paul Heyman would be involved should Lesnar eventually return to WWE. When asked about Heyman, Vince McMahon reportedly shot down the notion quickly, and said that the former ECW name would not be part of any Lesnar return and "that's the end of it."
It is believed at this time that if talks between Lesnar and WWE happen, they will be kept very quiet.

I don't see Lesnar being brought back without Heyman tbh

Can someone explain the extreme level of want for him to return? I don't understand. Weren't people ready to rip his head off when he left, fans and WWE included? Almost every UFC fan I've ever known hates him. I don't get where the heart-fluttering crush WWE has for him suddenly comes from.
Also, was he ever even really that great? He's a skilled wrestler but wasn't he kind of a snoozer during his run? The epitome of 'Vince loves big guys?'
Maybe I just answered my own question...

Am I the only one who does NOT want Brock back? Honestly I like the star-power WWE has going on now I'd rather Lesnar not return and bury guys like Bryan, Wade, Ziggler and Punk for that matter.
Edit: If you want to bring someone back, bring back RVD not this failed NFL player/UFC fighter

Many UFC fans may hate him, but he was a major draw and his star power helped UFC become more popular/accepted among channels like ESPN. He had some pretty good matches in WWE, became the WWE Champion, and with WWE lacking stars and experiencing viewership issues, it makes the WWE star who dominated UFC coming back "home" an intriguing idea to many. As for the love for Lesnar everywhere, I'm not sure. I think it's a combination of him doing enough good in WWE to earn some fans, becoming the Heavyweight Champion of a sport that has lots of fans who look down at wrestling and acting like a wrestling heel would while in UFC. If the only issue with getting Lesnar in WWE for whatever he would do was having Heyman with him, I have a strong feeling Vince and Stephanie would put personal differences aside if they think they can make money with Lesnar.

Most fans including myself hated Lesnar or disrespected Lesnar due to his actions since leaving the WWE (Similar to The Rock's IWC hate) and most people didn't want him to ever be back because we all thought he would continue his UFC run and then once hes about 40 he'll be back for the money and be gone in a year but since hes already retired at 34 the future of Lesnar in the WWE seems brighter than ever.
If Lesnar turned up in the E in 5-6 years i wouldn't want him back since it means hes only there for the money so he can finally be set financially for life and have a quick short run and get out but hes already retired and its clear hes WWE bound with the recent comments hes made about a return, Hopefully he gets a light schedule long term contract (6-10 years since hes still young and easily has about a decade left in him) where he only makes TV appearances and he can take a few months off at least once a year then he'll be welcome back. He has said he enjoyed his push and working in the E and he made big money there but he only hated the travel so with a lighter schedule there should be no issues between the E and Brock.
Hopefully whenever he does return it is kept a big secret and isn't spoiled like Jericho's return.

That's pretty much how I feel. I just see another Orton-ish situation where no one really survives or gains heavily from a feud with him.

Maybe I just answered my own question... like k5 said, its basically because Brock has been gone for awhile. he was made to be a massive star and supposedly the "future" of the company and then he just left because he couldn't handle the schedule. anyway, my guess is all the fans who were watching during that time are still watching today and for some reason need to find more entertainment than what we get...so the idea of Lesnar returning is exciting and new. even though 3 months after he returns and burys a guy like swagger...or barrett...or whoever else the IWC is drooling over at the time, people will be calling for Brock's head and he should have stayed retired.

He had the look, the skills and the charisma. Put on some of THE best matches in the years he was around. He's the most naturally gifted athlete and fighter that has ever graced the WWE. People were upset when he was going because it was to pursue his NFL career, truth be told, people didn't want him to go and that is why they were upset. I think the answer to was he ever that great is definatly yes, if he had stayed, his name would be up there with Hogan, Rock, Austin, Cena etc.

I think the extent of the Paul Heyman and WWE relationship is from an agent/management standpoint for Brock, and all of that will seemingly take place behind closed doors. It was one of the options TNA could offer Brock that WWE couldn't, that being the Heyman/Lesnar total package deal. However, I doubt Heyman is demanding or wanting to come back, I would love to see it though, more so than Brock to be honest.

They wouldn't bring Paul Heyman back, and quite frankly I'm not even sure if Heyman would have an interest in coming back. Lesnar wouldn't need him, though.

People didn't hate him because of his character or presence. They turned on him because he was leaving. I always liked Lesnar because even though wrestling is scripted, when he was champion, he made the title look like a legit championship. He looked and behaved like someone that was realistically a tough fighter/wrestler. I don't get that same feeling when I see a champion like Miz or Sheamus.

Some people love him & others don't. Fan groups don't all share the same brain you know.
I'd would absolutely love to see a Lesnar WWE appearance. Loved him growing up!

I enjoyed Lesnar's first run in the WWE. I wasn't real happy with him because of the way he left, but it's his life so I don't hold it against him. Reading about the kind of schedule a top level WWE performer faces makes me understand why he didn't feel he could do it anymore.
Where would Lesnar fit in with the current product? Some people are concerned that Lesnar would come in and bury upcoming stars. While that is a possible scenario, I think Lesnar would be booked as more of a special attraction than a full time wrestler. If done correctly, Lesnar's return could actually help some of the younger stars. I would have Brock feud with Cena, Orton and other established stars over the course of about a year. This would keep the current main event guys out of the WWE and World title picture, thus making room for guys like Ziggler and Rhodes to compete for those titles. After that period of time, where Lesnar is built back up into a dangerous monster once again, he would face the new crop of guys that have been cementing their main event status over the last year. A loss wouldn't necessarily hurt them, but a win over Brock would look great.
Will Brock Lesnar actually return to WWE. I'm not sure about this, but I would like to see it happen. Brock's always been one of my favorites.
