So yeah...a new TMNT series is hitting Nick soon, and Playmates released some photos of the first wave of action figures this afternoon: geek-news.mtv.com/2012/02/01/mtv-geek-exclusive-tons-of-tmnt-toys/I didn't know what to make of the new character designs when I first saw the publicity shots, but these are awesome! I'll definitely pick up the whole set. I really like the Shellraiser (new van) too, so I'll think about picking that up, depending on the price. I'm not too interested in the deluxe/sound effect figures, but I guess I'll wait to see how they look in person. geek-news.mtv.com/2012/02/01/mtv-geek-exclusive-playmates-tmnt-classic-collection-action-figures/...there's a "classics" series too. I probably won't be able to resist these either...I'm just hoping the line sells well enough for us to get future waves. I'd love new figures of classic Casey, Shredder, Splinter and even some 2003-style guys. Anyone else excited about these?!

They look pretty cool....but no Ninja Turtles figures will ever be cooler than the rubber ones that came out for the Ninja Turtles II movie. They were just the most epic toys EVER.

I'll get a set of the Retro ones, without a doubt! As well as the more detailed, blank-pupiled Nickelodeon versions.
Some thoughts on these awesome looking figures -
- Retro Leo and Don didn't have belt straps in the 'toon, but I don't mind that they have them on the toys. If anything, I would have been interested in cross-straps like the old Playmates figures had, but these look really nice.
- I hope the 2012 Michelangelo includes two nunchaku, rather than one and that kama thing he has. I just can't seem to picture Mikey with a kama, seems a little too out of character. Glad Don doesn't have a blade at the end of his staff like we've seen in promo pics for the show.
- I really hope these are in the same scale as the NECA TMNT from 2008. Those figures are, to me, perfect, and having these all be able to stand in the same setup will be absolutely awesome.
I can't wait. There'll be some stop-motion with these guys once I get them!

The new looks are... interesting. They're pretty cool, but the legs just seem a little off to me. The classics versions are amazing, I'm probably going to have to get those. I just really, REALLY hope they make a classics Shredder too. And HOLY SH*T at that size of that freakin' playset! It's been a very long time since I've seen such a huge and really cool action figure playset like that.

It's like I'm 5 all over again. Between this and the awesome at every turn ongoing from IDW, it's fun to be a turtles fan again.

Heres a link with pics of them as well toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=216&itemid=18236I am 100% getting the classics. I love these classic lines of toys from my youth like MOTUC and ThunderCats Classics. In the MTV interview its pretty awesome that the guy says if the classics do well they will explore other things like characters from the Cartoons, Movies, and comics. I hope the classics do well and we can get a fairly nice assortment of TMNT Classic figures. Id Love TMNT Classic figures, from the cartoon of BeeBop Rock Steady Shredder Krang Foot Soldier (sweet army builder) Casey Jones April Splinter The Rat King Baxter the Fly and TMNT Classic Figures of these movie characters Super Shredder Toka Razar 4 Turtles in Samurai attires from TMNT3

They were just the most epic toys EVER. cant wait this cartoon is shaping up to be the closest comic book interperation from i assumed would be the worst company but i guess i cant judge a book by its cover looks great and those ninja turtle movie star figures were the absolute greatest figure of my life between the rubber arms and the wavy bandannas ugh they should made a whole line of figures like that but i heard they were too pricey to produce on a massive multi set scale but damn if they weren't awesome still remember the day i got them on vacation in cape cod found leo and raph and someone my mother or father bought mike and don while i wasn't looking and gave them to me once we got home from the trip to connecticut still remember eating at nardelis that night in waterbury weird how you remember such special times in your life

where the hell do you guys see the classics pics?
i did notice if you zoom in the 4 ft high amazing playset you get a glimpse of april shredder and splinter, little cartoonish for my liking but playmate has a hard time portraying anger in their turtle stuff i mean their super shredder was shorter then the damn turtles
