I don't know how much I believe this.. WWE still has MITB listed as a PPV event and until that changes I don't think we will see it at WM or SS. Also, I would rather see Barrett win the title the old fashioned way, it would better fit his character. I think MITB would be better for Ziggler or Rhodes.

When was the last time someone won their first world title in a legit match? Mark Henry. True. And that gave him a lot of credibility. I checked, and the only other people to do it in the last five years were Christian, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, and the Great Khali, if battle royals are considered legit matches. And Sheamus is the only one that could really be considered a young, new star. Cashing in money in the bank has just been done too many times at this point. It would actually be a refreshing change of pace at this point if someone became a main eventer without it.

Took WWE damn long enough. I thought he was supposed to win the title 2 years ago.

Why is everyone complaining about guys using MITB to get over? That is kinda what it's for. To give an upper mid carder that push into the main event (unless youre jack swagger) I complain bc it seems like WWE can't make a legit title contender by building them up, they would rather give them a briefcase to get over which is stupid.

Why are they desperate to push someone who so badly needs to go back to FCW to brush up on his skills and mic skills. are you serious right now

Ugh.
Too bad. I think MITB would of really put this card over the top. Not that it wouldn't be good, but I don't think as many guys would get lost in the mix like I think it'll happen in the GM match.

I think it's just Internet news sites using Wade Barrett's injury as a scapegoat to hide the fact they blatently lied about the MITB match at WrestleMania. Think about it. How would they have got the mechanism in place to suspend the title above the ring? They're already going to have a job with the Hell in a Cell. I don't think it was ever going to be the case that there was a MITB ladder match at WrestleMania 28. Obviously, with Wade Barrett injured and out until after WrestleMania, the Websites reported a likely MITB winner being injured as the reason this match isn't taking place, when it was probably never planned. This times infinity. MITB was not going to happen at Wrestlemania and I couldn't believe how many people actually chose to believe it when that story first came out.

I don't know if I believe this so much. If so good for him although I sorta agree with some that it would be nice if more younger stars won their world titles without cashing in on prone champions. I want someone to go the RVD route again.

That just sounds way too good to be true but here's hoping. Why are they desperate to push someone who so badly needs to go back to FCW to brush up on his skills and mic skills. Brush up on his mic skills? Really?

MITB match @ SummerSlam? No thanks.
If they desperately wanted Barrett to win the MITB Match, why would they bring back MITB PPV soley for that reason?
It just seems odd.

I thin this is bull. They wouldn't scrap a whole match for one person. Also the General Manager thing was obviously a long term storyline they had planned for a little while now.

I thought the whole point of giving the people the whole year to cash it is, is because the WWE's "season" or "year" technically starts the day after Wrestlemania. Which is why it never made sense to me to remove the match from Wrestlemania because the two factors matched up and made the whole thing more significant.
Why not have someone else win it and then have a creative storyline where Wade gets hold of the briefcase. Hell, have someone good win it and have losing the briefcase be a "turning point" for that character or something.
They could go so many directions and get the same results, if not better results featuring more superstars but no.

Why is everyone complaining about guys using MITB to get over? That is kinda what it's for. To give an upper mid carder that push into the main event (unless youre jack swagger) I think people are bigger fans of a guy getting pushed steadily until he has credibility enough to challenge the champion, gimmick-free. Take Dolph Ziggler... he's been progressively built up to the point where he's regularly going toe-to-toe with every main-eventer on both brands, so if/when he becomes champion this year, it will make sense. Hotshotting a MITB win for a guy that the fans don't respect or believe in can really stunt a guy's growth (see: Swagger). Had they given Swagger a decent run as US champ before he won MITB, instead of him winning the match and the title for the unpredictability and the unpredictability alone, and not for any kind of storyline or character development payoff.
