How about painting one wall black (with "ropes" painted on) and the rest of the walls white? I've seen different-colored walls look fantastic and always wanted to do it myself. The ropes idea above was sick, too. With the ropes you can stick a fathead (I thik that's what they call it). You can put a couch on that side to highlight the ropes.
