They went so far from the plot that I think they do not even know what the movie is about any more. Well, guys we really messed up with RE. We did good the first two movies but we really messed up with the last two. What can we do to make it better? Bring back Michelle Rodrigez!!! She died! So? Okay, what next? Have Alison show off her small weird looking boobies! Done! Next? Take one thing from the video game and put it in the movie to show people that we know a little bit about the franchise. Sounds like we have a hit on our hands!!! |

The films have their own plot to the games, putting the characters from the games into different stories, if they were basing the films off the stories of the games, i'd rather watch Afterlife/Retribution than a film versions of RE 4 or 5

It's a Sony Commercial. Every person is holding a Sony Device in their hands and it takes up more than 50% of the "Trailer". Cant wait to see the commercialization and Product Placement inside the actual movie :-p

I enjoy the movies, with the exception of 3 which I couldn't bear to watch more than once, it was terrible.
No Barry or Leon love in the trailer gets me down....

I have enjoyed the series so far, will definitely watch this one on day 1...and more than likely add it to my Blu Ray collection when it hits retail.

Resident Evil is starting to get into Saw territory. They are just pushing out sequels for the hell of it. And just like Saw, they should have stopped after the second. Milla was awesome in the 90s, but now it is just rediculous....

Those "dragons" look like the things from Resident Evil 5 that appear after the helicopter crash. Can't remember the name of it at the moment.

Yes, specifically these two points. 3 was ing terrible, and we are getting Leon, so why not plug it. I have given up on this series at different points in time, specifically after 3. I thought 1 was good, 2 was meh, 3 was atrocious and I thought 4 was as good as 1 because it reeled it back in. Resident Evil is Survival Horror. 2 and 3 were subpar movies because they became fantasy Sci-Fi. They did a good job cutting that poop out in 4, and giving us Chris Redfield, but I hope they don't just bounce back to the over the top poop again. We are getting Ada and Barry and Carlos and Jill are back in it too so I hope they do something with all those great characters. It looks a little fantasy Sci-Fi from the trailer, but it also looks like we get flashbacks from when life was normal too, which is a plus. I hope it's at least entertaining if nothing else. I get that the movies can't be the games, but even the video game series has gotten away from what Resident Evil is all about, albeit still entertaining. I just want Survival Horror. |

Well, that took me by surprise. These films have been on a rapid decline ever since 3. This one however, looks good in a cheesy/over the top crazy sort of way.

I just looked at the cast list and the guy who played Blob in the Wolverine Origins movie is playing Barry Burton. All I gotta say is he better have a beard, fly a helicopter, and save everyone's ass at the end in said helicopter.
