first off im sorry if this isnt allowed.
Does anyone know how to unlock an Iphone 4s? I have a Sprint Iphone 4s and i have looked on google but found no free ones. any help appreciated.

stop making iphone threads. that's how. jailbreaking and unlocking is legal in the usa as far as I know. not telling you how though, just incase.

Why didn't you just buy one that was already unlocked? I'm assuming this is the phone he was talking about buying on craigslist in another thread, so I doubt he could afford the non-subsidized price for an iPhone, especially with him being so unwilling to pay $30 or so to unlock the phone. |

Are you talking about unlocking so you can put it on another carrier or are you talking about jailbreaking? They are completely different things. Also, if you've got a Sprint iPhone, it's stuck on the Sprint network. VZW won't activate Sprints MEIDs or IMEIs or whatever they're calling them these days.

I have no clue if the 4S is dual band or not and I'm too lazy to look it up. I don't think Apple lets people unlock their phones.

as far as I know if I own something and am not trying to profit it off of it or hurt anyone i can do whatever the hell I want to my phone, however some stores won't activate it but it is becoming commonplace now plus t mobile is owned by at and t now and it's not like your hurting their pocket, just make sure you restore it to factory settings if you get it repaired at apple
and dont hate on the kid for not wanting to spend 30 bucks on what could possibly be a scam or worse theirs plenty of places in the mall at the cell phone kiosks that will do it for you for 20 possibly ten if you haggle with them
