Hi everyone,
I want to try to make some belts with leather-like straps, I tried to use old wallets and check books but it's too stiff. Is there a synthetic leather for crafts or something I can use?
Thanks in advance.

Watch straps? Or leather belts. I used those a few times.

I would say check out a local craft or fabric store and feel around. The wallets and checkbooks materials are a little rough but you gotta remember that leather needs to be conditioned, treated, and worked...leather is a lot like a woman come to think of it!

I use pvc (polyvinylchloride) which has been given the exact look and slight texture of leather. Most craft stores carry this, and it is a type of synthetic plastic leather which is pretty cheap (compared to real leather), but less flexible. There is a kind which is thinner and more flexible that has been used for wrestling figure leather coats/jackets, but in my experience I have found this near impossible to get hold of. Just ask for some pvc and you should be fine
