Smackdown Review
- Loved the way you opened up Smackdown with the Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle, what an appropriate way to start off Smackdown and then he ends up talking about being back in a WWE ring and how at SummerSlam he wanted to face Ambrose one on one but that Bryan had to stick his nose into his business and now he wants to face both him and Bryan, I love it because Angle he is all about competition and he is all about fighting but the difference is that he actually has respect for Ambrose but none for Bryan, I love it, but at the same time I loved Ambrose and eventually Bryan interrupting causing this segment to become a YES and NO shouting match and then cue 3MB coming out, do 3MB have a death wish, why would they interrupt Angle, Ambrose and Bryan
- Main event is set, it will be a six-man tag team match, Angle, Bryan and Ambrose to take on 3MB, how is that going to happen? How are these 3 going to co-exist?
- The WWE Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro defeats the WWE United States Champion Christian in a great rematch of champion vs champion, Cesaro is just that dominant, probably the best champion in WWE at the moment, no one has been able to beat him since he has become Intercontinental Champion but I can see Del Rio being the one who takes the title from him but as for Evan Bourne no way I can see him becoming United States Champion again but the only way he ever could become US Champion again is if it is in a multi-man match
- Love Teddy Long making the call that Cody Rhodes can't get involved in his brother Dustin's match against Randy Orton and if he does, his SummerSlam match for the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton the World Heavyweight Champion is off, great call from Teddy Long, makes this match-up between Dustin Runnels and Randy Orton fair by making it one on one
- R-Truth getting himself DQ'ed against Hawkins and Reks, he and Lil' Jimmy delivered on that promise that they were going to get got and they did, even though R-Truth technically was alone this whole match he attacked both men rather fiercely, I have to give credit where it's due, maybe R-Truth who is one fry short of a happy meal, the lunatic, the crazy demented R-Truth can now focus on other things like maybe getting an Intercontinental Championship match or even a World Heavyweight Championship match
- Love the promo packages for Team Flair vs Team Maddox and NXT with Seth Rollins defending the NXT Championship against Damien Sandow who is invoking his rematch clause and then Richie Steamboat taking on Trent Barretta in the finals of the NXT Elimination Chase to determine the new #1 Contender for the WWE NXT Championship
- Orton vs Runnels, I can't wait
- Orton defeats Dustin in a great match and I love how Cody was helpless as he watches his big brother Dustin get punted in the skull with Dustin getting his head punted off his shoulders, now it seems Orton is ready for the World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, Orton is ready to defend his title against Cody Rhodes and now this match is personal because you know Cody is going to be guinning for Orton wanting revenge especially after what happened to his brother Dustin
- I just love the Punt Kick and I feel Orton should use it more often in his matches because it makes him look all the more threatening and makes him look all the more dangerous
- Prime Time Players defeat Gabriel and Kidd, in a great match, it shows that PTP is ready to become the next WWE Tag Team Champions and I hope they end up facing DiBiase and Hennig, heel vs heel tag team matches always are great to watch
- Ryback giving Michael Cole Shell Shocked, I laughed my ass off, and Kane was defeated once by Ryback, but I see Ryback defeating him again because Ryback only has more going for him at the moment than Kane does, but at the same time Kane doesn't need a victory over Ryback because he is already established enough that he could get a World Heavyweight Championship match regardless
- Love your rundown of the SummerSlam card, definitely can't wait
- But loved the main event of Angle, Bryan and Ambrose getting the victory over 3MB but then right after the match Ambrose and Angle get in each other's faces and then out of nowhere Bryan attacks both men and stands tall to end the show was great, but I don't see him winning at SummerSlam

TWT 8/19 - SummerSlam Axxess Results, SummerSlam Music Videos, Possible SummerSlam 2013 Location
- Yesterday (Saturday), WWE held their annual SummerSlam Axxess event outside of the Staples Center. The match results from the event are as follows...
- NXT Champion Seth Rollins and The Usos def. Primo, Epico, and Hunico
- Johnny Curtis (Who debuted a new ballroom dancing gimmick) def. Derrick Bateman
- Paige def. Maxine
- Prime Time Players def. Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd
- This past Friday on SmackDown, two special music video packages were aired. One for the Team Flair vs. Team Maddox Elimination match, and the other for Rey Mysterio's farewell match against Sin Cara. The idea behind these videos is to give this year's SummerSlam a bigger feeling. WWE.com uploaded two more videos over the weekend. One for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, featuring "Hunt You Down" by Saliva, which had previously been used as the theme song for No Way Out in 2009. The other video was for the WWE Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk, which featured "Renegade" by Manafest. A music video package for John Cena and Brock Lesnar's Unsanctioned Match is expected to air during SummerSlam.
- The word going around this weekend is that the "Biggest Party of the Summer" may not be returning to Los Angeles next year. Several sources have been reporting that the 2013 SummerSlam event may be heading to Madison Square Garden, but nothing is confirmed at the moment.

Pretty good Smckdown to put the finishing touches on a good-looking SummerSlam card. The main event was nice with Angle getting the win. I can see Bryan cheating Angle out of the win at the pay-per-view, leading to a proper one-on-one match between the two at the next pay-per-view. Seems like you've Cody Rhodes et up to win the title, and I don't really see CM Punk regaining his belt. I said it before and I'll say it again: please let Team Flair win because we don't need another heel authority figure. All in all some nice work here and I'm looking forward to seeing SummerSlam posted pretty soon.

Your Summerslam's looking stellar. I'll have to give the entire diary a read tonight.

If SummerSlam moves away from the Staples Center next year in your diary, I know a lot of places where you could host SummerSlam besides Madison Square Garden like for example:
Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri
But those are just for future SummerSlam locations but I like that you are taking it to New York to Madison Square Garden for SummerSlam 2013, should be great
Love the fact that you brought up SummerSlam Axxess, and just what went on down there and the matches that happened and what not
But this SummerSlam is probably the best one on this whole board hands down bar none because the card just looks so awesome on paper and the build-up towards the matches themselves have been stellar along with the promo packages too, can't wait
But I think the most emotional match on the card hands down is Rey's last match because this is his retirement match, his last match ever and he is facing the new generation of masked luchador in Sin Cara, and I think this will be Sin Cara's coming out party in the sense that he will come into his own in this match taking over Rey's spot in the company after Rey leaves with Sin Cara being the Ultimate Underdog of the WWE
Definitely Rey should be the headliner for your 2013 WWE Hall of Fame class because he is well deserving of it but who should induct Rey into the Hall of Fame? I can either see it being Sin Cara who inducts him or I could see it being Del Rio Rey's long-time rival who inducts him

- Fun opening segment, nice to see Kurt Angle back in the WWE. - Cesaro vs Christian is an awesome match, glad outside interference cost Christian the match to keep him looking strong. - the... tag team match? was insane, but I'm actually surprised WWE didn't do it. Truth getting the win doesn't do much for Reks and Hawkins but I don't suppose they're going to be doing anything anyway. - Nice seeing Dustin around, obvious win for Orton though. Hope Cody takes the belt at Summerslam. - Fun tag team match with PTP and International Airstrike. Prime Time are money, and deserve a tag title run. - Good segment with Ryback and Kane. - 3MB are in the main event! Obvious win for Angle/Ambrose/Bryan and the attack on both men by Bryan was awesome. Somewhat feels like this triple threat feud is more important than Orton/Rhodes but I guess Angle has a lot of steam right now.
Fun show, looking forward to reading Summerslam.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER.
YouTube Pre-Show United States Champion Christian and Alberto Del Rio def. Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro and Evan Bourne **Del Rio forced Bourne to submit to the Cross Armbreaker**
After the signature WWE intro, a video package was shown featuring highlights from Brock Lesnar's WWE career. In an immensely short period of time, Lesnar only ran rough shot through the WWE roster, but became the youngest WWE Champion in history ten years ago at SummerSlam. Lesnar would remain absent from World Wrestling Entertainment for eight years, embarking in other professions. However, the "Next Big Thing" made his return at RAW 1000, immediately setting his sights on John Cena. Tonight, Lesnar makes his return to the "Biggest Party of the Summer" with one goal on his mind - beat Cena to a bloody pulp, and become the new face of the WWE.
The opening graphic for the event is shown as the pyrotechnics are set off on the stage. "Earthquake" by Labrinth blasts throughout the Staples Center as cameras scan over the red-hot audience here in Los Angeles. The commentary unit of Michael Cole, Jerry "The King" Lawler, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, and Booker T welcomed everyone to the "Biggest Party of the Summer," the extravaganza known as SummerSlam! The four of them discuss tonight's stacked card, which includes the retirement match of California's own Rey Mysterio as he takes on fellow masked luchadore, Sin Cara. The vacancy in the RAW General Manager position will be filled as Team Flair and Team Maddox collide. Dolph Ziggler defends the WWE Championship against CM Punk in a match where if he is disqualified or counted out, a new champion will be crowned. And finally, the fight that everyone is eagerly anticipating. Brock Lesnar makes his return to in-ring competition tonight against John Cena in an Unsanctioned Match. The opening bell is then sounded as Justin Roberts announces to the WWE Universe that the opening contest is for the World Heavyweight Championship!
World Heavyweight Championship Randy Orton (c) vs. Cody Rhodes | The bell sounded as both Orton and Cody stood across the ring from one another, staring at each other. After months of animosity, the World Heavyweight Championship bout that Cody earned by winning the King of the Ring tournament is finally here. He and Orton locked up, the Viper getting the No. 1 contender in a Headlock. Cody tried to push him away, but Orton managed to keep a tight grip. He hit Cody on the top of his head with a few right hands, stunning him momentarily. Orton then ran the ropes, taking Cody down with a Clothesline. The Viper hit a few more Clotheslines before getting in a Back Body Drop, covering Cody for a two count. Orton quickly stood up, stomping on Cody a few times. He lifted Cody up to his feet, hitting him with a forearm shot. Cody rolled out of the ring as Orton went after him. Cody was one step ahead of the World Heavyweight Champion, grabbing his legs and pulling him out from underneath the bottom rope. Orton crashed to the floor as Cody rolled back into the ring, waiting for him to get back to his feet. The No. 1 contender attempted a Baseball Slide, but Orton managed to grab his feet and pulling him out onto the floor just as he did to him previously. Orton placed Cody against the barricade, hitting him with multiple right hands shots. The World Heavyweight Champion then attempted to whip him into the steel steps, but Cody was able to counter it and sent Orton crashing shoulder first into the them. By that point, the official had reached the count of eight as Cody quickly rolled Orton back into the ring. He got the cover on the Viper, but not the three count. Cody threw Orton against the bottom turnbuckle, driving his boot into his clavicle until the official forced him away. Cody then brought Orton to the center of the ring, looking to hit the Alabama Slam. However, Orton managed to slide out of it and roll Cody up, only gaining a two count. Cody backed up against a corner as Orton charged towards him, getting his foot up in time. The dazed Orton stumbled into the center of the ring as Cody ascended up to the top turnbuckle. The No. 1 contender came down with a Moonsault, connecting it perfectly onto Orton. He got the cover with the hook of the leg, but Orton was able to kick out in the nick of time. Cody then brought Orton closer to the center of the ring once again, locking in the Figure Four Leg Lock. "Woo!" chants filled the Staples Center as Cody had the hold in, Orton struggling. Moments later, Orton was able to find enough strength to turn the hold on Cody. Now it was the No. 1 contender who was fighting to reach the ropes. It was a struggle, but Cody managed to succeed. Cody rolled out to the ring apron as Orton got a hold of him, looking to hit his Hanging DDT. Cody was able to quickly fight out of it, hitting Orton with a few body shots before grabbing his head and pulling his neck onto the top rope. Cody slid back into the ring, coming up behind Orton and looking to hit Cross Rhodes. Orton was able to respond quickly, hitting Cody with a few elbows as he retreated to the outside. Orton made chase for Cody, who attempted to a Clothesline. Orton managed to dodge it, planting Cody with a Scoop Slam onto the outside. Orton then placed Cody on the other side of the barricade, pulling his feet up onto it as he hit the Hanging DDT onto the floor! Cody was out cold as Orton slid him back into the ring, getting the cover. Somehow, Cody managed to get his foot on the bottom rope. Orton was clearly frustrated by this point, wanting to put Cody away already. The World Heavyweight Champion then backed into a corner, waiting for Cody to get to his hands and knee. Orton was looking to give Cody the same fate that his brother, Dustin, faced this past Friday on SmackDown. Orton then went for the Punk Kick, but Cody was able to dodge it. He then caught Orton from behind, planting him with Cross Rhodes! Cody got the cover, but Orton barely managed to kick out. Cody pounded the mat in anger, believing that he had the World Heavyweight Title won at that moment. Orton staggered to his feet as Cody stalked him, looking for the Disaster Kick. Orton dodged the kick, hitting Cody with an RKO on the rebound! However, Cody rolled out of the ring upon impact. Orton quickly went to the outside, grabbing Cody and tossing him back into the ring. He took too much time doing so, though, as Cody was able to get a shoulder up. Orton then began coiling for the RKO, locking his eyes on Cody as he staggered to his feet. When Cody turned around, Orton went for the RKO, but Cody pushed him away. Orton almost collided with the official, stopping himself before he could. During that, Cody caught Orton by surprise with the Disaster Kick, following that up with a second Cross Rhodes! Cody got the cover on Orton, this time getting the victory and fulfilling his dream. | Cody Rhodes is your NEW World Heavyweight Champion |
A sense of shock and awe came over the Staples Center as Cody sat on his knees, letting out a shout as he shed a few tears. The official handed Cody the World Heavyweight Championship, which he stared at endlessly. He then raised the title high in the air, finally achieving what he vowed to months ago. And he did it by defeating the one man who has haunted him his entire career. His former mentor, Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes had reached the mountain top on SmackDown as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Backstage, Brock Lesnar was shown arriving to the arena as the "Next Big Thing" prepares for his Unsanctioned Match with John Cena later on tonight. Lesnar was soon approached by Matt Striker, who asked for his thoughts on returning to in-ring action tonight. Lesnar said that he's feeling pretty damn good about himself for the fact that tonight, he will finally throw John Cena away like the piece of trash that he is. "And in the process, I will become the new face of the WWE." Lesnar then took his focus off of the interview, staring at something off camera. Suddenly, Kurt Angle stepped into the picture. "Brock, I wouldn't bet on tonight being your night. But what you can bet on is me, Kurt Angle, the only Olympic Gold Medalist in WWE history, showing the world why I am still the ass kicker that you claim to be," said Angle. Lesnar stared at the Olympic Gold Medalist for a bit, saying that they'll just have to wait until the end of the night to see who truly has the ideal return to pay-per-view.
Divas Championship Eve (c) vs. Natalya vs. AJ Lee vs. Kaitlyn | The bell sounded as all four Divas took a corner, glancing back at each other. AJ struck first, charging towards Kaitlyn. Natalya then ran towards Eve, hitting her with a few shots. AJ and Kaitlyn rolled out of the ring as Natalya repeatedly rammed her shoulder into the mid-section of Eve. The defending Divas Champion looked to be in trouble already as Natalya was looking to lock in the Sharpshooter. Eve was able to prevent it, kicking Natalya away as she rolled out of the ring. Kaitlyn attempted to Irish Whip AJ, but it was countered. As Kaitlyn was released, she hit Eve with a Clothesline. AJ charged towards Kaitlyn, but was hit with a Clothesline as well. Natalya then ran the ropes, hitting a Suicide Dive through the second rope and onto Kaitlyn. Natalya rolled her into the ring, looking to get the victory already. Kaitlyn managed to kick out at two. As Natalya was picking Kaitlyn up, AJ rolled into the ring. She delivered a few kicks to the side of Natalya's leg, one of which was caught. AJ was then able to find her way out of the predicament, hitting Natalya with an Enziguri. AJ got the cover on Natalya, but Kaitlyn broke it up. Kaitlyn hit AJ with a few heavy forearm shots to her back, keeping the "Crazy Chick" on the mat. Kaitlyn kept an Armbar on AJ, keep the hold on until Natalya hit her with a Dropkick. Eve slid back into the ring, rolling Natalya up. AJ broke up the pin attempt by rolling Eve up by surprise. As AJ had the roll up in, Kaitlyn kicked her in her back. Kaitlyn lifted AJ up for a Gutbuster, but Eve delivered a knee to her lower back. From there, Eve attempted to hit a Neckbreaker onto Kaitlyn, but she managed to fight out of it. As the two traded blows back and forth, Natalya jumped towards them with a Double Clothesline. Eve backed into a corner, Natalya going after her. The daughter of the Anvil hit the Divas Champion with a multiple knife-edge chops before whipping her into the opposite corner. Natalya then charged towards Eve with an elbow. Kaitlyn was soon back on her feet as she hit Eve with a Spear in the corner that she remained in. And finally, AJ delivered a Running Dropkick to Eve as the Divas Champion crashed to the mat and slid out of the ring. AJ took a moment to stare at Eve, having gained a bit of retribution with the Dropkick moments ago. Things went south for AJ from there as Kaitlyn and Natalya planted her face-first with a double team Flapjack. Natalya then struck Kaitlyn with a heavy chop, to which the "Hybrid Diva" responded with one of her own. The two engaged in a chop battle for a bit before Natalya dodged one. She kicked Kaitlyn in the mid-section, planting her with a Northern Lights Suplex. Natalya was on the verge of becoming a two time Divas Champioon, but Kaitlyn managed to kick out. She then attempted to lock in a Sharpshooter, but Kaitlyn kicked her away. When Natalya bounced off of the ropes, Kaitlyn caught her with a thunderous Spear! AJ slid back into the ring as Kaitlyn shifted her focus to her. She went for anther Spear, but AJ jumped out of harm's way. Kaitlyn attempted to hit a Clothesline, but AJ ducked it and rolled her up. Kaitlyn was able to kick, but as she was on her knees, AJ responded quickly with a Shining Wizard! But before she could even get the cover, AJ was tossed out of the ring by Eve. She got the cover on Kaitlyn, stealing the victory and the championship. | Eve is STILL your Divas Champion |
Eve quickly rolled out of the ring as she was handed back her Divas Championship, heading up the entrance ramp. AJ Lee looked on at her in both anger and disappointment, knowing that she had the victory. But despite that, Eve has stolen yet another victory, and will be leaving SummerSlam with her Divas Championship still intact.
A promo was shown for Night of Champions, where every championship will be defended. Live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
Backstage, Josh Mathews was standing by with one of the participants in the next match, Daniel Bryan. A chorus of boos could be heard as Bryan stepped into the interview scene. Josh asked him if he feels confident heading into the upcoming Triple Threat match with Dean Ambrose and Kurt Angle. "Do I feel confident heading into my match tonight?" asked Bryan to himself as the Staples Center could be heard responding with "No!" Bryan lashed out at the fans, saying that they don't answer for him. "To answer your question, I am going into this match with the greatest amount of confidence possible. I already know that I'm a better wrestler than Ambrose and Angle. I know that I eat healthier and wiser than the both of them. I have better facial hair than them, or hair in general when it comes to Angle. But most of all, I have the world against me. And when the world is against, when the WWE Universe think they're getting under my skin, that's when I'm at my best. I'm gonna go out there and prove what I already know, and that is the fact that I am the best wrestler alive today." Bryan then asked the WWE Universe if he is the best wrestler alive today. The audience responded with "No!" but Bryan repeatedly shouted "Yes! Yes! Yes!" as he left the interview scene.
Triple Threat Match Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Dean Ambrose | Prior to the start of the match, the Los Angeles roared with chants of "Angle!" Bryan tried to silence the WWE Universe by repeatedly shouting "No!," stalling the starting bell. When Bryan turned around, both Angle and Ambrose Clotheslined him over the top rope. With Bryan out momentarily, Angle and Ambrose circled around for a bit. Angle extended his hand out, which Ambrose accepted, but held on as he took the Olympic Gold Medalist down with an Armbar. Ambrose pulled back on his arm violently, but Angle managed to roll out of it. He then had an amateur wrestling mount on Ambrose, slapping both sides of his head a few times. Angle rolled off as Ambrose charged towards him, dodging a shot. He gripped his arms around Ambrose's waist, dropping the "Psychotic Superstar" with multiple German Suplexes. Ambrose was able to fight back with a few elbows to the side of Angle's head, releasing his hold. Ambrose rammed Angle into a corner, positioning himself on top of the second rope. Ambrose hit Angle with multiple right hand shots, even biting his forehead. As Ambrose was digging into Angle, Bryan climbed onto the ring apron and kick Ambrose on the top of his head with a kick. Ambrose crashed to the canvas as the dazed Angle stumbled into the center of the ring. Bryan ascended up to the top turnbuckle, waiting for both Ambrose and Angle to get to their feet. When they did so, Bryan came flying off with a Missile Dropkick. He covered Angle, who managed to kick out. Bryan then covered Ambrose, but was met with the same results. Bryan then tossed Ambrose to the outside of the ring, focusing solely on Angle. He attempted to lock in the Yes! Lock, but Angle was able to fight out of it. Bryan nearly found himself in the Ankle Lock, but he acted fast and rolled Angle away from him and out of the ring. As Angle stirred to his feet at ringside, Bryan delivered a Suicide Dive onto him. Both Bryan and Angle were down on the outside as Ambrose staggered to his feet. He ascended up to the top rope, stalking Angle and Bryan as they both go to their feet. Ambrose then leaped off of the top rope, crashing onto his two opponents. Ambrose looked to further damage Angle, tossing him into the steel steps. He then rolled Bryan back into the ring, getting the cover for the two count. Ambrose picked Bryan to his feet, hitting him with a Forearm. Bryan responded with a Forearm of his own as the two engaged in a war. Bryan poked Ambrose in the eye, gaining the unfair advantage as his next Forearm took him down. With Ambrose on his knees, Bryan hit him with multiple knees while shouting "Yes!" with every one. After hitting him with a final Roundhouse Kick, Bryan covered Ambrose. Once again, however, the resilience of Ambrose prevailed as he managed to kick out. Bryan brought Ambrose to his feet, whipping him into the opposite corner. He positioned Ambrose up on the top turnbuckle, climbing up as he looked to be going for a Back Suplex. Before Bryan could hit it, Angle ran onto the second turnbuckle, grabbing Bryan in position for a German Suplex, hitting it while Bryan hit the Back Suplex onto Ambrose! Angle pulled his straps down as he locked Bryan in the Ankle Lock. Bryan looked to be on the verge of submitting, but was able to reach the ropes. Angle, however, didn't care as he kept the hold locked in tight. Ambrose sneaked up behind Angle, grabbing his arms and placing him in position for the Vertebreaker. Angle was able to fight his way out of it, countering it into the Angle Slam. Angle got the cover on Ambrose, finally getting the victory in this war. | Kurt Angle defeats Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose |
The audience popped as Angle slowly stood to his feet, raising his arms in victory. Several highlights from the incredible bout was shown as the commentators put over the efforts from Bryan and Ambrose. But tonight, Kurt Angle celebrates his successful return to pay-per-view here in the WWE, and looks forward to many more victories down the road.
Backstage, Team Flair were shown in their locker room as they prepare for battle tonight in the name of Ric Flair's position as RAW General Manager. Team captain Wade Barrett took center stage, saying that he had something he wanted to get off of his chest. "My understanding is that not all of you trust me tonight as the captain of this team. Specifically you, Ryder," said Barrett, directing his comments towards Long Island Iced Z. Barrett approached Ryder, who stayed silent for a bit. Ryder then said that a few months ago, he saw first hand the animosity between he and Flair. "If you remember, Wade, you were supposed to defend your WWE Championship against me at No Way Out. And as we got closer to that event, you and Flair were butting heads. You both were at each other's neck, and I could tell that you had nothing but hatred for Flair. And now, I'm supposed to believe that you're here to help his cause?" asked Ryder. Barrett told Ryder that he better believe it. Otherwise, he'll slap the shades right off his face. The two then began arguing as Chris Jericho stepped in, becoming the voice of reason. "Zack, we understand where you're coming from. You have your issues with Wade and you don't trust him. But look at things from Wade's perspective. He doesn't like Flair. And just like you said, he may hate the man still. But Brad Maddox made an attempt on his career. Everything that Wade has sacrificed, leaving his home country, suffering an elbow injury. All of that was nearly flushed down the toilet when Barrett wrongfully stripped him of his WWE Title. Wade wants exactly what we want, and that's revenge against Maddox and his goons. So I suggest that just for tonight, we all get on the same page. Otherwise, Ric Flair's job is as good as gone." Following Jericho's speech, Ryder slowly backed away from Barrett, understanding Y2J's point of view.
Returning to the arena, the lights were dimmed as the steel cage structure slowly lowered to floor. Coming up next, two monster will do battle while locked inside of the structure. And for one of those monsters, his undefeated streak may see its finale here tonight at SummerSlam.
Steel Cage Match Kane vs. Ryback | The officials locked the door to the Steel Cage structure as both Ryback and Kane stared holes through one another. The bell sounded as the two monsters locked up, not letting the other win the test of strength. Ryback was able to lift Kane off of his feet, driving him into a corner. He rammed his shoulder repeatedly as Kane tried to fight back with shots to his back, but was unsuccessful. Ryback whipped Kane into the opposite corner, charging towards him. Kane managed to lift his boot up in time, fending off Ryback. The Big Red Monster ascended up to the top turnbuckle, waiting for the undefeated monster to turn around. When Ryback did so, Kane leaped off with a Flying Clothesline. He got the cover on Ryback, who was able to kick out. Kane placed Ryback in a corner, driving his elbow into the side of his head repeatedly. The Big Red Monster then proceeded to throw Ryback front-first into one of the cage walls. He threw him into another one, getting the upper hand for a bit. Kane hit the dazed Ryback with one uppercut, following that up with another. Kane then ran the ropes, looking to hit a Clothesline. However, Ryback managed to counter it, grabbing Kane and hitting an Overhead Slam into the cage wall. Kane was down and out as Ryback got the cover on him, but only a two count. Ryback waited near a corner, getting his arm ready for the Meathook Clothesline. He charged towards Kane with it, but was caught by his throat and planted with a Chokeslam. Kane got the cover on Ryback, but somehow, not the three count. Kane angrily stood up, picking Ryback up to his feet as well. He looked to be going for a Tombstone, but Ryback was able to slide out of it. He then pushed Kane towards the steel wall, but the Big Red Monster managed to stop himself. When Kane turned around, Ryback speared him into the wall. Kane held his ribs as Ryback lifted him up for Shell Shocked. The undefeated monster may have taken a bit too much time marching around as Kane slid free. While still holding his ribs, Kane attempted a Big Boot, but missed. Ryback then caught him with a huge Meathook Clothesline, shouting "Finish him!" As Ryback was lifting him up, Kane grasped his throat. The Big Red Monster kept his grip on Ryback's throat, trying to choke the life out of him. Ryback tried to fight back, the Staples Center thoroughly behind him as they roared with chants of "Feed me more!" The chants didn't prevail, however, as Ryback faded out of consciousness. With Ryback down, Kane headed to the cage door, shouting for it to be opened. Rather than stepping out of the cage, Kane grabbed the door and ripped it from its hinges. He placed the door on the canvas, lifting Ryback up to his feet. Kane grabbed Ryback by the throat once again, looking to hit a Chokeslam onto the steel door. As he was attempting it, Ryback freed himself from Kane's grip. He kicked Kane in the mid section, hosting him up to his shoulders. After marching around for a second, Ryback planted Kane with Shell Shocked onto the steel door! Ryback got the cover, getting the three count and remaining undefeated. | Ryback defeats Kane |
The audience popped for Ryback as he stood to his feet, raising his arms in victory as his undefeated streak remains intact. A replay of the finish was shown, cutting back to the live feed as Kane remained motionless on top of the steel door. Ryback scaled to the top of the cage, overseeing the WWE Universe in Los Angeles as he shouted "Feed me more!"
A special video package was shown for the WWE's anti bullying campaign, Be A Star, set to the tune of Kevin Rudolf's "Don't Give Up".
Backstage, new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes was shown walking around as he flaunted his newly won title. Cody soon stopped, staring at something off camera. The camera panned out to reveal WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler. The two champions stared at one another, Ziggler soon breaking the silence. "It's about time that the WWE had two time champions who both deserved to be where they're at. You and I have been busting our asses for years, and were never given a fair opportunity by anyone. The fans, staff, fellow employees, they all looked down on us. They said that we would never amount to anything, and look at us now. We're standing here with the WWE's two most prized possessions." Cody smirked, telling Ziggler that he did his part tonight, now it's his turn to go out and defeat CM Punk.
Returning to to ringside, Michael Cole stated that it's almost ironic how when one superstar reaches the top of the mountain on SmackDown, another superstar will step down because coming up next, it is the final match in the illustrious career of Rey Mysterio. A video package was shown for the match, "Unity" by Shinedown playing throughout it. After suffering a severe back injury at No Way Out, Mysterio announced his retirement on a live edition of SmackDown. Sin Cara made his way down to the ring, telling Mysterio that if he's going out, he has to go out the right way, challenging him to one final match at SummerSlam. Mysterio accepted the challenge, setting the date for the final time that he will step into a ring to compete.
Mysterio's Farewell Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara | Before the opening bell, the Staples Center roared with "Thank you, Rey" chants as Mysterio could be seen tearing up, knowing that this would be the final time he competes in front of the WWE Universe. The bell sounded as he and Sin Cara circled the ring for a better, shaking hands. The two charged towards one another, Sin Cara going behind Mysterio. He twisted his arm a bit, trying to Rey down. Mysterio then ran to the turnbuckles, bouncing his legs off of the top rope as he managed to turn Cara's arm hold on him. Mysterio rolled Cara onto the canvas, dropping his leg onto his arm. Mysterio pulled on his arm for a bit, Cara soon rolling out of it and getting a roll up. Mysterio managed to kick out, rushing towards Cara once on his feet. Cara responded quickly by tossing Mysterio with an Arm Drag. At that point, Mysterio took a small breather, perhaps not able to recall the last time he competed against someone with a style incredibly similar to his. Mysterio charged towards Cara again, who hit another Arm Drag. This time, Mysterio was able to land on his feet as he leaped onto the second turnbuckle, springboarding from the top and hitting a Crossbody onto Cara. Mysterio had the cover, but only managed to score a two count. With Cara down momentarily, Mysterio headed out to the ring apron for a Seated Senton. Cara managed to dodge out of harm's way, causing Mysterio to crash bottom-first onto the canvas. Cara delivered a kick to Mysterio's back, following that up with a running Dropkick. When Cara got the cover and the hook of the leg, Mysterio was able to kick out. Mysterio backed into a corner as Cara ran at him, delivering a Monkey Flip. However, Mysterio managed to land on his feet. When Cara ran towards him again, Mysterio was able to fend him off with a kick to the mid-section. Sin Cara dropped to his knees as Mysterio hit him with a huge Roundhouse Kick. Mysterio got the cover, but Cara was able to kick out before the count of three. Mysterio lifted Cara up to his feet, standing him in the center of the ring as he ran the ropes. Mysterio attempted a Wheelbarrow Bulldog, but Cara was able to toss him over his head. Mysterio landed on his feet, but Cara hit him with a few elbows to both sides of his head. Mysterio fell back onto the ropes as Cara delivered a Dropkick that sent him to the outside. As Mysterio stirred to his feet, Cara leaped onto the turnbuckle, coming down onto Mysterio on the outside. Sin Cara rolled Mysterio back into the ring, covering him for a count of two. Cara then quickly attempted a Springboard Moonsault, but Mysterio was able to move out of harm's way. After Cara landed on the canvas, he held his stomach for a bit before charging towards Mysterio. The "Master of the 619" was able to deliver a Hurricarana to Cara that sent him flying out of the ring. Mysterio went to the outside as well, climbing onto the barricade. He then ran on the barricade, leaping off with a Seated Senton to Sin Cara. Mysterio tossed Cara back into the ring, not instantly going for the cover. Instead, Mysterio ascended to the top rope. He pointed up to the sky, shaking his shoulders in honor of the late great Eddie Guerrero. Mysterio came down with a Frog Splash, but Sin Cara got his knees up in time. With Mysterio down, Cara went out to the ring apron and delivered a Springboard Senton. He hooked the inside of leg of Mysterio, but wasn't able to claim the victory. Cara lifted Mysterio up to his feet, looking to be going for a Tiger Driver as he hooked his arms in position. As Cara was attempting to hit it, Mysterio counted it into a Hurricarana that sent him flying into position for the 619. The audience stood to their feet as Mysterio hit it, along with the Follow Up Splash. Somehow, Sin Cara managed to kick out. Mysterio was in shock as he couldn't believe that Cara kicked out of the 619. Not sure what else to do, Mysterio placed Sin Cara back into 619 position. This time, Cara was able to dodge it, springboarding off of the second rope and hitting an Inverted DDT. Once again, Mysterio was able to kick out of the pinning predicament. Cara picked Mysterio up, going for his patented Tilt-A-Whirl Armbar. Mysterio held on to Cara's legs, not allowing him to complete the maneuver. He slammed Cara front-first onto the canvas, turning it into a pinning predicament. Sin Cara managed to kick out once again. Mysterio headed out to the ring apron, patiently waiting for Cara to get to his feet. Once he did so, Mysterio delivered a Springboard Kick to Cara's back, sending him into the ropes. Mysterio hit the 619 once again, but didn't go for the Splash. Instead, he decided to turn back time a bit, looking for the Hurricarana into a pin. As Mysterio was going for it, Sin Cara managed to add an extra flip as he Powerbombed the "Master of the 619" onto the canvas. Mysterio's shoulders were down as Cara covered him, finally getting the three count. | Sin Cara defeats Rey Mysterio |
The Staples Center didn't know how to react as there were a few cheers, but mostly silence. Sin Cara stood to his feet and raised his arms, but didn't celebrate his victory. Rey Mysterio slowly got to his knees, once again in tears. Not because he lost, but because it's now all over. His 13-year long career has come to an end here tonight at SummerSlam. Cara extended his hand out to Mysterio, helping him up to his feet. The two masked luchadores hugged in the center of the ring as the audience gave the two a standing ovation. Sin Cara left the ring, giving the floor to Mysterio. He observed the audience as they once again chanted "Thank you, Rey!" repeatedly. Mysterio took the time to say goodbye to everyone at ringside, JBL even in tears as he and Mysterio shared a hug. He thanked everyone in the front row, making sure he didn't miss a single person. Finally, Mysterio greeted his family, turning to his children and telling them that "daddy's coming home." He made one final trip up the entrance ramp, staring back at the audience as he thanked them.
A "Don't Try This at Home" ad was shown at this time.
Backstage, John Cena was shown in his locker room as he prepares for his Unsanctioned Match tonight against the returning Brock Lesnar. Matt Striker soon walked into the room, asking Cena for his thoughts on Lesnar's words from earlier tonight. Cena said that what he has to say tonight is no different than what he's been saying for the past couple of weeks now. "I didn't get to where I am today because Brock Lesnar 'allowed' me to. And if Brock still believes that, I'll gladly beat the truth into him. And as for being the face of the WWE, its kind of hard to be the face of a company that you're not loyal to. I know that as soon as I beat Lesnar tonight, he'll be right out of the door. I love this company, I've always loved it, and tonight, I fight for it," said Cena. Suddenly, John Laurinaitis walked into the room. He told Cena that he couldn't agree with him anymore, extending his hand out. Cena was incredibly hesitant to accept the handshake, aware of what Laurinaitis said on Monday. "I can see right through you, Johnny. Last Monday on RAW, you said that the person who costed you your job needs to watch their back. Come on, Johnny. None of us are stupid. We all know that you're referring to me. And I guarantee that if you get in my way tonight, I will make you regret ever kissing Mr. McMahon's ass again to get your job back." Cena angrily left the room as Laurinaitis looked on at him, appearing to be shocked at his comments.
Returning to the Staples Center, the theme of Bray Wyatt hit as he made his way out to the stage, where there was a tub of water. Wyatt told the audience to hold their tears because the time has not come to shed emotion. "You all have the pleasure of witnessing God's greatest creation - birth. The birth of a new breed. The birth of a soul, once lost that has found its way into the promise land. The birth of my new child. The second 'Child of Wyatt' awaits his arrival as he will descend from purgatory." Wyatt then asked for Brodus Clay to bring along with him his "unborn child." A few seconds later, Brodus made his way out to the stage with the crate that he was once contained in. Wyatt slowly opened the lid of the crate, asking for Brodus to take the rest from there. Brodus then pulled Tensai out of the crate. Tensai had his hands tied and mouth taped as Wyatt and Brodus stared down at him. Wyatt picked Tensai up to his knees, approaching the tub of water. "And as I say it will, let it be! Cleanse the dusty soul of this lost child! Free him from earth's horrors and allow him to enter the kingdom that which I rule! Free him!" shouted Wyatt as he shoved Tensai's head into the tub of water. Tensai could be seen struggling as Wyatt kept his head in for a few more seconds before finally pulling him out. Tensai was drenched in water as Wyatt removed the tape from his mouth and Brodus Clay untied his arms. Tensai did not initially respond, but soon began kneeling at Bray Wyatt's feet. Wyatt let out a sinister laugh as Tensai continued to bow to him, officially becoming the second "Child of Wyatt."
Backstage, Ric Flair was shown in his locker room with the five men who are about to do battle on his behalf. Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, and Wade Barrett. Flair told the five of them that they're about to go to war, and he hopes that there isn't any "friendly fire" out there. "I would be lying if I said that I didn't see the tension among some of you guys. But tonight, put those differences aside. Because this night is not about proving that you're better than anyone else. It's about making sure that RAW doesn't fall into the hands of someone like Brad Maddox. So I'm only asking for one thing from your guys - your best. Because I know that your best is good enough to win." Flair patted each of his teammates on the back as they headed out of the door before following them.
Cutting to another camera, Brad Maddox was shown walking down a corridor with his team comprised of Roman Reigns, Ted DiBiase, Joe Hennig, Mark Henry, and The Miz. A graphic was then shown for the Elimination Match before heading to a video package. After Extreme Rules, Ric Flair was named the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW. A few weeks later, he appointed then-janitor Brad Maddox to the position of Co-General Manager. At No Way Out, after setting a plan in motion, Maddox showed his true colors as he assisted The Miz in winning the vacant WWE Champion, which was formerly held by Wade Barrett. Flair would return to RAW the following week, challenging the betraying Maddox to a fight. During their altercation, Roman Reigns made his debut by attacking Flair. The Nature Boy would spend a few weeks at home recovering from his injuries, while as huge piece of information came to light. Wade Barrett's injuries were not as severe as once thought, and didn't need to be stripped of the WWE Title at all. Brad Maddox knew of this, but stripped him of the title anyways to get the gold around the waist of The Miz. Flair made his return at RAW 1000 as he and Maddox were evaluated by Mr. McMahon. A decision was then made to have a 5-on-5 Elimination Match at SummerSlam, with the winner being named the sole General Manager of RAW.
Elimination Match for RAW General Manager Position Team Maddox (The Miz, Roman Reigns, WWE Tag Team Champions Wrestling Royalty, and Mark Henry) vs. Team Flair (Wade Barrett, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Zack Ryder, and Kofi Kingston) | After both teams huddled up, they decided on Wade Barrett and Roman Reigns starting off. The bell sounded as the two big men collided in the center of the ring. Both traded blows as Barrett's bare knuckle fighting background gave him the advantage. He pushed Reigns into a corner, pounding on him with multiple closed fists. The official backed Barrett away, who complied before charging towards Reigns again. Barrett made the tag to Chris Jericho, who took Reigns down with a Hammer Fist from the second turnbuckle. Jericho covered Reigns, but he quickly kicked out, Jericho went back on the attack, stomping on Reigns for a bit before locking in a Headlock. Reigns managed to fight out of it, hitting a few elbows to the mid section before a headbutt. Reigns threw Jericho shoulder first into a steel ring post before tagging in Maddox's team captain, The Miz. The "Awesome One" brought Jericho closer to the center of the ring, hitting his Neckbreaker combination. Miz got the cover, but Jericho was able to kick out at two. Miz tried to lift Jericho up to his feet, but Y2J retaliated with a few elbows, followed by an Enziguri. Jericho made the tag to Kofi Kingston, while Miz tagged in Mark Henry. The fearless Kofi jumped towards Henry, trying to take him down with shots to his back. Henry was able to push Kofi away, hitting him with a Clothesline. Henry then attempted a Running Splash, but Kofi moved out of harm's way. With Henry down on the mat, Kofi attempted the Boom Drop. He successfully hit it, but it had little to no effect as Henry was quickly able to kick out. As Henry stirred to his feet, Kofi hit him with Trouble In Paradise. The "World's Strongest Man" did not go down, but was stumbling on his feet. Kofi then went out to the ring apron, looking to hit a Springboard Crossbody. Unfortunately for Kofi, Henry caught him and planted him with the World's Strongest Slam, covering him to get the the first elimination. Kofi Kingston is eliminated. Henry let out a shout as he challenged anyone from Team Flair to step up to him. The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, accepted the challenge, meeting Henry face to face. The two men who met at least year's SummerSlam exchanged a few words before Sheamus shoved away Henry's face. They then began trading blows, neither man going down. Sheamus soon had the advantage, getting Henry to his knees. Sheamus then began hitting Henry with forearm shots to his chest as the audience counted with every strike. Sheamus prepared for a Brogue Kick, but Henry made the tag to Ted DiBiase. One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions stepped into the ring, going right after Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior attempted a Brogue Kick, but DiBiase dodged it and struck Sheamus behind his knee. DiBiase continued to target the knee, hoping to eliminate Sheamus' deadly weapon from his arsenal. In an attempt to mock Ric Flair, DiBiase tried to lock in the Figure Four Leg Lock. Sheamus was able to use his good leg to kick DiBiase away, hitting him with a leaping Shoulder Block on the rebound. Sheamus then hit DiBiase with a Scoop Slam, covering him for a two count. Sheamus lifted DiBiase up, going for White Noise, but his bad leg caught up to him as DiBiase managed to slide off. DiBiase went for a Clothesline, but Sheamus dodged it and used his good leg to hit a Brogue Kick! Sheamus covered DiBiase to score the first elimination for Team Flair. Ted DiBiase is eliminated.
Following DiBiase's elimination, his tag team partner Joe Hennig quickly rushed into the ring. Hennig prevented Sheamus from making the tag to one of his teammates, targeting the leg that DiBiase had worked on. Hennig struck the knee with a few elbows, bending it sideways. Sheamus struggled as Hennig pulled him into the center of the ring by his bad leg. He covered Sheamus, but couldn't eliminate him. Hennig then placed Sheamus in a corner, delivering a few Knife Edge Chops while glancing over at Ric Flair. Hennig whipped Sheamus into the opposite corner, charging towards him. The "Celtic Warrior" got his good leg up, fending off Hennig. Sheamus climbed to the second turnbuckle, leaping off with a Shoulder Block. He got the cover on Hennig, but it was unsuccessful. Sheamus then made the tag to Zack Ryder to buy himself some healing time. Ryder delivered a few Dropkicks to Hennig before planting him with a Flapjack. He covered Hennig, who managed to once again kick out. Ryder attempted a Suplex, but Hennig fought out of it before making the tag to The Miz. Miz ran into the ring, but missed a Clothesline. Ryder answered back by hitting a Russian Leg Sweep. Miz backed into a corner as Ryder struck him with repeated shots until he fell onto the canvas. Ryder backed away, fist pumping with the Staples Center as he prepared for the Broski Boot. However, Brad Maddox held on to Ryder's leg. Ryder took a bit of time to lash out at Maddox, who ran away from his position as he noticed Flair walking towards him. The distraction worked as Miz caught Ryder in position for the Skull Crushing Finale, hitting it to eliminate him. Zack Ryder is eliminated. As Miz gets to his feet, Sheamus heads back into the ring. He tackled Miz into a corner, ramming his shoulder into him a few times. The leg of Sheamus looked to be healed a bit as he was on fire here, tossing Miz with an overhead slam. Miz tried to call towards his corner, but Sheamus pulled him back in. After hitting White Noise, the "Celtic Warrior" backed into his corner as he pounded his chest repeatedly while shouting "Brogue!" He missed the Brogue Kick, allowing Miz to kick him behind his bad leg. Sheamus went down once again as Miz drove his knee into Sheamus' bad leg, working over it again. Miz pulled Sheamus into the center of the ring, staring at Flair and shouting "Woo!" Miz then locked Sheamus in the Figure Four Leg Lock, mocking the "Nature Boy" Sheamus struggled, but soon managed to reach the bottom rope. Following that, Miz made the tag to Mark Henry to finish off Sheamus. Henry approached the "Celtic Warrior," who stirred to his feet. He delivered a slap across the face of Henry, then quickly attempting the White Noise. Sheamus' bad leg wouldn't allow it as Henry planted him with the World's Strongest Slam to get the elimination. Sheamus is eliminated.
Ric Flair's worst nightmare may have came true as his team was now in a 2-on-4 situation, and it was all up to Wade Barrett and Chris Jericho to save his job. Barrett went into the ring as Henry teased going against the English Brawler, but made the tag to Joe Hennig. The former NXT rookies collided as Hennig kept Barrett in a rest hold for a bit. Barrett fought out of it, planting Hennig with a Sidewalk Slam. When Barrett got the cover, Hennig managed to kick out at two. Barrett placed Hennig in a corner, driving his elbow into his head a few times. Barrett brought Hennig out of the corner, hoisting him up to his shoulders for Wasteland. Hennig managed to fight out of it, now looking for the Perfect Plex. Barrett was able to use his strength to his advantage, using his weight to keep Hennig from lifting him up. Barrett rolled up Hennig in a small package, unable to get the three count. The two were quickly back on their feet, but Barrett was able to hit Hennig with the Winds of Change. Barrett then made the tag to Jericho, who hit Hennig with a Lionsault to get the elimination. Joe Hennig is eliminated. Jericho was barely given enough time to get to his feet as he was almost instantly bulldozed by Mark Henry. The "World's Strongest Man" lifted Jericho up in a Gorilla Press position, allowing him to drop front-first onto the canvas. Henry pulled Jericho closer to a corner, stepping onto the first rope. Henry attempted to Splash onto Jericho, but Y2J managed to move out of harm's way. Henry got to his feet as Jericho hit him with a Codebreaker! Henry remained on his feet as Jericho hit another Codebreaker, that one getting the job done now. Y2J then hit a Lionsault on Mark Henry, covering him. However, Henry still managed to kick out. Jericho himself was stunned as he threw everything he had at Henry, yet he still managed to kick out. Henry slowly stirred to his feet as Jericho hit him with an Enziguri. Henry crashed to the mat, but still managed to tag in Roman Reigns. Reigns rushed into the ring, hitting Jericho with a Spear to get the next elimination. Chris Jericho is eliminated.
This was it. Wade Barrett was all alone on Team Flair as The Miz, Mark Henry, and Roman Reigns still stood in his way. If Barrett wanted to defeated Team Maddox and prove his loyalty, he would have to overcome three other men on his own. Barrett stepped into the ring, dodging a shot from Reigns. Barrett hit him with a few right hand shots, backing him into a corner. From there, Barrett positioned Reigns on the top turnbuckle. Barrett then used his strength to toss Reigns down onto his back, getting the cover for a two count. Barrett picked Reigns up by his hair, attempting to hit Wasteland. He failed as Reigns slid off of his shoulders, planting him with a Spinebuster. Reigns prepared to hit Barrett with a Spear, going for it and missing as his shoulder collided with the steel ring post. Barrett then rolled up Reigns, managing to get the three count. Roman Reigns is eliminated. The audience popped for Barrett as he seemed to be in control of what looked to be an improbable situation, but still had two men to defeat. Mark Henry stepped into the ring, ramming Barrett into a corner. Barrett was now barely standing under his own power as Henry placed him in a Bearhug. Henry attempted to squeeze the life out of Barrett, almost being successful. However, Barrett managed to find a burst of energy as he delivered a few Headbutts to Henry, eventually freeing himself. Barrett ran the ropes, hitting Henry with a huge Big Boot that took the "World's Strongest Man" off of his feet. Barrett covered Henry, but only scored a two count. Barrett lifted Henry up to his feet, clearly struggling to do so. He attempted another Big Boot, but Henry caught him in position for the World's Strongest Slam. Barrett somehow managed to fight out of it, attempting to pick up Henry for Wasteland. Barrett's back seemed to have given out as he failed to do so and backed into a corner. Henry charged towards Barrett, but the English Brawler moved out of the way as Henry's chest collided with the top turnbuckle. With Henry stunned, Barrett managed to lift the "World's Strongest Man" up to his shoulders for Wasteland! The Staples Center erupted as Barrett covered Henry to eliminate him! Mark Henry is eliminated.
The Miz and Brad Maddox both looked as if they had seen a ghost, and they very well may have. And the ghost's name is Wade Barrett as he has managed to overcome improbably odds and is now all alone with The Miz as the survivors for their teams. Barrett grabbed Miz, bringing him into the ring as the audience continued to roar with excitement for the Bare Knuckle Fighter. He hit Miz with multiple body and head shots, backing him into a corner. Barrett unloaded on Miz, soon lifting him up for Wasteland, Miz slid off of his shoulders, going for the Skull Crushing Finale. Barrett fought out of it with an elbow to Miz's head, backing him away. After Miz rebounded off of the ropes, Barrett hoisted him up for Wasteland and hit it! But before the official could count three, Maddox pulled him out of the ring. Barrett was livid as he had the match won, but Maddox wouldn't allow him to. However, Ric Flair had something to say about that as he approached Maddox, striking him! Flair then locked Maddox in the Figure Four Leg Lock at ringside! Maddox screamed in agonizing pain as the official turn his attention to the scuffle, trying to break it up. In the ring, Wade Barrett and The Miz remained, but someone else had suddenly enter the equation. When Barrett turned around, he was struck with a chair shot from John Laurinaitis! The entire arena looked on in shock as Laurinaitis stared down at Barrett before leaving the ring with the chair that he used. The announce team were left speechless as Laurinaitis left through the audience, Miz crawling towards Barrett. He placed one arm over his chest, the official heading back into the ring to make the final three count. Wade Barrett is eliminated. | Brad Maddox is the NEW General Manager of RAW |
Silence came over the arena as Flair released the Figure Four that he had on Maddox, hearing The Miz's theme play and realizing that the match was over, and that he had failed. Miz rolled out of the ring, trying to regain complete consciousness while assisting Maddox up the entrance ramp. Wade Barrett remained down in the ring from the chair shot from John Laurinaitis. Wrestling Royalty, Roman Reigns, and Mark Henry all made their way out to the stage as they lifted Miz and Miz up to their shoulders, celebrating their victory. Brad Maddox is officially the new General Manager of RAW, and it's all thanks to John Laurinaitis. Wade Barrett stuck his head out of the bottom rope, staring at Flair as he stated "I'm sorry." Barrett proved his loyalty to Team Flair and endured hell to attempt to win, but in the end, Laurinaitis stole the victory from him. Buy why? Why did Laurinaitis screw Wade Barrett and Ric Flair out of the victory? Team Maddox continued to celebrate on the stage, and there's no doubt that the celebration will carry over to RAW tomorrow as Maddox is now in control of the WWE's flag ship show.

A special video package was shown to highlight the festivities this past weekend at SummerSlam Axxess, where Superstars and Divas had the opportunity to meet and greet with fans.
Returning to the Staples Center, the commentary unit were shown still in a state of shock over what had just transpired. Brad Maddox is now the new General Manager of RAW. And it's not courtesy of what Team Maddox did or what Team Flair didn't do. It's all thanks to John Laurinaitis who, for some reason, screwed over Wade Barrett. "Johnny always said that he would get revenge on the man who costed him his job, but what did Wade Barrett ever do to him?" asked JBL. The commentators then tried to move on because coming up next, the WWE Championship is on the line. And this bout is a rarity as the title can change hands on either a disqualification or a count out.
WWE Championship Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. CM Punk | Prior to the opening bell, the audience roared with "CM Punk" chants, who was sporting gear inspired by Bret "The Hitman" Hart. The bell sounded as Ziggler went behind Punk, locking his arms around his waist and trying to take him down. Punk fought out of it, now locking his arms around Ziggler's waist and hitting a German Suplex into a pinning predicament. Ziggler managed to quickly kick out before three. Ziggler crawled into a corner, where Punk charged at him with his knee crashing into his chest. Punk stomped away on Ziggler for a bit before bringing him back into the center of the ring for the cover. Again, Ziggler managed to kick out. Punk placed Ziggler against the corner, striking him with a repeated elbow/chop combination. Punk then placed Ziggler on the top turnbuckle, slowly climbing with him. Ziggler retaliated, hitting Punk with a few body shots. Ziggler than plated Punk with a Tornado DDT, getting the cover for a two count. As Punk was getting to his feet, Ziggler hit him with a Dropkick. While Punk was down, Ziggler placed his knee against his back and pulled back in Punk's arms. The WWE Champion and resident "Show Off" kept the submission hold in for a bit longer before releasing Punk. Ziggler then hit multiple Elbow Drops, capping it off with one big drop. Ziggler got the cover, but not the victory as Punk managed to kick out. Ziggler stalked Punk as he got to his feet, going for another Dropkick. Punk dodged the Dropkick, catching Ziggler with a Roundhouse Kick. Punk then hoisted up the dazed WWE Champion for a Go To Sleep, but Ziggler grabbed the top rope and kept a tight grip on them. Punk was able to pry Ziggler away, but his attempt at a GTS was turned into a DDT. Ziggler draped his arm over Punk, but still couldn't get the victory. As Punk got his feet, Ziggler attempted to his the Fameasser. As Ziggler was going for it, Punk countered the maneuver into a Powerbomb. Punk then locked Ziggler in a Texas Cloverleaf. Ziggler struggled to reach the ropes, and looked as if he could submit at any moment. Fortunately for the "Show Off," he was able to reach the ropes. Punk released the hold, picking up Ziggler. Punk placed Ziggler on the top rope, heading up with him again. This time, Punk successfully hit the Superplex. He covered Ziggler, who was still able to kick out. Punk was ready to finish off Ziggler, placing him in position for the Go To Sleep. However, in the middle of the maneuver, Ziggler countered it into the Fameasser! Ziggler got the cover, but Punk somehow managed to kick out at two and a half. Ziggler became irate with Punk kicking out as he pulled on his hair and pounded on the mat. As Punk stumbled to his feet, Ziggler went for the Zig Zag again. Punk held onto the ropes as Ziggler released himself and crashed onto the official. After Ziggler got to his feet, Punk attempted to the Anaconda Vice. The "Show Off" managed to counter it, hitting a Zig Zag. Still, there was no official to make the count. Ziggler saw this as an opportunity to bend the rules as he went to ringside, grabbing the WWE Championship. Ziggler stalked Punk as he got to his feet, while keeping an eye on the official as he as stirring as well. Ziggler charged towards Punk with the title, but was lifted into position for the GTS. When the official was back on his feet, he noticed the title on the canvas. He began questioning Punk, who got into an argument with the official. As the title was being tossed out of the ring, Ziggler slid off of Punk's shoulders and hit him with a low blow! Ziggler than caught Punk with a Superkick, covering him as the official made the three count. | Dolph Ziggler is STILL your WWE Champion |
The audience expressed their displeasure for the finish as Ziggler rolled out of the ring, being handed back his WWE Championship. An argument came over the announce table as Ziggler did bend the rules, but still managed to get away with it without facing any consequences. "And since Brad Maddox is in charge now, he won't do a damn thing about this," said Booker T. Ziggler made his way up the entrance ramp, still the WWE Champion as Punk looked on with intense anger in his eyes.
Backstage, John Cena was shown in his locker room, putting on his dog tags as he kissed them before placing them in his shirt. Cena made his way out of the room, about to endure what may be his most brutal, grueling match yet.
Returning to ringside, a few of the celebrities who were in attendance tonight were shown. DJ Pauly D, David Arquette, and Fred Durst were all shown, with the latter giving the camera a nice hand gesture. The commentary unit then turned their attention to the main event coming up next. There are no rules and no liability for the WWE as it is an Unsanctioned Match. A video package was shown, set to the tune of "Cryin' Like A Bitch" by Godsmack. At RAW 1000, John Cena and The Rock were scheduled the have a confrontation. Cena's travel issues caused him to arrive late to the even, missing his opportunity to confront The Rock. However, someone else answered Cena's call. That being the returning Brock Lesnar. Lesnar immediately made a target out of Cena, planting him with an F-5. The following week, Lesnar made his intentions clear to the world - take out Cena and become the new face of the WWE. Cena would answer back, laying out the challenge for a match at SummerSlam. However, Mr. McMahon revealed that World Wrestling Entertainment did not feel comfortable sanctioning the match, giving Cena the chance to back out of it. Cena refused, allowing the match to be unsanctioned. Whatever happens tonight between Cena and Lesnar is on their hands and no one else's. And all hell is bound to break loose.
Unsanctioned Match Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena | Once the bell sounded, all liability was thrown out the window. The official cannot step in at all as World Wrestling Entertainment has nothing to do with this bout. And the official is only present to start the match and declare a winner. When the bell sounded, Lesnar immediately took Cena down, striking him with a multiple heavy shots. Cena tried to get his hands up, but the damage was already done. Cena was able to push Lesnar off of him, rolling out of the ring for a second. Cena's forehead was already spewing blood as Lesnar went after him. Cena stumbled to his feet by using the ring post, but Lesnar leaped off of the barricade and struck him. Lesnar then took the steel steps, tossing them into the ring. He rolled Cena back in, placing him in a corner. Lesnar rammed his shoulder into Cena's mid-section repeatedly, knocking every bit of wind out of him. Lesnar stood on the steel steps, letting all of the heat from the audience soak in. He may have taken a bit too much time, however, as Cena tackled him onto the steel steps, delivering a few heavy strikes of his own. At one point, Cena even grabbed Lesnar's head and rammed it into the steel step. Lesnar became dazed as he rolled out of the for a moment. Cena didn't allow him any time to regroup as he picked up the steel step, throwing it to the outside as it collided with Lesnar! Lesnar was motionless on the floor as blood poured from his forehead now. Cena struck Lesnar a few more times, trying to beat him at his own game. Cena searched under the ring, bringing out a steel chain. As he was wrapping the chain around his fist, Lesnar jumped towards him and rammed his lower back area into the ring apron. Lesnar did this repeatedly as Cena struck him a few times in the back with the chain, but Lesnar was able to overpower him. Lesnar grabbed Cena's head, ramming his open wound into the ring post. With Cena out, Lesnar looked under the ring himself, bringing out a table. He set it up on the outside, going back after Cena. In the ring, Cena lifted Lesnar up to his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment, but slid off. Lesnar then locked Cena in a Kimura, violently tugging on his arm. Cena was in an excruciating amount of pain, but nothing could be done about. Lesnar soon released the hold, laughing sadistically at Cena's pain. He stood up as Cena stirred to his feet. Cena threw one shot at Lesnar, not having much of an effect on him. Cena hit a few more shots, barely moving Lesnar. The "Next Big Thing" lifted Cena up, carelessly throwing him out of the ring and through the table! Cena was motionless once again and Lesnar was on top of the world. He went to the outside, picking Cena up and placing him against the ring post. Lesnar removed one of his gloves, using the other hand to keep Cena in place. Lesnar had the intentions of punching Cena with the back of his head against the ring post. However, Cena was able to move out the way as Lesnar's bare fist collided with the steel ring post. Lesnar held his hand as Cena went back on the attack, taking the steel chain and clocking Lesnar in the skull with it. One shot wasn't enough as Cena delivered three. He then tossed the steel steps back into the ring, his arm still bothering him. Cena rolled Lesnar back in. Cena went for an Attitude Adjustment, but his injured arm wouldn't allow him to. Lesnar took advantage of this, hosting Cena up and planting him with an F-5. Lesnar taunted Cena once again, allowing him to get to his feet. Cena did so, but Lesnar picked up the steel steps and rammed it into Cena's injured arm. Bones and ligaments in Cena's arm have to be broken and torn as Lesnar locked in the Kimura again, laying on the steel steps. Cena had no way out this time, and was left with two options. Either submit, or allow Brock Lesnar to break his arm. Cena tried to fight through it, but had no choice but to uncharacteristically submit. | Brock Lesnar defeats John Cena |
Following the math, Lesnar refused to let go of Cena's arm, hell bent on breaking it. Finally, Lesnar released the Kimuar as Cena had passed out due to the pain. Lesnar stood to his feet, covered in his blood and, possibly, Cena's blood as well. Cena remained motionless in the steps, hit blood dripping onto the metal. Lesnar stood tall in the ring, perhaps living up to his promise. The "Next Big Thing" just John Cena in absolutely grueling fashion, and may very well be the new face of the WWE.

I've given your diary a thorough read and I've been really enjoying it so far. Good call opening your Summerslam with the World Heavyweight Championship match but I'm still bummed out it's being used as a secondary title since the end of the brand split. Awesome match, I really visualized it. Super happy you're putting Cody as over as you are, hopefully his reign lasts. Lesnar vs. Cena really doesn't interest me for some reason but the build-ups been good. Good fatal four way, would've been happy with Natalya but Eve's the next best thing. You can't go wrong with a Bryan promo, awesome stuff. I hadn't read as far in as the Angle return so the Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Dean Ambrose match seems a bit out there but has a whole load of potential. Angle going over was the obvious choice but hopefully Bryan and Angle can feud for a bit. That's one of my dream feuds. Loving the choice of teams, I'm pulling for Maddox. I've never been fond of steel cage matches on pay-per-view but you've been building Ryback so well and the match'd surely be good. Good to see him go over, excited to see what you do with him next. Nice little moment with Ziggler and Rhodes. Man, the Mysterio/Sin Cara match had to be my favorite of the show. I was never a Sin Cara fan but I totally understand the passing of the torch, I'm just hoping he can break away from Mysterio's shadow. It's about time Mysterio headed out, there's not much more you can do with him nowadays. I'm going to be honest, I know who Bray Wyatt is but I've never seen him work so I had a tough time enjoying his promo but I'm sure glad you're putting together a stable. It's been too long since we've had a good one. Great five-man tag team match, I read the whole thing without peeking at the result. I have a bit of a tough time accepting a face Barrett but you seem to be handling him well. John Laurinaitis is a dick, hopefully you put him a huge career ending spot and we never see him again. Glad to see my boy Brad Maddox in the GM spot, there just isn't a better option. Predictable ending to the Ziggler/Punk match but I'm happy he kept the strap. Let Punk feud with a huge name without the burden of the belt. Aw man, Godsmack! I haven't heard this tune for years. I would've preferred you ended the event with the championship match but I'll let that slide. Good match between Brock and Cena, hopefully Brock doesn't slip into a title picture.
I was really looking forward to Summerslam and you delivered, my man. Awesome show.

SummerSlam Review
- YouTube pre-show saw Del Rio and Christian beat the team of Cesaro and Bourne, in a great match before the pay per view actually started and maybe now Del Rio could get another shot at being the WWE Intercontinental Championship by facing the WWE Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro in a 1 on 1 match with the title on the line, but maybe now Christian still being the WWE United States Champion he can finally rid himself of Evan Bourne and look towards defending his title against new competition
- Cody Rhodes does it, the son of the Dream does it, Rhodes is the new World Heavyweight Champion defeating his former Legacy teammate and mentor Randy Orton to open up the pay per view, it was such a great match-up definite match of the year candidate, I was literally in shock when Rhodes won this match-up to become the new World Heavyweight Champion especially after him winning the King of the Ring tournament earlier on in the year and then in the build-up towards SummerSlam, and everything else and it just finally paying off, but I don't see Cody's reign lasting long because Orton has his rematch clause and I can see him using that at Night of Champions the next pay per view which is right after SummerSlam, so Cody should spend these precious few moments with that title because at a moment's notice it could all be gone just like that because his days as World Heavyweight Champion are numbered, and even if Cody lasts past Night of Champions there is still the Hell in a Cell pay per view and Cody he's been in a Hell in a Cell match before but that was when he was in Legacy and they faced DX but if he ends up being in the Cell it will be the first time he is in there alone defending the title
- Brock Lesnar's interview backstage, I loved it and then out of nowhere Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle are face to face with one another backstage for nostalgia, definitely loved it since these 2 had quite the rivalry with one another back in the day back in 2002/03 and to see them come face to face with one another after all these years and the both of them being back in a WWE ring on the same night on the same pay per view, I love it
- Eve barely escapes this Fatal 4-Way Match with her WWE Divas Championship still in tact, pretty much taking the coward's way out in retaining her title but that begs the question that now that she has pretty much beaten every diva that there is to beat in the Divas division, it makes me wonder if anyone can beat her now for that WWE Divas Championship especially after beating Kaitlyn, Natalya and AJ
- Just gotta love Daniel Bryan's confidence in his interview before his match when he has to face both Kurt Angle and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match, but at the same time I feel that Bryan's luck is going to run out
- Kurt Angle in his pay per view return at SummerSlam wins by beating both Bryan and Ambrose, I wonder what's next for Kurt Angle? Perhaps the World Heavyweight Championship is on the horizon for Kurt but perhaps maybe even a feud with Brock Lesnar especially after the way you teased it backstage earlier on in the night, but as for Ambrose and Bryan, I wonder what is next for them?
- Team Flair backstage before their match against Team Maddox, they are arguing until Jericho being the voice of reason gets them all back on the same page, I love it but I have a funny feeling that I smell a rat in this match, that I just see the momentum shifting Team Maddox's way
- Ryback defeats Kane yet again to keep his undefeated streak in tact, I love it, love that you are keeping Ryback undefeated and his match with Kane inside the Steel Cage was so physical so brutal but yet it was back and forth all the way throughout and I actually thought that Kane was going to win it here but Ryback managing to find his way to victory, I love it because now Ryback he can consider himself done with Kane while Kane I don't know what is next for him to be honest
- Loved the new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes of Smackdown backstage coming face to face with the WWE Champion from RAW, Dolph Ziggler and the champions coming face to face but then breaking the tension and Rhodes pretty much telling Ziggler that now it is his turn to go out there and steal the show by beating Punk to retain his title, but Ziggler also congratulating Cody was great too, these 2 on top of the mountain I honestly never thought that I would see that happen
- Rey Mysterio's career is over, I honestly have no words to describe this feeling that I am feeling right now, shock but at the same time sadness that Rey is going to retire but if he had to go out I am glad that he went out on a high because this match for me by far has gotta be Match of the Night, so emotional and just so heart-wrenching but it also being exciting too at the same time because of the high-flying spots and counter after counter everything right down to the end until Sin Cara had to put Rey down, it was awesome, now Rey after this performance he definitely has my vote for the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame class especially as its headliner because Rey has the credentials for the Hall of Fame being a former IC Champion, former WWE Tag Team Champion, former World Heavyweight Champion, former WWE Champion, 2006 Royal Rumble Match winner, literally he did it all and now Sin Cara can have Rey's spot as the new Ultimate Underdog of the company
- Loved Cena backstage with Big Johnny and Cena pretty much telling Laurinaitis that he sees right through him and that the superstar he was referring to was Cena and that Cena is going to make him eat his words, I for one would love to see Cena try especially since he has to face Lesnar in the main event
- Tensai is the "second child" of Bray Wyatt definitely makes sense, and it seems Wyatt is forming quite the team first Clay and now Tensai, I wonder who will be the "third child" if there ends up being one, forming quite the church saving Clay and now going to save Tensai
- Backstage both Team Flair and Team Maddox are with their respective teams preparing for their match later on tonight, I can't wait
- If it wasn't for Big Johnny, Brad Maddox wouldn't even be the RAW GM right now, Team Flair had the match won but if it wasn't for John Laurinaitis costing Barrett the victory, Flair would be the RAW GM right now but that isn't even the story right now, the bigger story is why would Big Johnny get involved in this match-up costing Team Flair the victory pretty much giving Team Maddox the victory? Now we have Maddox in charge of RAW, this is just great, he is obviously going to abuse his power as RAW GM, like we can all see it coming, hell I would rather have Big Johnny back in charge of RAW than Maddox at this point, HELL I AM GOING TO START MY CAMPAIGN RIGHT NOW, JOHN LAURINAITIS AS RAW GM AGAIN, PLEASE MAKE THAT HAPPEN, HELL I WOULD TAKE ANYONE OVER BRAD MADDOX!!!!!!!
- Dolph Ziggler retaining the WWE Championship in a great match, I loved it, cheating his way to victory by hitting a low blow with the referee distracted hitting the Superkick to pin Punk 1..2..3 to retain the title after he countered his way out of the GTS, finding a way to win, it is smart, I loved it, now it is another time that Ziggler has beaten Punk to retain the WWE Championship, so I wonder what now?
- Loved the celebrities in attendance for SummerSlam since it is in Hollywood, in L.A., makes perfect sense for all the stars to be out for SummerSlam watching this pay per view
- Lesnar in his pay per view return in the main event beats Cena, I loved it, Lesnar making Cena tap to the Kimura Lock, Cena is all about "Never Give Up", well Cena gave up, he tapped out, Cena tapped out, I honestly thought that I would never see the day where Cena would quit by tapping out and he has but realistically Cena had no choice but to since he was caught in the Kimura Lock, it was either that or have his arm broken by Lesnar
- But what I loved even more was that Lesnar still had the Kimura Lock locked in on Cena until Cena passed out from the blood loss passing out from the pain altogether and now Lesnar if anything he has beyond a shadow of a doubt proven to me exactly why he is or why he should be the new face of the WWE while Cena he can fade into obscurity but now I wonder what's next for Cena? What's next for Lesnar?

- What a poster for Night of Champions showcasing both the new World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes of Smackdown and the WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, I love it because of the fact that these 2 men are on top but it won't be for long because these men their title reigns will both be cut short but it all depends on just who their opponents are at the pay per view but at the same time I can't wait for Night of Champions because I want to see the build-up in terms of the matches because if it is anything like SummerSlam I am sure this pay per view will rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent choice for the opening contest in this jam packed event, and glad to see Cody Rhodes taking home the gold. Really nice little segment with Lesnar being interrupted by Angle, and now that I think about it... You sneaky bastard. Glad you put multiple divas in the match. Not because it makes it more competitive. Because that means more hotness. Kidding. Sort of. I think it was kind of obvious that Angle was going to win, and I'm glad he did. Next up, a steel cage match that in all honesty seems kind of the second most boring match on the card. Not that it is terrible, but y'know. Anyway, Ryback getting the win over Kane is huge and I like the addition of the steel cage door. A grand match between Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio with a fitting ending for the career of Rey. I'm anticipating he will be in the Hall of Fame. The whole thing with Bray Wyatt just creeps me out. It is so... I don't even know. Interesting ending to the huge tag team match with Big Johnny screwing Flair and Barrett. I like how you pointed out the loyalty Wade showed, but couldn't execute. Wonder what will happen next. Ziggler retaining the WWE Championship over CM Punk makes the most sense, and I really hope he gets a long reign with the belt. Lastly, a terribly brutal match between Lesnar and Cena. Obvious that Brock was going to win this, and I love how Cena was forced to tap and making Lesnar look even stronger. Grand show, my diglet.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Tonight's show opened up with a video package recapping some of the major events from last night's SummerSlam pay-per-view. In the 5-on-5 Elimination Match, it was a chair shot to Wade Barrett from John Laurinaitis that solidified the victory for Team Maddox, thus making Brad the sole General Manager of Monday Night RAW. WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler found a way to bend the stipulation that was put in place, delivering a low blow to CM Punk behind the referee's back to steal the victory and keep his title intact. And in one of the most brutal matches in recent memory, Brock Lesnar delivered on his promise to become the new face of the WWE by beating John Cena to a bloody pulp, leaving him for dead in the ring. Despite numerous injuries, Cena is here tonight on Fresno, and plans on calling out the "Next Big Thing."
- Cutting to the sold out audience here in the Save Mart Center, Justin Roberts made an introduction that ensued a massive amount of heat. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome.....the NEW General Manager of Monday Night RAW, Brad Maddox!" Maddox made his way out to the stage, full of smiles as the WWE Universe expressed their extreme displeasure for his new position. Maddox made his way down to the ring as the commentary unit of Michael Cole, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and John "Bradshaw" Layfield formally welcomed everyone to RAW, just 24 hours after a wild and chaotic SummerSlam event. Maddox stepped into the ring, grabbing a microphone from ringside. "Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you all for coming out to the first ever edition of Monday Night RAW presented by your new General Manager, Mr. Brad Maddox!" The audience continued booing, but Maddox kept his smile as nothing could ruin his mood after defeating Ric Flair's team last night. "I know there's a small portion of the WWE Universe out there who were hoping for Ric Flair to be standing here right now as the General Manager. I invited Flair to RAW tonight. I even offered him the position of being my Assisting Supervisor by calling him on the phone. However, he responded to my offer by shouting multiple expletives at me, and I cannot have that kind of reckless behavior in the Maddox Administration. But, being the kind and giving individual that I am, I have invited Flair to RAW next week." Maddox then said that he had many, many people to thank for making this event possible. "I even wrote a list," said Maddox as he pulled out a long roll of paper. "There's a total of 757 people that I would like to thank. #1 through 748 are all me. Then it's Ric Flair for seeing potential in a janitor. Twitter for verifying me. Joey Styles for writing a very kind article about me on WWE.com. Roman Reigns. Ted DiBiase. Joe Hennig. Mark Henry. The Miz. And last but not least....my parents' genetics. Not my parents, just their genetics." Many people, including the commentary unit, noticed that Maddox forgot to thank the man who is solely responsible for him being the General Manager right now, John Laurinaitis. Nonetheless, Maddox moved on, saying that while SummerSlam is an event that will forever live in history thanks to he and his team, he can't get too caught up in it. Because as the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW, he has to look ahead to Night of Champions and make sure that his brand is represented with quality, competitive matches. "In four weeks at Night of Champions, the WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler will defend his title in a Championship Scramble match. And tonight, we will find out the other four competitors through a series of qualifying matches." Maddox thanked the audience for their time as they responded with more boos.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Brad Maddox, #NightOfChampions)
- Returning to RAW, Wade Barrett, Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, and CM Punk were all shown in the locker room area, all clearly infuriated by the fact that Brad Maddox is now in charge of RAW. Soon, security guards walked into the room, followed by Maddox. Barrett instantly stood up, facing the guards as they protected Maddox. "I understand that all of us have not seen eye to eye, but it's a new day. A new era is upon us, and I would like for us all to start fresh," said Maddox. "As I just announced, there will be a series of Championship Scramble qualifying matches tonight, and you will all have matches pertaining to that. Ryder, you're up next. So you may want to get to the ring." Ryder made his way out of the room, but stared at Maddox intensively before leaving. "Kofi, there a 10-man Battle Royal tonight, and you'll be a part of it. So go do your acrobatic warm ups or whatever it is that you do." After Kofi left, Maddox turned his attention to Punk and Barrett. "Shut your mouth, Brad. I want to know where John Laurinaitis is, and if you don't know, then go find him before I rip your head off of your shoulders," said Barrett. Maddox said that he doesn't know where Laurinaitis is, or why Barrett is threatening him. "You know damn well what happened last night. You're standing in front of me right now because of Laurinaitis," said Barrett. Punk tried to calm him down before expressing his own grievances to Maddox. "There was a stipulation in my match that said that if Dolph Ziggler got disqualified, I would become WWE Champion. Ziggler broke that stipulation, got away with it, and I assume you're not going to do anything about it," said Punk. "Eh, there's bigger things to worry about, like your match tonight. You both will have an opportunity to qualify for the Scramble match, but it will be in a Qualifying Gauntlet match. There will be three other teams in the match. You both win, then you're in. You lose, then whoever defeats you is in." Maddox wished the both of them luck before being escorted out by the security.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH - THE MIZ DEF. ZACK RYDER: A solid bout to kick things off tonight as two men who competed in last night's Elimination Match battled it out for a shot at the WWE Championship at Night of Champions. The Miz came in full of momentum after being the sole survivor for Team Maddox at SummerSlam, and was able to continue riding that wave of momentum by putting away Ryder with the Skull Crushing Finale.
- The closing bell sounded as Miz stood to his feet, the audience bombarding him with boos. The "Awesome One" didn't care one bit for the opinions of others as the man who helped save Brad Maddox at SummerSlam joins WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler as one of the five participants in the Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions.
- Backstage, Josh Mathews was standing by with the Prime Time Players. Mathews asked Young and O'Neil for their thoughts on competing in a 10-Man Battle Royal for a chance at qualifying for the WWE Championship Scramble match? O'Neil said that while he and Young are still rallying for a shot at the WWE Tag Team Champions, they'll be more than glad to qualify for the WWE Title match. "Because a victory for one of us is a victory for the Prime Time Players. And a victory for the Prime Time Players means....millions of dollars! Millions of dollars! Millions of Dollars!" Young and O'Neil left the interview scene, ready to compete in the Championship Scramble Qualifying Battle Royal.
- A graphic was shown for a Champion vs. Champion match later tonight. WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler meets United States Champion Christian, tonight on RAW!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Brad Maddox, Championship Scramble, The Miz)
- A promo was shown for the encore presentation of SummerSlam, available all week on pay-per-view.
- Returning to Monday Night RAW, the ring was shown filling up with several superstars with hopes of qualifying for the WWE Championship Scramble match. Kofi Kingston, Ryback, Evan Bourne, and the Prime Time Players all had their entrances televised, ready to compete in this over the top rope Battle Royal for a shot at glory.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING BATTLE ROYAL - RYBACK LAST ELIMINATES EVAN BOURNE: With all participants having never been WWE Champion before, a victory would mean a launch to super stardom for any one of them. Alex Riley, Mason Ryan, Derrick Bateman, David Otunga, and Santino Marella all took their plunges to the floor before we were left with the five men who were the last to enter. The Prime Time Players both targeted Kofi Kingston, but their plan backfired after Kofi delivered Trouble In Paradise that eliminated Darren Young. It was then down to Kofi, Titus, Ryback, and Bourne as all four men took a corner. As Kofi was preparing for the Boom Drop, Young pulled down the ropes as he fell over the top rope and onto the floor. Titus and Bourne then double teamed Ryback, but the undefeated monster was able to fight back. He lifted Titus up in a Gorilla Press position, tossing over the top and onto Young. At that moment, Bourne delivered a Dropkick to the back of Ryback, believing that he had eliminated the monster. Bourne began celebrating in over-the-top fashion, unaware that Ryback was behind him with his eyes locked on him. When Bourne turned around, he was drilled with a massive Meathook Clothesline. "Finish him!" shouted Ryback as the Fresno audience were on their feet. After hitting Shell Shocked, Ryback picked Bourne up to his feet and sent him flying over the top rope and onto the floor.
- The audience erupted as Ryback was declared the winner, the undefeated monster raising his arms in victory. The updated graphic for the Championship Scramble match was shown as Ryback will be joining WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler and The Miz. Will anyone be able to stop the undefeated monster from feasting on the WWE Championship at Night of Champions?
- Backstage, United States Champion Christian was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler in a Champion vs. Champion match, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Prime Time Players, Ryback, #FeedMeMore)
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After wrestling the final match of his career at SummerSlam, Rey Mysterio will give his parting words to the WWE Universe. Plus, we will hear from the new World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes. Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- Returning from the break, General Manager Brad Maddox was shown in his office on the phone, waiting for whoever he was calling to answer. "Hey, Teddy. You know that undefeated meathead guy on your brand? Well say goodbye to him. Because as of this moment, Ryback is exclusive property of Brad Maddox's RAW. And he'll make a lovely addition to the Maddox Administration."
- WWE CHAMPION DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION CHRISTIAN: An incredible Champion vs. Champion match to round out the first hour here tonight on RAW. With both Ziggler and Christian going into Night of Champions in four weeks to defend their titles, a victory here would give them a bit of momentum with their title defenses in Boston still uncertain. As Christian was going for the Killswitch, Ziggler pushed him away, hitting the Superkick upon Captain Charisma turning around.
- Ziggler rolled out of the ring as he was handed back his WWE Championship, raising it high in the air. As Ziggler made his way up the entrance ramp, CM Punk was shown in the locker room area watching a TV monitor. Punk, still angered over the result of SummerSlam, was soon approached by Wade Barrett. Barrett told Punk that he's going to say to him what he told the rest of Team Flair leading up to SummerSlam. "We may not like each other, but we have one common goal tonight. Qualify for the WWE Championship Scramble match, and stick it to Brad Maddox. So I suggest that we get on the same page and work as a a cohesive unit," said Barrett. "Yeah, and look where that advice got your team last night," said Punk before leaving the locker room, Barrett slamming his fist into a locker out of anger.
- A black and white image of John Cena following last night's Unsanctioned Match with Brock Lesnar was shown, with the caption "Down, But Not Out?" Cena is here tonight in Fresno, and plans on calling Lesnar out.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Dolph Ziggler, Christian)
- A promo was shown for Wednesday's live edition of NXT. Damien Sandow will be invoking his rematch clause as he takes on Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship. Plus, Richie Steamboat and Trent Barreta collide in the finals of the Elimination Chase to crown a new No. 1 contender. WWE NXT, live this Wednesday on ION Television.
- Returning to Monday Night RAW, General Manager Brad Maddox was shown in his office when Matt Striker walked in, asking Maddox if it's true that he invited Ric Flair to RAW next week? Maddox said that it is true because he's a caring person. "Flair and I have our differences, and he may have tried to break my leg last night, but I think he should at least be given the opportunity to give a speech as to why he and his team couldn't get the job done. And like I said earlier, I even offered Flair to be my Assistant Supervisor. But the more I think about it, the more I realize how glad I am he turned down the offer. Because I did find another Assistant Supervisor," said the new GM. After he said that, Summer Rae from NXT walked into the room. "....yeah, I'm glad Flair turned down my offer," said Maddox.
- JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTER DEF. YOSHI TATSU: After another dominant showing by Jack Swagger, he was able to put Yoshi Tatsu away with the Gutwrench Powerbomb, now dubbed as the "Patriot Bomb" to get the victory.
- Swagger stood to his feet following the match, the official trying to raise his arm. Swagger pushed the official away, only allowing Zeb Colter to raise his arm in victory. "We the people!" shouted Swagger as he and Colter continue to dominate on their journey to making "Jack Swagger's America" a reality.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. CM Punk and Wade Barrett will compete in a Championship Scramble Qualifying Gauntlet. If they can defeat three teams consecutively, then they're in at Night of Champion. If they lose, then whoever defeats them will qualify instead. New General Manager Brad Maddox has stacked the deck against them, but can they overcome the odds?
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Summer Rae, Jack Swagger)
- Returning from the commercial break, a vignette was shown that featured a silhouette dancing in a ballroom environment. The vignette concluded with the name "Fandango" appearing on the screen.
- Backstage, new RAW General Manager Brad Maddox was shown in his office with Assistant Supervisor, Summer Rae, when the Prime Time Players walked in. "We know you're a smart man, Brad. Otherwise you wouldn't be in the position that you're in. And we know that you like money. And the Prime Time Players are all about that money. And if we were the WWE Tag Team Champions, we'd be making it rain here on RAW! Money for us, money for you, money for your Administration," said Titus O'Neil. "I do like money," said Maddox. He then agreed to give the Prime Time Players a No. 1 Contender's match next week on RAW.
- NO.1 CONTENDERS MATCH - AJ LEE DEF. NATALYA AND KAITLYN: The three Divas who failed to dethrone Eve as the Divas Champion last night were given another opportunity here tonight in a No. 1 Contenders match. As Natalya had Kaitlyn locked in the Sharpshooter, AJ caught her by surprise with a Shining Wizard to get the victory.
- The Fresno audience popped for AJ as she stood to her feet, raising her arms in victory. AJ had the victory stolen from her last night at SummerSlam, but it can all be rectified at Night of Champions as she gets another one on one opportunity at Eve for the Divas Championship.
- Backstage, CM Punk was shown warming up for the Gauntlet match when his tag team partner, Wade Barrett, approached him. Barrett told Punk that perhaps his advice was worthless. "Maybe two polar opposites trying to get on the same page is just a recipe for failure. You go out there and do your own thing. I'll do my own thing. And maybe, just maybe, we'll win this thing," said Barrett. Punk smirked, telling Barrett that he's glad he sees things his way. "But of course, your strategy must work very well seeing as how you're the WWE Champion right now." Punk's mood instantly changed as he stared at Barrett, looking as if he wanted to a take a shot at the Bare Knuckle Fighter. Punk kept his composure, leaving the scene and heading down to the ring.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Fandango, AJ Lee)
- Returning to RAW, a promo was shown for the Church of Wyatt that featured Bray Wyatt and Brodus Clay showing Tensai, the second "Child of Wyatt", around a forest that Bray called the "Promise Land." Wyatt stated that next week, the world will witness the chaos and destruction that his children are capable of.
- Backstage, AJ Lee was shown walking down a corridor, coming off of a huge victory that named her the No.1 Contender for Eve's Divas Championship. AJ was soon approached by Josh Mathews, asking for her thoughts on getting another opportunity to become Divas Champion at Night of Champions. AJ said that she doesn't believe in the phrase "the third time is the charm," but she probably should because that's exactly what will happen. "Eve isn't here tonight because she stayed in Los Angeles to celebrate her victory last night. I'm here each and every night giving my all and living my dream. My dream isn't complete yet. But it will be at Night of Champions when I become the new Divas Champion. And I'll do anything to make that happen," said AJ before leaving the scene.
- Cutting to Brad Maddox's office, the new General Manager was shown with Summer Rae, The Miz, and WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler as they prepared to watch CM Punk and Wade Barrett endure a Gauntlet match to qualify for the Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions. Maddox told Ziggler and Miz that they have nothing to worry about. "Punk and Barrett are about to implode right before our eyes. And that means that everyone in the Scramble match will be Brad Maddox-approved talent," said the new GM. "What about Ryback?" asked Ziggler. Maddox assured the WWE Champion that the undefeated monster will fight for them. "Ryback is a clueless meathead. How hard can it be to get him on our side?" said Maddox.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING GAUNTLET MATCH - CM PUNK AND WADE BARRETT DEF. PRIMO AND EPICO: A great bout to kick off the Gauntlet match. The tension between Punk and Barrett was clear as both were hesitant to tag in the other. Eventually, Punk forced Primo to submit to the Anaconda Vice.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING GAUNTLET MATCH - CM PUNK AND WADE BARRETT DEF. CURT HAWKINS AND TYLER REKS: Immediately following their previous match with Primo and Epico, Punk and Barrett found themselves going up against Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. Fatigue started to become a factor for Punk and Barrett, but they were ultimately able to get another victory after Barrett planted Reks with Wasteland.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING GAUNTLET MATCH - CM PUNK AND WADE BARRETT DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS WRESTLING ROYALTY: Punk and Barrett's final barrier proved to be their toughest challenge in this Gauntlet match. The WWE Tag Team Champions, Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig, who helped lead Team Maddox to victory last night. DiBiase and Hennig took Punk and Barrett to the limit, almost defeating the two former WWE Champions at several points. After Barrett took DiBiase out with a Big Boot on the outside, Punk countered Hennig's Perfect Plex into the Go To Sleep, covering him to get the victory,
- The audience erupted as Punk stood to his feet, Barrett rolling back into the ring. The official their arms in victory as both stared at one another. Brad Maddox and his Administration were shown in their office, disappointed with the outcome of the match. The graphic for the WWE Championship Scramble match was shown as the stage is now set. Dolph Ziggler, CM Punk, Wade Barrett, The Miz, and Ryback will all compete for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions.
- Backstage, John Cena was shown walking down a corridor in an arm sling. He plans on calling out Brock Lesnar, next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Gauntlet Match, Wrestling Royalty)
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to Monday Night RAW, a graphic was shown announcing that next week, John Laurinaitis will be present live from Milwaukee and will explain his actions from last night's SummerSlam event.
- The theme of John Cena hit as a mixed reaction emerged from the Fresno audience. Cena made his way out to the stage, wearing an arm sling to show the damage that was done to him courtesy of Brock Lesnar. He walked down to the ring, not running down as he usually does. Cena grabbed a microphone as he stood in the center of the ring, removing his hat to reveal a large bandage on his forehead. "Take a good look. This is what happens when you agree to step into the ring against Brock Lesnar with no rules. You all saw it and I'll say it myself. Last night at SummerSlam, I got my ass kicked." Cena said that he has a couple of stitches in his head, and a heavily damaged arm, but he's still standing. "Brock, you did a number on me, but you didn't get the job done. Some people may think that I have a death wish by calling you out tonight. And I realize that if you and I are in this ring again, you may get the job done. But I want you in this ring right now. Not to fight, but to make it official the next time you go toe to toe because I'm looking for a rematch." The audience popped for Cena's resiliency as he waited patiently in the ring. Moments later, the theme of Brock Lesnar hit. A few seconds passed without any sign of the "Next Big Thing." However, Paul Heyman made his through the curtain! Cena and the rest of the WWE Universe looked on in shock as Heyman entered the ring, taking a microphone from ringside.
- Cena looked as if he had seen a ghost as Heyman brought the microphone closer to him. "Expecting someone else, John?" asked Heyman. "I must admit. I admire your fighting spirit. I admire the fact that you're dumb enough to want to challenge Brock Lesnar to a rematch just 24 hours after the man left you for dead in the middle of this ring. But I am here tonight to inform you that my once-again client, Brock Lesnar, is not here tonight. In fact, Brock may not return, and that's because he did what he had set out to do. Beat you to a bloody pulp and become the new face of the WWE. And he accomplished that. It doesn't matter if you're still standing. You did the unthinkable. You tapped out. John Cena, Mr. Never Give Up, tapped out to Brock Lesnar." A few "You tapped out" chants emerged from the audience as Heyman continued on. "But if it's a death wish that you have, then it's one that I could possibly grant for you." Cena told Heyman that he may be the one with a death wish. "I may have one good arm, but that's all I need to knock your lights out. I don't care if Brock Lesnar is sitting peacefully at home or if he believes that he accomplished his goal. He didn't. I'm still here. I'm still standing, and I want a rematch. So go get on a plane, find Brock, and bring him to me because I'll be right here waiting," said Cena. "And who are you to talk to me like that? Who are you to give Paul Heyman demands? You're nothing special, John. You may have been before last night, but Brock Lesnar beat any value that you had out of your body. And it's like I said earlier. I can't give you Brock Lesnar. But I can give you a fight." Cena chuckled to himself, asking Heyman if he really believes that he can beat him. "No, I'm not saying that I can beat you. But he can...." said Heyman. Seconds later, Cena was attacked from behind by Mark Henry! The World's Strongest Man stared down at Cena, who clutched his injured arm. Henry then lifted Cena off of his feet, planting him with the World's Strongest Slam! "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce my new client. The World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry!" Heyman raised Henry's arm as the two stood tall over Cena, bringing RAW to a close.

RAW Review
Loved the new GM of RAW Brad Maddox opening up the show, because it really set the tone for the show, it truly did but at the same time he has the audacity to thank not only his team, Twitter, Joey Styles and even Flair but thanking his parents' good genes, seriously, the one person who he should be thanking for even being GM right now is John Laurinaitis because if it wasn't for Big Johnny costing Team Flair the victory pretty much gift wrapping it to Maddox, that he wouldn't even be the GM right now, Flair would be
Night of Champions it will be a WWE Championship Scramble Match, the last time there were ever Scramble Matches in WWE was in 2008 back at Unforgiven so to see this match format back in the WWE will be interesting to see especially for RAW's main event at the pay per view and there be qualifying matches for the Scramble tonight, I can't wait to see who the 4 men are that qualify along with Ziggler
Miz qualifying first by beating Zack Ryder, I love it, because let's face it Miz has more going for him at this point and not to mention Miz is a former 2-time WWE Champion so him qualifying along with Ziggler just adds to the star quality of the match while Ryder he can focus on being WWE United States Champion again
A 10-Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal to determine just who the 2nd man will be that will join Ziggler and Miz in the WWE Championship Scramble is great, I wonder just who it will be that qualifies because PTP if they are in the battle royal then that means either one of them could be in the main event which then would scream millions of dollars but at the same time they are one of the favorites but not the favorite
Ryback, a Smackdown superstar qualifies 2nd becoming the 3rd man of 5 men who will be in the Scramble Match at Night of Champions, Ryback is undefeated and he hasn't lost a match yet, so I wonder if Ryback that now he is a RAW superstar now or from the looks of it if he is, then by him being in the WWE Championship Scramble Match his undefeated streak in general could be in serious jeopardy, yes he won a Battle Royal but a Scramble Match is much different, 20 minute time limit and in that time limit if there is a pinfall the superstar is the interim WWE Champion and at the end of that time limit whoever ends up getting the deciding pinfall will be the WWE Champion, definitely a disadvantage for Ryback if you ask me
Champion vs Champion with the WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler taking on the WWE United States Champion Christian, these 2 always put on great matches with one another whenever they are in the same ring together so I have no doubt that this match will be great or that it won't be boring that's for sure
Ziggler fresh off of his WWE Championship win at SummerSlam beats Christian who is fresh off of a pre-show win, just goes to show us that Ziggler is ready for Night of Champions even though his title reign itself is in serious jeopardy especially in a Scramble Match because the only time during a Scramble when the champion retained his title was in 2008 when Triple H was WWE Champion at the time and he retained his title in that Scramble, so will history repeat itself with Ziggler being able to retain his title?
While Christian I can't wait to see who he defends his title against at Night of Champions, perhaps we could have ourselves another battle royal to determine just who will face Christian for the WWE United States Championship but this time with the winner getting a WWE United States Championship match against Christian at Night of Champions in the pre-show before Night of Champions with the winner getting their shot later on in the pay per view
Punk and Barrett backstage definitely loved it because they have to put their egos aside in order to qualify for the Scramble Match by running the gauntlet against 3 other teams and if they win they're in but if they lose they're out, so these 2 combustible elements having to team together, how is that going to happen? Neither man can trust the other one, so how are they going to be able to get along?
Cena will be in the building, I can't wait to see how he reacts after his loss to Brock Lesnar last night or how he is going to be able to recover from that beating that Lesnar gave him
Summer Rae is Brad Maddox's new assistant Supervisor, that is interesting
Swagger beats Tatsu, I love it because now Swagger is really coming into his own especially now that Coulter is with him, WE THE PEOPLE, here is hoping Swagger's push begins now especially with Jack Swagger's America being realized but at the same time it can't happen not here on RAW any way, but it can on Smackdown if Swagger becomes a Smackdown guy
AJ becoming the #1 Contender for the WWE Divas Championship once again by beating Natalya and Kaitlyn, like how many shots is AJ going to get before she wins the big one? Because it is simple, she can't win the big one, she is going to get her hopes and dreams dashed again especially since Eve has been WWE Divas Champion for so long and I don't see her reign ending anytime soon but if it does, it won't be AJ who ends it, but I would love to see AJ try at Night of Champions because she will choke
Bray Wyatt's whole church thing, or cult, whatever his stable is creeps me out seriously they do but at the same time they do in a good way but in order for them to be much more lethal they need to feud with main eventers at least
CM Punk and Wade Barrett qualifying becoming the 4th and 5th man respectively, setting up the Night of Champions main event for the WWE Championship with it being a WWE Championship scramble, for sure Ziggler's title reign is done for sure now especially after Punk and Barrett were able to not only beat Epico & Primo, and Hawkins & Reks but were able to beat the WWE Tag Team Champions DiBiase & Hennig, gives them momentum
And Paul Heyman making his return to WWE but then announcing that his new client is none other than The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry, wow, but I wonder that now that Heyman is now Henry's manager, what about Brock?
Great RAW!!!!!!!

Summerslam: - Such a shame these four men had to be in the preshow, but I guess that's why it is there. I was happy either way with either team winning, and at least someone without a belt took the defeat. - Never really care to see one of the World Titles opening the show but I am really glad to see Cody Rhodes win the World Championship. Cleanly as well. Looking forward to his reign on top. - Really awesome tease of a future Brock Lesnar/Kurt Angle match. Wrestlemania maybe? - Fatal Four Way Diva's match was what it was. AJ came close, so it's a shame she couldn't win. Eve as champ is alright though. - Angle had to win this insane triple threat match, and so he did. Would have liked to have seen this a little later in the card but alls good. Ambrose is using the Vertabreaker as a finish? - Ryback's undefeated streak is still in tact with a fun cage match against Kane. Big fan of Ryback, looking forward to hopefully seeing some big things for him. - Mysterio bowing out graciously in his retirement match against Sin Cara. Fun finish in what I imagine looked like the TPI Final's with Quackenbush & Castagnoli. - Brad Maddox is gm of raw and presumingly, Flair is gone. Shocking Johnny Ace comeback to cost Flair's team the match. Looking forward to how Maddox runs the show. - Super fun WWE Championship match with Ziggler and Punk. Glad to see Ziggler using the Super Kick as a finish, wish he would in real life full time. Ziggler and Rhodes as the top guys in WWE is pretty awesome. - Insane finish with Lesnar/Cena. Lesnar forcing Cena to tap out was a surprise, I was expecting the Hart/Austin finish where Cena just passes out in a pool of blood forcing the ref to end the match.
Super long write ups, I'll be honest and say I read the last quarter of each match, as long write ups are not my thing. Besides a few match placements on the card, a top show.

WWE SummerSlam: Sunday 19th August 2012...Alright, time to stay on top of this diary. Good win for Christian and Alberto Del Rio against Antonio Cesaro and Evan Bourne in a match that unfortunately put both of the midcard championship off of the main card. Whilst disappointing, I guess there just isn't room for the WWE United States Championship or the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the main card. Hmm, unsure about the World Heavyweight Championship opening things off, especially since this feud technically has the most build, dating back to the King of the Ring tournament victory in June for Cody Rhodes. Nonetheless, a hard-hitting encounter, and I am shocked yet extremely satisfied that Cody Rhodes has won the World Heavyweight Championship. Very pleased with the outcome of this, however a rematch is unfortunately inevitable. Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle's encounter was a strange one, hmm. Up next, a decent fatal four-way match for the WWE Divas Championship with Eve going over...this surprised me. Logically, I feel like this should have marked the end of Eve's reign, but hopefully instead it marks the beginning of AJ Lee's rise and chasing of the title. I would enjoy that. Up next, a rivalry that I'm not that fond of...I just think that Kurt Angle's implementation into Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose's business has been rushed...this should still be Bryan and Ambrose going one-on-one. And Angle gets the win again. We had an amazing, heated rivalry going on here. And then Angle got involved and now it's all about him. Not interested. Up next, another decent win for Ryback to further establish himself as a WWE Superstar, defeating Kane in a steel-cage match. Must have been very hard to follow the match that proceded it, though. Hopefully Ryback can move on from here. Next, a lucha-libre match between Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara, as we conclude Mysterio's career in lacklustre fashion. I really wish I could have gotten behind this angle, with Mysterio passing the torch on to Sin Cara, but Sin Cara has done nothing for me to get behind him properly, to believe that he can be better than Mysterio. If this was Alberto Del Rio (had he been a face for longer) challenging Mysterio for his career, I'd have loved that scenario a hell of a lot more. Ah well, I guess it's done now. Ah wow, great promo with Bray Wyatt ushering Tensai into the Wyatt Family faction, alongside real life ally, Brodus Clay. Hopefully Tensai now has a firm position in the WWE. What a team. Up next, a solid elimination match to remove Ric Flair from television officially. Hopefully Brad Maddox sticks around for a lot longer than Flair - and John Laurinaitis for that matter. We've seen enough fiddling around with the authority figures, I believe. Wow, that finish, Laurinaitis cost Wade Barrett the match!? Great win for the Miz to gain some extra momentum. I like the storyline, although it is so soap opera-esque. So does this mean that Brad the Janitor was doing it all for Laurinaitis? I love that, great booking here. Up next, a great win for Dolph Ziggler against CM Punk in a solid WWE Championship face-off, I hope that these get a rematch next month at Night of Champions, personally. Maybe for some main event segment momentum to apply onto Ziggler. Finally, a good Unsanctioned match that slightly reflected their Extreme Rules encounter, Lesnar getting the win was a depressing note to end SummerSlam on, but it really makes Cena look depressed and 'out of the zone', so to speak. Overall, a solid show with several flaws in the booking department I did feel. There were little buffer matches for the crowd to be able to calm down from, although there were backstage segments, which justified for these segments. I felt it was a fair show, although I didn't agree/appreciate some of the angles.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Following the intro cameras scanned the audience here at Full Sail University, pumped and ready for the second ever live edition of WWE NXT! The commentary duo of Byron Saxton and Tony Dawson welcomed everyone to the show, noting William Regal's absence from the announce table. That is because tonight, Regal will call out the man who has been a thorn in his side for weeks now, Kassius Ohno. But in the main event, the "Intellectual Savior of the Masses" Damien Sandow will look to regain gold as he takes on Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship. Plus, a Divas Battle Royal will take place with all seven competitors in the "Queen of NXT" Cup battling it out. But first, the Elimination Chase will conclude and a new No.1 contender will be crowned.
- ELIMINATION CHASE FINALS - TRENT BARRETA DEF. RICHIE STEAMBOAT (RICHIE IS ELIMINATED): A fantastic, fast-paced bout to kick off NXT live as the ongoing Elimination Chase reached its conclusion. After Steamboat failed to connect with a Crossbody, Trent caught him with a Running Knee to get the victory.
- The Full Sail audience booed as Trent stood to his feet, smirking as the official raised his arm in victory. A graphic appeared on the screen, announcing that Trent has won the Elimination Chase, and is now the No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship. He made his way up the ramp, motioning for the gold that could very well be his in the near future.
- Backstage, General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez was shown in his office, watching Trent celebrate on a TV monitor. Interviewer Renee Young walked into the room, asking Ricardo if he could shed a bit of light on the three major announcements that he had to make tonight. Ricardo said that one of the announcements will be revealed later tonight on WWE.com, so be on the look out for that. "As for the other two announcements, I think I can go ahead and let the WWE Universe in on them. As we just saw, Trent Barreta is the new No.1 contender for the NXT Championship. And he will receive his opportunity against either Seth Rollins or Damien Sandow when NXT returns to iPPV on October 10th. The other announcement I have is that more gold will soon be on its way to NXT. I'm very pleased to announce the birth of the NXT Tag Team Championships. I have yet to decide how the inaugural champions will be decided, but I am guaranteeing that two NXT superstars will be crowned champions on October 10th."
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to WWE NXT, General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez was shown once again, this time walking towards the ring. Suddenly, he was stopped by the duo of Corey Graves and Jake Carter. "Listen, Ricardo. You don't have to overwork yourself trying to think of a way to crown the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions. And that's because right now, you're standing next to the only two men here who are qualified enough to hold those titles," said Graves. Ricardo said that he has put Graves and Carter in consideration, and they are certainly at the top of his list. However, he isn't going to just hand them the titles. They're going to have to earn them. Ricardo continued on, leaving Graves and Carter infuriated.
- Cutting back to the arena, the theme of JTG hit to a chorus of boos from Full Sail University. The self-proclaimed "Mr. NXT" made his way down to the ring, waiting patiently for his opponent. After a few seconds of silence, Ricardo Rodriguez made his way out to the stage. He told JTG that he understands that he has been frustrated throughout this evening, not being told specifically who his opponent is. "And that's because I wanted to wait until this exact moment to make yet another big announcement. And believe me when I say 'big.' Because JTG, your opponent tonight is the newest member of the NXT roster. Full Sail, please give a warm welcome to Big E Langston!" The audience erupted as Big E made his way out to the stage, shaking Ricardo's hand. Big E then locked eyes with JTG, who looked as if he had seen a ghost. As Big E marched down to the ring, JTG bolted out of the arena through the audience. Big E stood in the ring by himself, scaring away the man who he's been dying to get his hands on.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After competing in the final match of his career at SummerSlam, Rey Mysterio will give his parting words to the WWE Universe. Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- Backstage, Big E Langston was shown walking down a corridor, having just made his return to NXT. Briley Pierce caught up with Big E, asking for his thoughts on JTG immediately running at the sight of him. Big E said that when Ricardo Rodriguez approached him with a contract, he had one thing on his mind - get his hands on JTG. Unfortunately, that didn't exactly happen. But some day, JTG won't have anywhere to run or hide. And he's going to have to face the music. The music that is Big E Langston.
- Returning to the Full Sail Arena, Audrey Marie, Sasha Banks, Skyler Moon, and Emma were all shown in the ring already as we get set for an NXT Divas Battle Royal, with major implications on the "Queen of NXT" Cup as for the first time ever, a win or loss will be recorded for all of them simultaneously. Sofia Cortez made her way out first, being met with a mixed reaction. Paige's theme hit next to a massive ovation, the Anti Diva tied with Sofia for the first seed. Raquel Diaz's theme hit next to a chorus of boos as she made her way out to the stage, saying that since tonight is just full of announcements, she has one to make herself. "For months now, I have had to single handedly rid NXT of the ugliness that infects it. But getting rid of all of the hideous faces that I see in that ring is just too much work for one person. So I'm happy to announce that there is someone else now on the board with the 'Exfoliating Ugliness Tour." Moments later, two words rang throughout the arena as the audience recognized the individual, responding with rampant boos. "Excuse me!" shouted Vickie Guerrero as she made her way out to the stage. Raquel revealed that her mother, Vickie, will now be "fighting the good fight" alongside her.
- RAQUEL DIAZ (6-1) W/ VICKIE GUERRERO DEF. PAIGE (6-2), SOFIA CORTEZ (6-2), SKYLER MOON (4-3), AUDREY MARIE (3-4), SASHA BANKS (2-5), AND EMMA (0-7) IN A DIVAS BATTLE ROYAL: After the bell sounded, Emma stood in the center of the ring as she asked for her music to played. She then began doing her signature dance, the rest of the Divas and the audience awkwardly watching on. The other six Divas then attacked Emma, beating her down as Sofia threw her out, leaving NXT's resident dancers with zero wins thus far in the cup. Sasha Banks, Skyler Moon, and Audrey Marie all suffered elimination next as we were left with Paige, Sofia, and Raquel. Paige threw Sofia over the top rope, but she managed to land on the ring apron. When Sofia turned around, Paige caught her with a Superkick to eliminate her. It was now down to Paige and Raquel as the Anti Diva immediately went after her adversary. As she was getting ready to hit RamPaige, Vickie Guerrero climbed onto the ring apron to distract the official. Paige immediately noticed this and approached Vickie, screaming "Get the hell out of here!" Vickie's eardrums may have been shattered as she dropped to the floor, screaming in fear. Raquel then snuck up behind Paige, pushing her through the second rope and onto the floor to claim victory.
- The audience booed as Raquel stood tall in the ring, celebrating her huge victory in this Battle Royal. Paige looked on from the outside, furious and in disbelief at her loss. The updated standings for the "Queen of NXT" Cup were shown as Raquel has now overtaken both Paige and Sofia Cortez for the first seed. Vickie joined her daughter in the ring, the two celebrating as Paige left up the entrance ramp. The "Queen of NXT" will be crowned in two weeks, which means that the standings will be locked next week.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. NXT Champion Seth Rollins defends his title against the former champion, Damien Sandow.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to NXT, the theme of William Regal hit as he made his way out to a huge pop from the Full Sail audience. Regal stepped into the ring, saying that for the past number of weeks, someone has been a thorn in his side. "And the worst part of it all is that the thorn is man who I once greatly respected. A man who trained with me for no reason other than the fact that every day, he was looking to get better and perfect his craft. But now, I don't even know who this man is. So Kassius Ohno, please come on down to the ring because I should be saying all of this to your face." Ohno's theme soon hit as he made his way out to the stage, staring down Regal for a bit before entering the ring. Ohno told Regal that it's pretty ironic how he claims that he "doesn't know him anymore." "Regal, you're right. I also did once respect you and was honored to have the opportunity to train with you just for fun. But I can say the exact same thing about you. The man I see before me is not that same man. I remember years ago, I met a villain. I met a man who was, as you like to put it, born naughty. But now, I see nothing more than a stooge." Regal stared at Ohno for a bit before retaliating. "I'm a stooge? Sunshine, understand something. I am in the position that I am because I'd be lying if I said that I haven't aged in my craft. I'm getting older, and thus, I'm unable to do what you do on a regular basis. But that doesn't mean that I still can't pack my gear one more time if it means teaching you a thing or two about respect." The audience popped as Ohno looked around the arena, chuckling to himself. "You can't be serious, Regal. Are you seriously challenging me to a match? Do you have a death wish, old man. I will knock your denture down your throat and make sure that you have to breathe through a tube for the rest of your life," said Ohno. Regal told him that he very well may accomplish that. "But at the same time, I still have the ability to twist your spine like a worthless twig. Ohno, I won't make this any clearer. I am willing to lace up my boots one more time, and I'm will to do it on iPPV on October the 10th. So what do you say, lad?" Regal extended his hand to Ohno, who stared at him. The audience even chanted "Shake his hand," wanting the match to be made. Ohno soon accepted the hand shake, also making the match official for October 10th. Ohno then tried to get one up on Regal, attempting to deliver a thumb to his eye. Regal may have expected Ohno to make a move as be grabbed his hand, stopping him as he delivered a thumb to the eye of his own! Ohno rolled out of the ring, placing his palm against his eye as Regal stood tall in the ring, telling Ohno that he'll see him on October 10th at NXT's second iPPV.
- Backstage, Damien Sandow was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship, next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- NXT CHAMPIONSHIP - SETH ROLLINS DEF. DAMIEN SANDOW: A great bout to close out tonight's live edition of NXT, about on par with their two previous encounters. Sandow was looking for a Superplex from the top rope, but Rollins was able to fight out of it and shove him off. As Sandow was stirring to his feet, Rollins leaped off of the top rope, catching Sandow with a Blackout! Rollins got the cover on Sandow, also getting the victory.
- The audience erupted for Rollins as he stood to his feet, celebrating his victory immediately. He was then handed back his NXT Championship as he raised it high in the air. Sandow rolled out of the ring, distraught over the loss as he is now out of opportunities at the NXT Championship. As Rollins was celebrating, the audience began warning him as Trent Barreta ran down to the ring. Rollins turned around, only to be hit with a Running Knee from Trent. The former Dudebuster scooped up the NXT Championship, staring at it while standing tall over Rollins, the man he hopes to take the title from on iPPV on October 10th.

Loved NXT but as far as this episode goes, the only things that I loved about it to be quite honest would have to be Big E. Langston being revealed to be the newest member of the NXT roster since it was the NXT GM Ricardo who signed him, so now Big E. can finally get his hands on JTG but even more is now that Trent Barreta is the new #1 Contender for the NXT Championship by beating The Dragon's Son Richie Steamboat to get the opportunity but looking even more forward to Rollins/Barreta
Regal vs Ohno at the NXT iPPV, can't wait
