It begs the question of who will be the 4th competitor? It could really be anyone but I think somehow it will be Lars Sullivan

July 14th, 2014 | Episode 014 | "Heavy Lies the Crown" ADAM COLE RECEIVES WORD OF HIS VENGEANCE OPPONENT: After the signature WWE intro, footage from earlier in the day was shown of The Undisputed ERA arriving at the Richmond Coliseum. The group was approached by Cathy Kelley, informing them of information that was vital to them. "RAW General Manager Dario Cueto has just made official a match between yourself and Seth Rollins," she said to Cole, who quickly cut her off. Cole said that he figured Rollins would go crawling to Dario and Stephanie McMahon to beg for a match with him. "But that doesn't concern me one bit because it is going to be my pleasure to take out Seth Rollins tonight," Cole said. Cathy, however, told Cole that tonight, Rollins has a one-on-one match with Chris Jericho. "Your match with Rollins will be taking place this Saturday night at Vengeance... and it'll be for the United States Championship." Cole's demeanor switched from arrogant to outraged, believing that Rollins had not done anything to deserve an opportunity at his title.
MIZ TV WITH FINN BALOR: In the ring, one of the two finalists in The Cueto Cup, The Miz, hosted a special edition of the most must-see talk show in WWE history, Miz TV. 'The A-Lister' wasted no time by bringing out his guest, the man he'll face this Saturday at Vengeance for a Universal Championship opportunity at SummerSlam, Finn Balor. The Richmond audience erupted for Balor as he made his way down to the ring, Miz telling him that he truly wasn't expecting to be opposed by him in the finals of The Cueto Cup. "I mean, who in their right mind would've predicted that you could make it this far? First, you had to beat Adam Cole, a man who's been on top of his game ever since the brand extension. Then, last week, you managed to find your luckiest break yet when you somehow stole a victory from Matanza Cueto. It truly, truly is a Cinderella story for you, Finn... but this little fairytale of yours doesn't have a happy ending." Miz told Balor that he can leave all of the body paint and theatrics behind because in five days, it'll be one-on-one, man-to-man in the middle of the ring when he wins The Cueto Cup and goes on to SummerSlam to become Universal Champion. "Because I'm The Miz... and I'm..." Before Miz could complete his catchphrase, Balor moved the microphone away from his mouth. "Miz, unlike a lot of other people, I recognize your talent. I know just how good you are, and I can respect that you've made a career out of proving people wrong, but this Saturday isn't one of the those opportunities for you to run your mouth and gloat about your success. You happen to be standing on the other side of this ring in the most important match of my career, and 'Demon' or not, I will beat you and earn my spot in the Universal Championship match at SummerSlam!" Miz and Balor were then interrupted by the sound of AJ Styles' music, 'The Phenomenal One' claiming that he just wanted to get a better look at his competition come SummerSlam in Madison Square Garden. "Because, after all, I'm the one who is going to be walking out of Vengeance as the Universal Champion," Styles said, already getting ahead of himself. Miz asked Styles how he even knows that he'll be the Universal Champion after Saturday, Styles answering with an assurance that there's no one else who possibly can. "Who's going to beat me? Derrick Bateman? Kevin Owens? I've let too many people step over me ever since I lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Vengeance is my time to take my rightful spot back on top, and SummerSlam will be the day that one of you fall at the feet of the best wrestler in the world today!" Styles stared down Miz briefly before turning his attention to Balor, the WWE Universe reacting positively to the thought of that dream match occurring. Styles, Balor and Miz all turned their attention to the stage once Kevin Owens' music hit. 'The Prizefighter' walked down to the squared circle, not to stake his claim at the Universal Championship, but to get his hands on Styles again! Owens took Styles down to the canvas, Miz trying to separate the two. "There will no fighting on my show!" Miz exclaimed just before Balor took a shot at him! Owens and Balor were able to rid the ring of Styles and Miz, the two unlikely allies standing tall.
AJ STYLES & THE MIZ DEF. FINN BALOR & KEVIN OWENS: An impromptu Tag Team match as AJ Styles and The Miz were forced to team up against Finn Balor and Kevin Owens. Towards the end of the bout, Styles leaped over the top rope for a Phenomenal Forearm to Balor, only to miss. Balor responded with a Sling Blade to Styles onto the floor, but while the official was busy pulling Owens out of a corner and away from Miz, Universal Champion Derrick Bateman ran down to the ringside, leveling Balor with the title! Owens noticed Bateman and scared him off, but that distraction allowed Miz to plant Owens with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win! "Get a good look at your next Universal Champion, WWE Universe!" Corey Graves said on commentary, making a big deal out of the fact that Miz just pinned one of the challengers for the gold this Saturday night. Who will walk out of Vengeance in five days as the Universal Champion, and who will cement their spot as the number one contender for the gold at SummerSlam?
ALEISTER BLACK DEF. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS VIA DISQUALIFICATION: After Frankie Kazarian fell victim to Aleister Black last week, Christopher Daniels tried his hand against 'The Dutch Destroyer.' While Daniels was in motion for a springboard Moonsault, Black caught him in the chest with a huge kick! Black sized up Daniels for Black Mass, but that was when Kazarian intervened on behalf of his Addiction teammate. The official called for the disqualification while The Addiction attacked Black. 'The Dutch Destroyer' was able to make it back up to his feet, shoving Kazarian into Daniels. That caused Daniels to fall out of the ring, granting Black the opening to catch Kazarian with Black Mass! Black sat cross-legged in the ring next to Kazarian's prone body while Daniels retreated.
SOFIA CORTEZ WANTS TO CHALLENGE MUSTAFA ALI: Backstage, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto was shown walking into the building along with his brother, Matanza, as well as several security guards who will be overseeing tonight's contract signing for the Monster's Ball match at Vengeance. "Hey, Dario," called out Sofia Cortez, who was standing against a wall that Dario and Matanza passed by. Not in the mood for Sofia's attitude, Dario told her that whatever it is she wants, it has to wait. "I want a match with Mustafa Ali," she said, Dario suddenly changing his mind about not hearing her out. Dario slowly approached Sofia, asking why exactly she wanted that match. "Mustafa wants us to be a team? Then I want to see for myself just how good he is now. Has he regressed while I've progressed?" Wanting to see the match himself, Dario granted Sofia her bout against Ali for next week.
HEATH SLATER DEF. MATT HARDY TO RETAIN THE HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP: In his first defense of the Hardcore Championship, Heath Slater was able to best 'Broken' Matt Hardy after an Impaler DDT onto a cooking sheet. Post-match, Slater took a microphone and thanked the WWE Universe for their support over the last few years. Slater became emotional when talking about how much his contract and the Hardcore Title meant to his family now that he was able to afford an above-ground pool for them. "My 17 kids and I owe everything to you guys for taking it to social media and telling the WWE you would not rest until the 'One Man Band' was back, baby!" Slater said, Corey Graves asking how it was possible for Slater to have 17 children. Slater then announced that he wanted to make the Hardcore Championship as prestigious as he possibly can, which is why he's making it clear right now that the 24/7 rule is in effect.
EMMA CONTINUES HER HEINOUS WAYS: To everyone's surprise, the entrance music of Alexa Bliss sounded in the Richmond Coliseum. Alexa, who was the victim of a cruel, heinous act on the part of RAW Women's Champion and Ms. Money in the Bank Emma last week, was expected to stay home in Columbus with family until Vengeance this Saturday. Soon, it became clear that 'Little Miss Bliss' was not in Richmond. Instead, Emma came walking through the curtain, dragging Lilian Garcia by her hair. Lilian had interviewed Alexa this past weekend for her podcast, and was just visiting RAW tonight before targeted by Emma. Lilian was rolled into the ring, Emma circling around her to make sure that she had no way of escaping. Emma took two microphones, handing one of them to Lilian. "Go ahead. Interview me," Emma said, Lilian too mortified to properly respond. "You do want both sides of the story, right? Or are you just going to listen to whatever Alexa Bliss tells you so that she can get you on her side?" Emma asked, trying to intimidate the innocent Lilian. Slowly picking up her microphone, Lilian asked Emma why she chose to target Alexa the way that she did last week. "Because she brought all of that on herself. Alexa could've and should've just stayed on SmackDown Live, but the minute she decided to come over to RAW, she began defying the woman who runs this place. Alexa needs to understand that as long as she's here, she'll ALWAYS come second behind me. She had trouble realizing that... so I made her realize it. Did I take advantage of something deeply personal to her? I don't know... I guess? But look at what that did. She's not even here tonight because she's too afraid to confront me. What's going to happen at Vengeance on Saturday? Any time I lay my hands on her pretty little face, she'll remember that it was me who sent her packing. The only regret I have about last week is that the world wasn't able to actually see her spit out all of the words that she choked on... but if you guys are lucky, then maybe you'll get an encore this Saturday at Vengeance." Emma laughed to herself, Lilian unsure how to respond with a follow up question. "... Is that it? There's nothing else you want to ask me? You had every question in the world for Alexa, but when the RAW Women's Champion and future Universal Champion is standing right in front you... you have nothing?" Emma asked. Emma took Lilian's microphone away from her, seemingly giving her the opportunity to leave. When Lilian tried doing so, Emma pulled her back into the middle of the ring for the Emma Lock! Emma had the hold cinched in when officials arrived to restrain her. Emma, who has managed to become the most sadistic person on the RAW roster, left the ring with her head held high, proud of the fact that she's been able to get into the head of Alexa and convince herself that she has a stranglehold over the number one contender's mental state.
PENTAGON DEF. DANIEL BRYAN: In a rematch from two weeks ago, Daniel Bryan had the opportunity to put Pentagon away five days ahead of his match against Randy Orton at Vengeance. Orton, Bray Wyatt and Maxine watched from ringside, Bryan trying his best to focus only on the man with 'Cero Miedo.' When Bryan went to the top rope for a Diving Headbutt, he let his paranoia get the better of him, taking out The Wyatt Tribe with a Crossbody before they could have the chance to strike him. Bryan returned to the top rope, but Pentagon was able to stop him. Pentagon hoisted Bryan up for an Avalanche Brainbuster that managed to get him the victory. Orton joined Pentagon in the ring post-match, raising his arm triumphantly while staring down at the man he'll be taking on this Saturday at Vengeance.
DRAKE MAVERICK PLEDGES TO "MAKE THINGS RIGHT" ON RAW: Backstage, Hardcore Champion Heath Slater was shown leaving the Richmond Coliseum, Cathy Kelley approaching him to ask why he decided to immediately enact the 24/7 rule? Slater put the Hardcore Title down and raised his fists, actually believing that Cathy was going to challenge him for the title. "No, Heath. I don't want the Hardcore Title. I just asked you a question," she said, Slater responding with, "Yeah, that's what they all say." Slater was then tapped on the shoulder, turning around to be greeted by an angry Drake Maverick. The assistant to Stephanie McMahon said that Slater's Hardcore Title win was a fluke, but he vows to be the one to make things right for Monday Night RAW and Stephanie. "Once I'm out of this neck brace, you need to be looking over your shoulder at every moment."
THE REVIVAL AND WRESTLING ROYALTY CONFRONT EACH OTHER ONE LAST TIME: At this time, the Steel Cage structure that will contain RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival and Wrestling Royalty at Vengeance lowered down to ground level. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder headed down to the ring first for a confrontation with Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig, both of whom were making their final appearances on RAW. "The greatest tag team of the modern era, and really, one of the greatest in history," Mauro Ranallo said while DiBiase and Hennig stepped into the structure, previewing their final match that will see them have the opportunity to end their careers as the RAW Tag Team Champions. Dawson spoke first, saying that Wrestling Royalty will be remembered as one of the greatest tag teams of all-time, but their real legacy should be that they were the luckiest team in history. "That's because during your little 300-whatever day-reign, there was never a team like The Revival to oppose you two. Had Dash and I been around, Wrestling Royalty would've never happened. This Saturday, we finally get to put you two out of your misery and end this once and for all." Hennig stated that when he and DiBiase look around at the four steel walls surrounding them, it reminds him of how trapped they felt before forming Wrestling Royalty. "We were pushed aside by everyone. That chip that you two carry on your shoulders? It was on ours a long time ago. You want to chalk our success up to luck? Luck would've meant that an opportunity just happened to present itself to us. We made our dreams come true. Nobody ever handed anything over to us. The reason we were the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history is because there was no team who could stop us!" DiBiase said that he and Hennig will be the first ones to admit that The Revival have been their toughest opponents, but on Saturday, the final image of Wrestling Royalty will be them putting Dawson and Wilder down to become RAW Tag Team Champions. "Seven months ago in this ring, I intended on calling it a career, and that was when you two decided to make names for yourselves at the expense of mine. This Saturday, Joe Hennig and I go home for good, but we're not leaving without the RAW Tag Team Championships!" DiBiase and Hennig exited the Steel Cage, Dawson and Wilder raising the championships once again as the stage is now set for the final match in the careers of Wrestling Royalty at Vengeance.
SETH ROLLINS DEF. CHRIS JERICHO: Ahead of his United States Championship match with Adam Cole this Saturday at Vengeance, Seth Rollins went one-on-one with Chris Jericho in a rematch from the night after WrestleMania XXIX, where Rollins became Intercontinental Champion. During a Curb Stomp attempt, Michael Bennett grabbed Rollins' foot, the official noticing before ejecting Bennett from ringside. During that scene, Cole took the United States Title and charged towards Rollins with it, 'The Architect' dodging the shot. Cole nearly collided with Jericho, stopping himself beforehand. Rollins Superkicked Cole when he turned around, Jericho then taking Rollins down for the Walls of Jericho. Rollins countered into it into an inside cradle, Jericho managing to kick out. While Jericho was on his knees, Rollins struck with the Curb Stomp to get the victory. Cole left the United States Championship behind in the ring, Rollins picking it up while taunting the leader of The Undisputed ERA from a distance. This Saturday, Rollins has the chance to get back at Cole after being screwed over in The Cueto Cup by taking the United States Championship for himself.
VENGEANCE CARD RUNDOWN: In a match just made official by Dario Cueto, Aleister Black will battle The Addiction in a Handicap match. Adam Cole puts the United States Championship up for grabs against Seth Rollins. Daniel Bryan takes on Wyatt Tribe member, Randy Orton. Wrestling Royalty compete in their final match against The Revival inside of a Steel Cage for the RAW Tag Team Championships. Finn Balor and The Miz meet in the finals of The Cueto Cup for a Universal Championship match at SummerSlam. Alexa Bliss must find the strength within herself to meet Emma face-to-face and challenge her for the RAW Women's Championship. Derrick Bateman does not have to be pinned or submitted to lose the Universal Championship in a Triple Threat match against AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. Lastly, the second Monster's Ball match under the WWE umbrella will take place when Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Matanza Cueto and a potential fourth superstar set Tampa ablaze. Vengeance is live this Saturday night on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
MONSTER'S BALL CONTRACT SIGNING: With the contract for the Monster's Ball match resting on a table in the center of the ring, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and a plethora of security guards oversaw the confrontation with Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Matanza Cueto. The three behemoths each signed the contract, the WWE Universe waiting anxiously to see if a fourth competitor would step up to the plate. Dario and Stephanie both kept glancing at the stage, the latter hoping that somebody would accept the challenge while Dario was intent on keeping the match a Triple Threat scenario. Stephanie gave it another minute or so before Dario finally spoke up. "What did you expect?! Huh?! You really thought somebody would voluntarily join this match against three of the most destructive forces in the world today?!" Dario shouted at Stephanie, calling her 'foolish' for trying to turn this into a Fatal Four Way match. "Face it, Stephanie! You lost! My Monster's Ball match will happen at Vengeance without any input from you, and there is nothing you can do about it!" Stephanie glared at Dario, clearly enraged over the fact that her attempt to take control of a match he made for Vengeance failed. Stephanie exited the ring and began walking up the entrance ramp, but once she reached the stage, she turned around. This time, she wasn't expressing rage anymore through her facial expression. Instead, she smiled at Dario. The RAW General Manager was heavily confused, but soon understood exactly what was happening once the legendary entrance theme of Triple H sounded. The fans in Richmond rose to their feet and just about blew the roof off of the arena. "Dario Cueto, meet 'The King of Kings'!" exclaimed Corey Graves as Hunter walked out onto the stage. Dario's eyes and mouth widened, not believing for a second that 'The Cerebral Assassin' was standing before him. Stephanie's smile continued to light up her face, the RAW Commissioner finding a way to outsmart Dario. She never intended on a random superstar stepping up to the plate to join the Monster's Ball match because she already knew who it would be taking the fourth spot. If Dario wants to grant Matanza opportunity after opportunity without ever once consulting Stephanie on the matter, then she decided that two can play at that - no pun intended - game. Hunter stepped into the ring, glancing at Reigns, Strowman and Matanza. Three men he's never squared off against, but will on Saturday since he signed his name on the dotted line right in front of Dario.

- No one has seen or heard from Triple H since Money in the Bank when he lost to The Demon Finn Balor but now he is just back and he makes his shocking return as the 4th participant in Monster's Ball. I mean is that even allowed? Does Triple H even meet those requirements? Not to mention Triple H has never faced off against Matanza Cueto nor has he ever faced off against Braun Strowman or even Roman Reigns for that matter.
- Seth Rollins vs Adam Cole for the WWE United States Championship at Vengeance is a Dream Match for me and we get to finally see it happen. However, Rollins is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion but can he win the WWE United States Championship? It just boggles my mind just how Rollins has never been WWE or WWE Universal Champion yet.
- Essentially Wrestling Royalty's last match together as a tag team...so it begs the question of if they decide to go their separate ways and become singles superstars or are they truly done as a tag team? If they are for sure truly done and this is their last match then I can see them doing the job and putting The Revival over as a tag team because God knows The Revival could use the rub especially as WWE RAW Tag Team Champions
- Why does Drake Maverick think he stands any shot at WWE Hardcore Champion Heath Slater?

July 16th, 2014 | Episode 014 | "Dead End"
1) RICOCHET & UHAA NATION DEF. THE VAUDEVILLAINS with a Standing Moonsault and 630 Senton combination to Simon Gotch. Afterwards, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation laid out the challenge to Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal for one more NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity. This time, however, they want the stakes to be raised: TakeOver: MSG in a Ladder match.
TONI STORM AND NIKKI CROSS SLUG IT OUT: While Tom Phillips and Michael Schiavello discussed last week's PROGRESS Championship match that saw Pete Dunne capture the gold from SAnitY's Jimmy Havoc, Toni Storm and Nikki Cross engaged in a brawl that spilled out into the Full Sail Arena. Any attempts made by officials to restrain the two failed, ultimately leading to NXT General Manager Portia Perez coming out to announce that next week, Toni and Nikki will go one-on-one. WHO IS EMBER MOON?: A special video package aired to highlight the journey that Ember Moon has taken up to his point in her career ahead of her NXT Women's Championship match at TakeOver: MSG against Nicole Matthews. Ember noted how it was words of encouragement from Ms. Money in the Bank Paige that persuaded her to give a WWE tryout another opportunity after it failed the first time. Ember's tryout was a success, and because NXT's 'War Goddess' took a chance on herself, she now has one more chance to turn her dream into a reality in Madison Square Garden.
2) LARS SULLIVAN DEF. TYSON DUX with the Freak Accident. As Paul Heyman raised his client's arm in victory, the two were interrupted by 423-GET-FAME comprised of Famous B, The Velveteen Dream, Kalisto, Fenix and Liv Morgan. Famous B made his business proposal to Heyman to merge the two clienteles. When Famous B extended his hand out, Heyman simply laughed in his face before leaving the ring with NXT's 'Leviathan' by his side.
THE QUEEN OF THE RING TOURNAMENT begins two weeks from tonight immediately following NXT on the WWE Network.
3) TYE DILLINGER DEF. KYLE O'REILLY to retain the NXT Championship with a Tye Breaker. During Dillinger's post-match celebration, he was attacked from behind by Bobby Roode, who was making his first appearance in Full Sail University after signing with NXT a few weeks ago. The number one contender for the NXT Championship at TakeOver: MSG planted Dillinger with a Glorious DDT from the top rope. Dillinger landed awkwardly and was clearly in a lot of pain, officials tending to him while Roode raised the NXT Championship in the air.

July 17th, 2014 | Episode 014 | "Black Widows and Black Belts" TAYNARA CONTI BREAKS HER SILENCE: In the opening moments of the final SmackDown Live before The Bash on Sunday, Catch Point's "young girl" Taynara Conti walked down to the ring with Paige's Money in the Bank briefcase that she somehow absconded. Taynara took a microphone and - with her accent that made it difficult for some to fully understand her - said that recently, she and Paige had an encounter in which she got to see the true nature of 'Princess Anarchist' that the WWE Universe doesn't know about. "You all may see Paige as a princess, but she is nothing more than a liar who made up this outrageous lie to make me feel sorry for her." Taynara said that when she had the chance to steal the Money in the Bank briefcase, she took it so that the world will never have the possibility of even seeing her contest for the WWE Championship. Taynara then threatened to reveal Paige's secret to everybody, which prompted Paige to make her way down the entrance ramp. Angrily walking towards Taynara, Paige failed to notice Allie and the Intercontinental Champion TJ Perkins rushing from behind her. The two Catch Point members rolled Paige into the ring, holding her up so that Taynara could strike her with the Money in the Bank briefcase. John Cena thwarted those plans by rescuing Paige to lead into an Intergender Tag Team match.
PAIGE & JOHN CENA DEF. ALLIE & INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION TJ PERKINS via disqualification after Paige and John Cena were hit with the Money in the Bank briefcase and Intercontinental Championship respectively. Paige and Cena were beaten down afterwards by their opponents at The Bash on Sunday, Allie and TJ Perkins making it clear that Catch Point intends on achieving a clean sweep over their competition in 72 hours.
THE BLACK WIDOW, TAKE ONE: At this time, Renee Young attempted to conduct a live interview with AJ Lee from WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Renee greeted AJ, who looked off into the distance at something. The camera panned out to reveal a shrine of Billie Kay's images resting on the floor, Renee asking where AJ got it from. "My apartment," she said casually, further creeping out Renee. "The last few months of your life have been clouded by mysterious and disturbing behavior on your part. First, you went off the rails per se and were given the ultimatum by WWE that you had to get professional help, or else you'd be fired. Once you were cleared, you avoided competing against The Iconic Duo at Money in the Bank... only to be traded to SmackDown and - quite frankly - sexually assault Billie Kay on your first night." The words 'sexual assault' caused AJ to turn her head rather violently towards Renee, assuring her that nothing she did could be classified as assault. "What you and everyone else don't understand is that my encounter with Billie Kay on SmackDown last month wasn't our first time meeting in an intimate setting. You heard Billie's confession from her own mouth. She cheated on Peyton Royce to be with me. I know that might be hard for everyone to believe, especially Peyton, but it's the truth. Billie loves me... and I love her." At that point, AJ ignored Renee's next question to literally go talk to the Billie Kay shrine. AJ picked up one of the pictures and pressed it against her face, promising to keep Billie safe. Renee stepped away from her chair, telling the production crew through her earpiece that she couldn't go on with the interview any longer.
ELIAS DEF. BO ROTUNDO with Drift Away. Post-match, Elias was seemingly satisfied with the outcome and began walking away from the ring, only to slide back in and attack Rotundo. That led to Rotundo's tag team partner, Mojo Rawley, making the save. Elias evaded the ring before Rawley could get a hold of him, the 'Hype Man' shouting at Elias to face off against him.
SHEAMUS SETS HIS SIGHTS ON ANTONIO CESARO AND KASSIUS OHNO: Backstage, Antonio Cesaro was shown walking down a corridor, only to be met once again by Sheamus, whose intentions were still unclear. When Cesaro finally asked what 'The Celtic Warrior' wanted, Sheamus turned the question around. "When's the last time you and Kassius Ohno had a moment in the spotlight? Remember what you accomplished when he wasn't around? Fella, you and I went to war over the Intercontinental Championship. Paul Heyman's christened you as the WWE's next top star. You had one of the most impressive showings in the Royal Rumble match. Now... you're just allowing Kassius Ohno to weigh you down." Sheamus continues to attempt to get into the head of Cesaro, forcing 'The Swiss Superman' to question if his allegiance with Ohno is paying off for him.
KURT ANGLE ATTEMPTS TO INTERVENE: SmackDown Live General Manager Kurt Angle headed down to the ring, calling out Samoa Joe in hopes of being able to get Joe's match against Commissioner Shane McMahon this Sunday at The Bash nullified. Angle told Joe that he understands his frustrations ever since being drafted to SmackDown Live, but what will facing Shane accomplish? "Do you think he and I are suddenly going to place you at the forefront of SmackDown? If anything, this match is only going to make doing business with one another more difficult than it already is." Joe said that Angle should have thought about that a lot sooner. "You're trying to protect your boss and that's fine, but whether you like it or not, Kurt, you and Shane brought all of this onto yourselves. You two claimed that SmackDown Live is the 'Land of Opportunity,' yet every time I asked for an opportunity - not a handout - I was left in the dark. This whole situation could've been avoided, but this is what it's come to." Joe vowed to dismantle Shane at The Bash, and if that doesn't grant him the opportunities that he knows he's earned, then maybe he'll have to take out what's left of SmackDown Live's brass. Joe cornered Angle, the Olympic Gold Medalist trying to reiterate that he's retired and has no interest in getting physical with Joe. 'The Samoa Submission Machine' slowly backed away from Angle, smirking before giving a "three days" gesture with his fingers. Three days until Joe has his one-on-one match against Shane McMahon at The Bash.
JEFF HARDY LAYS OUT HIS MISSION STATEMENT: One week after his shocking return to WWE, Jeff Hardy looks for revenge against WWE Champion CM Punk in a match that is five years in the making tonight. In an undisclosed location backstage, Hardy stood with his back towards the camera. "They say what doesn't kill makes you stronger... but in my case, the entity did not kill me was what became stronger. CM Punk vanquished the existence of Jeffery Nero Hardy from the WWE, and from there, Punk laid the groundwork for his name to be carved into history as the one true 'Charismatic Enigma.' What Punk should have realized the second that his hand was raised in triumph is that no matter what course of action he took, Jeff Hardy would not disappear from the minds, bodies and spirits of the creatures who inhabit the darkness that surrounds him. When the time was right and the darkness needed a light to shine down onto it, that's when the creatures would signal the call to arms. Last week, Jeff Hardy resurrected and resumed the battle that he had left unfinished from a prior life. Tonight... CM Punk comes face-to-face with his worst nightmare. It is not the thought of losing the WWE Championship at The Bash that should frighten him. It's the thought of losing everything else to the man he tried to take it all away from. Yours truly, Jeff Hardy. Ours truly, this life."
DEAN AMBROSE DEF. CHAD GABLE with a roll-up moments after Jason Jordan was ejected from ringside for trying to become the deciding factor. Dean Ambrose headed out of the ring afterwards, Jordan and Chad Gable unable to get their revenge against him for the time being. Ambrose teams with Jeff Hardy this Sunday night at The Bash against Catch Point.
THE BLACK WIDOW, TAKE TWO: Deciding to put cast her judgment of AJ Lee to the side, Renee Young resumed her interview with 'The Black Widow,' asking why she chose to finally display her feelings for Billie Kay after shielding them for so long. AJ stated that the reason she was a mess following WrestleMania was because she believed that Billie and Peyton Royce were destined to live happily ever after and there wasn't anything she could do about it. "No matter what I did, nothing seemed like it was working. I got into Emma's head because I knew that she would summon The Iconic Duo to come to her aid. That's exactly what happened, but when I realized that Emma didn't need them anymore to defeat me, I was running out of options. I showed up in the Elimination Chamber match at Judgment Day to help Billie become SmackDown Women's Champion, but instead, she lost because she still hadn't figured out yet how to approach her feelings for me. At Money in the Bank, I had no interest in fighting the woman who I love with all of my heart. I felt that injury and self-harm were more suitable alternatives for me, so that's the road I went down. But, afterwards... after the match was over and The Iconic Duo had humiliated Alexa Bliss, Peyton proposed and that's the moment I realized that I still very much control this story. If Peyton was willing to get down on one knee and beg Billie to be her wife in front of the entire world, that meant she still had no idea that I gave Billie the greatest night of her life. Peyton made me the puppet master once again, and this Sunday night, I cut the strings and watch as she plummets into oblivion and eternal hell while I get to realize eternal heaven with the most beautiful woman by my side." AJ noticed that Renee was still uncomfortable with the interview, so she decided to purposely make the mood even more daunting and uneasy. "What's the matter, Renee? Are you that much of a prude that you can't handle this? Do you just not want to envision me down on my knees with my lips grazing Billie Kay's p-" Renee immediately stood up and removed her microphone, deciding once again that she couldn't go on with the interview.
JOHNNY GARGAO, TYSON KIDD & ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS & SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE USOS after a Red Arrow onto Jimmy Uso. After the closing bell, Andrade Almas and Zelina Vega headed up the entrance ramp while Johnny Gargano confronted Tyler Breeze, who watched the contest from the announce table.
THE BASH CARD RUNDOWN: Jeff Hardy makes his return to Pay-Per-View when he teams with Dean Ambrose to battle Chad Gable and Jason Jordan of Catch Point. The Usos defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Tyson Kidd and Adrian Neville in a Two-out-of-Three Falls match. Andrade 'Cien' Almas puts the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Johnny Gargano and Tyler Breeze. Samoa Joe takes on Shane McMahon. Paige risks it all when she defends her Money in the Bank briefcase against Allie. John Cena looks to become a Grand Slam winner against Intercontinental Champion TJ Perkins. AJ Lee and Peyton Royce meet in a 'Till Death Do Us Part match where the winner will be allowed to marry Billie Kay. Lastly, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn vie for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Elimination match. The Bash is live this Sunday night on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
JEFF HARDY DEF. WWE CHAMPION CM PUNK IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via the Swanton Bomb. After five years, Jeff Hardy finally gets his retribution against the man who tried ridding the WWE of him. Post-match, Hardy celebrated with his Creatures of the Night while Punk clutched the WWE Championship to his chest at ringside. All it'll take on Sunday is for either Cody Rhodes or Sami Zayn to do to him what Hardy just accomplished, and his title reign will be over.
THE BLACK WIDOW, FINAL TAKE: Trying one more time to get answers from AJ Lee, Renee Young resumed her interview once more. Renee asked AJ what it would mean to her to defeat Peyton Royce this Sunday at The Bash in the 'Till Death Do Us Part match. AJ said that it would literally mean everything to her because she would be obtaining something that she didn't think was possible. "Growing up, nobody loved me. Not boys. Not girls. Nobody cared about me the way I always wanted someone to. Every relationship I've had beforehand turned to complete ruin because I did something wrong. I know you and everyone else might be painting me out to be the bad guy in all of this because I'm intruding on two people who are said to be in love, but remember this. Billie cheated on Peyton to be with me. She's the one who gave me these feelings. I didn't do anything wrong, okay? Nobody is responsible for who they fall in love with. It just happens. I never asked to carry romantic feelings for Billie Kay, but that's where we're at now. I'm sure Peyton wants Billie, but I NEED Billie. I have never needed something more than I need her hand in marriage. All of the accolades I've received in my career... four time champion... 2013 Match of the Year... I'd give all of that up in a heartbeat if it meant that I could be with Billie Kay." At that moment, Renee listened in to something being registered into her earpiece from Paige, who somehow had taken control of the production truck.
"Peyton Royce is in the building. Get out now."
Complying with the order, Renee got up from her chair and exited the room through a door away from the entrance. "Hey, where are you going?" AJ asked Renee, questioning why the interview was being cut short. Seconds later, the door opened and Peyton Royce ran into the room, Clotheslining AJ out of her seat! Peyton struck AJ repeatedly in the forehead while security rushed in to try stopping her. When they got a hold of Peyton, she looked off towards the front of the room, noticing the shrine of Billie that AJ had brought with her. That triggered Peyton's anger to a whole new level. One-half of The Iconic Duo broke free from the guards and grabbed AJ. Peyton threw AJ into a window, nearly plunging her from the fifth story of WWE Headquarters down to the ground. AJ's lifeless body dangled over the window, security quickly pulling her back into the room so that she wouldn't plummet to her death. Peyton was forcefully escorted out of the room, screaming at AJ that on Sunday, she's going to kill her.

- Jeff Hardy is back for one thing and that is revenge on CM Punk for what happened 5 years ago. I mean it makes sense so Punk had to know what was coming. However, what Jeff doesn't realize is that CM Punk is not the same Punk he remembers. CM Punk is not Straight Edge because he is The Best in the World and CM Punk has grown into his Best in the World moniker by not only winning his matches but winning them decisively. CM Punk is the WWE Champion but it is only a matter of time before he and Jeff cross paths.
- Jeff Hardy in his first match back in a WWE ring beats CM Punk the WWE Champion...Jeff Hardy just pinned the WWE Champion. By him doing that he basically just earned himself a WWE Championship match in the near future which is why I think Jeff Hardy will get the next shot at the title no matter who the champion is whether it be CM Punk, Sami Zayn or Cody Rhodes depending on who wins the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship at The Bash.
- What kind of BS is this? I mean you have 2 women beating the holy hell out of each other and one almost killing another at WWE Headquarters is this really what the WWE has come to in this diary? AJ Lee could have fallen out of that window and she could have been seriously hurt or even died like what the hell is going on? This has gone too damn far even for my liking
- It is obvious The Bar will be formed and Cesaro will turn heel on Ohno by leaving Ohno in the dust and forming a new tag team with Sheamus - Love this heel turn of Joe and even more so I want to see the Dream Match of McMahon/Joe with Shane taking on Samoa Joe...because if the feud escalates then you could even have Samoa Joe end up feuding with the whole McMahon family by extension...similarly to Orton in 2009

SHOW INTRO: After the signature WWE intro, a video package opened Vengeance, beginning with highlights of The Cueto Cup up to this point. In the final match-up taking place tonight, The Miz and Finn Balor will collide with a Universal Championship match at SummerSlam on the line. Remaining on the topic of the Universal Championship, the next shot in the video was of AJ Styles making his return at Money in the Bank, only to cost Kevin Owens the gold against Derrick Bateman. Owens and Styles will not only have the chance to settle their score tonight, but Bateman and the Universal Championship will also come into play in a Triple Threat match. In what has become a very heated, personal rivalry since Alexa Bliss' arrival on Monday Night RAW, 'Little Miss Bliss' will meet her assailant, RAW Women's Champion and Ms. Money in the Bank Emma, one-on-one for the women's division's most prized possession. Lastly, all hell will break loose in WWE's second-ever Monster's Ball. Roman Reigns, Matanza Cueto, Braun Strowman, and as we learned last Monday, Triple H, will all meet with no rules and no restrictions. Tonight, the superstars of Monday Night RAW will seek vengeance on the road to SummerSlam.
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: The WWE Universe members in Tampa came unglued at the sound of Seth Rollins' entrance music, screaming "Burn it down!" in unison. Rollins made his way down to the ring, ready to seize his first-ever United States Championship against one of RAW's hottest acts since the brand extension three months ago. Countering Rollins' declaration to burn down the establishment was Adam Cole's own declaration to "Shock the system." Once on the stage, Cole sent Chris Jericho, Michael Bennett and Maria Kanellis back to the locker room, determining that he could defeat 'The Architect' on his own. Cole started off the contest aggressively, trying to keep Rollins grounded on the canvas. Cole threw Rollins over the top rope, only for Rollins to land on the ring apron. Rollins springboarded off of the top rope with a Clothesline, struggling to get back to his feet. At that moment, The Undisputed ERA went against Cole's words from earlier and headed down to ringside. Rollins took care of both Jericho and Bennett, but during that distraction, Cole took the United States Championship and leveled Rollins in the head with it! Cole covered Rollins, the official finally turning around to start his count. Miraculously, Rollins kicked out! The stunned Cole set Rollins up for a Superkick while on his knees. Rollins grabbed Cole's foot, throwing him back onto the canvas for a Superkick of his own! Rollins placed Cole on the top rope for a Superplex, executing it perfectly. Rollins tried following up with the Falcon Arrow, but Cole countered it into a Brainbuster onto his knee! Cole looked to finish off Rollins with a Shining Wizard, but Rollins managed to catch him on his shoulders and throw him into a corner with a Buckle Bomb! The prone Cole fell victim to a Curb Stomp, Rollins covering him to capture the win! SETH ROLLINS IS THE NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!
'The Architect' adds another accolade to his outstanding resume that already included the NXT and Intercontinental Championships. Rollins was handed the United States Championship, raising it in the air for the very first time. Rollins has struggled to find his footing ever since the brand extension, but no longer an associate of Triple H, 'The Architect' returns to the top of Monday Night RAW, this time as the brand new United States Champion after besting Adam Cole and The Undisputed ERA.
ALEISTER BLACK VS. THE ADDICTION: The anomaly that is Aleister Black faced his toughest challenge to date as the undefeated 'Dutch Destroyer' went up against Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian all on his own in a Handicap match. Per rule implemented by RAW General Manager Dario Cueto to test the true strength of Black, The Addiction did not have to tag in and out, allowing both superstars to take down the undefeated anomaly. Daniels and Kazarian believed they had the victory after a Leg Drop and Best Moonsault Ever combo, only for Black to kick out. Daniels positioned Black for the Angel's Wings, but Black was able to fight out of it with a Back Body Drop. Kazarian springboarded off of the top rope for a Clothesline, but Black caught him in mid-air with Black Mass! Kazarian was knocked out as a stunned Daniels glanced at his fallen tag team partner in shock. Daniels charged towards Black, but 'The Dutch Destroyer' connected with a Black Mass of his own. Black covered Daniels to pick up the victory and extend his winning streak. ALEISTER BLACK DEFEATS THE ADDICTION!
Post-match, Aleister Black sat cross-legged between the fallen bodies of both Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian after dispatching both superstars in what was his toughest challenge to date. Corey Graves stated that all men are mortal, and Black's luck will run out sooner than later. Even if that may be the case, Mauro Ranallo believed that Black's path of destruction on Monday Night RAW is only beginning, and Black will not stop until he's reached the pinnacle of the brand: the Universal Championship.
"LIKE A TIME BOMB TICKING IN YOUR HEAD, PARANOIA CLOUDING YOUR JUDGMENT": A video package aired for the conclusion of RAW General Manager Dario Cueto's latest 'unique opportunity' that is The Cueto Cup. Eight superstars from the red brand battled it out to determine the challenger for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. With "Paranoia" by A Day to Remember backing the montage, both Finn Balor and The Miz's journeys to this evening were recapped. "I'm hearing footsteps outside of my house. I'm afraid someone's trying to take me out." Balor managed to overcome Adam Cole and Matanza Cueto, while RAW's newest superstar shattered the hopes and dreams of Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins on his way to the final match-up. Who will win the inaugural Cueto Cup and earn a Universal Championship opportunity in Madison Square Garden? "I'm like a time bomb ticking in your head. Paranoia clouding your judgment. And no matter what you do about it, I'm still in your head."
CUETO CUP FINALS: For the first time on a main roster Pay-Per-View, Finn Balor was without his 'Demon' persona, Corey Graves taking the appearance of Balor in a leather jacket and black attire as a sign that he doesn't see The Miz as a credible threat. Balor's facial expression said otherwise, though, focusing solely on the stage as the lights dimmed for the arrival of Monday Night RAW's 'A-lister.' Miz made his way over to RAW from SmackDown Live last month as part of a trade following Money in the Bank, and he is only one match away from earning a shot at the brand's top prize in Madison Square Garden. Miz and Balor were on an even playing field for the early minutes of the match until Miz kicked Balor into the ring post. Miz took apart the steel steps, trying for a Vertical Suplex onto the bottom portion. Balor was able to free himself, throwing Miz over the announce table before rolling him back into the ring. Balor ascended to the top rope for Coup de Grace, but Miz was able to push him off. Balor's left thigh smacked against the steel steps, Miz quickly taking advantage and delivering a Skull Crushing Finale! Somehow, Balor was able to get his shoulder up! 'The A-lister' only became aggravated, attempting another Skull Crushing Finale that Balor countered into a pinning predicament for the near-fall. Miz grabbed Balor's legs during a Shotgun Dropkick attempt, slingshotting him into a corner. Miz climbed onto the top turnbuckle, Balor fighting back before placing him in position for an Avalanche Bloody Sunday! After spiking Miz on the back of his head, Balor returned to the top rope one more time to successfully connect with Coup de Grace for the win. FINN BALOR WINS THE CUETO CUP!
Despite all of The Miz's attempts to weaken him during the contest, Finn Balor comes out on top of not only this match, but the inaugural Cueto Cup altogether. Hobbling on one leg, Balor took the Cueto Cup trophy from ringside, raising it while looking at all of his Balor Club members in Tampa. No matter who is victorious in tonight's Universal Championship match with Derrick Bateman, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles, they'll have Balor waiting for them in Madison Square Garden at SummerSlam.
DANIEL BRYAN VS. RANDY ORTON: Trying to eliminate the thorn by his side that is The Wyatt Tribe, Daniel Bryan made his way down to the ring in Tampa, being greeted as usual by a sea of "Yes!" chants from the WWE Universe. Randy Orton then made his presence felt, but without Bray Wyatt, Pentagon or Maxine by his side. Orton chose to go in alone and use his methodical tactics to his advantage to take control of Bryan during the opening moments. Bryan found a burst of energy later on, Dropkicking Orton out of the ring. Bryan stepped onto the ring apron and leaped off for a flying knee, only for Orton to catch him with a Scoop Powerslam! Orton threw Bryan upwards and onto the surface of the announce table before rolling him into the ring for a two count. Orton placed Bryan on the top rope, attempting a Superplex that Bryan was able to counter by bringing Orton's throat down onto the rope. Bryan followed up with a Diving Headbutt, only getting the near-fall off of 'The Viper.' Bryan backed into a corner, shouting "Yes!" repeatedly to set up for the Busakiu Knee. However, The Wyatt Tribe would then finally head down to ringside, Bryan having to restrain himself from going after them this time. Orton caught Bryan with a boot as he was charging towards him, throwing him shoulder-first into the ring post afterwards. Orton then began coiling for the RKO, but Bryan managed to turn into a pinning predicament with a backslide, surprising Orton with the three count! DANIEL BRYAN DEFEATS RANDY ORTON!
The fans in the Amalie Arena came unglued for Daniel Bryan's win, but the celebration was short-lived as Bray Wyatt and Pentagon took that moment to finally strike. The stomped away on Bryan before allowing Orton to get his shots in. After Bryan was planted with a Pentagon Driver, Orton stepped into a corner, his mind wandering off into an even darker place as he had his sights set on punting Bryan. However, the entrance music of The New Day sounded, immediately thwarting those plans. Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods - three men who were last seen being taken out by The Wyatt Tribe - ran down to the ring to take the fight to Orton, Wyatt and Pentagon. The three villainous superstars had to retreat while New Day stood their ground, acting as a defense unit to keep Bryan safe. No matter how many times The Wyatt Tribe attempt to keep them down, The New Day will always find a way to get back up and continue fighting the good fight against Wyatt, Pentagon and Orton.
A promo was shown for SummerSlam, featuring the event's main theme song, "High Hopes" by Panic! At the Disco. SummerSlam is live Sunday August 17th from Madison Square Garden.
STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: At the beginning of 2012, two superstars who struggled to gain opportunities decided to band together and change the path of their careers. On April 6th of that same year, Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig proved their doubters wrong by becoming WWE Tag Team Champions, a reign that would last until April 15th of the following year. When issuing this challenge to The Revival, DiBiase and Hennig vowed that win or lose, this would be the final match for both men in WWE. Wrestling Royalty were locked inside of a Steel Cage against Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, and when the door closed, both teams unleashed seven months of aggression and hatred against each other. Revival had the advantage after Dawon picked Hennig up, driving him against DiBiase and into one of the steel walls. Dawson and Wilder tried to keep one member isolated at different times, giving them opportunities to weaken both competitors equally. Dawson applied a Kneebar onto Hennig while Wilder climbed to the top rope. Before Wilder could crush the knee of Hennig, DiBiase ran onto the top rope, smashing Wilder's head against the steel. Dawson tried to go after DiBiase, but Hennig managed to bring him down from the top rope with a Powerbomb. DiBiase pushed Wilder onto the canvas, delivering an Elbow Drop for a two count. Dawson charged towards Hennig, but was hoisted into the air for a Shatter Machine! Falling victim to his team's own maneuver, Dawson was able to get his shoulder up just in the nick of time. DiBiase began scaling the cage, trying for what looked to be another Elbow Drop, this time from as high up as he could possibly go. Wilder clipped Hennig behind his knee, throwing him against the steel wall to neutralize him as a threat. Dawson was able to get back up to his feet, going after DiBiase. Dawson got a hold of his leg, DiBiase trying to fight back and free himself. However, Dawson was able to send DiBiase flying forward with a Flapjack that turned into the biggest Shatter Machine ever delivered! Wilder covered DiBiase while Dawson prevented Hennig from being able to intervene. THE REVIVAL ARE STILL RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
With the sound of the bell came the end of one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder exited the steel cage as they were handed back the RAW Tag Team Championships. The Revival left up the entrance ramp, Wrestling Royalty slowly rising to their feet in the ring while the steel cage was raised. The WWE Universe members in Tampa gave Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig a standing ovation that was well-deserved after the run that they've had for almost two and a half years. Chants of "Royalty!" filled the atmosphere in the Amalie Arena, DiBiase and Hennig both clearly overcome with emotion as it was finally hitting them that this was the end of the road. No matter what, their record as the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions will stand the test of time in the record books. The curtain has now closed on this generation's most storied tag team. One last time, DiBiase and Hennig raised each other's arms before exiting the ring for good. Thank you, Wrestling Royalty.
"DON'T SAY YOU TRIED, YOU'RE JUST MAKING IT PERSONAL": As it was now time for the RAW Women's Championship to be defended, a video package commenced featuring "Personal" by Palisades. After being taken in the 2nd round of the WWE Draft, Emma quickly made her impact on the main roster by defeating AJ Lee at No Mercy for the Women's Title, albeit with assistance from Billie Kay and Peyton Royce in a situation that would later become more destructive than anyone could have imagined. After capturing the Hardcore Championship as well at Bad Blood, Emma claimed her third Pay-Per-View victory in a row by winning the Money in the Bank contract that grants her a future Universal Championship opportunity. "Fake it 'till you make it. Spitting all the same crap, then you sit back down on the made-up throne, but everyone knows, so." The following night, Alexa Bliss was traded to Monday Night RAW, and the superstar who carried the WWE Women's Championship into WrestleMania quickly set her sights on Emma's gold. Alexa played a pivotal role in Emma losing the Hardcore Championship to Heath Slater, so one week later, Emma decided to one-up her adversary in an incredibly disturbing scene. Emma attacked Alexa and forced her index finger down her throat, causing her to vomit on live television. Alexa's past struggles with eating disorders and anorexia were public knowledge, Emma purposely choosing to target her where it would hurt the most. "The web is wide, you're caught inside and it's looking more pitiful. Believe this time that I'm taking it personal."
RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: "I am enough." The words on Alexa Bliss' newest t-shirt communicated very clearly the message that she is trying to send to the WWE Universe after having her body, mind and spirit put through hell over the last two weeks. This was Alexa's first appearance since Emma's heinous attack, and 'Little Miss Bliss' wanted to not only make Emma suffer for her actions, but take everything away from her in the process. Emma made her way down to the ring with the RAW Women's Title around her waist and the Money in the Bank briefcase in her left hand, raising it to show Alexa that no matter what, she can't take away the fact that she is one of the only two women to ever win a Money in the Bank Ladder match. When the bell sounded, Alexa charged towards Emma immediately, almost disregarding the official's count to get herself disqualified. Emma rolled out of the ring, Alexa flying into her with a Crossbody off of the ring apron. Alexa had to keep her aggression in check since it nearly cost her later on after Emma lured her to the announce table. Emma planted Alexa against the table with a Vertical Suplex before rolling her into the ring for a two count. Emma stomped on Alexa's stomach once before marveling at the expression of pain on her face. Emma did so again two more times, the official making sure that Alexa was still in condition to keep going after every stomp. Emma grabbed Alexa's face, raising her index finger. Emma tried once again to force Alexa to vomit, but this time, Alexa managed to bite her finger! Alexa rose to her feet before striking Emma across her head, following up with a DDT! Alexa got the cover, but Emma was able to kick out just after two. Alexa headed to the top rope for Twisted Bliss, Emma throwing herself into the ropes to stop Alexa. Emma climbed onto the second rope, placing Emma in position for what looked to be an Avalanche Northern Lights Suplex. Instead, Alexa was able to counter it into an incredible DDT that resembled a Canadian Destroyer, spiking Emma onto the top of her head. Emma was down and out as Alexa returned to the highest point of the squared circle once again for Twisted Bliss, this time successfully connecting with it! Alexa got the cover on Emma while holding her stomach, the official making the three count! ALEXA BLISS IS THE NEW RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
With the closing bell came the realization for Alexa Bliss that she was now a two-time Women's Champion when just this time last year, no one in the WWE Universe could have ever imagined her touching the title at least once. Alexa rose to her feet as she was handed the RAW Women's Title, holding the title in the air as the fans in Tampa cheered her on. "You have to think that this title victory means a lot more to Alexa than her first one. Unlike the Last Diva Standing match with AJ Lee, Alexa bested her adversary all on her own. And she did it against someone who targeted the darkest, most personal canals of her life," said Mauro Ranallo. Alexa walked up the entrance ramp with the RAW Women's Title while Emma clutched her Money in the Bank briefcase to her chest. The contract for a Universal Championship match is all that she has left to her name. She lost the Hardcore Championship. She just lost the RAW Women's Championship, and the Money in the Bank contract doesn't guarantee her the Universal Championship. If she cashes it in and fails, she'll be left with nothing.
UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP: In a situation where he doesn't even have to be pinned to lose his Universal Championship, Derrick Bateman went into this match as cautious as he's ever been. Perhaps to his luck, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles began battling it out before 'The God of the New Era' even made his entrance. Owens and Styles brawled on the outside, Bateman waiting for the right moment to strike and catch one of them off-guard. Styles ran towards Owens, but was planted with a Pop-Up Powerbomb onto the floor! Bateman then ran down to ringside, trying to level Owens with the championship. Owens dodged the attack and caught Bateman with a Superkick before rolling him into the ring. Owens went for another Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Styles grabbed his foot and pulled him out underneath the bottom rope. Styles kicked Owens below the belt before throwing him over the announce table. Styles turned his attention to Bateman, the only person he has any interest in defeating to finally capture the Universal Title. With Owens out of commission for the time being, Styles and Bateman resumed their rivalry one-on-one. Bateman was able to target Styles' back that Owens had just weakened not too long ago. Bateman brought Styles onto his shoulders for an Electric Chair, Styles able to roll him into a pinning predicament. Bateman kicked out, but was then caught with a Pele Kick. Styles headed out to ringside for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Owens was able to pull him down to the floor. Owens flopped onto Styles with a Senton before targeting Bateman, who lifted him up with a Flapjack onto the top rope. Bateman struck Owens repeatedly before placing him in a corner to choke him with his boot. Styles then ran behind Bateman, moving him out of the way to go after Owens. Styles connected with several strikes before Owens delivered a Headbutt, Owens shoved Styles into Bateman, both men backing into a corner. Owens ran into his two opponents with a single Cannonball before bringing Styles up to his feet. Owens screamed into Styles' face before throwing him into the ropes, trying for one more Pop-Up Powerbomb. While Styles was in motion, Bateman shoved Owens out of the way. Bateman hoisted Styles onto his shoulders for a TKO, but Owens delivered a Superkick to him. Owens threw Bateman into the ropes this time, Styles charging towards Owens from behind. Owens was able to tuck his head, causing Styles to be the one who ran into the top rope. Styles whiplashed onto the canvas, Bateman running his knee into the side of Owens' head. Bateman placed Owens onto his shoulders, connecting with the TKO that gave him the victory against all odds. DERRICK BATEMAN IS STILL UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!
Just like nearly every time before, Derrick Bateman somehow found a way to escape with his Universal Championship reign intact. Bateman rolled out of the ring, reclaiming the title from ringside before heading up the entrance ramp while raising it. The overall #1 draft pick continues to prove his worth by dominating Monday Night RAW as the WWE Universal Champion. He's managed to put away Kevin Owens and AJ Styles, but what Bateman may not have realized yet was that he already has his next challenger set as a result of The Cueto Cup.
'The God of the New Era' vs. 'The Demon'.
Derrick Bateman vs. Finn Balor for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam in Madison Square Garden.
A promo was shown for The Bash tomorrow night. CM Punk defends the WWE Championship against Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Elimination match. Peyton Royce battles AJ Lee in a 'Till Death Do Us Part match for the right to marry Billie Kay. Paige puts the Money in the Bank briefcase on the line against Allie, and John Cena looks to become a Grand Slam winner when he takes on TJ Perkins for the Intercontinental Championship. The Bash, live tomorrow night on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
"HARDWIRED TO SELF-DESTRUCT": The stage was set for the main event of the evening. In WWE's second-ever Monster's Ball, four of the most dominant forces in professional wrestling were about to let loose with absolutely no rules holding them back. Metallica's "Hardwired" accompanied the video package that began with Matanza Cueto's arrival to WWE just prior to WrestleMania. Matanza set his sights on Roman Reigns, who had been targeting RAW General Manager Dario Cueto at that point. Matanza was able to take Reigns out of the equation for just a few weeks, but in that time, he made an enemy out of 'The Monster Among Men' Braun Strowman. One Reigns entered the picture again at Money in the Bank, it became a three-way war between RAW's juggernauts. "In the name of desperation. In the name of wretched pain. In the name of all creation gone insane." It became clear that the three monsters needed to settle the score, and the only fitting environment was determined by Dario as Monster's Ball. However, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced that because Monster's Ball is traditionally a Fatal Four Way, one more superstar needed to join the match in order for it to take place. An open contract was laid on the table during RAW six nights ago, and answering the call turned out to be a man who can match the ruthlessness of Strowman, Reigns and Matanza. 'The Game' Triple H signed the contract, making his inclusion in the match official. "We're so f***ed. Sh*t out of luck. Hardwired to self-destruct."
MONSTER'S BALL: After being contained in separate rooms for 24 hours with no food, water or light, all four combatants were let loose the second that the bell rang. Triple H and Roman Reigns went after one another while Matanza Cueto and Braun Strowman did the same. RAW General Manager Dario Cueto was shown exiting his office that was set up on the side of the stage to witness the chaos unfold with his own eyes. Reigns caught Hunter with a jab before throwing him out of the ring, taking apart the announce table that Corey Graves finally stated he believed was only set up at ringside as opposed to the stage so that these four superstars would have quicker access to it when the time finally came. Hunter got back to his feet and charged into Reigns, pummeling him with repeated strikes while Reigns lied on the surface of the table. In the ring, Matanza picked Strowman up for Wrath of the Gods, covering him for what turned out to only be a one count! Strowman stood to his feet and screamed at Matanza, who responded with a Belly-to-Bell Suplex before heading to the top rope uncharacteristically. Matanza leaped off with a Moonsault, Strowman getting his knees up in time. Strowman rolled to the outside of the ring, bringing out a steel chair. Matanza ended up Dropkicking the chair into Strowman's face, following up wth a German Suplex to 'The Monster Among Men.' Matanza took the chair and struck Strowman in the back with it nonstop. Matanza then rolled out of the ring, bringing out a table that he positioned at ringside. Matanza grabbed Strowman's leg and pulled him out of the ring, continuing to strike him in order to weaken him. Matanza looked underneath the ring again, this time bringing out a lead pipe. Matanza choked Strowman with the pipe, ensuring that he was unconsciousness before placing him onto the table. On the other side of the ring, Reigns caught Hunter with a Superman Punch before gearing up for the Drive By Kick. While running towards Hunter, 'The Game' picked Reigns up off of his feet for a Spinebuster through the announce table! Matanza headed to the top rope, leaping through the air with a Moonsault that broke Strowman and the table in half!
With Hunter and Matanza being the only two superstars responsive at that point, they met in the center of the ring for the first time ever. The two exchanged strikes before Hunter caught Matanza with his patented knee strike, only for the maneuver to have no effect on 'The Monster.' A puzzled Hunter was taken out with a Clothesline from Matanza, who then managed to actually deadlift 'The King of Kings' off of the canvas for a German Suplex! Matanza continued to Suplex Hunter around the ring before he finally broke free. Hunter chopped Matanza repeatedly, opening up the chest portion of his gear to make the strikes more impactful. With Matanza in a corner, Hunter charged towards him, only to be taken out with a running Crossbody. Both Hunter and Matanza were down and out as Strowman got back to his feet, standing on the ring apron. Reigns was once again responsive, and instead of going after either Hunter or Matanza, he launched himself into Strowman with a Spear through the ropes! Strowman crashed onto the floor, Reigns able to get back up rather quickly. 'The One Man Army' brought Strowman up, leveling him with closed-fist shots as the two headed up the entrance ramp. When Reigns went for a Superman Punch, Strowman grabbed him by his neck and threw him into one of the walls of Dario's office. Matanza joined the battle, pushing Strowman into the office before kicking him repeatedly. Matanza attempted a big strike, but Strowman was able to move out of the way, causing Matanza to punch through the window of the office! Matanza retreated for a few seconds to tend to his hand that showed blood emanating from his knuckles. Strowman got to his feet, but just as he did, Reigns Speared him through the office wall! Both Reigns and Strowman were down and out, covered in whatever rubble was left of the wall that once stood. Dario looked on in shock, horrified that his office had been caught in the line of fire in this match. Matanza walked into the office, stepping over the bodies of Reigns and Strowman to grab what he originally came for: the bull statue.
With the bull statue that had some sort of family merit to Dario and Matanza, 'The Monster' walked back down to the ring, intending to level Hunter with it. What Matanza didn't realize was that 'The Game' had brought his signature sledgehammer into play. Matanza ran towards Hunter, but ended up having the bull statue shattered with the sledgehammer! Matanza held the remains of the statue in his hand before being struck in the mid-section with the sledgehammer. Hunter then connected with the Pedigree to Matanza, covering him to capture the win in this chaotic main event. TRIPLE H WINS MONSTER'S BALL!
The carnage was displayed clearly in the aftermath of the Monster's Ball. Matanza lied in the center of the ring with a bloody hand and shattered bull statue while help finally came for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman after the two crashed through Dario Cueto's office as a result of a Spear! RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon joined Triple H in the ring, raising her husband's arm in victory. RAW General Manager Dario Cueto also arrived in the ring, checking on not only Matanza, but the bull statue that had been destroyed just moments ago. Dario picked up the two pieces that used to make up the bull's head, staring at the remains in disbelief. Hunter slowly approached Dario from behind, the fans in the Amalie Arena chanting "Yes!" repeatedly. Hunter then turned Dario around, executing a Pedigree onto him as well! Hunter and Stephanie stood tall over Dario and Matanza, showing once and for all that the McMahons reign supreme over all facets of not just WWE, but professional wrestling altogether.

- Triple H in his return wins Monster's Ball beating Reigns, Matanza Cueto and Braun Strowman basically made not only Triple H look strong in his return but seeing Triple H pedigree Matanza Cueto but also his brother Dario Cueto the RAW GM and his wife Stephanie out to celebrate with her husband...it makes me wonder if this was the start of a Triple H and Stephanie babyface turn for both of them? The fans obviously ate up every bit of it but I wonder where does this leave Matanza? Reigns? Or even Strowman now that Monster's Ball is over?
- Derrick Bateman is still the WWE Universal Champion beating both Kevin Owens and AJ Styles in the Triple Threat to retain his title basically just goes to show us that no matter who is put in front of Bateman he always finds a way to get the job done and win. I mean how long has he been champion now? Now he has to defend that title at SummerSlam against the Cueto Cup winner The Demon Finn Balor...I wonder if Finn Balor will wear his Demon paint and come out as The Demon for SummerSlam?
- Finn Balor is again on a roll winning the Cueto Cup beating Miz in the Final to win it all...Balor was my pick all along. I mean Balor he has been on a roll ever since the Brand Split even happened and ever since he got called up to the main roster from NXT and then him beating Triple H in his major feud which culminated at Money in the Bank. Now Finn has a championship match at SummerSlam but will he be able to get the job done against Bateman?
- Alexa Bliss is finally RAW Women's Champion...it seems the journey has finally culminated in her becoming champion and this is her first title reign as champion in this diary. How special it is for her to win it not only here at Vengeance but to be able to beat Emma who has been torturing her for months on end and then for Emma to do what she did to Alexa Bliss on RAW and Alexa being able to come back from that to win this match winning the title it begs the question of where Alexa goes from here? I mean Emma she has a rematch clause for that title
- The Revival retire possibly the greatest tag team or one of the greatest tag teams of the modern era in Wrestling Royalty in the Steel Cage to retain their RAW Tag Team Championships...something tells me that after this that no one will be able to beat The Revival for those titles. I mean look at the list of names they have beaten already to either win the title or retain it. I mean it begs the question of who even tries to challenge them for those titles.
- Daniel Bryan beating Randy Orton of The Wyatt Family was definitely expected because I expect the Orton/Bryan feud to continue anyway but then seeing The Wyatts attack Bryan post match only for all 3 members of The New Day to show up to make the save for Bryan and the 3 members of The Wyatt Family Orton, Pentagon and Bray Wyatt in retreat...I mean the numbers game was on the side of the faces 4 on 3 so it is no wonder the Wyatts hightailed it out of there but I can see this culminating in a new Wyatt Family member coming in to even the odds or a returning member joins back into the fold
- Aleister Black's monster push on RAW from NXT continues on the main roster with Black winning yet another match...this time a Handicap Match against The Addiction who are former Tag Team Champions in their own right and Black managed to beat them with ease. I mean the odds were 2 against 1 and yeah sure they controlled the pace for most of it but Black wasn't losing this match and not to mention he has been on a roll so who can stop Aleister Black? Can anybody do it on RAW?
- Seth Rollins is "The Man" not Becky Lynch...Rollins is the true Man of the WWE and he certainly proved it here by beating Adam Cole of The Undisputed Era in order to become the new WWE United States Champion which just adds to Rollins' accolades already in this diary. I mean Cole obviously has a rematch for that title but then again it wouldn't surprise me if Cole decides to set his sights on the WWE Universal Championship which means Manifest Destiny.

SHOW INTRO: After the signature WWE intro, a video package began playing featuring all members of Catch Point discussing their upcoming matches tonight. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vowed to turn the 'dream team' of Jeff Hardy and Dean Ambrose in to the WWE Universe's worst nightmare. Allie said that she let the opportunity to humiliate Paige slip away from her on the Battleground Kickoff, but when the Money in the Bank briefcase is on the line tonight, she'll take full advantage. TJ Perkins has the biggest match of his career awaiting for him, and he's the only man standing in between John Cena and the Grand Slam achievement that would come via winning the Intercontinental Championship. Lastly, WWE Champion CM Punk asserted that he's defeated Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes before, so doing the same in a Triple Threat match comes as no challenge to him. After the shot of Catch Point faded to black, maniacal laughter from AJ Lee could be heard while a shot of her sitting in a dark room with a veil over her head was shown. AJ has the chance tonight to become the bride to the woman of her dreams, but it needs to come at the expense of Peyton Royce's happiness in a 'Till Death Do Us Part match.
Tonight, the world will witness something that will never be forgotten.
Welcome to The Bash.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: The one championship in WWE that has eluded John Cena for his entire career was right in front of him. All that the most polarizing star of all-time needed to do was best arguably the most hated individual on SmackDown Live, the Intercontinental Champion TJ Perkins. TJP headed down to the ring and set up a chair for Catch Point's student, Taynara Conti, to watch him compete in the biggest match of his career. Early on, Cena was notably caught off guard by TJP's quickness and ability to sidestep his offensive maneuvers. Nigel McGuinness noted that Cena was making the same mistake that all of TJP's previous opponents did, which was underestimating him. After taking Cena down with an Inverted DDT, TJP got back to his feet and dabbed in Cena's face before trying for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, something he attempted on SmackDown Live a few weeks back. Just like before, Cena was able to counter it and set TJP up for the Attitude Adjustment. TJP was able to force Cena against the ropes, both men falling out. TJP placed his hands onto Taynara's lap to help himself up. When he turned around, he saw Cena charging full speed at him. TJP moved out of the way, inadvertently causing Cena to crash into Taynara! While Cena checked on Taynara, TJP shoved his adversary into the ring post. TJP rolled Cena back into the ring, delivering the Detonation Kick to get the cover. Cena's kick out at two only angered TJP, who then brought Cena into the center of the ring for a Leg Lariat. Cena kicked TJP away and set him up for another Attitude Adjustment, this time hitting it. However, TJP was miraculously able to get his shoulder up in time. The stunned Cena picked TJP up and positioned him on the top rope for a Superplex. TJP pushed Cena onto the canvas, trying to follow up with a Crossbody. Cena was able to grab TJP in mid-air, planting him with a second Attitude Adjustment that he held onto the wrist during. Cena rolled TJP into a third Attitude Adjustment, covering him to achieve something he had never done before in his 12-year career. JOHN CENA IS THE NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!
A reaction that was more positive than usual for John Cena could be heard coming from the stands in the Amalie Arena as 'The Franchise Player' was presented with the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career. TJ Perkins rolled out of the ring and staggered up the entrance ramp, the commentators pointing out that he never once bothered to check on Taynara Conti after she was inadvertently struck at ringside. Cena stood on the second rope and raised the Intercontinental Title, completing his quest to become a Grand Slam winner.
SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: For the third Pay-Per-View event in a row, The Usos met Tyson Kidd and Adrian Neville to determine who truly is the best tag team on SmackDown Live. This time, the score was sure to be settled in a Two-out-of-Three Falls match. The first defense for Jimmy and Jey had a shaky start as the two struggled to garner success from any pinfall attempts, even after isolating Kidd from the legal Neville. After taking out Jimmy with an Enziguri, Neville made the tag to Kidd, who took out the tagged-in Jey with a Springboard Clothesline. Kidd had his Tiger Driver attempt countered with a Back Body Drop, but he landed on his feet. Kidd dodged a Superkick from Jey and rolled him up with his back pressed onto Jey's legs to secure the first fall for himself and Neville. With Neville and Kidd on the board, the reign of The Usos looked to be in jeopardy, causing the brothers to lash out. Jimmy and Jey shoved Kidd into the ring post before taking out Neville with Superkicks. Jimmy applied a Tequilla Sunrise to Kidd, Jey heading to the top rope to splash onto his left leg! Kidd writhed around in pain as trainers and doctors tended to him, the match being stopped for a moment. Neville, irate demeanor and all, made sure that his tag team partner was alright before deciding what to do about the Two-out-of-Three Falls contest that they were currently winning. Kidd was helped to the back, but Neville opted to continue the match by himself. Now in a handicap situation, Neville stood seemingly no chance against The Usos. Jey later on planted Neville onto the canvas with a Sitout Powerbomb from the second rope, tagging in Jimmy so he could finish off 'The Man That Gravity Forgot' with a Splash to even the score. With only one fall remaining, The Usos controlled their destiny and could easily retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The Usos stalked Neville for Superkicks again, but the WWE Universe members in Tampa stood up once they saw Kidd limping down to the ring, doctors running after him since they had yet to clear him. Kidd decided for himself that he was able to compete, pulling Jey out of the ring and leveling him with a Capo Kick! The distracted Jimmy was rolled up by Neville for a two count. After Jimmy kicked out, Kidd springboarded off the top rope, which only did more damage to his injured left knee. Nonetheless, Kidd was able to execute a Tornado DDT onto Jimmy, Neville following up with the Red Arrow! Neville got the cover, but just before the official could count to three, Jey pulled him out of the ring. Kidd quickly climbed to the top rope, trying to leap onto Jey. However, Jey was able to evade harm, Kidd crashing onto his knee. Jey threw Kidd into the steel ring steps before being taken out with a Tope Con Hilo from Neville! With Jey taken out, Neville ran back into the ring, dodging a Clothesline from Jimmy and springboarding off the second rope. However, Neville was taken out in mid-air with another Superkick! Jimmy climbed to the top rope, Jey tagging himself in right before his brother crashed onto Neville with a Spash. Jey connected with one of his own before covering Neville to score the third and final fall. THE USOS ARE STILL SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
Despite the WWE Universe siding against The Usos, they couldn't help but stand to their feet and give not only Jimmy and Jey, but also Adrian Neville and Tyson Kidd a standing ovation for one of the standout Tag Team Championship matches in recent memory. Nigel McGuinness stated on commentary that with Wrestling Royalty calling it a day at Vengeance, it looks like Jimmy and Jey are going to be the ones to take the torch in tag team wrestling for themselves after four long years of waiting for this moment.
MONEY IN THE BANK BRIEFCASE: History was made four weeks ago when Paige became the first woman to ever win the Money in the Bank contract. Now, she might make more history by being the first woman to ever lose it. Paige charged right at Allie as the bell sounded, doing what she now believes she should have done when she had the chance on the Battleground Kickoff back in February. Paige and Allie's brawl spilled to the outside, where Ms. Money in the Bank ran over Allie with a Cannonball off of the ring apron. Paige rolled Allie back into the ring, but was knocked off of the apron with a huge forearm strike. Allie hoisted Paige onto her shoulders, glancing over at the barricade with a Death Allie Driver in mind. Instead, Allie turned around and rammed Paige into the steel steps, the back of her head and neck crashing onto the floor. Allie rolled into the ring to break the count since she couldn't win the briefcase that way. She then placed Paige back into the squared circle before getting a two count. With Paige still down, Allie headed to the top rope for an Elbow Drop, Paige rolling out of harm's way. Paige tried for the Antithesis knee strike, but Allie grabbed her leg in time. Allie slapped Paige across her face, 'Princess Anarchist' returning the favor. While Allie still had a hold of Paige's leg, the two exchanged strikes until Paige headbutted 'The Queen of Catch.' Paige freed herself before delivering RamPaige, Allie able to prevent the pinfall by rolling underneath the bottom rope. Paige stalked Allie and hoisted her onto her shoulders to place her back into the ring, but suddenly had a different idea. Paige wanted to give Allie a taste of her own medicine with the Death Allie Driver, but Allie was able to slide off of Paige's shoulders. Allie hit a German Suplex onto the floor, keeping the bridge to send Paige into the barricade with another one! Allie quickly placed Paige back into the ring, trying for the Death Allie Driver one more time into the bottom turnbuckle. Paige was able to counter the maneuver and bring Allie down to the mat with a Cutter. As soon as Allie got to her feet, Paige caught her directly in the face with the Antithesis! Paige grabbed Allie by the hair and brought her back up to a vertical base, although Allie could barely stand on her own two feet. Paige stared at the dazed Allie, thinking to herself about how she was once again not able to 'save' somebody from the corruption of the women's division. It happened with AJ Lee. It happened again with Alexa Bliss. She's currently watching it happen to all three members of Iconic. And because Allie believed that she needed to change in order to succeed, she aligned herself with Catch Point and scum like TJ Perkins. Paige has to understand that she can't save everybody, but she was hopeful that the knee she was about to drive into Allie's cranium would help the once-beloved superstar realize the error of her ways. Paige took a few steps back before executing the Antithesis for a second time, Allie crumbling to the floor before being pinned. PAIGE IS STILL MS. MONEY IN THE BANK!
The Money in the Bank briefcase for an opportunity at the WWE Championship remains in the hands of Paige as she was given it back after the closing bell. Paige looked down at Allie, and while she had no regrets about the fight that she gave 'The Queen of Catch,' she also hopes that Allie can come to her sense sooner or later and realize the mistake she made by joining Catch Point. But tonight, Paige couldn't be focused on "saving" Allie when she needed to save her briefcase. With this win, Paige now controls her future and the lineage of the WWE Championship. Any time, any place, she can do what no one ever believed was possible. After Paige exited to the backstage area, Allie slowly sat up in the center of the ring. While some WWE Universe members applauded her for her efforts, she still received many boos as a direct result of her choice to betray everyone who got her to where she is now. Allie's frowning facial expression suddenly turned to shock once Becky Lynch's music played! The SmackDown Women's Champion who Allie took out last month came running down the aisle and right into the ring! Allie had her one attempted strike blocked by Becky, who grabbed her arm and applied the Disarmer! Becky reeled back on Allie's arm as far as she possibly could, officials having to arrive and restrain 'The Irish Lass Kicker.' Becky was forced away from Allie, the SmackDown Women's Champion trying desperately to break through the group of referees to get her hands on Allie again. Becky has brought her brand of 'straight fire' back to SmackDown Live, and this won't bode well for Allie or anybody in Catch Point for that matter.
WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: With the deck stacked against him, Andrade 'Cien' Almas had to contest with not only the man he defeated at Money in the Bank to become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, but also the man he thought he had left behind him in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic. Almas started the contest aggressively going after both Johnny Gargano and Tyler Breeze, but was neutralized after a double team Flapjack from the two of them. Gargano tried rolling up Breeze, only scoring a two count off of it. Almas rolled to the outside of the ring while Gargano and Breeze continued to go at it, Zelina Vega yelling at 'El Idolo' to get back up since unlike in tonight's WWE Championship main event, the defending champion doesn't have to be involved in the decision to lose his title. When Gargano was setting up Breeze for a Superkick with the latter on his knees, Almas reached over the top rope and pulled Gargano out of the ring. Almas kicked Breeze in the face before positioning him against the bottom and middle turnbuckles. Almas ran towards Breeze, but 'Prince Pretty' sprang to his feet and caught Almas with the Beauty Shot! Breeze could have gone for the cover, but he noticed Gargano getting onto the ring apron. Breeze charged towards Gargano, only to be hit with a Spear through the middle rope. Gargano waited to see which of the two competitors would get to their feet first, getting his knee ready for a finishing blow. Gargano ended up taking Breeze out first before deciding to finish off Almas. Gargano had his knee strike blocked, Almas catching him with a back elbow to the side of his head. Almas locked Gargano in position for the Hammerlock DDT, but Breeze springboarded off of the top rope and executed a Blockbuster! Breeze was unable to go for a cover, though, as Zelina grabbed onto his foot from underneath the bottom rope. Breeze couldn't move, leaving a dazed Almas to drape his arm over Gargano to steal the victory. ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS IS STILL THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION!
The WWE Universe members who rallied behind Johnny Gargano were left in great disappointment after Andrade 'Cien' Almas was declared the victor and still WWE Cruiserweight Champion, all thanks to involvement from Zelina Vega. Tyler Breeze sat in a corner, irate with himself for not being able to finish off either Almas or Gargano and leave the match to be decided the way it was. Almas was handed back the Cruiserweight Title as he and Zelina headed up the entrance ramp, 'El Idolo' maintaining his position at the top of SmackDown Live's cruiserweight division.
From the office of SmackDown Live General Manager, Becky Lynch will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Allie in four weeks at SummerSlam.
AMBROSE & HARDY VS. CATCH POINT: The main roster Pay-Per-View debuts of Chad Gable and Jason Jordan just happened to coincide with Jeff Hardy's return, though the two Catch Point members were determined to not be overshadowed by 'The Charismatic Enigma' and his dream team pairing with Dean Ambrose. Hardy started things off with Gable, the latter trying to keep Hardy grounded for much of their contest. Hardy was able to run towards a corner and take Gable out with Whisper in the Wind, Gable needing to tag in Jason Jordan. Hardy tried for a tag to Ambrose, but Jordan was able to bring him away from his corner with a devastating looking Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Jordan used his strength to keep Hardy near Catch Point's corner, silencing the WWE Universe every time they chanted for 'The Lunatic Fringe' by continuing to punish Hardy. Jordan placed Hardy on the top rope and was attempting an Avalanche German Suplex, but Hardy fought against Jordan's efforts and knocked him to the canvas. Hardy crashed onto Jordan with a spli legged Moonsault, crawling over to his corner to finally make the tag to Ambrose. In came 'The Lunatic Fringe' with a flurry of strikes to Jordan, even giving one to Gable to take him off of the ring apron. Ambrose ascended to the top rope and leaped onto Jordan with an Elbow Drop, garnering a two count before Gable broke up the pin attempt. Ambrose tried to fend off Gable, but Jordan was able to grab him form behind. The duo attempted Grand Amplitude, but Hardy foiled those plans with a Flying Clothesline to Gable. Jordan was then planted with Dirty Deeds, staggering on his feet and walking right into the Twist of Fate! Hardy stepped out onto the ring apron so that Ambrose could tag him in, 'The Charismatic Enigma' soaring through the air with the Swanton Bomb to pin Jordan. DEAN AMBROSE & JEFF HARDY ARE VICTORIOUS!
As expected, the WWE Universe came unglued for the uber popular combination of Jeff Hardy and Dean Ambrose. Hardy's return to Pay-Per-View was a success, and 'The Charismatic Enigma' continues to put away Catch Point in his latest run as a WWE superstar. Ambrose and Hardy stepped onto the announce table, looking at the sea of fans who wanted nothing more than to continue seeing the two unorthodox superstars team up.
SHANE MCMAHON VS. SAMOA JOE: After believing that he's had his opportunities taken away from him on the 'Land of Opportunity,' it was now Samoa Joe's chance to prove himself against team blue's very own Commissioner. Shane McMahon started the match with a quick jab attempt, but failed to connect as Joe took advantage and fired away with right hands strikes to the forehead of Shane. Joe grabbed Shane by his neck and threw him across the ring, following up with a running Senton for a two count. Shane was quickly out of breath, Joe decided to toy with him a bit longer before taking the match seriously. Joe slapped Shane a couple of times and moved his head away during every strike attempt from the Commissioner. Joe grabbed Shane's head and rammed it into the top turnbuckle, Shane crumbling onto the canvas with his head resting agains the bottom turnbuckle. Joe drove his foot into the side of Shane's face, covering him for another near fall. Joe placed Shane against a corner, chopping him repeatedly and continuing to keep the bout one-sided. Joe finally decided to go for a Muscle Buster, but Shane was able to somehow counter it into a Guillotine Choke! Shane was able to get Joe down onto one knee before 'The Samoan Submission Machine' found the strength to rush Shane into a corner. The hold was released, but Shane sidestepped Joe as he was running towards him. Joe's chest collided with the turnbuckle, Shane then running into him with a Clothesline that sent both men over the top rope. Shane leaped off of the ring apron with a DDT to Joe, struggling to bring him up afterwards. Shane managed to place Joe on the surface of the announce table before heading up to the top rope. Shane flew through the air with an incredible Elbow Drop, but it was all for nothing as Joe moved out of the way! After Shane crashed through the table, Joe rolled him back into the ring, delivering the Muscle Buster that he had been looking for earlier. Joe covered Shane, getting the victory after a dominating performance. SAMOA JOE DEFEATS SHANE MCMAHON!
Much of the WWE Universe watched in shock at how relatively easy it was for Samoa Joe to defeat Shane McMahon, but both Rob Naylor and Nigel McGuinness agreed that from the get go, Joe was too much for the Commissioner of SmackDown Live to overcome. Joe's hand was raised triumphantly, but that wasn't enough for him. Joe continued to attack Shane, applying the Coquina Clutch. Officials tried to pry Joe off of Shane, soon doing so. They were able to move Shane into a corner, but Joe went right back on the attack. Joe stomped on Shane's carcass, SmackDown Live General Manager Kurt Angle finally running down to the ring. Angle grabbed Joe's arms to try to pull him away from Shane, but Joe shoved the Olympic Gold Medalist away from him. After weeks upon weeks of hearing it from Joe about how he's changed and is now nothing more than a corporate stooge, Angle finally snapped. He ran towards Joe from behind, hosting him up for an Angle Slam! The roof just about came off of the Amalie Arena as Angle seemingly realized what he had done, his demeanor quickly changing from aggression to concern. Joe was left lying on the mat while Angle assisted the officials in escorting Shane to the trainer's room. Angle never intended to get physical and take his frustrations out on Joe, but he let his emotions and get the better of him and will now undoubtedly have to wait for 'The Samoan Submission Machine' to strike back.
"YOU'RE THE ONLY THING THAT GETS ME HIGH AND I HATE IT": The concept of soulmates is one that many people struggle to buy into, but for Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, SmackDown Live's Iconic Duo would iterate to the edge of the earth that they belong to each other. A video package with "ihateit" by Underoath highlighted their relationship that the WWE Universe has seen blossom ever since they were drafted to SmackDown back in April. What Billie and Peyton never counted on, however, was a certain 'Black Widow' attempting to drive a wedge between them. "I used to think I had it all. Somehow I fell back into habits that tear me apart." After Billie and Peyton assisted Emma in capturing the WWE Women's Championship at No Mercy, AJ Lee struck back at Judgment Day by costing the two the SmackDown Women's Title in the Elimination Chamber. AJ finally had the chance to get revenge against the two at Money in the Bank, but when the time came to team up with Alexa Bliss against The Iconic Duo, AJ instead jumped off the stage just to avoid having to compete. It was very clear that something regarding Billie and Peyton triggered AJ, but it wasn't until their engagement was made official that 'The Black Widow' made her intentions known. During the Iconic Celebration of Partnership on SmackDown Live last month, AJ - who had just been traded to the blue brand - interrupted by planting a kiss onto Billie. "You're the only thing that gets me high and I hate it." Peyton immediately lashed out against AJ physically, but the event was so traumatic for Billie that she flew back to Sydney and has not been seen since. The following week, a 'Till Death Do Us Part match was made official between AJ and Peyton with the winner being allowed to marry Billie. As Peyton was addressing the match, footage of Billie at the Performance Center Confession Booth mysteriously aired. Billie admitted having a sexual encounter with AJ while in a relationship with Peyton, which only broke 'The Venus Flytrap.' "If it's the truth I seek, it's the truth you'll serve. If my soul is weak, then I'll make it up to you." During an interview with Renee Young this past Thursday on SmackDown Live, AJ divulged further into her feelings for Billie, stating that while Peyton may want the affection of Billie, she's the one who needs it. The interview concluded with Peyton attacking AJ, nearly throwing her out of the fifth story of WWE headquarters. With Billie's hand in marriage on the line, AJ and Peyton are prepared to fight to the death. "I don't deserve the life you give."
'TILL DEATH DO US PART MATCH: The WWE Universe members that packed the Amalie Arena had to decide where their morals lied for this contest. While AJ Lee has become one of the company's most popular and beloved stars over the last year, the line has to be drawn somewhere. What she's doing to Billie Kay and Peyton Royce isn't right, and it would appear that many people saw things that way due to the ovation that Peyton received during her entrance. Wearing her "I <3 Billie" shirt, Peyton made it clear that no matter what may or may not have happened, she's still determined to fight for the woman who she loves. AJ made her entrance next, and she happened to be wearing the exact same shirt as Peyton. A sense of eeriness came over arena as AJ stepped into the ring, Peyton immediately hitting her with a knee strike! Peyton grounded AJ on the outside, hitting her with closed right and left fists at every opportunity. AJ tried to escape under the ring, but Peyton pulled her out and allowed her back to crash onto the floor. Peyton chose not to look for any weapons since she wanted to inflict all of the punishment herself. Peyton bounced AJ's head off of the steps before throwing her into the ring post with a Gorilla Press. Peyton took AJ back into the ring, pushing her into a corner to continue punching her. It was up to the official whenever he wanted to stop this match, but Peyton wasn't trying to bring the match to an end at this point. She wanted to beat AJ for as long as she could. AJ fell back outside of the ring, but when Peyton exited out to the ring apron, AJ pulled on her legs, causing her to fall back-first onto the apron! AJ looked underneath the ring and brought out a kendo stick, smiling from ear to ear before leveling Peyton in the back with it! AJ struck Peyton two more times before Peyton was finally able to grab the stick, throwing it to the side. AJ hit Peyton with a forearm to the side of her head before delivering a DDT onto the floor. AJ took out several steel chairs, throwing each one at Peyton's head before placing them into the ring. AJ then positioned Peyton's left hand onto the ring apron, picking up the kendo stick once again to strike Peyton's engagement ring with it! Peyton clutched her hand while AJ rolled her into the ring, 'The Black Widow' staring at the pile of chairs she created. AJ brought Peyton over to a corner, positioning her on the second rope for what she intended to be a Sunset Flip. However, Peyton was able to fight back, grabbing AJ to deliver a Fisherman Buster onto the chairs! AJ pressed her face against the canvas, screaming out in pain.
Feeling that she was running out of options to put away AJ, Peyton searched underneath the ring for something that she believed could end this match and make Billie Kay hers once again. Peyton brought out the same tire iron that AJ had used to attack her with a couple of weeks ago. Peyton slid the object into the ring, but suddenly stopped since she thought that she had seen something else. She looked under the ring one more time, bringing out a small black bag. After setting up a chair in the middle of the ring, Peyton opened the bag and poured thumbtacks onto the seat. When Peyton turned around, AJ Dropkicked her, Peyton now sitting down onto the tacks! Peyton's eyes and mouth were widened as she felt the puncturing of thumbtacks for the first time in her career. "... Billie Kay means so much to these two women that this is what they're willing to go through," said Nigel McGuinness. With a sickening grin on her face, AJ crawled towards Peyton, opening her legs while staring up at her.
"Do you want to feel what she felt?"
With those words from AJ came a second wind for Peyton, who stood up and hoisted AJ onto her shoulder for a Vertical Suplex onto the chair and thumbtacks! Peyton crawled towards the tire iron that rested in the corner of the ring, determined to finish off AJ with it. Peyton ran towards AJ, but 'The Black Widow' had taken a pile of the thumbtacks in her hand, slapping Peyton in the side with them! Peyton fell to the canvas, blood beginning to drip from her cranium. AJ stood over Peyton's back and choked her with the tire iron, Peyton trying to do anything she could to free herself. Quickly, she faded into unconsciousness and the official had to make the decision to end the match. AJ LEE IS VICTORIOUS!
AJ Lee just won the right to marry Billie Kay.
That surreal feeling had to sink into the hearts of everyone watching around the world who took the stance that AJ is in the wrong here. AJ stood tall, staring down at Peyton Royce since 'The Venus Flytrap' had something that now belonged to her. AJ grabbed Peyton's left hand, took off her engagement ring and put it on her own ring finger. AJ skipped around the ringside area, showing off the ring to the masses that gave her a mixed reaction. 'The Black Widow' walked up the ramp, admiring her ring while Peyton finally came to in the squared circle. She noticed the ring missing from her finger, not listening to the official who apologized to her before saying that she needed to get medical attention immediately. Peyton ran out of the ring and up the aisle, grabbing AJ by her hair! Peyton then ran to the side of the stage, throwing AJ off and onto the concrete floor! Peyton dropped to her knees and screamed at AJ, officials arriving to both tend to AJ and get Peyton away from the scene. Peyton had to be helped to her feet since she was too much of a physical and emotional wreck to leave under her own power. She can't change the outcome of the match now. Nothing can be done. AJ is going to marry Billie.
A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live from Madison Square Garden on Sunday August 17th.
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: With every member of Catch Point failing to be victorious evening, CM Punk was the final bit of hope for the stable to leave The Bash in triumph. And to his advantage, elimination rules meant that he needed to be pinned or submitted to lose the WWE Championship. Punk was targeted by both Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes in the early portion of the match, but just like at Money in the Bank, 'The Best in the World' had Catch Point come to his aid. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan went after Zayn and Rhodes, setting up a table at ringside that they intended on being for one of Punk's adversaries. Rhodes, however, was able to hit Jordan with the Disaster Kick while Zayn sent Gable over his head with an Exploder Suplex. Gable was set up on the table, Jordan crashing onto him via a Vertical Suplex from Zayn off of the ring apron! Gable and Jordan were now neutralized as threats, Punk trying to take out Zayn and Rhodes with Clotheslines. The two superstars easily dodged Punk and threw him shoulder-first into the ring post before Rhodes tried rolling up Zayn for the elimination. Zayn was able to kick out, fending off Rhodes momentarily before leaping out of a corner with a Crossbody. Rhodes hit Zayn with a Dropkick before covering him, the former WWE Champion able to stay alive.
Rhodes grabbed Zayn by his legs when he was running towards him, executing an Alabama Slam before Punk slid back into the ring. Punk pushed Rhodes out through the ropes, leaping onto him with a Suicide Dive afterwards. When Rhodes and Punk were stirring to their feet, Zayn flew over the top rope, taking both men out with a single Tope Con Hilo. Zayn looked underneath the ring and introduced a ladder, calling back to his match last month at Money in the Bank against Punk. That was when former Intercontinental Champion TJ Perkins ran down to ringside, going after Zayn. TJP wasn't expecting Rhodes to bounce off of the ladder with a Disaster Kick to him, however. While TJP was stunned, Zayn and Rhodes both took the ladder and allowed to fall forward onto him! With TJP, Gable and Jordan down and out, that eliminated every possible interference from Catch Point since both Allie and Taynara Conti had been injured earlier. Zayn struck Rhodes with a Yakuza Kick before setting up the ladder at ringside. Zayn climbed the side of the ladder closer to the ring, the WWE Universe not sure exactly what he had in mind. Whatever it was, he couldn't deliver it as Rhodes began climbing the opposite side of the ladder. The two met at the top and exchanged strikes, Zayn soon catching Rhodes in position for a Superplex from the top of the ladder into the center of the ring! Both superstars crashed hard onto the canvas, all of the wind being knocked out of them. Punk crawled into the ring to pick up the scraps, draping his arms over both Rhodes and Zayn to eliminate them in one shot. CM PUNK IS STILL THE WWE CHAMPION!
An anti-climactic outcome to the main event as CM Punk was able to eliminate Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn at the same time, the latter two having beaten each other to the point where Punk was able to capitalize. Punk rose to his feet as he was handed back the WWE Championship, and even though the fans are usually mixed with their receptions for 'The Best in the World,' everyone in the Amalie Arena felt that they had been cheated out of a proper conclusion to a championship match. Chants of "Bullsh*t" could be heard, Punk not caring one bit for what the fans wanted to see. After stepping off of the second rope, Punk turned around and was drilled by a Helluva Kick from Zayn! The dazed Punk staggered into the center of the ring, not knowing where he was when Rhodes planted him with Cross Rhodes! 'The Underdog from the Underground' and 'The American Nightmare' believed that they had themselves to blame for blowing what may have been their final opportunities each to become WWE Champion. Rhodes left the ring first while Zayn glanced down at Punk and the rest of Catch Point, making sure he'll never forget the faces of everyone who helped take away the WWE Championship from him.
With Zayn and Rhodes now gone, Punk was left lying in the center of the ring with the WWE Title folded to the side of him. 'The Best in the World' might not look like a winner, but he'll be leaving The Bash with his WWE Championship reign intact.
Now… what’s next? Where do I go from here?
I’ll continue to make history and do what nobody thought was possible.
When I get out of this hospital and back into the ring, I have only one goal on my mind.
I am going to become the first woman to ever be WWE Champion.
The second that Paige's entrance music sounded, everyone in the Amalie Arena, from fans to WWE employees, rose to their feet in both shock and excitement. Paige ran down to the ring with her Money in the Bank briefcase, her hands and legs visibly shaking. Before handing over the briefcase, Paige noticed TJ Perkins running towards her. Paige dodged TJP and struck him upside the head with her briefcase in a poetic justice-esque moment. Paige then gave the official her briefcase, screaming at him to start the match. Every WWE Universe member in Tampa, and maybe even around the world, stood with their hands to either their heads or mouths, not wanting to get their hopes up since the Money in the Bank briefcase doesn't guarantee anything but an opportunity.
The official gave the briefcase to Greg Hamilton, who announced that the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WWE Championship.
CM Punk slowly rose to his feet, still out of it after being attacked by Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes following the initial WWE Championship match. The official finally called for the bell, making Paige's cash-in official. 'Princess Anarchist' ran towards Punk with the Antithesis, colliding her knee into his face! Punk did not immediately go down as he held onto the top rope to keep his balance. Paige delivered a second Antithesis, Punk letting go of the rope this time. Every fan watched in anticipation and nervousness as Paige had to try keeping her composure. All it would take was one slip up, one mistake and she'd choke just like she did at the Royal Rumble when the Universal Title was on the line. She waited for Punk to stand back up for the final blow that would make her dream either realized or abandoned.
Paige raised her right knee higher than ever before, leveling Punk in the forehead with a third Antithesis! Punk collapsed onto the canvas, Paige covering him while the WWE Universe counted along to the official's count.
One!
Two!
Three!
PAIGE IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION!
She did it.
Paige called her shot and she did it.
The single most shocking moment in WWE history just transpired.
Every single person in the Amalie Arena burst cheers, and some tears, while Paige stood on her knees, covering her eyes while crying intensively. The official announcement took some time to sound since everyone at ringside couldn't believe what they were witnessing, either. The official took the WWE Championship and presented it to Paige, who still had yet to remove her hands from here eyes and even see the title in front of her. When she finally did so, her trembling hands took the WWE Title. Paige slowly stood up, staring at the title while continuing to let her tears pour out. Finally, the announcement was made by Greg Hamilton that Paige just became the WWE Champion. 'Princess Anarchist' stood on the second rope and held the title high in the air, making her supporters proud while defying every critic who said that she was in over her head for having this goal. After everything that Paige has been through, from the loss of her unborn child, to the torment from The Committee, to a main event match at WrestleMania against Bray Wyatt, she can now say that the road through hell paved the way for immortality and an accomplishment that no one every believed would be etched into the record books.
For the first time, a woman is the WWE Champion. The same championship that has become synonymous with names like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena is now in the possession of the ultimate underdog who proved that if you have a dream that you believe is worth seeing through to the end, you make it happen no matter what.
Paige is WWE Champion.

- John Cena is officially a Grand Slam Champion in WWE in this diary now especially now that Cena just beat TJP to become WWE Intercontinental Champion at The Bash. Cena at this point now is a first ballot future WWE Hall of Famer so that being said now that Cena is IC Champion I wonder if he is going to lay out the John Cena Open Challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship much like what he did for the US Title? Cena obviously by hosting Open Challenges he gives new talent or any talent a chance at his title and Cena that way by defending the title regularly like that against mystery opponents he actually brings prestige back to that title. However, TJP does have a rematch clause for that title so it begs the question of if and when he decides to use it.
- The Usos retain their Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships against Neville and Kidd in a 2 Out of 3 Falls Match at The Bash in a classic. This match more or less basically is one of the best Tag Team Matches that I have seen in a long time but this match more or less put The Usos on the map as far as being one of the greatest tag teams not just in Smackdown Live's history but in the WWE right now no team in this diary could match them...probably the RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival could but The Usos are in a league of their own. As for Neville and Kidd I can see them going their separate ways as a team and both of them back as singles competitors. I mean it is inevitable at this point.
- Paige retaining her Money in the Bank briefcase against Allie doesn't surprise me given the fact that you basically build Paige up as a big deal so why wouldn't she go over Allie? Something tells me that Paige will either cash in successfully or try to cash in on the WWE Champion and fail. Seeing the Smackdown Live Women's Champion The Man Becky Lynch show up post match and attack Allie...that pretty much was inevitable given what Allie did to Becky Lynch.
- Andrade Cien Almas retaining his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Johnny Gargano and Tyler Breeze in a Triple Threat Match basically just builds Andrade up as not only WWE Cruiserweight Champion but it also builds up the belt considering the title is practically new here on Smackdown Live. With him beating 2 formidable Cruiserweights it begs the question of which Cruiserweight will try to beat him for that title? I mean the Cruiserweight well 205 Division is exclusive only to Smackdown Live so that means all the Cruiserweights more or less compete here on Smackdown Live so it begs the question of who does Andrade face next?
- Becky Lynch defending her Smackdown Live Women's Championship against Allie at SummerSlam makes sense given the fact that they were supposed to face each other here at The Bash but since Allie put Becky on the shelf and Becky is back now...they can have that title match at SummerSlam
- Dean Ambrose and Jeff Hardy one of the most weirdest tag team combinations I have ever seen and they manage to beat Catch Point members Chad Gable & Jason Jordan American Alpha was definitely expected to say the least. Why? This was Jeff Hardy's first match on a WWE PPV in over 5 years so there was no way he was gonna lose in his return match especially on a PPV and Ambrose he has been on a roll too as of late as well. I mean I was expecting an Ambrose heel turn by him turning on Jeff Hardy because I just saw it coming but I can definitely see Dean turning heel on Smackdown Live sooner or later.
- Samoa Joe beating Shane McMahon here basically just means that Samoa Joe is probably next in line for a title shot at the WWE Championship. I mean those were the stipulations that if Joe beat Shane he would get a title match whenever he wanted it and if Joe lost Shane would basically control Joe's fate going forward. Joe basically destroyed the Smackdown Live Commissioner and with him doing that I wonder what this means now? Angle more or less intervening on Shane's behalf and putting his hands on Samoa Joe like that giving him an Angle Slam...it makes me wonder if Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle is gonna happen now? If it does then I wonder if Joe will end up facing Angle at SummerSlam? Or will Angle try to screw Joe by telling him that what he did to Shane basically will take away his title shot...then I could see Joe going nuts and attacking Angle but then if that happens...however the seeds were basically just planted
- This Till Death Do Us Part match I obviously do not care enough about this match to really comment on it. Why? Because of just how stomach churning it was for me like seriously this is what the Women's Division has come to? AJ Lee winning the match by beating Peyton Royce in order to win Billie Kay's hand...like really?
- Punk retaining his WWE Championship against Zayn and Rhodes in a Triple Threat Elimination Match...I probably would have gone with a regular Triple Threat Match instead of it being an Elimination Match but Punk winning was inevitable. Why? Not only is Punk the Best in the World but let's face it Punk has had the odds stacked against him for the longest time and he always managed to come out on top. He has been in multi man matches so of course it wasn't his first rodeo.
- Paige cashing in her briefcase on Punk post-match...such a predictable outcome that even I saw this coming. I mean it took how many finishers of hers just to put Punk down? It took 3 Antithesis finishers to put down Punk in order for her to become champion...I mean Paige does she deserve to be WWE Champion? In my opinion no she doesn't deserve it given the fact that she had to take advantage of Punk post-match just to get the job done and not to mention if she is in there with Punk again or any other man on the roster like let's say Samoa Joe or even John Cena she would get flattened like a bug which basically means this title reign of hers won't last. Yeah she made history and she can enjoy it now but let's be honest it won't last.

Yeah she made history and she can enjoy it now but let's be honest it won't last. I don't normally respond to responses, but I'll make an exception in this instance to clear up some plot holes you've presented. Samoa Joe was never promised a title opportunity for beating Shane. He just wants to make Shane and Angle pay for what he feels is his mistreatment on SmackDown Live. You've said this in several of your responses, and I don't understand where you got that idea from. Joe doesn't have a title shot. The number one contender as of right now is CM Punk because of his rematch clause. No one else is in line yet. There is no 205 division on SmackDown Live. I've never suggested that there's a weight limit in the Cruiserweight division. It's just a division of people who fit the cruiserweight billing, and just like the women's division, these people can switch between "their" division and the "regular" division with the rest of the roster. Paige has defeated men before. She beat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes and TJ Perkins on television, and The Miz at Backlash. And she won the Money in the Bank match against five men. There's no reason to think that she's incapable of competing with anyone of any gender. And to be completely honest, if it's only July and you've already lost interest in Paige, AJ Lee and The Iconic Duo, there's no harm in not continuing to read the diary because they're only going to be featured more heavily from this point on. This is their story. They're the main characters. Everything revolves around them and it'll be that way until the diary is over.

July 21st, 2014 | Episode 015 | "God's Plan" MIZ TV WITH DARIO AND MATANZA CUETO: Two nights removed from Vengeance, Monday Night RAW kicked off with a special edition of Miz TV featuring Matanza Cueto and his brother, the RAW General Manager Dario Cueto. Miz welcomed the two into the ring before telling Dario that while he believes that he's done an exceptional job running RAW over the last few months, the preferential treatment for Matanza is something that rubs him the wrong way. "He's your brother and all, and I understand that, but sooner or later, I think you'll have to ask yourself how you can continue to give opportunity after opportunity to somebody who can't seize any of them." Matanza took a few steps forward, Dario stopping him. Miz continue to rant, saying that Matanza lost the Elimination Chamber, Money in the Bank, Cueto Cup AND Monster's Ball, the latter coming against somebody who isn't even a full-time competitor. "When is it going to hit you that your baby brother is nothing more than a monstrous loser?" Miz asked. Matanza took a chair from the Miz TV set and threw it towards Miz, Dario having to calm his brother down before asking him to leave the ring. Once Matanza was gone, Dario told Miz that while he takes offense to the disparaging remarks against his brother, he realizes the amount of courage and guts it took for Miz to say all of that directly to the face of 'The Monster.' For that, he can respect 'The A-Lister.' Miz knew Dario would see things his way, continuing on to say that he's clearly a wise General Manager, so he should reconsider the outcome of The Cueto Cup. "I mean, I get that you put all of RAW's top superstars against each other, but even you couldn't have imagined Finn Balor scoring the biggest upset in WWE history against me, right? This tournament was clearly meant to put myself into the Universal Championship match at SummerSlam because how could 'The Biggest Party of the Summer' not feature the biggest superstar on your roster in the main event?" Miz suggested that Dario take Balor out of the Universal Title match against Derrick Bateman because quote, "Nobody wants to see Finn Balor in the main event." Dario thought about it to himself for a bit before saying that he can agree with some of what Miz was saying. "Maybe I got too carried away with The Cueto Cup. A Universal Championship match at SummerSlam was probably not the answer," Dario said. Miz expressed joy over Dario's decision, but the RAW General Manager was not yet finished. "To give somebody a championship opportunity that they wouldn't receive for another four weeks was cruel on my part, was it not? And besides, after what happened at the end of The Bash last night, I refuse to allow Paige to single-handedly put SmackDown Live in the spotlight over WWE's flagship show." Miz realized what Dario was doing and tried changing his mind, but to no avail. "Thank you for making me see the error of my ways, Miz. Finn Balor won't receive his Universal Championship match against Derrick Bateman at SummerSlam. He'll be receiving it... tonight!" Dario exited the ring while Miz stood frozen, the WWE Universe going wild for the announcement. On the stage, Universal Champion Derrick Bateman stormed through the curtain to confront Dario, irate over the fact that he'll be defending his championship tonight against Balor.
AJ STYLES DEF. KEVIN OWENS via the Styles Clash following a low blow that the official did not catch. Post-match, Styles declared that in light of Dario Cueto's announcement, he wants to be the one to go on to SummerSlam and challenge the winner of Derrick Bateman and Finn Balor's Universal Championship.
DANIEL BRYAN IS GREETED BY A DEBUTING SUPERSTAR: At this time, Daniel Bryan's entrance music sounded as he made his way out to the ring. Two days after besting Randy Orton at Vengeance, Bryan stated that with The Wyatt Tribe behind him now, he wants to shift his focus to the Universal Championship. "AJ Styles just said that he wants to take on either Derrick Bateman or Finn Balor at SummerSlam, but what Styles might be forgetting is that he's already had his opportunities to become Universal Champion while I have yet to receive even one shot. So what do you say, Miami? Does the WWE Universe want to see Daniel Bryan challenge for the Universal Title at SummerSlam?!?" Bryan was met with an overwhelming amount of "Yes!" chants before a surprising entrance theme caught him and the entire world off guard. The name "Kyle O'Reilly" appeared on the titantron as the former NXT Champion officially made his Monday Night RAW debut. O'Reilly walked into the ring, greeting Bryan before telling him that it's an honor to be in the same ring as him. "And I'm sure that the feeling is mutual since you now get a look at the man who you're passing the torch to because now that I'm here, you are no longer the best technical wrestler on Monday Night RAW." O'Reilly told Bryan that the Universal Championship match at SummerSlam should go to somebody who can carry the brand into the future. Not someone who is competing on his last legs. O'Reilly tried getting under the skin of Bryan to no avail as Bryan attacked him with forearm strikes before O'Reilly's coach, Bobby Fish, entered the ring through the audience and clipped Bryan behind his knee. O'Reilly applied a Kneebar to the prone Bryan, officials needing to pry RAW's newest talent off of Bryan.
SASHA BANKS DEF. CARMELLA after James Ellsworth refused to give Carmella a pair of brass knuckles that she ordered him to carry. The distraction allowed Sasha to roll Carmella up for the victory. Sasha exited the ring while Carmella and Ellsworth argued in the ring, the latter apologizing profoundly.
HEATH SLATER'S UNEXPECTED TITLE DEFENSE: Footage was shown from earlier in the day of the new Hardcore Champion Heath Slater shopping for an above ground pool that he promised his undisclosed amount of kids. Slater was greeted by a short-statured worker with a massive beard, who assured Slater that he would help him find the perfect pool for his family. As Slater was looking around, the worker suddenly rolled him up and called over an official that he had on hand in the store. Slater was able to kick out of the roll up before the worker charged towards Slater, accidentally running into a display stand. The worker's beard came off, revealing himself to be a now unconscious Drake Maverick. Slater covered Maverick to retain the Hardcore Championship, quickly leaving the store afterwards.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: Billie Kay returns to SmackDown Live for an engagement party with AJ Lee. TJ Perkins invokes his rematch clause for the Intercontinental Championship against John Cena, and CM Punk does the same when he challenges Paige for the WWE Championship.
ALEXA BLISS VS. EMMA GETS EVEN MORE PERSONAL: New RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss entered the ring at this time to thank the WWE Universe for standing by her after what she considered to be the most difficult few weeks of her career. "I've never tried to shy away from who I am. I'm an open book when it comes to my past struggles, and Emma tried to take advantage of that. Emma... you hit me where it hurt the most, but guess what?" Alexa then raised the RAW Women's Title, declaring that she was able to get back up just like she always has before. As she expected, Alexa was interrupted by Emma, who slowly walked out to the stage carrying the one thing she has left to her name, that being the RAW Money in the Bank briefcase. Alexa challenged to get into the ring so they could end their rivalry once and for all because even though she has the Women's Title now, she won't be happy until Emma's out of her life for good. Emma slowly raised a microphone, asking Alexa one question. "You thought I hit you where it hurt the most?" Emma laughed to herself while a confused Alexa stood in the ring. Just a few seconds later, Alexa was grabbed from behind by a debuting Buddy Murphy, who hoisted her onto his shoulders for Murphy's Law! Murphy, who was once engaged to Alexa, stared down at his former lover with a look of hatred and disdain in his eyes. On the stage, Emma continued to smile, finding a way to continue making Alexa's life a living hell now that she's gotten Murphy involved.
MUSTAFA ALI VS. SOFIA CORTEZ ENDED IN A NO CONTEST after The Undisputed ERA attacked both competitors. That led to the new United States Champion Seth Rollins making the save, turning the one-on-one match into a Six Person Tag.
UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS, MUSTAFA ALI & SOFIA CORTEZ DEF. ADAM COLE, CHRIS JERICHO AND MICHAEL BENNETT via a Curb Stomp to Jericho. Rollins, Ali and Sofia stood tall afterwards while Cole angrily headed up the entrance ramp without waiting for the rest of The Undisputed ERA.
DARIO CUETO GIVES ROMAN REIGNS AND BRAUN STROWMAN AN ULTIMATUM: At this time, both Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman were called into Dario Cueto's office, neither too pleased to see one another there. Dario stated that while Reigns and Strowman may believe that he's out to get them, he wants to show them that he has no harsh feelings towards either, even if they did destroy his real office at Vengance, forcing him to use a normal room for the time being. Dario told the two that he's going to give them an ultimatum. "The only way you I'm going to keep you both on my roster is if you can put your difference aside and learn to work together, and I found just the way to do that. This isn't something I thought I'd ever do, but at this point, I'm desperate to get you both out of my hair. So, next week, you'll have to coexist because I'm giving the two of you a RAW Tag Team Championship match against The Revival."
ALEISTER BLACK DEF. MATT HARDY via Black Mass. As Black stood tall in the ring after the closing bell, he was ambushed by Matanza Cueto. Matanza, who received an earful earlier from The Miz about being a "bust" instead of a "monster" laid waste to the undefeated Black, planting him onto the canvas with Wrath of the Gods.
NEXT WEEK: With The New Day officially back in the picture on Monday Night RAW, Xavier Woods looks for retribution when he takes on The Wyatt Tribe's Randy Orton. Plus, Kyle O'Reilly makes his in-ring debut when he takes on the man he deemed to be his predecessor, Daniel Bryan. And as we learned earlier tonight, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman must get on the same page when they challenge The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Championships.
FINN BALOR DEF. UNIVERSAL CHAMPION DERRICK BATEMAN via disqualification, resulting in Bateman retaining the gold. As Balor was prepared to finish off 'The God of the New Era' with Coup de Grace, The Miz ran down to the ring and shoved him off. Miz assaulted Balor before delivering the Skull Crushing Finale. Balor's Cueto Cup prize was now gone because 'The A-Lister' couldn't stand the fact that he was defeated by 'The Demon' at Vengeance. Bateman was handed back the Universal Championship, standing tall over Balor with the gold. At that moment, Miz caught Bateman by surprise and gave him a Skull Crushing Finale as well! With both Bateman and Balor down and out, Miz picked up the Universal Title, showing the WWE Universe what he believes should be their reality.

- The Miz on MizTV interviewing The Cueto Brothers as his guests was definitely unexpected to say the least. I have to give Miz credit here he definitely had guts and real courage for saying everything to the Cuetos that they needed to hear because quite frankly everyone has been thinking it. Miz is right because the RAW GM Dario Cueto he has been giving his brother Matanza Cueto special treatment for the longest time and granting his brother countless title shots at the WWE Universal Championship and what has Matanza done? He has failed every single time when it comes to trying to win the WWE Universal Championship. Miz on the other hand has done it all in this business something that Matanza Cueto knows nothing about. Matanza wanting to attack Miz but having to be stopped by his brother the RAW GM was also what I expected. Miz in this instance came off like a babyface in this segment but then goes right back to being a heel within seconds. Only Miz can do that and of course Miz wants a shot at the WWE Universal Championship but that Finn Balor doesn't deserve it. Well Finn did deserve it because he actually won The Cueto Cup by beating Miz in the Finals to earn his title shot at SummerSlam but what does Cueto do? He caves into Miz and decides to give Balor his WWE Universal Championship match instead of SummerSlam giving it to him tonight here on RAW. This of course seems like something Dario would do. Bateman having to defend his WWE Universal Championship tonight here on RAW against Balor in the main event...something tells me that Miz will get involved and cost Balor the match.
- AJ Styles using a low blow and a Styles Clash to beat Kevin Owens while the referee's view was obstructed...that is a heelish thing to do so it makes me wonder if this is the start of an AJ Styles heel turn? I mean AJ is obsessed and has been obsessed with becoming WWE Universal Champion so he is willing to do just about anything to win a match even resorting to heel tactics to win. So is this the start of an AJ heel turn and a Kevin Owens babyface turn? If that is the case then I can see it being AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens at SummerSlam with the winner becoming #1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship at the next RAW PPV after SummerSlam.
- Daniel Bryan being attacked by a debuting Kyle O'Reilly...Kyle O'Reilly is a former NXT Champion but him showing up on the main roster out of nowhere on a RAW episode is shocking to say the least. What was even more shocking was seeing Bobby Fish come out from the crowd and out of nowhere comes into the ring and attacks Bryan from behind and O'Reilly taking advantage...it seems that Bryan's next feud has been determined. I can see it being Daniel Bryan vs Kyle O'Reilly at SummerSlam.
- Sasha Banks beating Carmella doesn't surprise me given the fact that Carmella has been on a downward spiral ever since coming here to RAW from NXT so I wonder if this will be a start of a Carmella heel turn? Carmella doesn't need Ellsworth or even Big Cass or Enzo...she needs no one
- An unexpected 24/7 WWE Hardcore Championship title match and it happens in of all places a store. Slater nearly almost lost the WWE Hardcore Championship to of all people Drake Maverick but Slater retaining his title basically should go to show all of us that Slater from now on should have eyes in the back of his head because sooner or later someone could very well pin him for that title.
- Emma of course targets the RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss but instead of doing it herself she has someone do her dirty work for her and who better than Buddy Murphy? Seeing Murphy attack Alexa from out of nowhere was unexpected.
- Adam Cole leaving Jericho and Bennett out to dry...something tells me that Cole will replace Jericho and Bennett with O'Reilly and Fish...they are the true Undisputed Era which is why I see O'Reilly and Fish attacking Jericho and Bennett officially kicking them out of The Undisputed Era...and Cole, O'Reilly and Fish become Undisputed Era
- Will Reigns and Strowman be able to co-exist as tag team partners especially when it comes to facing the RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival? I think not. If anything I can see Roman Reigns turning back heel and turning on Braun Strowman leaving him to fend for himself against The Revival. Or Roman somehow spears Strowman over and over and The Revival take advantage. I see this leading into a Strowman/Reigns feud which will culminate into a match at SummerSlam.
- Aleister Black's undefeated streak is still in tact with him beating Broken Matt Hardy...I mean it doesn't matter who is put in front of Aleister because he keeps winning match after match. However, seeing Matanza Cueto attack Aleister Black and leave him laying I wouldn't be surprised if we get Matanza Cueto vs Aleister Black at SummerSlam.
- Finn Balor beating Bateman by DQ in the main event for the WWE Universal Championship because of Miz getting involved and costing Balor the match was what I expected and I was definitely right. Seeing Miz attack Bateman too and leave him laying also with a Skull Crushing Finale and hold up the WWE Universal Championship makes sense because Miz wants the title as well. I can see it being a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Universal Championship with Bateman defending his WWE Universal Championship against Miz and Balor in the main event of SummerSlam.

What is Aztec Warfare some kind of tournament or something to determine who will face Bateman for the WWE Universal Championship?

July 23rd, 2014 | Episode 015 | "New York State of Mind"
WILLIAM REGAL ADDRESSES THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP SITUATION: In the ring, NXT Commissioner William Regal addressed the NXT Universe regarding the injury sustained by NXT Champion Tye Dillinger last week. 'The Perfect Ten' will be out of action for an extended period of time, meaning that the NXT Title must be vacated in order to move forward. Bobby Roode interrupted Regal, believing that since he was already the number one contender for the NXT Championship at TakeOver: MSG, the only logical solution would be to name him the new NXT Champion right there and then. Regal told Roode that while that would be the easiest route for him to take, it's not what NXT deserves. "This brand and these people deserve to see a new champion crowned the right way." Regal said that Roode will be in the main event at TakeOver, but his opponent will be determined in the opening match in Madison Square Garden between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. The match that the world didn't get to witness in the Cruiserweight Classic would finally take place, the winner would receive an NXT Championship match. However, Regal was then interrupted by Paul Heyman, who vouched for his client Lars Sullivan in the discussion for NXT Champion. "Take one good look at Lars Sullivan and you see somebody who could have sold out Madison Square Garden in any era of professional wrestling. Think about Lars Sullivan standing across the ring from Bruno Sammartino in the world's most famous arena! Think about Lars Sullivan in the 1980s as Hulkamania's kryptonite in MSG! Put Lars Sullivan in a WWE ring at the peak of the Attitude Era and I guarantee you my client would have bested the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock with the eyes of the world on Madison Square Garden!" Heyman said that Regal has the chance to be the man to grace Madison Square Garden with the leviathan that is Sullivan. That led to Famous B getting involved, who made his case about why 423-GET-FAME's Velveteen Dream deserved to be included in the Number One Contenders match at TakeOver. "Every single NXT great that has come before had one thing in common: an opportunity. Seth Rollins wasn't NXT Champion immediately. He was given the opportunity to take this brand to the next level. Before there was Adam Cole Bay Bay, there was Adam Cole NXT Champion, and that's because somebody gave him an opportunity. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Kyle O'Reilly... ALL of them were given opportunities. You, Mr. Regal, just gave opportunities to Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Give one more opportunity to a rising star, because in the most famous arena in the world... I guarantee you that The Velveteen Dream will make NXT... famous." Regal considered both options before ultimately making one that Roode, Heyman and Famous B would just have to accept. At TakeOver: MSG, Omega, Ibushi, Sullivan and Dream will compete in a Fatal Four Way match. The winner advances to the main event against Roode for the NXT Championship.
1) RICOCHET & UHAA NATION DEF. NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS DREW MCINTYRE & JINDER MAHAL IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via a 630 Senton from Ricochet to Mahal. As a result of this win, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation will receive one more NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity, and just as they requested last week, it'll be in a Ladder match at TakeOver: MSG.
2) MAGNUS DEF. CJ PARKER via a Texas Cloverleaf, opting to go for the submission victory to send a message to Matt Riddle. As Parker was getting to his feet post-match, John Morrison hit the ring and took Parker out with a Flying Chuck Kick. Morrison stood tall over Parker, continuing to remind both 'The Moonchild' and the NXT Universe that he won't be overlooked any longer on NXT.
THE QUEEN OF THE RING TOURNAMENT begins next week immediately following NXT on the WWE Network.
NEXT WEEK: Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Lars Sullivan and The Velveteen Dream will all be in the same ring at the same time in their only verbal confrontation ahead of the Fatal Four Way Number One Contenders match at TakeOver: MSG.
3) TONI STORM DEF. NIKKI CROSS VIA DISQUALIFICATION after all members of SAnitY attacked both Toni and the official. With Toni surrounded, Nikki was able to take her down with a DDT, allowing Eric Young to descend with an Elbow Drop onto her. Jimmy Havoc followed up with the Acid Rainmaker, Toni rolling to the outside. She was then struck with Darby Allin's Trust Fall, all while the audience members in Full Sail chanted "Bruiserweight." PROGRESS Champion Pete Dunne had already returned to the UK, leaving Toni to fend off SAnitY on her own. As Toni crawled up the entrance ramp, Tommaso Ciampa crashed his knee against her head. Toni was left lying on the ramp as SAnitY joined together as one in the ring, extracting what they believed was justified revenge for Havoc's PROGRESS Championship loss.

- I am probably most excited about this Queen of the Ring tournament and why? It has The Queen...who is Genetically Superior that being The Dirtiest Woman in the Game that being Charlotte Flair as one of the participants in this tournament. The business is in her blood growing up in this business as Ric Flair's daughter she pretty much knows the tools of the trade and not to mention you have other women in there like Asuka, Nia Jax, Bianca Belair, Bayley, just to name a few. I bet that even if these women don't win the tournament these women will end up on Smackdown Live and on RAW anyway on the main roster right away anyway.
- A Fatal 4 Way to determine who faces Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver MSG the night before SummerSlam 2014 is actually awesome...and the participants in the match being Paul Heyman's client Lars Sullivan, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and The Velveteen Dream...as for who wins the Fatal 4 Way I have a feeling it will be The Cleaner Kenny Omega who wins
