When Michael Rooker's "Merle Dixon" disappeared from The Walking Dead, I - and many others - speculated that perhaps his character would be repurposed into The Governor, a new face arriving in The Walking Dead season 3. It could work, sure. But then the comic book purists might get pissed, but fan chatter hasn't stopped the creative team behind the show before. Later, however, David Morrissey was announced to play The Governor leaving us to wonder if Merle's season 2 appearance was the last we'd see of the character. Well, Rooker was at WonderCon today and he gave attendees an answer. The Daily Dead reports Rooker announced he'll be back next year: "While Rooker didn’t go into much more detail, he did mention that he lost 20 lbs for the role." Will Merle return once again as a vision of sorts to his brother Daryl (Norman Reedus) or will this be a flesh and blood appearance that finally answers the question: What happened to Merle after he cut his hand off and escaped his rooftop prison of season one? Will he work for The Governor, perhaps? What do you think? www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/166285-michael-rooker-will-be-back-for-the-walking-dead-season-3

Everything changes tonight, I'm expecting at least 3 - 4 more of the survivors to meet their doom! Any predictions on who actually makes it out alive tonight?
I really like how they are not taking everything right out of the comics, and instead using it as more of a guide line. It's def keeping me on the edge of my seat!

So originally I was stoked Rick finally maned up'd and killed Shane... But I am seriously missing his character right now. Thinking about whats going on, and whats to come. I loved the way the show portrayed him. I'm for sure going to feel like he's missing from here on out.

Even though Shane was a crazy bastard, I'm gonna miss the character.

I've never, ever looked so forward to a television show more than I am tonight. I second this. I remember being really excited for the Sopranos, but this trumps it.

KILL EVERYBODY TONIGHT!!!! T-Dog - DIE! Hershel's Kids - DIE! Sophia's Mom - DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! The end. Jimmy is going to get killed and the suicidal chick will either go try to save him and get herself killed, or just kill herself instantly. T-Dog won't die tonight, but will die early next season Carol is probably a dead woman walking, and when she turns into a walker, Carl is going to be the one to shoot her. I personally don't think Hershall is going to make it out of the season finale alive or undead. My other prediction is the return of Otis, now undead and in that giant horde, and the return of Merle.

Plenty of people will die tonight. I really hope it isn't as bad as after the prison.
If you've followed the comics then highlight:
Anyone else feel like it could be as bad as the prison getting over run? Pretty much EVERYONE died. The only one's left were Rick, Carl, Andrea, Glenn, Maggie, and Michonne. Obviously T-Dog is safe tonight. (At least I think so. I'm sure he's around for a good reason.) I just really hope it's not a total cleaning house like it was. They're gonna need as much as they can get to clear out that prison if they get there in the show.

I don't think anyone of consequence is going to die tonight. Maybe one of Hershel's kids, or Carol, but I don't see them making any more big moves (besides getting off the farm).

I see Carol and all of the guys on the farm (not the Atlanta group) besides Maggie and Hershel dying. Maybe T-Dog, but I feel like he's still around for when Merle returns or something.

I'm predicting no one even dies besides that one kid and maybe the two females that were on the farm before the group arrived (not maggie).
