THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Following the signature intro, a video package was shown featuring highlights from the illustrious career of Rey Mysterio. This past Sunday at SummerSlam, Mysterio wrestled the final match of his career, losing to Sin Cara. Tonight, Mysterio will give his parting words to the WWE Universe, here on Friday Night SmackDown.
- We then immediately cut to the arena here in Bakersfield. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome.....the NEW World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes!" Tony Chimel's introduction resulted in thunderous boos from the audience as Cody made his way out to the stage, holding his newly won World Heavyweight Championship high in the air. Cody made his way down to the ring, grabbing a microphone from ringside. ".....I told you so," he said. "For months, I told each and every single one of you that I would walk into SummerSlam and defeat everyone's hero. Defeat the man who has tormented me for years, Randy Orton. And no one believed me. You all thought that I was the flavor of the month here on SmackDown, and that Orton would silence me at SummerSlam. But that didn't happen. Instead, I did exactly what I said I would do. I walked into SummerSlam, beat Randy Orton in the middle of this ring, and walked out the new World Heavyweight Champion!" Cody said that this moment is one that nobody can steal from him. "You're all sad that tonight, Rey Mysterio will give his retirement speech? Who gives a damn about Rey Mysterio when the greatest wrestler in the world today is the World Heavyweight Champion!? Randy Orton can't take this moment from me because he couldn't get the job done. Not even Teddy Long can take this moment from me. I was informed moments ago by Teddy that just like WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, I will be defending my title in a Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions." Cody said that he isn't worried at all about the Scramble match because there isn't anyone out there who can beat him. The audience then erupted as the theme of Randy Orton hit. The Viper made his way out to the stage, the World Title absent from him for the first time since May. Orton told Cody that he does have to hand it to him. "You did exactly what you said you would do. You beat me at SummerSlam and claimed the World Heavyweight Championship. And you did it without anyone's help. But we all know that's only because I kicked your brother in the skull last week, and Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig have left you high and dry for Brad Maddox." Cody was slightly annoyed by Orton's comments, but reiterated that nothing can ruin this moment for him. "Well then I apologize in advance, Cody, because I have a few things to get off my chest that will rain on your parade. As you just said, there will be a Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions for your title. And you claimed that you're not worried about it because there isn't anyone on the roster who can beat you. Newsflash, Cody. You don't have to be beaten to lose your title. And I was just informed by Teddy Long backstage that your first of four opponents in the Scramble match.....is me." The audience popped as Cody became more frustrated, but looked at the bright side of things. "You're actually satisfied with that, Orton? You're happy to be sharing your rematch clause with three other superstars?" asked Cody as he chuckled to himself. "Who said that was my rematch clause?" asked Orton. The "Viper" told Cody that he is a participant in the Scramble match, but that's not when he will be invoking his rematch clause. "My rematch clause will be used next week, when you defend the World Heavyweight Championship against me in a SummerSlam rematch!" The WWE Universe erupted for that announcement as Cody tried to keep his cool, telling Orton that he beat him once and he will beat him again. "We'll see,"said Orton as he made his way to the back while smirking.
A graphic was shown for the first of three Championship Scramble qualifying matches. Daniel Bryan takes on Alberto Del Rio, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes was shown walking into a sky box here in the arena. It was already announced that Randy Orton will be one of the four challengers in the Championship Scramble match at Night of Champion. And now, Cody will watch throughout the night as his other three challengers will qualify.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH - ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. DANIEL BRYAN: A fantastic bout to kick things off tonight on SmackDown. While Del Rio was coming off of a victory on the SummerSlam Pre-Show, Bryan was coming off of a loss in a Triple Threat match. As Bryan was climbing onto the top rope, he became distracted by the audience's boos. "No!" he shouted, to which they responded with "Yes!" Bryan went back and forth with the WWE Universe, taking his eye off of Del Rio. The "Mexican Aristocrat" then hit Bryan with an Enziguri, causing him to fall from the top rope onto the canvas. Del Rio covered Bryan, picking up the victory.
- The audience popped for Del Rio as he stood to his feet, raising his arms in victory. A graphic appeared on the screen, confirming Del Rio's qualification for the Championship Scramble match. Del Rio looked up at the sky box where Cody Rhodes was sitting, motioning for the World Heavyweight Championship that he will look to make his at Night of Champions.
- Backstage, Matt Striker was shown standing by with SmackDown General Manager, Teddy Long. Striker asked Teddy for his comments on Brad Maddox's announcement that he signed Ryback to an exclusive RAW contract. Teddy said that Ryback's original contract expired Monday morning, and was hoping to re-sign him. But it would appear that Maddox got to him first, and Ryback is now exclusively on RAW. "But when one door opens, another one closes. There's another superstar whose contract expired on Monday, and Maddox had intentions on signing. But I returned the favor to the new RAW GM, and am pleased to announce that I have signed that superstar to a SmackDown exclusive contract. And you'll see him in action tonight."
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning from the break, Daniel Bryan was shown backstage, sitting on a crate as he shook his head back and forth while murmuring "No." Bryan was soon approached by Kurt Angle, who received a huge pop from the WWE Universe. Angle simply laughed at Bryan before continuing on.
- AJ LEE DEF. MAXINE: A solid Divas bout here. The new No. 1 contender for Eve's Divas Championship, AJ, was able to score the victory after hitting Maxine with a Shining Wizard.
- AJ stood to her feet, as she celebrated her victory, receiving a nice ovation from the audience. She made her way up the entrance ramp, motioning for the Divas Championship that she will be looking to capture from Eve at Night of Champions in four weeks.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho was shown in his locker room when Scott Stanford walked in, asking for Y2J's thoughts on having to face Sheamus tonight in a Championship Scramble qualifier. Jericho said that he considers Sheamus a close friend. The two of them fought against Wrestling Royalty for weeks, and gave their all this past Sunday to try and save Ric Flair's position as the General Manager of RAW. None of that went as planned, but he still considers Sheamus to be one of the best wrestlers in the world. "But I'm not going to sugar coat anything. If I have to go through Sheamus in order to get to Cody Rhodes and the World Heavyweight Championship, I will. And I'll do it with a smile on my face."
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for next Monday's edition of RAW. After shocking the world at SummerSlam, John Laurinaitis will explain why he attacked Wade Barrett and costed Ric Flair the position as RAW General Manager. RAW, live next Monday on USA.
- Returning to SmackDown, the ring was shown filling up with several superstars for a Championship Scramble Qualifying Battle Royal. The theme of 3MB hit as Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, and Jinder Mahal all made their way down to the ring, one of them looking to rock the world by qualifying for the Scramble match. After R-Truth made his entrance next, the participants all stood in the ring as there were a few seconds of silence. The silence was soon broken as the theme of the Big Show! The audience erupted as the World's Largest Athlete made his way down to the ring for the first time since No Way Out. The participants, and World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes from his sky box, all looked on his shock as Show entered the ring. Finally, Kurt Angle made his way down to the ring, not intimidated by the Big Show as he immediately got in his face.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING BATTLE ROYAL - BIG SHOW LAST ELIMINATES HEATH SLATER: As the first hour of SmackDown came to a close, so did the dreams of nine other men who had hoped to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions. The first elimination came when all participants went after the Great Khali, working in unison to toss him over the top rope. Hunico, Justin Gabriel, Jinder Mahal, Tyson Kidd, and R-Truth all took their plunges to the floor before we were left with the final four. Kurt Angle, Big Show, Heath Slater, and Drew McIntyre all stood in a corner, staring back at each other. The two remaining members of 3MB worked together, going after Angle and Show. McIntyre attempted to hit Angle with the Future Shock DDT, but the Olympic Gold Medalist was able to counter and delivered an Angle Slam over the top rope. After Big Show planted Slater with a Chokeslam, Angle came up behind the "World's Largest Athlete" and hit a massive German Suplex! Angle brought his straps down, signaling the Ankle Lock. However, Daniel Bryan ran down to the ring and tossed Angle over the top rope! Bryan immediately bolted out of the ring and up the entrance ramp as Angle was furious. Angle could be seen mouthing the words "You stupid son of a b***h" as he made chase for Bryan. It was now down to Big Show and Heath Slater. Slater stirred to his feet, trying to calculate his attacks. Show was able to easily push Slater away, grasping his throat. He pushed Slater over the top rope, but the frontman on 3MB managed to hang on. He stood on the ring apron with his attention away from the ring, playing air guitar while shouting "Can't eliminate me, baby!" When Slater turned around, Show knocked his lights out with the Knockout Punch, causing the dazed Slater to fall to the floor.
- Big Show raised his fist in the air, letting out a shout as he was declared the winner of the Battle Royal. An updated graphic for the Championship Scramble match was shown as we now know that Big Show will join Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio as the challengers for Cody Rhodes' World Heavyweight Championship. Show stared at Cody from his sky box, sending a message that at Night of Champions, the "World's Largest Athlete" will be gunning for the World Heavyweight Championship.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to Friday Night SmackDown, Rey Mysterio was shown arriving to the arena, greeting several workers and superstars who thanked him and wished him luck in the future, Mysterio will give his retirement speech, later tonight.
- Cutting to the arena, the theme of Antonio Cesaro hit as the Intercontinental Champion made his way out to the ring. Cesaro grabbed a microphone, reminding the WWE Universe of when he won the Intercontinental Championship. "I captured this title on my very first night here on SmackDown. And I'm all of you believed that I got lucky that night, and my luck would run out instantly. But that wasn't the case because I'm not a champion due to luck. I am a champion due to my undeniable ability. Sheamus, Big Show, and Alberto Del Rio, all former WWE Champions, couldn't get the job done. I have proven that I am not only the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, but that the Swiss rule the world. Nobody can beat the Swiss. Nobody can beat the Intercontinental Champion. Nobody can beat Antonio Cesaro." Cesaro raised the Intercontinental Title high in the air, giving a grin as the WWE Universe showered him with boos. Suddenly, the theme of Dean Ambrose hit as the crowd's boos turned to mostly cheers. Ambrose stepped into the ring, taking a microphone as he approached the Intercontinental Champion. "Cesaro, I'm not going to doubt your ability. You are a tremendous competitor and you probably deserve to be the Intercontinental Champion. But to say that nobody can beat you is a dire understatement." Ambrose said that Cesaro can brag all he wants about beating superstars such as Sheamus, Big Show, and Alberto Del Rio, but he's forgetting one fact. "None of them are as vicious as I am. As sick and twisted as I am. For months, you have done nothing but attempt to prove that you're of a greater breed. A greater nationality.. But for once, don't worry about someone's nationality. Worry about their rationality, or lack thereof. Because I guarantee you that if you were step into this ring with me and put the Intercontinental Title on the line, I wouldn't just beat you, I would tear you to pieces. Engulf you in a flame that is Dean Ambrose and eviscerate you." The audience popped for Ambrose as Cesaro stared at him. "Dean, you must be out of your mind. It's clear that you are, but seriously. I am not just a tremendous competitor, but an esteemed gentlemen. And as both of those, I would prefer not to defend my prestigious Intercontinental Championship against a derange psychopath," said Cesaro. "So stop wasting your time, Ambrose, and seek professional help." The Intercontinental Champion then left the ring as Ambrose stared at him, keeping his eyes locked on both Cesaro and the Intercontinental Title.
- Backstage, Sheamus was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Chris Jericho in a Championship Scramble Qualifying match, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A recap of this past Wednesday's live edition of NXT was shown, which saw Seth Rollins retain the NXT Championship against Damien Sandow. Following the match, Rollins was attacked by Trent Barreta, who became the No. 1 contender earlier in the night by winning the Elimination Chase. Trent will get his opportunity against Rollins for the NXT Championship, October 10th on iPPV.
- CHAMPIONSHIP SCRAMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH - SHEAMUS DEF. CHRIS JERICHO: An incredible main event to SmackDown, perhaps one of the best all year on television. Tons of near falls, including Sheamus kicking out of the Codebreaker. As Y2J was attempting another Codebreaker, Sheamus countered it, placing Jericho in position for White Noise. Jericho slid off of Sheamus' grip, pulling the "Celtic Warrior" down to the canvas to lock in the Walls of Jericho. Sheamus was able to kick Jericho away, catching him with a Brogue Kick as he bounced off of the ropes. Sheamus got the cover on Jericho to get the victory.
- The Bakersfield audience erupted for Sheamus as he stood to his feet, raising his arms in victory after a hard fought battle. He assisted Jericho up to his feet as the two stared at one another. Y2J then extended his hand to Sheamus, who accepted the hand shake. After Jericho left to the backstage area, Sheamus turned his attention to World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes in the sky box. The stage is now set for Night of Champions. Cody will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, and Sheamus in a Championship Scramble match. Booker T stated on commentary that from the looks of it, Cody's reign may be over before it ever gets started.
- A graphic was shown for the retirement speech of Rey Mysterio, coming up next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to SmackDown, the video package that was shown at the start of the show for Rey Mysterio aired once again. Following that, we cut to the arena in Bakersfield as theme of Mysterio hit to a massive ovation. Mysterio made his way out to the stage, slapping the hands of everyone in the front row. He greeted everyone at ringside, much like he did at SummerSlam following his match. He grabbed a microphone before stepping to the ring, overwhelmed by the chants of "Thank you, Rey!" Mysterio said that the world of wrestling wasn't meant for men of his stature. "If you had told any promote back in the day that I would be World Heavyweight Champion, they would have laughed at you. And that's the general reaction that most people had to me. They never believed that a luchadore could reach great heights. And I didn't believe it myself at times. But I proved them wrong. I showed that the size of the person doesn't matter. What does is the size of their heart. Their passion, will, and determination to succeed will get them where they want, and even further." Mysterio said that he remembers the night he debuted on SmackDown, and was afraid that he set the bar too high for himself. "My first night on this show, I jumped off of a Steel Cage. And I thought to myself 'I'm not going to be able to top that.' But thanks to the love and support from you all, the WWE Universe, I didn't have to." He then said that despite all of the injuries and all of the nights on the road away from his friends and family, he would do all of this again. "Because I love this. I love coming out through the curtain and hearing the reactions from everyone. I love competing in this ring and giving it my all every night to make sure that everyone who comes out to the myself and the WWE go home happy. And my passions for what I do has ended up forcing me to retire. But I wouldn't take any of it back for anything." Mysterio then thanked many superstars, past and present. "Kurt Angle, Edge, Chavo, Chris Jericho, Big Show, Billy Kidman, Batista, JBL, Shawn Michaels, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara. I'm probably forgetting so many people, but I just want to say thank you to each and every single person who has helped me in my career, and who I hope I have helped as well. Um, Vickie Guerrero," said Mysterio as the audience responded with massive boos for her. Mysterio said that he understands that the WWE Universe may not like her, but does have to give credit where credit is due. "I do have to thank you, Vickie. Raquel, I've known you since you were a little girl. And I may not agree with everything you're doing down in NXT, but the future is bright for you. And Eddie..." said Mysterio as the audience popped huge for the mention of "Latino Heat." "Eddie, I love you. I miss you. And I hope I've made you proud." Mysterio thanked the audience one more time, saying that without them, none of this would have ever come to fruition. "I'll never forget any of you, and I hope you all never forget about me. Thank you." Mysterio made his way up the entrance ramp as the audience gave him a standing ovation.
- Backstage, Mysterio was shown walking through the gorilla position, where the entire locker room stood against both walls. They all applauded Rey as he thanked them. Mysterio shook Chris Jericho's hand, who pulled him in for a hug. As Mysterio continued on, he met Alberto Del Rio, the two former rivals shaking hands and smiling. Mysterio then came across Kurt Angle, who he mentioned in his speech. Angle hugged Mysterio, a bit teary eyed. Also in tears was the Big Show, who Rey embraced as well. Finally at the end of the isle was Sin Cara. The two masked luchadores hugged one another, just as they did following their classic match at SummerSlam. Mysterio then walked off towards the outside of the arena, leaving SmackDown one final time.

Smackdown Review
Honestly what touched my heart more than anything else here was Rey Mysterio's retirement speech on Smackdown because it was just so emotional that literally I think I was on the verge of tears especially when he mentioned Eddie Guerrero in his speech and then he even went as far as to mention Eddie's widow Vickie and Eddie & Vickie's daughter Raquel but then mentioning the superstars he had to thank like Edge, JBL, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Big Show, etc., I loved it, and then the ending when Rey walks off into the sunset walking into the backstage and being greeted by an onslaught of superstars applauding him and some even in tears hugging him
Loved Big Show making his return here on Smackdown returning with a bang qualifying for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match by winning a Battle Royal last eliminating Heath Slater, Big Show could be the biggest threat in the Scramble Match
I honestly wanted either man Sheamus or Jericho to qualify for the Scramble Match but only one of them could and it was a great match but imagine if Jericho had turned heel after losing this match by attacking Sheamus right after the match, now that would have been shocking and unexpected but I wonder where does Jericho go from here? Because we know Sheamus is in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble while Jericho is not, well Jericho could always set his sights on the WWE Intercontinental Championship winning it for a 10th time by feuding with Cesaro
Ambrose vs Cesaro for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at some point, you teased it and I actually loved it because it looks like Cesaro is afraid, he is genuinely afraid of Ambrose and I honestly would not blame him if he was, because Ambrose is a deranged psychopath and Cesaro has never faced someone as vicious and as emotionless or as remorseless as Ambrose, but if Ambrose ends up going for that gold, it will be his first chance at winning a major title here in WWE
It seems AJ is picking up even more momentum heading into her Night of Champions encounter facing the WWE Divas Champion Eve, but I don't see AJ winning the big one with her only coming up short again
Bryan essentially costing Angle a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship and only because Angle was laughing at Bryan earlier after Bryan lost his qualifier, I say that is the biggest mistake Bryan could make especially when Angle gets his hands on him and we all know he will and when he does, he will make Bryan tap like a little girl to the Ankle Lock
Del Rio is in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble qualifying by beating Bryan, I loved this match up the most
But as for the opening segment of Smackdown, with Rhodes and Orton, loved it, Rhodes' title reign could be over before it even starts especially in a Scramble Match because Rhodes has never ever been in a Scramble Match but Orton never has been in a Scramble either so he is also at a disadvantage
Great Smackdown episode and I can't wait until RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent episode of Smackdown here. You did a great job with Rey's retirement as you didn't add any fire or anything, you just let him have his final moment and walk away which was well done. The rest of the show was nice and I see you're going with the all-title match pay-per-view. You've already got a good champion scrambe for the two main titles set up, but I'm curious about the guys who aren't involved in title feuds, such as Jericho, Angle or Bryan, whether you're going to add those to title matches so you can get them on the card. I know Bryan/Angle will be an awesome match once it takes place.
A reply on my diary would be much appreciated!

-Cody as World Heavyweight Champ is awesome, really nice opening promo to build towards not only the Scramble but the rematch, interested in both. -Del Rio going into the scramble is a good choice, would have liked to have seen Bryan go in too though. -It's awesome that Angle is back in this diary, got pumped when I realised that. -Angle getting thrown out of the Battle Royal by Bryan was sweet, a match between the two of them should be awesome. -Cesaro & Ambrose should also be a great program. -Jericho/Sheamus was interesting and the scramble match looks pretty stacked. Looking forward to it. -The Mysterio retirement angle was really really well done, and if his eventual retirement is like that it will be a very classy move.
Overall it was a great show and I will be following closely, both Scramble matches look like they will be awesome.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Following the signature WWE intro, we were taken directly to the arena here in Milwaukee as the former RAW General Manager and Executive Vice President, John Laurinaitis, was shown standing in the ring. The audience drained Laurinaitis with boos as he gave his usual introduction. He then said that last Sunday at SummerSlam, he shocked the world by attacking Wade Barrett and subsequently costing Ric Flair the position that he once held of RAW General Manager. "The WWE Universe have been asking one simple question - why? Why did I hit Wade Barrett with a chair? What did Wade Barrett ever do to me? It's simple, actually. For weeks after my return, I made it clear why I was back, and that was to get my revenge on the man who costed me my job at Extreme Rules. The world assumed I was referring to John Cena and CM Punk as they were the two men who defeated my team in the War Games match. But just who was leading my team? Who promised me victory in War Games? Who was WWE Champion at the time thanks to me? I instilled every ounce of trust that I had into Wade Barrett, because I believed that he would be able to get the job done and rid the WWE of Punk. Instead, he failed. And because of that, I lost my job." Laurinaitis then said that karma came back for Barrett two months later when an injury forced him to vacate the WWE Championship. "But it wasn't just you who I was aiming for. In the process of attacking you at SummerSlam, I also screwed over Ric Flair. I killed two birds with one stone by getting my revenge on you, and the man who took my job after Extreme Rules. But now, all is right in the WWE. Ric Flair is without a job, and Wade Barrett is without anything to his name. So right now, I want to personally thank the man who I believe will carry Monday Night RAW into the future. The only man who can match my nature and talents as General Manager. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Brad Maddox!"
- Maddox made his way down to the ring, along with his "Administration" of WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, Assisting Supervisor Summer Rae, The Miz, Roman Reigns, and the WWE Tag Team Champions Wrestling Royalty. All seven of them entered the ring, greeting Laurinaitis. Before Maddox spoke, Laurinaitis made something clear to him and the rest of the WWE Universe. "I take no credit for anything at SummerSlam. You're the General Manager right now because of your hard work. Because you assembled a magnificent team full of winners. Don't listen to those who say that I aided you in winning the Elimination match, because I didn't. You're right where you should be, Mr. Maddox," said Laurinaitis. Maddox told "Big Johnny" that he truly does appreciate his kind words. "And don't worry. We're in the same boat. I don't know why everyone is suggesting that you had something to do with my victory at SummerSlam. You attacking Wade Barrett led to nothing but a crushed skull for Wade." Maddox then said what stands before the WWE Universe is the greatest assembly of superior talent in WWE history. "These men, and lady, standing with me are not favored, but superior. You have the WWE Tag Team Champions, Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig. The fastest rising star on Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns. The beautiful Summer Rae. The most must-see star of all time, The Miz. And last but most certainly not least, the WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler. And of course, myself and Mr. John Laurinaitis. There are two missing pieces to this picture as well. The World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry, and his agent, Paul Heyman." A ton of boos emerged from the audience for the mention of Heyman, who made his return last Monday. Maddox stated that both Heyman and Henry will be speaking later on tonight. "But as for now, this is the unity that will forever oversee RAW. This is the Maddox Administration." Maddox then said that while this is a closed party, there is room for one more. "Guys like John Cena, CM Punk, Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, and Wade Barrett have burned any possible bridges to this Administration, but that's all fine and dandy. Because we don't need them. But there is one superstar who we want to welcome with open arms. I see a lot of potential in him, and I can tell that you all in the WWE Universe do as well. So Ryback....the invitation is on the table. Make the smart decision. Don't fight us. Join the fight with us," said Maddox, extending an invitation out to the undefeated monster, who poses as a threat to Dolph Ziggler's WWE Championship in the Scramble match at Night of Champions. "That is all for tonight, folks. Please enjoy the show, and don't forget to than myself, John Laurinaitis, and Paul Heyman for making all of this poss-" WOOO!
- The audience erupted as the iconic theme of Ric Flair hit. A few seconds passed, but the "Nature Boy" soon made his way out to the stage! The Maddox Administration looked on in shock as Flair eyed both Maddox and Laurinaitis from a distance. "Johnny! You screwed me over at SummerSlam. And why? All because I took your job? And because you wanted revenge on Wade Barrett? You got exactly what you wanted, but you also got something that you're going to dread. And that's a pissed off Nature Boy!" The audience popped for Flair again as Maddox tried to resolve the issue, but was instantly cut off. "You shut your mouth, Maddox. I'll get you at some point. Not tonight, because Johnny is going to get his right here on Milwaukee. You heard me right, Johnny! I want your ass in that ring tonight!" More applause came for Flair as he laid out the challenge to John Laurinaitis for a match tonight. Maddox stepped in, shooting down Flair's proposal. "Flair, I don't know who you think you are, but you're not the one that calls the shots anymore around here. This is my show now, and I'm not going to give you a match with Mr. Laurinaitis." Laurinaitis told Maddox that he doesn't have to do that. "You know what? If Flair wants me in this ring tonight, then I say make the match, Mr. Maddox," said Laurinaitis as the audience erupted. Flair had a huge grin on his face as Maddox looked hesitant, but met Laurinaitis' request. "If that's what you want, Mr. Laurinaitis, then I suppose I can give it to you. Tonight, in this ring, it will be Ric Flair versus John Laurinaitis!" Flair nodded his head in approval, saying that he's going to kick the living crap out of Johnny tonight. Flair's theme hit once again, the "Nature Boy" letting out a "Woo" directed at the Maddox Administration.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to RAW, a recap of the opening segment was shown as tonight, Ric Flair will go one on one with John Laurinaitis. Cutting to another camera backstage, Laurinaitis was shown with General Manager Brad Maddox and the rest of their Administration, all of them questioning why "Big Johnny" would accept Flair's challenge. "Look at it this way. Even if Flair were to beat me tonight, I have you all at my side. And I know that I won't have a single thing to worry about," said Laurinaitis. He then told Maddox not to worry about him. "Worry about getting Ryback in on this," he said as the General Manager hopes to sway the undefeated monster towards his Administration.
- JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTER DEF. R-TRUTH TO BECOME THE NO.1 CONTENDER TO THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: Prior to the match, it was announced that the winner would go on to meet Christian for the United States Championship at Night of Champions. Speaking of Captain Charisma, he was on hand at the announce table to watch this very solid opening contest. After Truth missed an Axe Kick, Swagger was able to plant him with the Patriot Bomb to get the victory.
- The audience booed as Swagger stood to his feet, Zeb Colter entering the ring to raise his arm in victory. Christian looked on from the announce table, staring at the man who will challenge him for the United States Championship at Night of Champions. "We the people!" shouted Swagger towards Christian. Can Swagger and Colter take one giant step towards "reclaiming America" by capturing the United States Championship in three weeks?
- Backstage, Wade Barrett was shown walking down a corridor, shouting for John Laurinaitis. He soon approached the door of Brad Maddox's office, repeatedly banging on it. CM Punk soon approached Barrett, telling him that he was "doing it wrong." "Johnny! You, Maddox, and the rest of your ass-backwards minions get out here now!" shouted Punk. Soon, Summer Rae walked out of the room. "Of course. Clown Shoes and Janitor would send a woman to do their dirty work," said Punk. Summer told he and Barrett that they should keep the noise level down. "Mr. Maddox and Mr. Laurinaitis are both very busy men and can't have their superstars displaying anarchy," she said. Barrett told Summer that if Laurinaitis doesn't step out of the office, he's going to barge through the damn wall and get to him himself. Summer simply brushed off Punk and Barrett, telling them that if they do continue to act out of line, there will be consequences that start with their removal from the WWE Championship Scramble match. Summer went back into Maddox's office, leaving Punk and Barrett furious outside.

- A promo was shown for this Wednesday's edition of NXT, where NXT Champion Seth Rollins and Trent Barreta will sign the contract for their title match on October 10th's iPPV. Plus, the final four in the "Queen of NXT" Cup will be revealed. WWE NXT, this Wednesday on ION Television.
- RYBACK DEF. EVAN BOURNE: Last week, these two men were the final two in the Battle Royal to qualify for the WWE Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions. Tonight, Bourne was looking to gain a measure of revenge against Ryback, as well as to snap his undefeated streak. Bourne did put up a fight, but it proved to be useless as Ryback managed to tear through him. As Bourne Springboarded off of the top rope, Ryback caught him with a Meathook Clothesline in mid-air! Bourne was completely motionless as Ryback shouted "Finish it!" He hoisted Bourne up to his shoulders, planting him with Shell Shocked to get the victory.
- The Milwaukee crowd erupted for Ryback as the undefeated monster's streak remains intact. "Feed me more" he shouted repeatedly as cameras cut to the office of Brad Maddox, where he and the Administration were shown watching, still hoping to make Ryback a member.
- Remaining in the office of Brad Maddox, a whistle was heard as the Prime Time Players entered the room. Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig immediately stood up, aware of the Prime Time Players' proclamation to take their titles. Titus O'Neil told them to relax because they're not looking for trouble. "All we're looking for is an opportunity. And opportunity that you promised us last week, Mr. Maddox," said Young. Maddox stated that he did indeed make them a promise, and he's going to live up to his word. "Tonight, you two will have a No.1 contenders match against......I don't know.....how about Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder?" asked Maddox. "What?" asked both Wrestling Royalty and the Prime Time Players. "Are they even a team?" asked Hennig, to which Maddox responded "Probably not, but you two have taken out everyone else. May as well throw two losers together." Titus said that he and Young have no problem taking on Kofi and Ryder, because they know they're going to beat them and then take those WWE Tag Team Championships. "How 'bout that for millions of dollars, Ted?" asked Young as the Prime Time Players left the room. Maddox stated that he likes the both of them, to which DiBiase responded with "I hate them."
- In the parking lot area, a limousine was shown pulling up to the arena. Out came Paul Heyman along with his new client, Mark Henry. The two are heading to the ring to address the WWE Universe, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. A rematch from SummerSlam is set to take place as Cody Rhodes puts his newly-won World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Randy Orton. Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- Returning to the arena, the theme of Mark Henry hit to a chorus of boos. The "World's Strongest Man" made his way out along with his new agent, Paul Heyman. The two stepped into the ring as Heyman grabbed a microphone, introducing himself to the audience. "Last Sunday at SummerSlam, the world witnessed as grueling of a scene as ever in the WWE. The poster boy of the company, John Cena, with a crimson mask and all, fell to the feet of one Brock Lesnar. Thus making Brock the new face of the WWE. But John Cena didn't seem to understand that. He still had the audacity to show his face the following night, in denial at the fact that he was beaten to a bloody pulp at SummerSlam. And top top it all off, Cena felt that it would be a good idea to call out Brock Lesnar. Well as Brock's agent, I made it clear to Cena that he and Brock are finished, and that's one victory that he will never be able to get back. But if he was still looking for a fight, then I had someone in line ready for him. And that man is not just any man. But the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry!" Henry grabbed the microphone, saying that he spent months on the shelf waiting for his opportunity to step back into the ring and do what he does, which is crumble bodies without any remorse. He did just that at SummerSlam, and had a huge hand in making Brad Maddox the General Manager of RAW. And the following night, Paul Heyman approached him with a business proposal. And now, he has no problem ripping John Cena apart to get a message across. "You're old news, Cena. You're no longer the face of the WWE. You have no business being here anymore, and it's time for those who do deserve the top spot to claim it. I've been waiting 16 years for the chance to be 'the man' in the WWE. And now that you're out of the picture, the opportunity to join Brock Lesnar as the face of the WWE is mine for the taking. You made a wise decision not showing up here tonight. And if you know what's good for you, John, you'll stay the hell out of my way." Heyman took the mic one last time, saying that he would like to confirm that he a part of the business partnership between Brad Maddox and John Laurinaitis. "Myself and the both of them, we all have great minds for the business. And putting great minds together will only result in success. Success for RAW, success for the WWE, but most of all, success for the Administration. And along with all of that success comes failure for those who deserve it. John Cena, you are no exception. And like my client, Mark Henry, put it, stay the hell out of our way." Heyman placed the microphone down as he raised Henry's arm the audience draining them in boos.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- At this time, the same ballroom-esque vignette from last week was shown, featuring a silhouette dancing. A voice over could then be heard saying "Fandango" in an exaggerated manner. A graphic then appeared that read "Fandango: Coming Soon."
- Returning to Monday Night RAW, Josh Mathews was shown standing by with Divas Champion, Eve. Mathews asked for her thoughts on AJ Lee becoming the No. 1 contender for her championship, seeing as how she was absent last week. "Excuse me? I wasn't 'absent' last week. There were other aspects of business for me to attend to, Josh. I'm a very busy woman. But to answer you question, why? Why is AJ getting yet another opportunity at my Divas Championship? If she were meant to be champion, she would have taken it in either of her first two opportunities. But if she couldn't get it done there, why should I believe she stands a chance now. In fact, I recall her saying that she would do anything to become champion. We'll see if she really means that," said Eve before leaving the interview scene.
- ZACK RYDER AND KOFI KINGSTON DEF. PRIME TIME PLAYERS TO BECOME THE NO.1 CONTENDERS TO THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: A very good tag team bout here with a lot riding on the line as the winners would go on to Night of Champions to challenge Wrestling Royalty for the WWE Tag Team Championships. After Kofi Kingston leaped over the top rope onto Titus O'Neil, Zack Ryder caught Darren Young with the Rough Ryder to get the win.
- The audience popped for Ryder and Kofi as the two celebrated their victory, a graphic appearing on the stage to officially name them the new No.1 contenders. WWE Tag Team Champions Wrestling Royalty were shown in the backstage area, seemingly unimpressed with the two men who they will defend their titles against at Night of Champions.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Former General Managers and now bitter rivals collide as Ric Flair takes on John Laurinaitis.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning from the commercial break, Ryback was shown walking down a corridor when he was stopped by RAW General Manager, Brad Maddox. Hey, Ry. How are things going?" asked Maddox, to which he get no response from the undefeated monster. "Alright then. I'm sure that earlier in the evening, you heard about my invitation to you. We in the Maddox Administration feel that someone like yourself has a lot to offer." Ryback remained silent, simply staring at Maddox. "I see you need some time to think about this. Here's my card. Like it? I made it myself. But anyways, just come by my office whenever you'd like and we can discuss this. Alright? Thanks, Ry," said Maddox before leaving, Ryback continuing to stare at him.
- AJ LEE DEF. NIKKI BELLA W/ BRIE BELLA: A decent Divas bout here, primarily used to build AJ's momentum as she heads into Night of Champions to meet Eve for the Divas Championship. At one point when the official restrained AJ, Nikki rolled out of the ring as she and Brie tried to perform "Twin Magic." AJ immediately noticed this, delivering a Baseball Slide to Brie. She then pulled Nikki out from underneath the ring, rolling her back into the ring. AJ then hit Nikki with the Shining Wizard to get the victory.
- AJ stood to her feet following the match, looking focused as ever as she continued to ride a wave of momentum heading into Night of Champions. As she was celebrating, the theme of Eve hit as the Divas Champion made her way out to the stage. She sarcastically congratulated AJ, saying that she is certainly getting lucky as of late. But it's all for nothing because he luck will run out at Night of Champions. AJ then cut Eve off, saying that she's tired of hearing her berate her. "I know you don't believe I can beat you at Night of Champions, and I'm sure most other people feel that way. But believe me when I say that I will. I will beat you and fulfill the dream that I have carried since I was twelve years old. And I'll do anything to make it happen," said AJ. "You'll do anything?" asked Eve as she had a grin on her face. "If you really mean that, AJ, then prove it. The last person who said that she would do anything to beat me was Beth Phoenix, and I made her pay the ultimate price. And now, you have to do the same. If you want this match at Night of Champions to happen, AJ, then you must put your career on the line." AJ's face was now blank as Eve told her that she wants an answer soon to her challenge. Eve turned around and began walking away, believing that AJ would hesitate to accept. "I'll do it," said AJ as Eve stopped in her tracks. The Divas Champion turned around, looking puzzled at AJ. She then began laughing to herself, telling AJ that she just made the biggest mistake of her life. And she could be right as AJ will put her career on the line at Night of Champions in an attempt at becoming the new Divas Champion.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to RAW, AJ Lee was shown walking down a corridor when Matt Striker approached her, asking if she was aware of the stipulation that she just accepted for her match against Eve at Night of Champions. AJ said that she was well aware, and easily could have said no. "But I had to say yes. Because for as long as I can remember, this has been my dream. And to be honest, if I can't be the Divas Champion, then I don't want to do this anymore. If I can't live my dream, then I'm done. And Eve thinks that this match is going to be a walk in the park for her. But I'm going to prove her and everyone else who has ever doubted me wrong. I'm going to fulfill my dream, and I don't care about the stipulation, because there's not a damn thing that Eve can do to stop me."
- Cutting to another camera, Ryback was shown in the locker room area when the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair approached him. Flair shook Ryback's hand, formally introducing himself. Ryback said that it was an honor to meet him, to which Flair responded "Holy crap, you can talk." Flair then told Ryback that he knows about the invitation that Brad Maddox gave him. "Ryback, I'm not telling you to take my side. I'm not telling you to take anyone's side. But I am asking for you to not take Maddox's side. Maddox, Laurinaitis, and Heyman only want you for one reason, and that's to either keep the WWE Championship on Dolph Ziggler or once again give it to The Miz at Night of Champions. You'll never succeed with them. You will simply be seen as another minion to them." Ryback simply stared at Flair, the "Nature Boy" unsure if his words were having any effect.
- BRODUS CLAY AND TENSAI W/ BRAY WYATT DEF. SANTINO MARELLA AND DERRICK BATEMAN: The debut of Tensai as the "2nd Child of Wyatt" as he and Brodus Clay battled the comedic duo of Santino Marella and Derrick Bateman. During the match, Bray Wyatt watched from the stage on a rocking chair, eerily rocking back and forth as his "children" displayed complete and utter dominance, delivering a Double Running Splash to Santino to get the victory.
- Following the match, Tensai and Brodus left the ring as they slowly made their way up to the stage, where Bray Wyatt sat on his rocking chair. The two "children" bowed to Wyatt, the leader of the "Church" letting out a maniacal laugh.
- Backstage, John Laurinaitis was shown walking down a corridor with the rest of the Maddox Administration. Suddenly, Maddox stopped all of them. "Look around your surroundings, everyone," said the RAW GM. "We're in a corridor," said The Miz. "It's not just a corridor. It's a corridor filled with 8 winners. And I have a warm, good feeling that before the end if the night, there will be 9 of us. Because what we need is to be fed more. Feed us more! Feed us more!" shouted Maddox as Laurinaitis and the rest of the Administration joined him. Laurinaitis meets Ric Flair in our main event, next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to RAW, the theme of John Laurinaitis hit as he made his way out to the stage, sporting a full body suit. RAW General Manager Brad Maddox, WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, Assisting Supervisor Summer Rae, The Miz, Roman Reigns, and WWE Tag Team Champions Wrestling Royalty all joined Laurinaitis, standing at ringside in support of him and to stack the deck against Ric Flair. Moments later, the theme of the "Nature Boy" hit as he made his way out to the stage. He looked on at Laurinaitis and the Maddox Administration, who all laughed as they believed that Flair was on his own. He then made a gesture towards the backstage area as CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Kofi Kingston, and Zack Ryder all made their way out to a huge pop from the Milwaukee audience. Laurinaitis, Maddox, and the Administration were all livid as Flair and his squad of superstars marched down to the ring, the "Nature Boy" no longer at a disadvantage.
- RIC FLAIR W/ CM PUNK, WADE BARRETT, KOFI KINGSTON, AND ZACK RYDER DEF. JOHN LAURINAITIS W/ BRAD MADDOX, WWE CHAMPION DOLPH ZIGGLER, THE MIZ, ROMAN REIGNS, WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS WRESTLING ROYALTY, AND SUMMER RAE: Not the most technical of main events in RAW history, but the excitement that came along with the star power at ringside was enough to make it a memorable one. Not wanting to create an altercation, the Maddox Administration never got physically involved in the bout with Punk, Barrett, Kofi, and Ryder all keeping their eyes on them. Soon, Flair managed to lock in the Figure Four Leg Lock, forcing John Laurinaitis to submit.
- The audience erupted as Flair was announced victorious, not releasing the Figure Four Leg Lock on Laurinaitis. This caused Ziggler, Miz, Reigns, DiBiase and Hennig to jump into the ring. Ziggler and Miz both got one shot in on Flair before Punk, Barrett, Kofi and Ryder came in to defend the "Nature Boy." A huge brawl broke out between all men who will meet in both the WWE Championship Scramble match and the WWE Tag Team Championship match at Night of Champions. The number advantage of the Maddox Administration soon caught up to the four faces, not able to overcome the 5-on-4 advantage. However, the theme of Ryback hit a massive pop from the audience. The undefeated monster marched down to the ring, Maddox believing that he was going to align himself with the Administration as he has been hoping for. Instead, Ryback entered the ring and delivered a Meathook Clothesline to DiBiase and Hennig! The audience went wild for Ryback as he went after the rest of the Maddox Administration, the four faces getting back to their feet and aiding him. After the house was cleaned, Maddox, Laurinaitis, and Summer regrouped the Administration as they all retreated up the entrance ramp. "Ryback just told Brad Maddox to take his invitation and shove it!" said Jerry Lawler ecstatically on commentary. Flair, Punk, Barrett, Kofi, Ryder and Ryback all stood tall in the ring, declaring war on the Maddox Administration.

Loved RAW man I really did especially Flair vs Big Johnny in the main event, but what I loved even more is Heyman & Henry aligning with each other with Henry becoming Heyman's new client, but I see Brock coming back at some point and then what then? And Swagger becoming the new #1 Contender for the WWE United States Championship, Swagger can reclaim America with Colter by taking the title from Christian who is Canadian and not a real American while Swagger and Colter they are real Americans
Kofi and Ryder becoming the new #1 Contender's for the WWE Tag Team Championships beating PTP, I love it
Ryback with Flair backstage, loved that moment too
But mostly the ending of RAW is what did it for me

Good opening promo with the combination of Big Johnny and Brad Maddox, two of the best ever! Ric Flair versus Laurinaitis tonight will be... interesting, I suppose? Jack Swagger beating R-Truth to become the number one contender is obvious, and I anticipate he will either win or come close to winning at Night of Champions. Ryback beating Evan Bourne is obvious, and he looked like the usual boss in it. I love Brad Maddox. Throwing 'two losers' together? That's great. I love the idea of Paul Heyman being the agent for Mark Henry, and a good promo from the two of them. Haha, Kofi and Ryder actually winning? That's just weird. I do like the oddness of it though. AJ Lee winning is the obvious choice, and it will be obvious with her winning the Diva's Championship at Night of Champions. Holy crap, Ryback can talk. Brodus Clay and Tensai being a serious gimmick is hard to picture. Obvious win for them though as you promote the Children of Fatt. I mean, Wyatt. I just realized that Flair is supposed to be retired. Forever! At least in the WWE realm. Oh well, it's the WWE. Who cares about history. Love that Ryback joined Flair's side, and a good show here on Raw.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Following the intro video package, we cut directly to the Full Sail Arena as Briley Pierce as he stood in the ring with the seven Divas who have participated in the "Queen of NXT" Cup. After another weekend of NXT live events, the official standings have been finalized, and are as follows.
1) Raquel Diaz (9-1) 2) Paige (8-2) 3) Sofia Cortez (7-3) 4) Skyler Moon (6-4) 5) Audrey Marie (4-6) 6) Sasha Banks (3-7) 7) Emma (0-10)
- With the Final Four now determined, eliminations would be made for the three Divas who failed to make the cut. Briley approached Emma first, asking about her incredibly underwhelming performance in the cup. "Emma....you didn't win a single match. You have been eliminated, finishing in last place. Can you give us any words? asked Briley. Emma remained silent, performing her usual, awkward dance while leaving the ring and making her way to the back. Briley and the rest of the Divas stared at Emma, unsure of what to think. Briley then brought Sasha Banks to the center of the ring, who finished in sixth place. Sasha said she knew coming into this Cup, she was going to be viewed as an underdog due to her inexperience. She had set out to prove everyone wrong, but obviously, that wasn't the case. "But I'm not going to stop. Just because I've been eliminated now doesn't mean I'm out. I'll continue to work hard and improve. And someday, if there is ever another Cup, I guarantee that I will be ranked first." The audience applauded Sasha as she made her way to the back. Briley then interviewed Audrey Marie, who barely missed the cut, coming in fifth place. Audrey said that she wasn't going to remain mute like Emma, or pander to everyone like Sasha. "I should not only be in the Final Four, but I should be number one. No one deserves to be ahead of me. But the more that I think about it, the more I realize that I don't need this stupid competition. It doesn't mean anything, because I guarantee that when these other four are long forgotten about, I will be the most dominant Divas Champion that the WWE and NXT have ever seen." Audrey angrily made her way out of the ring, leaving to a chorus of boos.
- After Audrey left, Briley told the Full Sail audience to give a round of applause for the Final Four Divas remaining. Raquel Diaz, Paige, Sofia Cortez, and Skyler Moon have all made the cut, and will compete in the Fatal Four Way Elimination match next week to crown the first ever "Queen of NXT." Before Briley could interview any of them, Vickie Guerrero took the microphone. "Excuse me," she said to a thunderous amount of boos. "I said excuse me! Please allow me to introduce to you all, the Queen of NXT. My daughter, Raquel Diaz!" The audience continued to boo the duo until Paige took the microphone from Vickie. "You and your daughter haven't won a damn thing yet. And the only reason you're even in first place, Raquel, is because of your ignorant mum," said Paige to a loud pop. "Excuse me, Paige?!" asked Vickie. Paige and Vickie bickered back and forth until Skyler Moon let out a huge scream, silencing everyone. "Let's just all make peace, alright? We can't all win and become Queen of NXT, but we can all try our very best. And whoever wins will have earned it. So good to all of you next week," said Skyler as everyone else stared at her. Sofia Cortez finally came in, telling Skyler that she has no idea how she made the Final Four. "As a matter of fact, I have no idea how any of you made the Final Four. None of you come anywhere near the skill level that I possess. Paige, I was on my way to the first seed until you beat me. I haven't forgotten about that. And Raquel, I'll be sure not to embarrass you with your mother watching next week." Raquel and Vickie began bickering with Sofia. Paige tried to step in, but Skyler pulled her to the side and told her to calm down. It looked as if Skyler were giving Paige breathing techniques. Briley Piece tried to resolve the tension among all four Divas and Vickie Guerrero, but was unsuccessful as Sofia attacked Raquel. Paige tried to step into the action, but Skyler tried to pull her back, not yet finished giving her advice. Paige responded to her pacifism by delivering a Superkick to her. Raquel and Vickie both made their way up the entrance ramp, escaping the scuffle with Sofia. Paige and Sofia were left alone in the ring, the two staring at one another.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to NXT, the commentary duo of Tony Dawson and Bryon Saxton formally welcomed everyone to the show, following the chaotic segment with the NXT Divas moments ago. The two hyped the contract signing between NXT Champion Seth Rollins and Trent Barreta for their title match October 10th on iPPV, as well as an interview with Kassius Ohno that was conducted by Jim Ross earlier today.
- RICHIE STEAMBOAT DEF. COREY GRAVES: With the announcement last week of the NXT Tag Team Championships, Corey Graves was looking to prove to General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez why he and Jake Carter are the rightful recipients of the titles. As he was looking to lock in the 13th Step, Richie was able to kick him away. Graves collided with the top turnbuckle, stunning him momentarily as Richie rolled him up for the victory.
- The audience popped for Richie as he stood to his feet raising his arms in victory. Corey Graves, on the other hand, had a look of disbelief on his face. Richie's celebration was short-lived as Graves' tag team partner, Jake Carter, hit the ring and attacked him. Graves and Carter stomped away on Richie, working on his knee for a bit. Graves then teased the 13th Step, slowly beginning to apply it. Suddenly, the theme of Bo Rotundo hit a huge reaction. Rotundo, who was attacked by Graves and Carter a few weeks back, ran down to the ring and went after the two of them. Richie was back on his feet, joining Bo as they sent Graves and Carter out of the ring. The returning Bo and Richie stood tall in the ring, taunting Graves and Carter as they retreated.
- Backstage, NXT General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez was shown walking down a corridor when he was met by the "Intellectual Savior of the Masses," Damien Sandow. The former NXT Champion told Ricardo that he fully understands that he is no longer deemed a contender for the prestigious NXT Championship, though he is rather repulsed by that fact. "But I do have one piece of business that I am looking to attend to. Two weeks prior to this date, a strange masked competitor by the name of El Local scored an undeserving victory of me. I would to rectify that situation in a rematch with Mr. Local next week." Ricardo became very nervous, stuttering as he asked Sandow if he really wanted a match with El Local. "May I asked why you are sweating profusely?" asked Sandow. Ricardo said that he's not sure if El Local is available for next week. Sandow responded by saying that he will personally provide means of transportation for Mr. Local, if that is his issue. Ricardo, still nervous, eventually told Sandow that he has the match. "Excellent. I look forward to humiliating this 'El Local' gentleman next week," said Sandow. The commentary unit questioned why Ricardo was so hesitant to grant Sandow the match. Nonetheless, it would appear that Damien Sandow vs. El Local is now official for next week.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- At this time, the RAW Rebound was shown. The video package focused on the main event between Ric Flair and John Laurinaitis, with many superstars representing both men at ringside. Flair would win the match, only for the Maddox Administration to attack him. Flair's army of superstars would come to his aid, but were overwhelmed by the Administration's number advantage. Ryback would hit the ring, making the save for Ric Flair and his squad. Ryback, Flair, CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder all stood tall in the ring to close the show on a positive note.
- BIG E LANGSTON DEF. AIDEN ENGLISH: After being signed by General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez last week, Big E Langston had his first match as a singles competitor here tonight. With revenge against JTG still on his mind, Big E managed to run right through Aiden English, finishing him off with the Big Ending to get the victory.
- The audience erupted for Big E, victorious in his first match under contract. He then grabbed a microphone, delivering a message to JTG. "For months, you treated me like a piece of garbage. And now, all I want to is ti crumble you up like a piece of garbage. I know you're not here tonight, JTG, but you will be next week, which is where I am challenging you to a one on one match. And whether you accept my challenge or not, I promise you that this will be your fate." Big E then dropped the microphone, hoisting Aiden English up to his shoulders one more time. He hit a second Big Ending, making sure that his message to JTG is loud and clear.
- A graphic was shown for the contract signing between NXT Champion Seth Rollins and Trent Barreta, later tonight.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning from the commercial break, Jim Ross' interview with Kassius Ohno from earlier today. The two were in a dark lit room as J.R. asked Ohno for his honest thoughts on William Regal. "Everything I have ever said about Regal is honest. I once had a huge amount of respect for him. So much to the point that even when I was a world-renowned veteran in the 'minor leagues' as your kind like to put it, I still trained with Regal simply because I admired him and his work. When I was signed to NXT, I was honored at the opportunity to work with Regal. But as time went on, I began to realize something. The man who I once idolized was no more. The man who was 'born naughty' was now a part of the corporate machine, playing 'Mr. Nice Guy' every week. And I was going to keep to myself. What people fail to realize is that Regal struck first with the words that he had for me on commentary. And of course, Regal would criticize me behind my back." J.R. then asked Ohno for his thoughts on getting the opportunity to battle Regal on October 10th when NXT returns to iPPV. Ohno said that it's the moment he has been waiting for. "The moment where I can prove my superiority over Regal. And this is where all of those months training with Regal comes into play. I know every single move that he will make, because let's face it, a man like Regal at this point in his career will not evolve. Whereas the last time he and I were in a ring, I was nothing compared to what I am today. I'm stronger, faster and better. And Regal won't see a single thing coming." J.R. told Ohno that next week, he's going to interview William Regal and will play the footage of this interview for Regal to view. Ohno said that he's glad to hear that because he wants Regal to watch this interview. "Because Regal needs to hear the truth. And he's going to hear it from his successor, and the man who will end whatever fragment of a career he has left on October 10th.
- ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. RICK VICTOR: A very solid bout here. The Full Sail audience continues to become accustomed to Adrian Neville, giving the "Man That Gravity Forgot" a huge ovation. During the match, recently signed independent talent Adam Cole was shown backstage watching. In the end, Neville hit Rick Victor with a Corkscrew Shooting Star Press to get the victory.
- Neville stood to his feet following the match, raising his arms as the Full Sail audience cheered him on. Adam Cole was shown backstage once again, watching Neville before leaving. The commentary unit questioned why Cole was so interested in the match, but nonetheless, Adrian Neville continues to open the eyes of the WWE Universe here on NXT.
- Backstage, NXT Champion Seth Rollins was shown making his way down to the ring. He and Trent Barreta will sign the contract for their title match on October 10th, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning from the commercial break, a graphic was shown for NXT Homecoming, which will begin next week as former NXT rookie Daniel Bryan will return to where it all started for him in the WWE. Plus, the Queen of NXT will be crowned in a Fatal Four Way Elimination match with Raquel Diaz, Paige, Sofia Cortez and Skyler Moon. It all comes your way next week on NXT.
- In the ring, General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez was shown, ready for the contract signing between NXT Champion Seth Rollins and Trent Barrett. Trent made his way out first to a fair amount of heat from the Full Sail audience, though he didn't seem to pay any attention. NXT Champion Seth Rollins' theme hit to the loudest ovation of this night, the champion moshing on the stage before heading down to the ring. Once both men were in the ring, Ricardo told them before they sign the contract, they may want to have a quick look at the contract first. Trent told Ricardo that first of all, he doesn't read. Second, he wants to remind Rollins why he's here. "I defeated three other men to get here. Richie Steamboat, Alex Riley, and Tyson Kidd. If you asked anyone who would win the Elimination Chase, they probably said anyone but me. But in the end, I'm the one here, man. I defeated two other WWE Superstars and the son of a Hall of Famer. And don't get me wrong, Seth. I know your history. I know where you come from, and I know how much of an honor it is for you to be NXT Champion. But it's all going to vanish on October 10th. People all over social media won't be asking "Where's Trent?" anymore. Now, they'll all be asking "Where's Champ?" Trent then signed the contract, telling Rollins to go ahead as well. Ricardo asked Rollins to read the contract, but he didn't listen either. Rollins told Trent that he was right about one thing, and that was proving everyone wrong by winning the Elimination Chase. "If there's anyone in the locker room who deserves this opportunity more than any other superstar, it's definitely you Trent. But not in this situation. Not at my expense. On October 10th, with everyone watching on iPPV, I'm prepared for a battle with you. But I am also prepared to come out victorious with the NXT Championship still intact." Rollins then signed the contract as the match is now official for October 10th. Ricardo then told the both of them that he really wishes they had read the contract before signing. "I'm sure neither of you will have a problem with this, but still, you should have read the contract. Because I decided to make this match a bit more....special. So I added a stipulation to the match," said Ricardo. "Why didn't you tell me?" asked Trent, which angered Ricardo a bit as he did warn him. When Rollins asked what the stipulation was, Ricardo gave him the answer. "On October 10th, the two of you will compete for the NXT Championship in NXT's first ever Ladder Match!" The audience erupted for the announcement as both Rollins and Trent seemed more than satisfied with the announcement. Rollins raised the NXT Title high in the air as Trent stared at it, the two now aware that on October 10th, the title will be hanging the balance in a Ladder Match.

Wow I loved this episode of NXT especially the Contract Signing for Seth Rollins vs Trent Barreta at the next NXT iPPV for the WWE NXT Championship but that their match is going to be a Ladder Match for the WWE NXT Championship, with these 2 high-flyers in a ladder match, these 2 could possibly steal the show and if you build up this Ladder Match more, it could be as big as any in WWE history
But as for Regal vs Ohno, this feud has become personal in more ways than one and I for one love every second of it
Eddie Guerrero & Vickie Guerrero's daughter, Raquel Diaz, she is my pick to win the Queen of NXT Cup especially knowing that she is going to be in the Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match, knowing the lineage she comes from, 3rd generation diva the daughter of Eddie and Vickie the granddaughter of Gory Guerrero the niece of Chavo Sr. and the cousin of Chavo Jr. yes she is destined for greatness in WWE knowing the family she comes from, lying cheating stealing is what she grew up around and I think she will use her late father's tactics to win this match next week to become the Queen of NXT but I see her last eliminating Paige to win the Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match when she has to face Paige, Sofia Cortez and Skyler Moon
And I am loving this feud Damien Sandow is in with El Local, but I don't see it lasting long and why? Because personally Sandow doesn't even need to be on NXT anymore, and what he needs is to be called up to the main roster being called up to either RAW or Smackdown being a part of either roster's show
And as for Big E. I can't wait to see him finally get his hands on JTG, it's been a long time coming

NXT:
The Queen of NXT finals should be good, Paige winning would be good, but I can see you going with Diaz, which makes sense. I'd like to see Steamboat getting a promotion to the main roster soon as I'm not to high on the Steamboat/Rotunda tag team. That's mainly because I dislike Bo in real life as opposed to how it's being booked. Ricardo being GM & pulling double duty as El Local is entertaining as hell. Really looking forward to the Ohno/Regal match and Rollins/Baretta being in a ladder match is pretty cool. The iPPV should be good and I'm enjoying the start of the build up. Solid edition of the show, keep up the good work.

THEN. NOW. FOREVER. - Following the signature intro and pyrotechnics display, the usual commentary trio of Michael Cole, Josh Mathews, and Booker T welcomed everyone to Friday Night SmackDown! And tonight, in one of the biggest main events in recent memory on the blue brand, it is a rematch from SummerSlam. World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes defends his title against the former champion, Randy Orton. Plus, a preview of the Championship Scramble match at Night of Champions in three weeks as Sheamus goes one on one with Alberto Del Rio. All that and much more tonight on SmackDown.
- The theme of the Big Show hit to a great ovation from the Green Bay audience. Show made his way down to the ring, one week after making a successful return to SmackDown as he qualified for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble match taking place in three weeks at Night of Champions. Show stepped into the ring as he grabbed a microphone. The "World's Largest Athlete" asked if the WWE Universe missed him, which resulted in a massive amount of applause. Show said that about two months ago, he decided to step away from in-ring action for a bit to cool down, recharge his batteries, and be ready to return stronger and hungrier than ever. "And last week was the perfect opportunity. SummerSlam has come and gone, and Night of Champions is now right around the corner. And at Night of Champions will be a Championship Scramble match for the World Heavyweight Championship. When I made my return last week, I showed the world once again just how dominate I can be with multiple superstars standing in my way. I know that a Championship Scramble match is a bit different than a Battle Royal, but the amount of pain and destruction that I can orchestrate is the same. And if last week was any indicator, then the other four men standing in front of me at Night of Champions better be aware. Because the Worlds Largest Athlete is back, and he's ready to become the World Heavyweight Cha-"
- Before Show could finish his statement, he was interrupted by the arrival of World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes. He told Show that it's laughable that he even suggests that he could become champion at Night of Champions. "Show, there's a reason that you have been a championship drought for nearly ten years now. It's because the man who was once the World's Largest Athlete is nothing more than the World's Largest Joke." After the audience responded with heavy booing towards Cody, Show told him that it's laughable that he tells him this all the way up on the stage while he's in the ring. Cody told Show that he isn't an idiot. "I understand that if you wanted to, you could tear me apart piece by piece. But that's all you're capable of. Violence. Not victory. Which is what I will be accomplishing later tonight when I defeat Randy Orton for the second consecutive time." Cody then said that after Night of Champions, Show will be left with nothing and be forced to sign that RAW exclusive contract that Brad Maddox offered him because he'll be too much of an embarrassment to show his face on SmackDown. "My show," as Cody put it. "If you want to see me back up every word that I'm saying, you can watch me tonight, and experience the wave of the future that is Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions. Face it, Show. You will never have this title. It is mine, and it will be mine for a very, very long time to come." The audience continued to boo the World Heavyweight Champion as he made his way to the back, the Big Show simply staring on at him with a smirk on his face.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- DANIEL BRYAN DEF. TYSON KIDD: An incredible bout to kick things off tonight on SmackDown. Despite being the underdog coming into this match, Tyson Kidd was able to hold his own and gain a few close calls against the former World Heavyweight Champion. In the end, however, Bryan delivered a Dropkick to Kidd as he Springboarded off the top rope, following that up with the Yes! Lock to get the submission victory.
- Bryan kept the hold locked in on Kidd for a bit longer, pulling back violently before releasing it. The audience expressed their dismay for Bryan's victory as he thrust both of his arms into the air, repeatedly shouting "Yes!". Bryan's celebration was short-lived as Kurt Angle ran down to the ring, the audience popping huge for the Olympic Gold Medalist. Bryan immediately slid out of the ring, jumping over the barricade and evading through the audience. Angle stopped at the barricade, watching Bryan evacuate the arena to get away from him. The audience roared with chants of "Angle" as he grabbed a microphone. "Daniel Bryan, you stupid goat-faced son of a b***h! Last week, you screwed me out of the opportunity to become World Heavyweight Champion. And I swear, I will make you pay. Wherever you've gone into hiding, you will get your ass back in this ring tonight because you and I are going to settle this, and I guarantee I will snap your freakin' ankle!" The WWE Universe continued to commend Angle as he made it clear that his main priority at this time is revenge on Daniel Bryan.
- Backstage, Alberto Del Rio was shown in the locker room area when Matt Striker approached him, asking for his thoughts on facing Sheamus tonight. Del Rio said that he has nothing but respect for Sheamus and looks forward to the opportunity to meet him in the ring later tonight. "I also look forward to the opportunity to meet Sheamus again at Night of Champions in the Championship Scramble match. I look forward to the opportunity to also meet Randy Orton, Big Show and Cody Rhodes. But what I look forward to the most out of everything else is becoming the World Heavyweight Champion," said a very confident Del Rio.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, a small clip from Fozzy's new video "Sandpaper" was shown. The commentators noted that Chris Jericho is currently on tour with the band to promote their new album, but Y2J has made it clear that sooner than later, he will be ready to once again leave his mark on the WWE.
- Cutting to the arena, the theme of Antonio Cesaro hit as the Intercontinental Champion made is way out to the stage. Also on the stage was a bench press station. Cesaro said that there are many superior qualities that he holds over the rest of the SmackDown locker room. "I am a better competitor than every other superstar. I am a more esteemed gentlemen than any of them. But most of all, I am a champion," said Cesaro. He then said that while he holds all of those qualities over the other superstars, he also holds many qualities over the other champions. "I am smarter than the other champions. I am faster than the other champions. And I am also stronger than the other champions. Which I am prepared to prove to each of you weak-minded individuals in the WWE Universe." The audience booed Cesaro as he introduced the bench press station, claiming that it contained specialized weights. "These are some of the heaviest weights in existence. Even attempting to lift one into the air would crush the average man. Like so...." said Cesaro as he called one of the camera men over. The camera man was hesitant, but complied as he placed his camera down and approached the station. "Go on, try it," said Cesaro. The camera man attempted to complete one bench press, but was unable to. "As I suspected. Thank you for your cooperation, worthless technician," said the Intercontinental Champion. "As you all just witnessed, these weights are not meant for the average man. But I am anything but average. I am superior in every way, and I will prove so. Those who are able to lift these weights are capable of performing only one bench press, while I will perform multiple right here and right now." Cesaro prepared himself as he laid back on the bench, grasping the barbell.
- Cesaro was able to perform one bench press, not in much a struggle as he proceeded to perform more. Michael Cole put over the strength of Cesaro, while Booker questioned if the weights were even that heavy. As Cesaro continued to perform the bench presses, the theme of Dean Ambrose hit to a nice ovation from the Green Bay. Cesaro was momentarily distracted, but couldn't take his attention off of the weights as one mistake would crush him. Ambrose made his way out to the stage, approaching Cesaro and the bench press station. "Cesaro, nobody cares if you're a strong champion. If you don't have the will and edge of a champion, then any feat of strength is worthless and doesn't mean a damn thing," said Ambrose. He reminded Cesaro that last week, he made it clear that he is looking for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. "And I intend on receiving it. So what do you say?" asked Ambrose. Cesaro ignored the psychotic superstar, becoming more fatigued with the bench pressing. Soon, Cesaro was unable to complete any more, trying to lift the barbell onto the rack. However, Ambrose placed one his hands on the barbell, not allowing the exhausted Cesaro to lift it. Ambrose stared at Cesaro with a sickening grin before pushing the barbell onto his neck! As Cesaro's throat was on the verge of being crushed by all of the weight, Ambrose shouted at him. "I will ask you again. I want a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, and I want it at Night of Champions. Now do I have it?" asked Ambrose. Cesaro, who was gasping for any hint of air, slowly nodded his head in agreement as he was essentially in a life or death situation. Ambrose tossed the barbell to the side as Cesaro rolled off of the flat bench. The Intercontinental Champion held his throat as he continued to gasp for air. Suddenly, Ambrose charged towards him with a Knee Trembler! Cesaro's motionless body was draped over the flat bench as Ambrose scooped up the Intercontinental Championship, holding it high in the air as the audience went wild for him. Through grueling tactics, Ambrose now has his opportunity at the Cesaro's Intercontinental Championship, and he will receive it in three weeks at Night of Champions.
- A graphic was shown for the match between Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio. Two of the five men in the Championship Scramble match go one on one, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for next Monday's edition of RAW. With the battle lines now drawn between Brad Maddox's Administration and the RAW locker room, what will be the next move for the General Manager? RAW, live next Monday on USA.
- SHEAMUS DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO: With both men having a mutual respect for one another, the result was a very solid bout to round out the first hour on SmackDown. As Del Rio was looking to lock in the Cross Armbreaker, Sheamus managed to push him away into the ropes. As Del Rio rebounded off of them, Sheamus caught him with a Brogue Kick to get the victory.
- Sheamus slowly stirred to his feet as the audience cheered him on for his victory. The "Celtic Warrior" stood on the second turnbuckle, beating his chest and raising his arms triumphantly for the WWE Universe. When Sheamus stepped back on the canvas, he noticed Del Rio using the ropes to get to his feet. He extended his hand out to Del Rio, who did seem a bit hesitant at first. Ultimately, Del Rio accepted Sheamus' hand as he assisted him to his feet, the two shaking hands in the center of the ring.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, Randy Orton was shown in the locker room area, preparing for his rematch tonight with Cody Rhodes for the World Heavyweight Championship. Scott Stanford walked into the room, asking Orton for his thoughts heading into tonight's huge main event. Orton said that at SummerSlam, he can admit that Cody Rhodes was the better man. But that was just one night. "On any other given night, including tonight, I know I have Cody's number. And I know for damn sure that tonight, I will reclaim what is rightfully mine, and that is the World Heavyweight Championship," said Orton.
- THE USOS FOUGHT PRIMO AND EPICO TO A NO CONTEST: A very solid tag team bout here between two teams who were looking for a rise in their stock here on SmackDown. However, a winner was never declared. Midway through the match, Kurt Angle stormed down to the ring. He delivered a double Clothesline to Jimmy Uso and Primo, which led to Epico attempting to make the save. He received a Belly to Belly Suplex for his troubles as the match was essentially called off.
- As Angle continued to wreck havoc, he planted Jey Uso with an Angle Slam before applying the Ankle Lock onto Primo. Angle released the hold moments later as both teams were laid out, courtesy of the Olympic Gold Medalist. He grabbed a microphone, once again calling out Daniel Bryan. "I said that tonight, you and I would step into this ring. And I don't get in here right now, Bryan, I will find you and I will hurt you." The audience roared for Angle as he waited in the ring for Bryan's arrival. Rather than appearing in person, Bryan appeared on the titantron from an undisclosed location. When Angle asked where he was, Bryan told him not to worry about that. "Because you're not going to get me in the ring tonight, that's for sure. And that's because you're a barbaric brute, Kurt. And I won't comply with your kind," said Bryan. Angle said that if he's not going to get in this ring, then he'll just go find him and kick his ass. Bryan told him that's not likely to happen if he would just listen to him. "I said I wouldn't comply with you for a match. If you want me in the ring, we'll do it on my terms. And my terms is at Night of Champions." Angle told Bryan that he hates complying with other people, but if it means getting his hands on him, then he'll be glad to meet him at Night of Champions. "And once I have you right where I want you, Bryan, I will end your career," said Angle. Bryan's image on the titantron faded out as Angle was left alone in the ring, now aware of exactly when he will have Bryan one on one in the ring.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Cody Rhodes defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton in a SummerSlam rematch, later tonight on SmackDown.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, 3MB were shown backstage as they discussed Fozzy's new music video. Heath Slater asked why anyone is supposed to care about Fozzy. "Is it because of Chris Jericho? Man, Jericho is worse on the mic than he is in the ring, and that says something. I can't believe people are actually getting excited about Fozzy and 'Sandpaper' and whatnot. Y'all want to hear some real music? Here's what we'll do. Since Chris Jericho just premiered a new video, we're going to do what we do best, and that's upstage him. Because next week, the WWE Universe will witness the world premier of the 3MB music video. And believe us, what we have in store for y'all is better than anything Chris Jericho has ever done on the stage or in the ring," said Slater as Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre nodded in agreement with him.
- KAITLYN DEF. NATALYA: After both Divas failed to gain contention to the Divas Championship two weeks ago, they had a score to settle. As Natalya was performing a Crossbody, Kaitlyn moved out of the way. As Natalya stirred to her feet, Kaitlyn hit her with a Spear to get the victory.
- Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long was shown in his office when a knock was heard on the door. "Come in," said Teddy. To his surprise, he was greeted by NXT superstar Damien Sandow. "Good evening, Theodore. I'm certain that you aware of who I am," said Sandow. After Teddy said that he does know who he is, Sandow said that he comes to him tonight with a business proposal. "Seeing as how I am the only former NXT Champion in existence, I fail to see anything else for me to accomplish over at Full Sail University. Thus, I have been granted Mr. Rodriguez's permission seek a promotion to the SmackDown brand," said Sandow. Teddy told the "Intellectual Savior of the Masses" that he has been impressed by him and wouldn't mind signing him. "I was certain that you wouldn't," said a grinning Sandow.
- Cutting to another camera, World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes was shown heading down a corridor. He defends his title against Randy Orton, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - CODY RHODES DEF. RANDY ORTON: A fantastic World Heavyweight Championship bout to close out tonight's edition of SmackDown. Tons of near falls came about, much like their encounter at SummerSlam. As Cody was going for the Disaster Kick, Orton dodged out of harm's way as Cody struck the official. Orton then attempted the RKO, but Cody was able to counter it into Cross Rhodes. However, the official was unable to make the count. Cody shouted "I won, that's it!" as he grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship from ringside. Cody made his way up the entrance ramp, leaving the match. However, he wasn't able to get away as the Big Show made his way out to the stage. Cody turned around, meeting the World's Largest Athlete. With every step that Show took towards Cody, the World Heavyweight Champion took a step back. With nowhere else for Cody to run, Show chased him into the ring. Once back in, Cody was planted with an RKO! However, when Orton stood to his feet, Big Show struck him with a Knockout Punch! The audience looked on in shock as Show stood over the motionless Orton, staring down at him without any emotion in his face. Show then draped Cody's arm over Orton, leaving the ring. The official slowly crawled towards the two of them, making the slow three count.
- The commentators and audience were left speechless as the announcement was made that Cody Rhodes remains the World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show made his way to the backstage area, not looking back at Cody or Orton, who he had just knocked out. A replay of Show's Punch to "The Viper" was shown, no one certain of the World's Largest Athlete's motives. But along with the uncertainty in the air, two things are certain. Cody Rhodes is still the World Heavyweight Champion, and the Big Show just screwed Randy Orton out of the title.

Smackdown Review
Loved Big Show opening up Smackdown talking about just why he took time off from his injury but that when he came back that he wanted to make an impact and he has by not only winning a Battle Royal to get into the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match but that he plans on doing what he always does and that is dominate and Show looks like he could be a threat in the Scramble only for him to be interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes coming out as cockier and just as arrogant as ever by bringing up Big Show's championship drought and how he hasn't been champion since TLC 2011 when he was only champion for 45 seconds and then got cashed in on by Bryan but how he is nothing but a joke, loved it but then Rhodes being so cocky thinking he is going to beat Orton to retain his title, he got lucky at SummerSlam plain and simple
Daniel Bryan beating Tyson Kidd in what I thought was a great match because on paper Kidd and Bryan their styles are so much similar to each other in the sense that they are both mat technicians both submission style wrestlers but could also be high-flyers if they want to be, and then out of nowhere Angle comes out and he comes gunning right for Bryan only for Bryan to anticipate it and get out of dodge like a coward because he is afraid of Kurt Angle, plain and simple but sooner or later Bryan is going to have to face the music
Del Rio vs Sheamus in a face vs face match-up later on tonight, I am actually looking forward to it but what I loved even more was Del Rio's interview before his match, it just goes to show you that Del Rio means business and that he is more focused than ever to become World Heavyweight Champion but that he actually has respect for Sheamus when it wasn't even all that long ago that these 2 men were mortal enemies
Chris Jericho on tour with Fozzy, I see Jericho coming back by at least Royal Rumble 2013 in your diary but if he doesn't come back by the Rumble then Jericho I could see him coming back during the Road to WrestleMania 29
That whole Cesaro/Ambrose segment I really enjoyed a whole lot because it just goes to show you just how psychotic Ambrose really is and how unhinged he is, this could be Cesaro's toughest challenge having to face an opponent like Dean Ambrose who is psychotic, unpredictable and just borderline messed up in the head which could be a bad thing for Cesaro but Ambrose making his mark dropping the barbell almost on Cesaro's neck almost crushing his throat getting Cesaro to agree to a match at Night of Champions with the IC Title on the line, their match should be a great one and Ambrose laying Cesaro out afterwards with a Knee Trembler, Ambrose is destined for gold
Sheamus defeating Del Rio in a great face vs face encounter, and the ultimate show of respect, class and sportsmanship after the match even that I wasn't expecting but I was glad to see it but this match at the same time was just so back and forth and I loved it because these 2 men have such chemistry together in the ring and it shows whenever these 2 face off
Loved Randy Orton's interview heading into tonight's main event since he has a World Heavyweight Championship match against Rhodes later on tonight, and I know I have faith in Orton, because Rhodes is nothing more than a fly by night champion, a flash in the pan
The Usos vs Epico and Primo ending in a No Contest because of Kurt Angle making an appearance, Angle is on the warpath he laid out both teams in succession all by himself, that just goes to show you that he wants to get his hands on Bryan and if he were to get his hands on him he would tear him apart limb from limb but like usual Bryan shows up via titantron because he is scared of Angle, and then Bryan tells Angle that they will fight on his terms that being Night of Champions, I love it, it should be a great match, Bryan vs Angle MOTY candidate
3MB if anything I would just love to see them just get destroyed one of these days, hopefully one day soon because they just run their mouths way too much
And the main event Orton vs Rhodes, this match by far was match of the night but just when Orton has the match won, Big Show gets involved and out of nowhere a Knockout, a Knockout right to Orton laying Orton out with a KO Punch from out of nowhere, what the hell was that all about? What did Orton ever do to The Big Show to deserve that? Then Big Show just drags Cody's unconscious body to put on top of Orton to pin him 1..2..3 to retain his title, what a screwjob from Big Show, if that is not a heel turn from Big Show then I don't know what is
But the better question is why? I don't understand why Big Show did this or why he even helped Cody to beat Orton, but nevertheless I could get behind the idea of a heel Big Show because Big Show as a heel he is more dominant and not to mention he is more of a beast as a heel, and now that Big Show is heel, he is probably the biggest threat in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match, I mean his actions just proved that
Overall great Smackdown and I can't wait until RAW!!!!! Night of Champions is looking to be like a stacked card, that's for sure, I mean look at the matches already

I've quickly flicked through this just to regain some kind of understanding since I've been away for a bit. But I really like where you've gone with the whole Maddox/Laurinaitis/Flair angle. It's really intriguing, but at the same time, it does feel like there's been a war going on for quite a while now. I'm wondering when you plan on having some peace, haha. I'm enjoying your use of Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes as the World Champions, it's every IWC member's dream situation for the two young guys to be on top of the WWE Universe as the best they have to offer. In regards to Night of Champions, I do see Ziggler leaving as the WWE Champion as it would be the ultimate victory for him to go over four other legitimate superstars, although part of me would like to see Ryback take the title, but that's just my fanboy opinion. Cody Rhodes should also retain in my opinion, and I think he will. As with Ziggler, winning a Championship Scramble is a legitimate way to put you over as Champion due to the difficulty and low chances of retaining the title. Believe me, I've played them on WWE '13, those things are ing hard. The mid-card, I'm honestly a bit "meh" on. Antonio Cesaro versus Dean Ambrose is clearly a dream match for many, but at the same time, I can't see either being received well against each other since they both seem to be heels (I know you have Ambrose listed as a Tweener, but he's far more heel). I'm a bit more keen on the United States Championship match, and would love to see Jack Swagger take the title back. I feel Christian has had his run now, and he should be putting other guys over, Swagger being one of them. I admire the Tag Team Championship match since Hennig/DiBiase is the most obvious pairing in the world and has been done in so many diaries, it's good to see them having believable success. Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder is an interesting pairing, albeit totally random. Kurt Angle versus Daniel Bryan is what it is, can't say much else other than it would be a fantastic match for sure, and I'm sure it will be. Divas, couldn't give two sheets of paper. I'll reply to the next Raw show in detail, Ryan. Just wanted to get up to speed on the storylines, etc, and drop you a reply.

| CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - SEPTEMBER 3, 2012
|
- Following the signature WWE intro, the camera crew cut directly to the Allstate Arena here in Chicago. The theme of Dolph Ziggler hit to a chorus of boos, the WWE Champion making his way out to the stage. En route to the ring, a graphic was shown for Ziggler's next title defense, the Championship Scramble match coming up in two weeks at Night of Champions. Ziggler stepped into the ring, grabbing a microphone from ringside while brushing aside the audience's negative response. the "Show Off" said that after the events of last week, tonight's edition of RAW is a tad bit tragic. "Out of protest for what Ric Flair, CM Punk, Ryback, Wade Barrett, and the rest of those morons did last week, RAW is practically a ship without a captain. Brad Maddox, John Laurinaitis, Summer Rae, and Paul Heyman have all opted not to be present here tonight." The audience responded very positively to the announcement, but Ziggler was able to bring the mood back down. "While those four powerful figures are not here, I am very honored to announce that they have left yours truly as the honorary General Manager for the evening." The audience booed Ziggler as he stated that tonight, he won't be "Stealing the show," he'll be running it. "And as my first order of business, I will announce tonight's main event. There are two men who have recently defied Mr. Brad Maddox severely, and deserve to face the proper consequences. So they're going to face those consequences against one another. Tonight, I am forcing the two brutes who all seem to love to compete against one another and tear each other apart. Wade Barrett will take on Ryback in a No Holds Barred match!" The audience responded fairly positive to Ziggler's announcement as he continued on. The WWE Champion then called out commentator, Jerry "The King" Lawler. "Last week during the little scuffle at the end of the show, you made a comment that myself, Brad Maddox, and the rest of the Administration took offense to. I believe you said something along the lines of 'Ryback just told Brad Maddox to take his offer and shove it.'" Ziggler told Lawler that if he makes any more comments of that nature, the only thing that will be "shoved" around here is his job. The honorary General Manager for the evening then demanded an apology from Lawler. "The King" slowly stood up from his chair, picking up a microphone. "Dolph, I really didn't mean any offense with my comment. It was just a spur of the moment remark, but if you insist, then I apologize." As Lawler was proceeding to sit back down, Ziggler told him that he wasn't going to just apologize to him. He was going to apologize to the entire Maddox Administration. Lawler stood back up, looking into the camera and issuing one more apology for the Administration. After Lawler was back in his seat, Ziggler decided that he wasn't finished with the Hall of Famer just yet. "Actually, Jerry, there's no need for you to sit back down. As a matter of fact, there isn't a need for you to be out here right now. And that's because tonight, you're going to be competing in this ring as punishment for that little remark of yours. And your opponent is going to be.......the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry!" The Chicago audience showered Ziggler with boos as Lawler was stunned at the announcement. "Go on. Get out of here," demanded Ziggler as Lawler hesitantly made his way to the back, not being given much of a choice.
- After Lawler made his way to the back, the theme of CM Punk hit to a massive ovation. Punk made his way out to the stage, overseeing his hometown audience here in Chicago. The "Best in the World" marched down to the ring, raining on Dolph Ziggler's parade. As the chants of Punk's name echoed throughout the Allstate Arena, he told Ziggler that it's quite obvious exactly why Brad Maddox, John Laurinaitis, and Summer Rae are not here tonight. "Sure, it may have something to do with the fact that myself and others kicked your asses last week, but there's one other reason. The three of them know that if they even considered stepping foot into Chicago, then all of these crazy bastards would run them right out of our city," said Punk to a huge reaction. He then told Ziggler that he may want to let this evening soak in, because it's going to be the final highlight of his career. "That title belongs to me, and I'll never forget that you stole it from my hands at TLC. You didn't prove a damn thing at SummerSlam, and as far I'm concerned, you have yet to prove that you deserve to carry this company as its champion. The only man who is fit enough for that honor is myself. The 'Best in the World,' CM Punk." Ziggler told Punk that he can continue to be as bitter and angry as he wants, but it's not going to get him anywhere. "And don't think that when planning out this show, I didn't take into consideration that we are in this God forsaken dump that you call a hometown." A ton of heat emerged from the crowd for Ziggler. He then told Punk that he is in action tonight, and his match is up next as a matter of fact. "So enjoy your evening, Punk, because I guarantee that it won't end with you standing triumphantly as the hometown hero." As Ziggler made his way up the entrance ramp, the theme of The Miz hit. The "Awesome One" made his way out to the stage, along with Roman Reigns. The two of them greeted the WWE Champion before heading down to the ring, Miz ready to compete against CM Punk in our opening contest on RAW!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- CM PUNK DEF. THE MIZ W/ ROMAN REIGNS: Two heated rivals competed in our opening contest in front of a very one-sided Chicago audience. As Miz was attempting to hit the Skull Crushing Finale, Punk was able to take him down to the mat with a Sweep Kick to the back of his ankle. Punk rolled up Miz following that, able to get the victory.
- Punk immediately stood to his feet as the audience erupted for his victory. The Miz, on the other, seemed to be in disbelief as he and the official debated on the finish. When Punk turned around, Miz charged towards him. Punk was able to dodge the shot, hoisting Miz up to his shoulders. Punk was unable to make any further movement, however, and Roman Reigns entered the ring and drilled him with a vicious Spear. Reigns let out a primal scream as he lifted Punk up to his feet, pushing him towards The Miz. The "Awesome One" then locked Punk into position for the Skull Crushing Finale, successfully hitting it. The Chicago audience showered Miz and Reigns with boos as the stood tall over the motionless hometown hero.
- Backstage, AJ Lee was shown walking down a corridor, ready to take on Maxine shortly. As she was talking, AJ was stopped by the WWE Champion and Honorary General Manager, Dolph Ziggler. He asked AJ if she got the memo earlier. AJ, not quite sure of what Ziggler was referring to, said that she understands that she has a match against Maxine next. "I'm gonna go ahead and say that you didn't get the memo. I just got done speaking to Eve, very nice woman by the way, no offense. And we both came to an agreement that you don't seem ready for Night of Champions at the moment, and we don't think that you understand the severity of the stipulation. So we're going to put you to the test in a sink or swim situation. In you match coming up with Maxine, your career will be on the line." AJ seemed a bit infuriated, knowing that if she fails tonight, she won't even receive her opportunity at Night of Champions. "You know what, Dolph, that's fine. Just do me a favor and take this message back to Eve," said AJ before she delivered a slap across Ziggler's face! The WWE Champion stumbled back as AJ continued on, being forced to put her career on the line next.

- Returning to RAW, the ballroom dancing silhouette vignette that has been airing frequently aired once again. This time, the man stepped out of the shadow, revealing himself as he said the name "Fandango" in an exaggerated manner. Fandango, coming soon.
- AJ'S CAREER IS ON THE LINE - AJ LEE DEF. MAXINE: AJ Lee is currently scheduled to meet Eve for the Divas Championship at Night of Champions, but this match could have changed that scenario entirely. Two weeks before AJ is forced to put her career on the line for one final opportunity to become, she found herself defending her career earlier than she had hoped for. However, AJ was able to ultimately prevail, putting Maxine away with the Shining Wizard.
- AJ stood to her feet, relieved that her career remains intact after a curveball from both WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler and Divas Champion Eve. However, she is not safe just yet. In two weeks, AJ's career will be on the line once again as she faces Eve for the Divas Championship at Night of Champions.
- Backstage, WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler was shown applying a bag of ice to the side of his face that AJ slapped prior to the commercial break. When Ziggler turned a corner, he was met by Wade Barrett. The English Brawler chuckled a bit at the fact that Ziggler was caused so much pain by a woman. "The sad part of all this is that I've dealt with crazier chicks before," said Ziggler. Barrett told Ziggler that he can save his rubbish jokes for another day. "Now I"m not stupid, Dolph. I know that the only reason you're putting Ryback and I in a No Holds Barred match tonight is because you're afraid of the both of us. You know that we are the biggest threats to your title, and you want us to kill each other tonight and eliminate one another from the equation." Ziggler told that there's two faults with his grievances. "First, that's not true at all. And second, save all of your whining words. I don't care if you and Ryback are all buddy-buddy now. This match is going to happen," said the WWE Champion. Barrett then told Ziggler that he wasn't complaining about the match. "Ryback and I are not friends and likely never will be, but I do respect him. But that despite that, I don't mind running through him tonight. Because if ending his undefeated streak means that I walk into Night of Champions with all of the momentum in the world on my side, then I'll take it. I'm not doing this for you, Dolph, or anyone else in your pathetic Maddox Administration. I'm doing this for myself, the next WWE Champion," said Barrett.
- Cutting to another camera, Mark Henry was shown walking towards the ring. He meets Jerry "The King" Lawler, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After the Big Show shocked the WWE Universe last week by delivering a Knockout Punch to Randy Orton and allowing Cody Rhodes to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, what will be the response from the World's Largest Athlete? Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- Backstage, Chicago's own CM Punk was shown in the locker room area, still feeling the effects of The Miz and Roman Reigns' attack earlier in the evening. Matt Striker soon approached Punk, asking for clarification on a statement he made earlier. "When addressing the Maddox Administration, you pointed out Brad Maddox, John Laurinaitis and Summer Rae. You made no mention whatsoever of Paul Heyman. Any reason why?" asked Striker. Punk said that he understands that Paul Heyman may not be viewed too kindly by the WWE Universe, but he personally doesn't have a single bad thing to say about him. "Without Heyman, there's no way I would be here right now. A vast majority of the opportunities that I've received here in the WWE, I owe to him. I don't care who Heyman aligns himself with or what actions he may commit. I will never have anything negative to say about Paul Heyman. As for everyone else in the Maddox Administration, I can't think of a single positive thing to say about any of them. As I said earlier, Maddox, Johnny and Summer all bailed today because they fear Chicago. Miz and Reigns, they embarrassed me in front of my hometown. My city. Nobody makes a fool out of CM Punk, and I will make sure that I provide them with the proper consequences. And Dolph Ziggler, his little fantasy land will come crashing down at Night of Champions when I right the wrongs in the WWE and once again stand tall as its champion."
- MARK HENRY DEF. JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER: A solid bout between two of the WWE's veterans to round out the first hour. Mark Henry was without his agent, Paul Heyman, as he was looking to deliver pain and punishment to Jerry Lawler for his comments last week at the conclusion of RAW. However, it didn't come as easy as he may have expected. Lawler managed to hold his own, almost upsetting Henry at some points. As Lawler was going for a Clothesline, Henry was able to lift him into position for the World's Strongest Slam, planting him with it to get the victory.
- Mark Henry refused to have his arm raised in victory, staring down at Lawler with an intimidating glare. As the official tried to tend to Lawler, Henry pushed him to the side. The World's Strongest Man hoisted Lawler up once again, looking to deliver another World's Strongest Slam. However, the theme of John Cena hit as Henry took his attention off of Lawler. Cena rushed into the ring, trading blows with Henry in the center. Cena managed to dodge one of Henry's shots, gaining the advantage. After delivering multiple shots, Cena was able to use his strength to send Henry over the top rope. The World's Strongest Man was furious on the entrance ramp as Cena grabbed a microphone. "You want to pick a fight with someone, Henry? Why don't you finish what you started first?" said Cena. He then told Henry that despite being taken out at SummerSlam by Brock Lesnar and two weeks ago by him, he isn't feeling bad at all. "So if you want to fight, then how about you step into my backyard at Night of Champions and fight with the big dog of the yard?" asked Cena, laying out the challenge to Henry. The World's Strongest Man nodded his head, accepting Cena's challenge for a match at Night of Champions in two weeks.

- Returning to RAW, Bray Wyatt was shown a dark lit room along with his two "children," Brodus Clay and Tensai. Wyatt had a lighter in his hands, swaying the flame side to side. "I couldn't be any more proud of my two children. Brodus and Tensai personify the destruction that satisfy our churches demands....and I wrote the book of demands...haha. When others attempt to cross over into the landscape of our society, it's as if they're playing with fire. And if you play with fire, you get burned.....I would hate to get burned by the hand of a man as powerful as myself. While I am proud of Brodus and Tensai, the powers that be demand more, and it just so happens that I want more.....there is another. Another soul that I can sense the damage in. A soul that has been lost for an eternity. And soon, the flame will be put to rest....ring around the rosie......pocket full of posies....ashes.....ashes....we all....fall.......down..." sang Bray Wyatt as the camera focused in on the flame from the lighter.
- Cutting back to the arena, the theme of Prime Time Players hit. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil made their way down to the ring, holding up picket signs on their way. The two of them grabbed microphone, Young telling the people of Chicago to quiet down while he and "his boy" Titus share a very important message. "There is no team right now in the WWE that deserve a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships more than the Prime Time Players. And I know that you all know what the rest of the world already knows, you know, D. Young?" asked Titus, which left Young a bit confused. Despite that, Young stated that it's a travesty that while a legitimate team like them are forced to sit on the sidelines, two goofballs who aren't even a real team are getting an opportunity at Night of Champions. "Really, y'all? The WWE Universe would rather see Zack Ryder and Kofi Kingston get a Tag Team Title shot than your boys, the Prime Time Players?" asked Titus to a fair response from the Chicago audience. Titus then said that they won't stand for any of this. "That's why myself and D. Young have decided to join the Maddox Administration in protesting." Young then held up his picket sign, which read "#JusticeForThePlayers." He asked the WWE Universe to spread to message throughout social media. "I want to see this trending within the next five minutes, and I know it will. Tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your co workers that you hate. Justice for the Players!" shouted Young. The Prime Time Players then proceeded to march in the ring with their picket signs, shouting "What do we want? Justice for the Players!" repeatedly. This continued until Zack Ryder and Kofi Kingston, the No.1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, made their way down to the ring. "Are you serious bro?" asked Ryder, to which Titus responded "Yes, bro. We're very serious." Kofi told the Prime Time Players that picketing in the ring on national television is only accomplishing one thing, and that's making fools out of themselves. "If you two truly deserved to be the No.1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, you would have won last week," said Kofi.
- The two teams continued to bicker back and forth until the arrival of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig. The two "Wrestling Royalty" members made their way down to the ring, saying that this entire scene is one giant example of what is wrong with the current tag team division. "You have one team who has a freakin' hashtag on a picket sign, while the other isn't even a team, yet somehow are in line for a shot at the Tag Team Championships," said Hennig. "Let's get one thing straight, Prime Time Players," said DiBiase. "You two constantly ramble on about millions of dollars. I guarantee that neither of you two have ever actually seen a million dollars. While I was born on a pile of millions," said DiBiase. He and Hennig then told Young and O'Neil that if they truly want a shot at the titles, then they can have it after Night of Champions. "If you two are willing to put down your picket signs and put up your fists, then the challenge is on the table," said Hennig. Titus O'Neil said that their proposal isn't good enough for the Prime Time Players. They refuse to stand in line behind Kofi and Ryder. "It's like we said before. You two aren't even a real team, and real gold is for real teams. So take care, comb your hair. How do you like that?" said Young as he and Titus shared a laugh. As the Prime Time Players were chuckling, they were attacked by both Kofi and Ryder, and Wrestling Royalty. The two teams who meet at Night of Champions took care of Young and O'Neil, tossing them out of the ring. Kofi and Ryder both picked up the picket signs, throwing them out of the ring as well. Suddenly, the No.1 contenders were struck from behind by DiBiase and Hennig with the Tag Team Championships. Wrestling Royalty stood tall over Kofi, Ryder and the Prime Time Players, letting it be known that they are the superior team in the WWE.
- Backstage, Ryback was shown in his locker room with a blank expression on his face. WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler walked into the room, trying to explain to him why he made the No Holds Barred match with Wade Barrett. "You may have caused myself and the Maddox Administration quite the headache last week, but you can rectify all of that tonight. I set up this match because myself, Brad Maddox and John Laurinaitis all have one wish, and that's to eliminate Wade Barrett. Not just from the equation, but from our lives. And we know that you have the strength and power to do so," said Ziggler. Ryback remained unresponsive, irking the Honorary General Manager. "I know. You want food, right? You're always hungry and you always want more. I get that," said Ziggler. Ryback then grabbed him by his collar, lifting the "Show Off" up against a wall. "Feed me more is not about food. It's a way of life. Feed me more means throw more bodies towards me. It means allow me to hear more bones crash against the floor. It means throw the WWE Championship my way. Feed me more!" shouted Ryback as he released Ziggler, allowing him to drop to the floor.

- A promo was shown for NXT Homecoming, which begins this week when former NXT rookie Daniel Bryan returns to his WWE roots. Plus, the "Queen of NXT" will finally be crowned in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match with Raquel Diaz, Sofia Cortez, Skyler Moon and Paige. WWE NXT, this Wednesday on ION Television.
- UNITED STATES CHAMPION CHRISTIAN DEF. CURT HAWKINS: A very good non-title bout here with Christian looking to gain more momentum as we near Night of Champions in two weeks. During the match, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter both made their way out to the stage, Colter with a megaphone in his hands. "You people make me sick to my stomach! Supporting a United States Champion who does not even worship the soil of the United States," said Colter, ranting on about the fact that Christian is Canadian. Captain Charisma didn't allow any of his words to affect him, putting away Hawkins with the Killswitch to pick up the victory.
- Christian took no time to celebrate following his victory as he took his United States Championship and immediately confronted Zeb Colter and the No.1 contender for his title, Jack Swagger. "I don't know if you have trouble reading, Christian, but that championship in your hands is not he WWE Canadian Championship. It is the WWE United States Championship, a title that was meant for the hands of a real American like Jack Swagger. Not a border crossing Canuck like yourself. You have no business carrying and defending that championship, and you'll find that out the hard way at Night of Champions when Jack Swagger defeats you and begins the new Reconstruction Era of the United States," said a heated Colter. "We the people!" shouted Swagger, who remained behind Colter. The two headed to the backstage area as Christian looked on at them.
- Backstage, Wade Barrett was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Ryback in a No Holds Barred match, next!

- A promo was shown for Night of Champions, live Sunday September 16th, only on pay-per-view.
- NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH - WADE BARRETT AND RYBACK FOUGHT TO A NO CONTEST: Perhaps one of the best television matches thus far in 2012 as the two beasts tore one another apart, which had to be to the delight of the Maddox Administration. At one point, Ryback delivered a devastating Meathook Clothesline to Barrett on the outside, causing the back of his head to bounce off of the floor. Ryback then took the steel steps, lifting them with with ease as he stalked Barrett. As Ryback was charging with the steps, Barrett delivered a Big Boot to the undefeated monster and the steps. Barrett then attempted a Powerbomb, but Ryback managed to respond by countering the attempt into an Overhead Slam, dropping Barrett back first onto the steps. Ryback then began clearing the announce table, placing the steps near it. He got a hold of Barrett, who was able to fight back. After delivering a few shots, Barrett managed to hoist Ryback up to his shoulders, stepping onto the steel steps. He then planted Ryback with Wasteland through the announce table! Chants of "Holy sh*t" rang throughout the All State Arena as Barrett slowly tossed Ryback into the ring. He got the cover, but the undefeated monster managed to kick out. Barrett then went back to ringside, grabbing multiple chairs and throwing them into the ring. With several chairs in the center of the ring, Barrett hoisted Ryback up for another Wasteland. This time, Ryback was able to fight out of it. He delivered a chair shot to gut of Barrett, weakening him and lifting him up to his shoulders. Ryback then delivered Shell Shocked onto the pile of chairs! Both men were down, dozens of seconds passing before either made another move. As they were stirring to their feet, WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Roman Reigns, and Wrestling Royalty all hit the ring. The five of them attacked Barrett and Ryback, the match seemingly thrown out of the window.
- The Chicago audience showered the Maddox Administration with boos as the five of them continued to assault Wade Barrett and Ryback. Soon, the WWE Universe exploded as the cavalry of CM Punk, Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder hit the ring. They attempted to even the odds, but were unable to. Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig took two of the steel chairs that were already in the ring and whaled way on Ryder and Kofi, the men they meet at Night of Champions. Ziggler, Reigns, and Miz took chairs for themselves, finishing off whatever was left of Ryback and Barrett. Finally, Punk was all alone in the ring with the Maddox Administration, who all wielded steel chairs. Ziggler, Miz, Reigns, DiBiase and Hennig each took turns delivering chair shots to Punk, even continuing when he was lying on the canvas. Finally, they each threw their chair onto Punk, burying the hometown hero in a sea of steel chairs.
