Kurt Angle in 2001. I'm not exactly "for" using 9/11 as a marketing tactic...but he's an olympic gold medalist and should have more or less "Captain America" that year. Plus Kurt Angle was already gold in 2001 anyways. Milk Bash, anyone? I loved that so much

In before this turns into a lame Stong joke thread... Are you trying to say they dropped the ball by failing to sign Sting? Exactly! The Invasion angle and aftermath are to blame for that. That's one that always sticks out to me and agitates me the most (only because I wanted Sting joining the company then...and last year), along with the Nexus storyline.

Nexus comes to mind most recently.
For singular Superstars, I always thought they could've done more with O'Haire back when they had Piper as his mouthpiece.

WWE didn't drop the ball on Shelton, Shelton dropped the ball on Shelton, he was content with where he was and didn't strive to rise any higher then where he was in the company...
Anyway I think WWE dropped the ball on Tyson Kidd though there is still a chance for them to pick the ball back up and run with it. He's probably one of their better all rounders.

MVP i think wwe dropped the ball with him. I thought he was pretty entertaining i like his character. And if im talking about current wwe talent McIntyre for sure.

surprised but happy to see the raven appreciation.
i still think tommy dreamer was hugely marketable
call me pretentious, but my choice is dynamite kid. he had it all and i believe he wouldve quickened the pace of recognition for truly talented ring workers.

I thought the dude was definitely going to be a main event star. I thought he was awesome in WCW and I just thought when he came over that WWE would see the potential with his size and ability. Raven is just an absolutely head scratcher. Same goes for DDP really. Oh, and MVP. Guys like Burke and Carlito had the potential, but I felt like guys like Raven, MVP and DDP were already at that level and just didn't get used correctly.

Mr. Kennedy and Sean O'haire...both had great promo ability and weren't half bad in the ring.
