I will know WWE is big again when my grandmother asks me about it. That is my measuring stick.

No chance..... PG Not a good enough quality product in the last 5 to 8 years. Contrary to popular belief, most of the Attitude Era was PG. It didn't become TV-14 until sometime in 1999. The Summer of 1998, which is the pinnacle of the Attitude Era with Austin and DX doing their thing, was all PG.

I think so, especially with young people. Students talk about wrestling more and more now. Its cool. When WM3 happened I was in school and the students were talking about Hogan/Andre and everybody was getting the PPV. It was amazing but that was nothing. The teachers were talking about Hogan/Andre and many ordered the PPV. It was amazing watching the teachers talking about Hogan/Andre the Monday morning after WM3. It was a special time. Good times and Happy memories for me.

It's stupid threads like this that keep moronic UFC watching idiots bagging on something that only kids 10 & down or watch as a sport. It's a ing theatre production! It's just like Edward De Vere's works he produced through Shakespeare in 15th century England. He only wrote material that appealed to a lower thinking audience. It's shallowness in story-line is a reflection of society which prefers it's violence to be imaginary but still craves the thrill of spirtial quest as we are a mythless age that is struggling to push forward culturally. That is Professional Wrestling's purpose. I will never have to claim I was wrestling before wrestling was cool because I don't live in the 2012 wrestling scene. I live in the entire history of the world's longest running stage set soap opera that started with two men named Frank Gotch & George Hackenschmit over a century ago & has embodied the passion play that is humanity ever since.

I just enjoy WWE every week. I don't care whether or not its "mainstream" "cool" or what not.
WWE was in the mainstream 1985-1991 because Hogan was that huge. He was a superhero to kids. Then they stepped out of the mainstream until 1998-2001. You know why WWE became mainstream here? Not because of the wrestling (people knew by then that it was scripted), but the profanity, partial nudity, violence. That's what put WWE in the mainstream then.
WWE picked it up last year a bit. With the Rock's return and appearance at WrestleMania, but he left again. WWE had a chance to really go mainstream again around the summer of Punk, but they blew it. Red hot storyline going with Punk vs. McMahon/Cena/HHH/Nash, then they put him in with Laurainitus/Miz/Del Rio/Truth. Punk has had to suffer from being put in mediocre storylines ever since after Night of Champions up to now. Waiting for the Jericho/Punk promos to start.
If Rock were to stick around (he won't), and Punk was put up against Cena in a long-term feud and allowed to do his own promos, I think WWE could bring back the casual fans again. But Cena will beat Rock at WM, and Punk will get put back in a stupid feud with Del Rio or the Miz or John Laurainitus again.

Social Media has made it prevelant again no doubt. Hopefully it progresses with the times and appeals to all the masses (age ranges). Personally I would love to see more pg-13/border r rating material that is just the older fan in me.

You ignorant little ****s just want to stay in the dark don't you? I give you a logical observation of the only rational reason why anyone who is as blatantly aware of profession wrestling being a dramatic portrayal of a sport that in no sense of the word "Logical" in a realistic setting?
It's a drama. Enjoy it for what it is is all I'm saying.
If you don't believe me when I tell you my observations based on pure analytical philosophy & the fact that wrestling basically taught me how to understand human emotion almost 7 years ago(I was 12 when I started watching)
You argue with the documentary...

You can have all the Facebook friends and Twitter followers on the planet, but it has yet to be proven that popularity from social networking has any impact at all on popularity outside that realm. Popularity on Facebook and Twitter has no correlation at all to the popularity of your business.

Yeah, worked out great for him, he got a five minute push, his heat died, then they jobbed him out

Yeah, worked out great for him, he got a five minute push, his heat died, then they jobbed him out He got jobbed out? His heat died? Really? He got the hell beat out of him by Kane, chose to defend his title injured, lost after taking Jack Swagger's finisher three times, and still gets "We Want Ryder" chants. I'd hardly call that jobbing out and losing your heat. Please don't talk, you sound stupid.

Yeah, worked out great for him, he got a five minute push, his heat died, then they jobbed him out Zack Ryder went from jobbing on Superstars twice a month, to appearing on Raw segments with John Cena, to being in one of the most memorable midcard moments of 2011 with Ziggler and Hugh Jackman, to winning the United States Title, to being involved in the main story on Raw, wherein, he will more than likely have a big singles match against Kane at Mania, all because of Youtube. Zack Ryder became a top 5 face on the WWE roster, and out popped the Rock at Survivor Series, all through social media. So...
