this could have been the season finale...holy crap that was the most stressful final 5 minutes of any tv show ive seen I feel exactly the same way. I don't have too many OMG moments while watching any form of entertainment, but last night was one of those moments. Sophia=was sad Dale= quite surprised Shane=Holy %$ I can't wait to see how they can top this one.

I didn't see the spoiler, but obviously I knew it was coming. Even with that, it caught me completely off guard. I didn't think Rick was actually going to do it. And then I was like, holy shit. I liked that they worked the Carl thing in after Rick and Shane went down. The herd coming towards the gunshots gave me legit goosebumps, I thought that was awesome.
The beginning sequence was really awesome with the 4 of them just taking down zombies with all that hatred in their eyes. I think it got the episode going full steam, and then by the time the episode ended it was an absolute grand slam. It's one thing to know something is coming, but to have it be done in a way that tells such a great story and surprises you makes the whole thing really entertaining, at least for me.
So now, they are most definitely going to be flushed off the farm and forced on the run. Leading to a new kind of opposition, which should help us all move on from losing Shane. There are bigger problems out there, much bigger, and while I loved Shane, it's time to explore the rest of the world imo.
Really great episode, really well done all the way around, and I am very much pumped to see what happens in the finale. I just assumed Shane's moment would come during the finale, so a lot of new avenues just opened up in my mind as to what will happen.

Daryl is still alive, which is the only person that matters. lol. I love the show as a whole, but Daryl is by far my favorite character. Which is funny because I'm a huge fan of the comic series too, and Daryl isn't even in it, which is funny to me. So I'm with you here. With the comics, I have grown to like characters that have been outright killed off that I never thought were getting killed, and kept reading. So I have to assume I would do the same if Daryl went down, but that would be a tough pill to swallow.

I never read the comics so before I ask my question I will just say this... SPOILERS (for those who haven't watched yet...although if you were smart you would not be in this thread if you haven't watched it yet): How does Shane die in the comics? Highlight if you want to know: Rick and Shane have a huge confrontation, Carl, from outta nowhere shoots Shane through the neck. Shane dies, later on Rick returns to where they buried Shane, and shoots the zombie version in the head, then says, "I ain't gonna bury you again, you son of a bitch".Thank you sir.

This is easily the best show on television right now. What an awesome episode. You should watch Breaking Bad Agreed. I can't wait for the final season to start.

It'll be interesting when everyone is fighting off zombies and they ask where shane is to help out and rick has to explain, oh yeah - I killed him but follow my lead

Anyone who's following the comics, is this them introducing "The Herds" sooner than they did in the comics?

Sick episode last night. I wish that they would have had Rick kill Shane, turn around to go bring Carl back to the house, and then notice all the zombies coming. Next episode he wouldn't have time to explain what happened to Shane to Carl or anyone else back at the house right off the bat. Then when they're fighting off the zombies, zombie Shane comes out of nowhere and everyone would be like, "Wait, wtf? Shane?" I think it would have been cooler than just having Rick shank him, then have Carl blow him away a few minutes later.

Does anyone else see a handful of regular characters getting offed next week? It's going to be a bloodbath. Last season I would have been all for it, but it actually gets to me now when a character that we have really kind of been introduced to are taken out. For some reason I don't see Hershel or Carol making it next week, and unfortunately I don't see T-Dog making out of the season finale...damn.

I think T-Dog is around just for when Merle, whenever that is, comes back.
Also, with Shane taking a fall.... I was worried about there being also no conflict left in the group with both him and Dale gone, but then I remembered about their recent casting.... which I can't wait for.
Little tid bit too; Was it me, or was Walker Shane smirking when he was walking towards Rick?

Jimmy & Patricia get less lines than T-Dog. You think Jimmy would have something to say about his girlfriend trying to kill herself.

Jimmy is a dead man in the zombie armageddon. Carol is probably a goner too. I expect zombie Otis to show up, as part of the horde. remember Otis didn't double die, he just got eaten

I've been praying that Lori dies. Everday. She is so dumb, terrible mom too.

I've been praying that Lori dies. Everday. She is so dumb, terrible mom too. Amen! Ha. Yeah her and Carl would be great, unless Carl is now going to step up his game, and just wreck junk. Norman was born to do this role as Daryl, then again any role I've ever seen him in, he was born to do. Such a great actor, and way to take an original character, that was originally recurring and make him not only a full time cast member, but dang, probably one of the bets if not the best character on the show.

Anyone who's following the comics, is this them introducing "The Herds" sooner than they did in the comics? Much sooner. We don't find out about herding until Abraham and his trio show up. I don't think we actually saw a herd until about issue 60? Not to say that it's really that simple to define a timeline at this point since a lot of things are completely out of whack compared to the comics. Dale, Sophia and Shane all being key examples.

Kirkman said on TalkingDead towards the end of 2A that herding would be shown during this part of the season.
