I was without a care in the world until I opened the envelope. If there was a word for what was going through my mind at this moment, it would be disbelief. The opportunity thats been given to me is once in a lifetime. I mean I don't want to sound clichéd when I say this but I've always wanted to get to this point. All my childhood dreams were about to come true, all them people that doubted me were about to be proved wrong. I've always been an underdog in my family. I was told I wouldn't amount to anything, never have a good paycheck, never do anything with my life. But it was now time to prove them wrong. I guess your all wondering what was about to happen? Well lets just say Lewis Bain is going to take the wrestling worlds breath away.

Dear Lewis,
Thank you for taking the time to write this letter to us, we have acknowledged who you are and what you have been doing for the wrestling scene in Britain. We saw that you have been training wrestling since you were four and have been on the independent scene in West Yorkshire, and you also emailed us some videos of your matches and we were astounded by your talent. You have an aura about you, I sense you could provide Impact Wrestling with some of your talent. Don't let it go to waste.
So heres the offer, we want you to come down and do a tryout match which will be at the live event on the 6th in the Manchester Evening News arena. Be on top of your game because you could receive a contract and head off to our developmental facility for further training. Your match will be against another one of our tryouts and formerly known as your friend Gary Ratcliffe.
Thanks for your time.

A basic set up, but works for a POV like this. Having the try out match on your home turf could greatly benefit you, as the crowd reaction would certainly be dull in the United States. Hoping that for the next entry, you give your personal thoughts and feelings towards this opportunity. A solid start. Will continue reading as entries are posted.

I still can't get over how excited I am about this opportunity! I mean come on, if you were given this chance you wouldn't pass on it! But I am determined to make an impact on my first in-ring match for a top wrestling company! And hopefully not my last! I mean a childhood dream coming true is one thing but then facing off against your lifetime friend! Thats gonna be a moment inside that will last forever, and we have styles of wrestling that will go together so well! It's a win-win situation! I seriously hope nobody wins the match and it goes to a time limit and we both get contracts! Pursuing a dream is never easy though, I mean the money part is the worst because I live in the smaller area of West Yorkshire called Wakefield and I was born here. When I was four my Grandfather used to always have wrestling on and thats why I'm so interested in it now! I grew up watching the likes of Chris Benoit and Triple H and with Gary we'd try moves on the trampoline out back I'd be Benoit and he'd be The Game! A few years later and we heard about a wrestling school in this little area called Horbury and we'd be getting trained by the local promoters called Jonathan Sedgwick and Chris Hart! They were the real deal in British Wrestling Promotion! But yeah on from that, this will be the turning point of our lifes and no-one can stop us!!

First off this is decently written (though it could be better) and you do a fairly good job at the big picture, these things need to be well written to succeed. I do feel like we don't know your character at all yet really, we know he's a wrestler and he's excited about this opportunity, there's a bit there in terms of why he wants to be a wrestler but I'm going to need to care about this guy and his personality to care about the diary. Also I feel you haven't really gotten anywhere yet, the updates so far have all seemed to reiterate the same points and could've been meshed into one post. Overall though a solid start and you have a foundation which to work with, work on a couple of things and it could be good.

It took us nearly an hour and a half to get to the stadium, The way it looked at us when we stood in front of it was like it had been waiting for us for a lifetime. For the past month we'd been training up in Wales with our friends Smithy and Josh. They have a massive indoor wrestling ring for training and every now and again he has events in it usually making about a grand every event so we'd gone up to train and also work this event. I faced off against a guy called Preston his ring name being Tetro with his gimmick being a gamer who's being tortured by a Pacman alien. Boy that was fun.
Whilst I was on my way here I recieved an email saying that I'd be wrestling under the ring name Jeremy Mchale, which sounded alright but what can I do to change it. I mean up in Wales I wrestled under the name Jinksa but ah well. It's not about the ring name its about the talent you have within you. Gary also wrestled a guy named Matterlogical which was a top match and was so worthwhile watching. The other guy won though which was a bummer.
Anyway thats what happened over the last month. But today was bound to be important. I was to be ready to head out to the ring within an hour, we were the first matchup on the card and even though nerves were filling our bodys we were determined to be the best tryout matchup there.
